It is a very nice looking bag. Doesn't look like a camera bag, which is good. Strap is wide.

My main gripe is padding, it has very less foam padding. Unless you pack your camera inside the pouch, it has almost no protection. The pouch is little smallish compared to the main bag. So, if you want to use it as a small day pack, with your camera and a lens in pouch and some other essentials,it'll probably serve the purpose but using purely as a gear bag, well, better buy some other bag.

Another point is how the flap opens, it opens opposite way to most other camera bags. So, when you open it flap is on your body side and you need to hold the flap with one hand and use other hand to take out your gear. If you don't hold the flap it'll getting in your way. I'd prefer the flap open in the other way, like Kata bags.

In a nutshell, if you need a nice looking day pack with Nat Geo logo, go for it. If you need a camera gear bag, look elsewhere.

First, I bought this from Amazon Warehouse Deals, and it was listed as "Used-Like New". It was new. There were still tags on it. I guess the original packaging was damaged.

It is not too big a bag and does not look like a camera bag. It just looks like a day bag. My wife agrees it does not look like a "man purse" either. The build and quality of the materials seem to be good, however, I just got the bag and not really had a chance to take it on vacation or any serious activity. I have a Sony Nex 7, which the internal camera bag holds very well. I have room for it and the 50mm prime lens. Even with the smaller camera bag inside I can still put a water bottle in the main compartment. I also like that there is room for my iPad in the sleeve inside the main compartment. Overall, I am happy with the bag and look forward to using it this summer.

Perfect sized bag for my digital SLR, a couple of lens, flash, hoods & other accessories. It doesn't feel heavy and looks great!

I bought this for a friend who really likes National Geographic stuff and he loves it. The quality and style are perfect. It's really useful for people who carry their cameras everywhere with themselves.

The bag itself is an OK size. In the big compartment I can put my Canon 6d, which is not a small camera, coupled with the kit lens (24-105mm f4 L), the Canon 430EX flash (does not fit if mounted on the camera), a 50mm 1.8 lens (quite small) and another extra medium-sized lens (either 70-300mm L or 100mm L macro).

The biggest problem I've encountered was with the inside pouch, which is on the smallish side. From the advertisement pictures, I figured I could easily fit my camera and either the flash or another lens. Was I wrong. Perhaps if you have a smaller camera, but my 6D barely fit there with the smaller lenses monted. With the 70-300mm lens mounted, it didn't even fit at all. To put all I can inside the bag, only the camera gets the extra protection from the pouch, the rest just rests loose inside the bag. And there's not much padding to protect the contents.

But, in all, it's a nice carry-around bag, much more practical than a backpack, although the carry-on capacity is a little limited.
