I picked this up to carry around my Panasonic Lumix DMC-LX5. I love the camera, and carry it with me nearly everywhere I go, and wanted an inexpensive, but well-built and comfortable case. This works great. It's got a little carabiner clip you can use to carry it on a belt hook or connect it to a purse, and there's also a little loop you can use to fasten it to your belt. I kind of wish that it also had clips for a shoulder strap option, since sometimes that's how I'd like to carry it, but this works well enough. It's not roomy but fits the DMC-LX5 easily, including its strap (if you wrap it up around the body of the camera). Plus, there's a little zipper pocket that's got enough room to add an extra battery and SD card for the camera. You've got to have some kind of case with the DMC-LX5, and this one's inexpensive, durable and works quite well.

It is hard to find a cheap camera/GPS case around this price range that I like. Also there is not many horizontal case with belt loop on the back. It has more than enough room for my Mio C310 GPS, so may be little big for the compact cameras. It feels soft with interior padding for extra protection. One pocket outside, no pocket inside. I will buy again for my future camera. See my uploaded photos.

Very nice fit for my Panasonic LX3 compact camera, I am completely satisfied.

I would strongly recommend this to LX3 users, try it and you will love it!

Tamrac end-opening case: Good protection but slipping the G11 in and out rotates the knobs. Also the hot shoe catches on a seam coming out. (This was my old A650 case, but any well-fitting, end-opening case can silently change the G11's knob settings.)

Canon PSC5100 top-opening leather case: Great looking and good impact protection, but a tight fit. The case was designed for the slightly smaller G10. Case was stretched by the G11 but I need the case's unprotected end holes to get hold of the G11 and wiggle it out.

Half dollar sized end holes must be in the Canon case so the camera's neck strap can be used as the case's strap too. I don't attach the neck strap Canon provides with the G11. Instead I use a thin, short, wrist strap which goes easily into all three cases.

Caselogic TBC-303 top-opening fabric case is conveniently zippered and fits G11 nicely, but the flexible case lets you accidentally push the "on" button. Fortunately the G11, like others, seems designed to tolerate this misstep, soon giving up trying to extend the lens.

If you carry your camera in a front trouser pocket, as I do, then the Caselogic seems best. It is thinner than the Canon with its extra leather flap and its stiffness. The Caselogic also collapses when empty so it is easy to stuff back in my pocket when the camera is out.

If I were carrying the G11 in a day pack or purse I would use the Canon case. With its stiff edges and extra leather it seems like better protection when banging into something.

Great case for the Panasonic Lumix LX5! Biggest shortcoming is the lack of padding, it'll protect the camera from a small fall, but nothing major and thick.

On the positive side, it holds the camera well, the zipper doesn't hit the case, and you can even squeeze in a couple of SD cards in the outside pocket with the lx5 in the main compartment. Light as well!

Not sure I would use the carabiner, but would snap on to pant belt loops.
