There are no other words for describing the handiness and protection provided by this case other than perfect since it is rigid enough to be sat upon by another person with no damage what-so-ever. The ring loop provides a quick way to connect to a belt loop and then can be quickly taken off. A similar case which I saw in a name-brand store was less rigid than this case and didn't have the ring loop that was priced at about $20 which I just laughed at. The internal elastic mesh screen serves a very handy place for additional memory cards, batteries, etc. The elastic bands found on either side inside the case allows the case to be left open with no fear of the camera falling out and can be used to quickly pull out the camera for any photo opps. I have a Panasonic DMC-FH20 and it fits the camera like a glove.

I was really looking for something more like a sleeve for my camera. But I felt I had to have something that would protect the LCD. This product did the job, and I loved the clip. I attached it to a beltloop and knew my camera would be there when I needed it.

This case was an absolutely perfect fit. I was worried the camera might bounce around in this hard case but it is held in place by the elastic of the inner pocket. There is enough room for an extra battery and memory card. Perfect for packing into a bag or suitcase. I probably won't be using it in my purse very much because I like small purses and this case is just slightly too large. The case is hard enough to withstand some pressure but it will bend with enough force.

I purchased this for my daughter. After reading all the pros and cons for several different cases, I wasn't sure if this would work. Most of the complaints centered on the size of the case; i.e., the case was too small for the ELPH camera. However, this worked like a charm. The camera slipped into the case with no problem. (Actually, the case would nicely handle a slightly larger camera in the ELPH series.) There is still room inside the case for a spare memory card. (My daughter thinks she might even be able to carry a spare battery pack. However, that remains to be seen.) For her there are two pluses: the case fits inside her rather small purse; and the ring clasp allows her to hang the case from the strap of her backpack for ready access. (I haven't rated this item yet for durability because it hasn't been in use long enough to make that determination.)
