I bought this case right before a business trip to China. It survived going there and coming back in my checked luggage as well as in my backback for two weeks while I traveled around China. It does an excellent job protecting the camera. Outside of a spare memory card, don't expect to put anything else in the case with the camera as it is a very tight fit.
