I bought this for my Nikon COOLPIX P300 12.2 CMOS Digital Camera with 4.2x f/1.8 NIKKOR Wide-Angle Optical Zoom Lens and Full HD 1080p Video (Black) and it fits snugly. The advantage is that this is the smallest possible case for this particular camera. The Tamrac bag will work well for putting on your belt for easy camera access, or for extra protection when your camera is bouncing around your backpack. I don't think that it's waterproof. There's a small extra pocket under the velcro flap for an extra SD card or battery. The only downside for using this bag with my Nikon P300 is that it's so snug that it's a two-handed operation to put in the camera, using one hand to stretch the opening a little. The Nikon P300 is about the size of a pack of cards, plus an extra half inch thickness for the lens.It is a very nice bag. But, I had to send it back, because it was too small for the Nikon Coolpix L610. I am still looking for a similar camera bag that is larger.
