I saw this case on a Japanese tourist's camera and thought it looked cool. It does. Protection? well, it will protect the camera if you bang it on the bottom. Other than that it's for looks only. A disadvantage is that it must be removed to access the SD card and battery, This could be a reason to purchase a WiFi ready SD card. I was impressed with the shipping. Amazon indicated shipping would take 30+ days and it arrived in about 5 days, It was shipped from Japan and I probably received it faster in Hawaii than others would in the mainland. Hey, for once shipping to Hawaii was faster!
