Canon 5D Mark III is expensive enough to make you want to protect it, and some cushioning of the body and hotshoe is accomplished using this product, but the rear window (covering the viewscreen) is too loose to be sure it will stay in, especially if you have a heavy lens on the camera, and/or have a tight fit putting it away in your camera bag. I ended up adding another screen protector on the camera body.

The unbroken coverage over the top right-hand buttons of the camera provides some protection against moisture, dust, etc., but the "feel" of the buttons is largely lost, and you have to push harder to make sure they activate when pressed.

I will probably take it off for routine use, but the eyelets for the camera strap make it difficult.

This thing fits like a glove. If your camera doesn't leave the studio then this thing isn't for you. For the rest of you, this skin is a must. This helped my camera survive without a scratch at a very, very dusty and hot 3 day music festival without any overheating issues which I was initially worried about. Every button is easily readable and accessible. I wouldn't trust this to absorb much impact but it's great at absorbing smaller bumps that would otherwise scuff up or damage the camera.

If I had another 5d Mark III, I wouldn't hesitate to get another one.

I have had the Delkin Snug It Pro on my Canon T1i for the last two and a half years. I took it off for the first time the other day to double check one of the features of the camera that I wasn't aware of, and the camera still looks like it is *brand new*! I just purchased a Canon 5D Mark III and the first thing I did after I placed the order for my camera was...order a Delkin skin for it. It fits *perfectly* and all of the button features are marked (either embossed into the skin or they are raised) on the skin itself. You have easy access to everything that you need to gain access to, and your camera (including the hot shoe) is protected. Only two things I would change....on this model it doesn't have a clear skin that goes over the top LCD screen (which seemed odd as they fully protect the main LCD screen on the back) and icing on the cake would be if they were to somehow color the markings for the different buttons in white or another bright contrasting color to the black skin so that those might be easier to read for people who are new to the camera and getting used to where all the buttons are (and are, ehem, getting a little older and might have a hard time seeing the black on black markings :). Other than that, this is a perfect edition to your camera to keep it looking uber new through years of use!

This thing will definitely keep the outer shell on my Camera looking like new, so long as I don't drop it from any higher than 1 foot or so. This thing fits like a glove. All the buttons and ports are available and all function readily through the skin.

Protective gear for your camera has come a long way from the hard leather case for your 35mm camera. Padded ballistic nylon cases followed and were a great advance, for it offered real protection without showing the scars of a long vacation.

With the advent of digital cameras all that has been offered are generic padded nylon pouches made for a variety of camera sizes and shapes. In my opinion, since most of these cameras were point & shoot and moderately priced the customer demand for a means of protecting the body of the camera was not very great. If the camera gets banged up a little bit or dropped, since there is no significant financial investment in it, you just buy a newer and better camera.

After having invested $4000 on a camera and lens I was keenly interested in a way that I could get some protection for the camera body as I ramble around in all sorts of weather and geography. This product looked like a great idea. I still think that it is. It protects my camera from scrapes and bumps. It does require a bit more effort to activate the assorted buttons. I like the fact that all the buttons are labelled with this product.

The low points are these: the supplied hard plastic window protector for the LCD viewfinder (though an unexpected bonus) scratches very easily despite what they say. By the time I had everything mounted I found myself rubbing the plastic window to try to minimize the scratches. Thankfully I had another screen protector underneath so no damage could have occurred to the LCD screen. Lastly, the surface is not 'grippy' at all. It is soft and you can get a decent grip on it if you grip hard. I used gloves, since it was cold, and I had no problem with grip. Once I took the gloves off I found that the lack of tackiness or grip, a bit disappointing.

Would I recommend this product? Yes, very much so. An investment in a excellent camera needs all the protection it can get. Just be sure to purchase an LCD screen protector before applying this skin to your camera.
