I have to tell you that I did not put the shield on. My husband did. He said it is a little tricky but the product is terrific. I decided not to cover all of the back of the camera and used the leftover for my Voyager Cell phone touch screen. I discovered one thing not mentioned in the description. It isnot slick like the usual screen protectors. Thus it makes for a better grip on the camera. But it also slows down the movement of the touchscreen when scrolling. I go too fast and miss things but not anymore. I have to touch very deliberately so I don't scroll past my favorite contacts.
