It protects my camera..but even with a screen protector on my lcd screen..i can see a lot of ..scratches..and i never have my camera out except when i take a picture...so i believe this case is causing those scratch marks. shame.

This product is great and cheap! It is not terrible quality but it is not of a SUPERIOR quality. It is good enough for the job!! Before I bought it, I was afraid that the magnetic closure would not be strong enough to keep the flap closed but it definitely is! When you close it, there is only a tiny opening on the left and right sides where the camera is exposed. But I don't think the camera can be scratched there from such a small opening. FYI, I have the Canon SD940 IS and it fits perfectly.
