I ordered this for my digital recorder. It fits perfectly into the case without having to add any extra padding. The only drawback (if it can be considered one) is that it is a little heavy. Otherwise perfect!

There are a million soft cases for these portable recorders, but this fits the size of the DR-40s perfectly! I would strongly suggest getting one if you want to protect your gear well.

I've been extremely happy with the Pelican Micro cases. I use them to store portable external hard drives. The cases are very protective and are very well made. Though they are plastic, they seem to hold up well to use and abuse. And they're made in the USA!

I use this for my Digital Audio Recorder Tascaam DR-40 fits like a glove. Pelican cases are one of those quality products that I look for. Try the model 0915 Memory card case for the SDHC chips. I am so impressed. I use one for video and one for audio. I would put every one of my electronic toys in a pelican case if I could find the one that fits.
