Reviewers: It is neoprene...neoprene has a smell...it goes away almost completely within days.

The smell isn't terrible, but I could see how you would be disappointed the first day or two. Every neoprene product I have bought has had a smell, but they all go away relatively quickly. Just let it air out or wash it.

The case is well built and looks nice. It fits my t2i perfectly with a 75-300mm lens attached. It will work fine with smaller lenses, but you will just have a few inches of unused space on the front of the lens part of the case. It being reversible is also a plus, so you can choose between black or grey.

I would recommend this to anyone who has the appropriate camera and wants to keep it protected from scratches and minor drops, but doesn't want to lug around a big camera case all day.

I bout this case for my Canon 5DMII with battery grip and 24-105 lens. I wanted something that I could use to protect my camera, but not to have to lug a separate bag. I'll be able to fit this in a large purse or other bag pretty easily. For me, upon opening the brand new case, there was a smell, but not horrible. It smelled like anything else that comes sealed in plastic new. I expect it will dissipate soon. I may let it air outdoors before heavy use.

As far as fit, I searched high and low for a cost effective, slim solution for my hefty camera. I have nice camera bags, but they are just not always practical. I was hoping this would fill in the gaps. I believe it will. It is a really tight fit with the battery grip, but it does velcro. I may try to stretch out the straps a bit to make it easier to get on. My 24-105 lens fits great (without the hood attached). It doesn't seem too long or wide at all.

Crazy enough, I put the case on upside down (where the velcro would latch on top of the lens) and I may like how it fits better. There is a small gap (like shown in the product picture) where the camera isn't protected, and I think I might prefer that the extra battery pack at the bottom is the part that gets dinged. I also have a wrist strap that attaches to the bottom of the camera, and by putting it on upside down, the strap is usable.

All in all, while not "amazing", I believe this case was worth the $10 price tag and would purchase again without hesitation.

I recently upgraded my old Canon xsi to a 60D and wanted to do everything I can to protect it. I have a longer lens, an 18-135, on it in most cases and this cover will fit perfectly around the camera. I did not have any smell issues with my cover. It is simple to put on and takes only a matter of seconds. I do have a camera bag but this neoprene cover allows me to put the camera in a backpack, purse or even the bottom of the stroller and not worry about my new camera getting scratched up. I recently came back from a week long sightseeing trip where I did use this cover on a daily basis. Anytime the camera was on my shoulder and not in use, this cover was in place. The one issue would be that when you take the cover off to use the camera, the cover is bulky enough that you need to find a place to put it. Having three kids, I always have a stroller or backpack to throw it in to. But it is too bulky to put in your pocket. On my trip I received lots of inquiries from other tourists about where they could get their own cover. The price seems to fluctuate. I paid about fourteen for mine, but the price has dropped to eleven at the time I write this review.

Even though it's stated in the title, it does NOT support the 5D Mark II. I bought it thinking it does based on the description. Luckily I was able to sell it to a friend that has a Canon Rebel.

This product has a very strong smell upon opening. It will fill up a room. The smell goes completely away after 2 days or so. The product itself functions as advertised. I have a Canon 7D with a 17-55 lens and it barely fits. This case will not fit anything much bigger. It is also hard to secure with the velcro because of the tension created by stuffing this setup into it. I put my camera in this case then throw it in my bookbag and it stays protected. No Worries. If you just want to protect your camera and small lens from getting scratched up this will do the trick for the price.
