I bought this shield for my Canon SD800IS, and I am glad I did. It does indeed provide invisible protection, but it is not accurate to call it "full body." I would say more like 80% coverage.
There are parts of the back, bottom, and sides that do not get covered. Some of them might have been too tricky to design or apply, but I think at least they could have included coverage for the upraised rectangle that surrounds the LCD screen on the back. That is an area vulnerable to scratches that I would have liked protection for. And I don't think it would have been very difficult to apply on the camera.
Speaking of application: not for the impatient! There are about 7-8 pieces to apply, and they require careful finger-eye coordination. This is especially true for the large wrap-around piece that goes over most of the front and parts of the side and top of the camera body. This was the final piece I applied, wanting to give myself some practice with the smaller, more straight-forward pieces. Besides which, there were no detailed instructions about the application process for my particular camera just a general set of directions about how to use the liquid spray in conjunction with the film.
It's been a couple of months since I did this, but I believe I worked between 45-60 minutes getting the entire shield applied. The end result: even with a lot of use, my camera still looks brand new.
