The hard case is good but if you have a NEX-5 with the larger lens you may not like this case as you have to remove the lens and put it into the pouch. This is perfect for travel as it seems to save space. However if you need to pull out the camera quickly and take a shot this may not be the case for you as you will have to re-attach the lens. I think the lens that comes with the NEX-3 will fit in the case but I am not sure as I dont have this smaller lens.

The case is light and beautiful. Its only problem is that it doesn't fit to 18-55 mm lens . It only fits to 16 mm lens

The NEX-5 comes with two lenses. The case can only accommodate the smaller lens. They provide a cheap pouch to carry the 18-55 lens. Truth is the 18-55 lens gets more use and should be the lens that stays on the camera and fit into this case. I haven't found another case from Sony that will fit the bill on this one.

This case fits my nex-5n with pancake lens perfectly. It provides adequate protection, but you will have to carry a separate case if you need a different lens. You really can't put anything else in it, but that's the trade off for such a compact case. If you are going to need your flash often, either the camera won't be in the case much or you will have to attach it every time you take the camera out of the case.

I know this was designed for a Sony product, but it's perfect for the Panasonic GX1 with the 20mm Pancake! I always have my camera with me in a case on my belt. ALWAYS. If I can't find a good close fitting case for a new camera, I don't keep the camera. I can't stand neck or wrist straps. This case is nice because the camera just fits, not tight, but snug and secure. When I unzip the case, it comes open so that I can get easy access to it, but it doesn't open so far that it will fall out, perfect. I also like that it's a semi-hard case, so if I bang into something, it's got good protection. The belt loop on the back of the case is tight, so it doesn't sag away from my body. It really is perfect for folks who just want their GX1 with them all the time.
