I bought this bag to serve as my main slr camera bag. I wanted to be able to store all my camera equipment in here and then take out the camera and lenses I want for the day in place in my fastpack. I looked for weeks at alot of different bags, and got this one because of large amount of storage, it's lightweight, ALL WEATHER (has a built in rain cover which is nice, because you won't lose it since it is sewn in), and it fully ZIPS closed. I saw a lot of bags that use "velcro" to secure them close, including 2 canon bags which were very nice, except for the closures were just velcro, and the velcro was only one the sides of the cover, not the front flap. Not very secure. This bag also has a piggy back slot for travel. Nice additional feature.

The main compartment is large and the height of the bag along with the dividers is helpful in making "stacked" storage. I have the main area seperated into 3 sections, the right, middle and left. The right and left section are divided again into 3 more sections all of which could be double stacked. This is because the velcro dividers have a "flap" to them. When you set the divider in and get it secure, there is a "flap" at the top that does not velcro in place and can either be left as is to provide a "tall" slot, or folded over to divide that slot into 2 shorter stacked slots.

The middle of the main compartment I have divided into 2 slots. My Nikon D40 with an attached 55-200vr lens is in on of those slots, and then the kit lens is in the 2nd slot.

On the right side I have 3 slots (or divided areas. Two of these slots are used for lenses and a 3rd slot which I have a lens hood turned on its side. You could also fold the flap of the divider over so you could stack another small item on top of the hood as well.

On the left side I have it serperated into 3 slots with are all "doubled" by "stacking". In those 3 slots I have the following: Back slot, battery charger, then fold the top flap of the velcro divider over and I have my flash in its case on top. My extra filters in there hard plastic cases in bottom of 2nd slot, with flap folded over I have my main filter case (holds three filters) on top. 3rd slot has another lens hood in it and the top is still empty and could hold a smaller item, or even a smaller lens on top part. My 18-55 "kit" lens could go there I did try it and made sure it would work.

On the covers inside there are the 2 sd pockets that have a little flap to them that velcro for security. There is also a long zippered pocket on the inside cover that I use for my camera body cover, and extra rear and front lens covers. The cover also has a zippered pocket on the outside where I store my pen lens cleaner and some lens cleaning cloths.

The front pocket is nice but not as "deep" as it looks. If you unzip it, you will find a long pocket at the back that I can open just enough to fit in my car charger and usb cord. In front of that pocket there is 3 very small mesh pockets. I have 4AA batteries in one, my camera remote in another and and extra camera battery in the 3rd. The rain cover is in a zipper just below this zipperd compartment and stuffs upwards so that is why the front pocket seems "deeper" that it is. When in actuality, it is partially the rain cover.

There is also a zippered pocket on the back of the bag. I placed my manuals in there. Lastly there are mesh pockets on each side of the bag.

I'm a Lowepro fan, they always seem to have whatever you need... this one can really hold a lot... It holds comfortably: my Nikon D90 body + 18-105mm lens + 70-300mm Lens + 50mm f/1.8 lens + fisheye 6.5mm lens + Nikon SB600 Speedlight + a small point&shoot camera + extra D90 battery + home & car charger + 5 lens filters + many other accessories (e.g. extra memory card, cables, remote controls... etc.)... It's a little big, but you can rely on it to hold all your equipments.

I purchased this bag as an upgrade from a Cullmann bag I had bought years ago. The Cullmann now holds my older Minolta Dynax 505si, even older Minolta XM and a few accessories.

After purchasing the Nikon D90, I needed a new bag. I had purchased the Lowepro Nova 190AW because there was not much selection at the time so i didn't have much of a choice. However, i have begun to appreciate it after using it. The bag has the main compartment with dividers with a rain flap zip cover, a zipped pocket on the outside of the flap, a zipped front pocket, two side elastic pockets, a rear zipped pocket and a zipped internal pocket (under the top cover). the top zips closed and includes a rain flap that locks down with a clip. a shoulder strap is included. a very nice touch is a flap that can slide over a rolling luggage handle.

The main compartment can be organized using the dividers. To give an idea of what can be carried (or more correctly what i carry); the main compartment has a D90 with lens & battery charger/cable, Sony HDR-XR160E camcorder & battery charger/cable, gopro hero HD with case and motor sport suction mount, gopro chesty, iphone tripod mount with mini-tripod, a collapsible mono-pod and miscellaneous cables. The flap zipper pocket has cleaning cloths and lens tissue. The front zipped pocket has the different gopro covers (including a floating one), gopro lcd and some manuals. The inside zipped pocket (under the cover) keeps all the gopro mounts/extensions safe. The rear pocket has the D90 manual.

The bag is well constructed and big enough to carry quite a bit of gear, yet small enough to keep as a carry on and hauling around comfortably for long periods of time. I am not sure how water resistant the material is (and i don't intend to deliberately try) but it looks like it will take a decent splashing. The bag seems strong and well stitched together. The clips and D rings for the shoulder strap are metal, unlike many other brands that make them in plastic.

The downside; the felt or velvet (whatever you want to call it) on the carrying handle is crumbling off and the sides & bottom could have benefited from some extra padding. These two reasons are why it lost a star.

A very good purchase, worth every penny and very versatile. Highly recommended.

Its a pretty descent bag. Has good number of compartments to store your small accessories. Inside the bag, I keep my T2i with grip, canon's 55-250mm, 18-55mm & 50mm 1.8 lenses, a 58mm ND Filter with case and 58mm CPL Filter with case, a 52 to 58mm filter converter ring, a 580EXII flash with its case and stand, a Yongnuo Yn-460ii Flash with its case and stand, a 3 step macro extender, a Kenko 2x teleconvertor, a Cowboystudio transmitter and its 2 receivers, a Canon LP-E8 charger, 4 LP-E8 batteries, car charger cord for the LP-E8 charger, 3 packs of 4 AA batteries, AA Charger, few USB cords and few more accessories. You may think thats too much, but you know what, I still have some room :D

So all my stuff is always with me now.

But I have 2 problems with this bag.

The internal cloth wall is too loose and it feels a lot flimsy. If you have seen the Rezo bags by lowepro, their interior is good. The internal cloth padding is quiet tight. Also They have provided very small Velcro inside, which is stitched to that flimsy cloth. So you cant adjust the dividers as you like. I mean you are limited by the amount of internal Velcro provided. Again if you have seen the rezo bags, they dont have separate velcro stitched. The padding cloth itself works as velcro. So you can stick the dividers whereever you like. Which lets you customize the bags exactly as you like. The only problem with Rezo bags (for me) is, they dont have many external compartments for smaller accessories. Thats the reason I purchased the Nova bag instead of Rezo.

I wish the had best of both the worlds of Rezo and Nova bags, i mean design of Nova and interior of Rezo :) Lowepro, are you listening?

This bag can fit my D90 attached with sigma 50-150mm f2.8 (stored vertically), Nikon 18-105mm, Nikon 35mm f1.8, Flash SB-400, and even Giottos AA1900 Rocket Air Blaster Large (Black).

There are also many compartments to store my charger, backup battery, and SD card.

The room in the bag is plenty and customizable as you see fit. Weather resistance and comfortable shoulder strap are nice options to have.

Only con is there is no room for tripod to be held with the bag, unlike slingshot 202.

Highly recommend if you are looking for shoulder bag for your equipments and don't concern much about carrying your tipod.
