A great small bag for taking the DSLR with small lens or any smaller high zoom cameras. Will hold charger and other needs. Would I want a bigger bag to haul multiple lenses, flashes, etc, yes, but I love this for everything else.

This is my first SLR bag and bought it mainly because of the name "Tamrac" which is one of the biggest names in camera bags.

Making the mistake of buying this bag made me not to consider Tamrac again for camera bags. Why that is? Let me count the ways:

1. It's TOO SMALL. It will barely fit a small DSLR like the Rebel XT or a D70s. Got a D200 or a D80? Good luck. As for lenses? maybe for a small prime or a starter kit lens...if you have the Pro-Level lenses like the fixed f4.0 or f2.8 (I'm talking the wide-angle or mid-range zooms)...forget it!

2. Padding is HORRIBLE. the padding surrounding the bag itself is so thin Tamrac should have not provided any padding at all! That little pouch on the front? UNPADDED.

3. And the worst: Shoulder strap is NOT PADDED. Yep, that is why the product photo is shot that way: Tamrac does not want to see you that the strap isn't padded; it's just your regular, plain-vanilla nylon strap right there with a little bit of fake leater on the underside to provide some grip on the shoulder (barely). Why is that bad? Well...as you are walking on a hot day with this strap digging on your neck or bare shoulder, it would feel like something sawing on your skin! You'll never realize this until you actually use the bag for trekking/strolling.

I would not complain about this for a $20 generic camera bag but not for one that costs half-a-benjamin. Look somewhere else if you got that budget for a camera bag.
