This case would not fit Nikon D5000 with the lens it is sold with (Nikkor 18-55mm). Other than that the case is exactly what I was looking for. Compact, padded, and comfortable. I wish I could use it for my camera.

The bag looks nice but it is too small to fit a Canon T3i with standard 18-55 lens and a camera strap. Since Canon T3i is an average size camera, the bag should not be advertised as "specifically designed to house your Digital SLR Camera". It's misleading.

This case works great for Nikon D3100 with Nikkor 18-55 lens. Bag looks durable and it's well done. This is why I like it:

-well padded,

it has front and interior pockets for accessories such as additional memory card; outside front pocket will fit battery,

there is attached but hidden rain protection cover,

bright interior,

detachable shoulder strap allows to wear the camera on the arm or messenger style; it is also padded with little plastic/rubber dots that help to keep pad in place,

there is also attachment for belt on the back of the case.

Overall good quality and perfect for me as I wanted small case. The only minus is that it could be an inch higher to fit camera strap, but thanks to double ended zipper the strap can hang outside.

UPDATE: I attached the pictures; the strap also fits inside when folded.

Honest reviews on Ape Case Compact Digital SLR Holster Camera Bag (ACPRO600)

Ordered this to carry my Canon T1i when I go out and don't want to carry a big bag of equipment with me. Fits perfectly with a 50mm lens attached. Pockets big enough for memory cards and extra battery but don't expect to fit much else in it. Strap is comfortable and bag provides adequate protection for a low profile design. Perfect for when I go out to eat and take my camera or just for a walk around the park.

I bought this camera case because I rarely travel without another bag, and I didn't want to carry a camera bag *as well*. I have this camera: Canon EOS Rebel T2i 18 MP CMOS APS-C Digital SLR Camera with 3.0-Inch LCD and EF-S 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 IS Lens

This fits snugly around my camera with the kit lens and polarizing filter attached (my other lens is smaller). I leave the strap hanging out and zip around (this lets me carry the camera by the strap with the case on it). I have the case clipped to the camera strap. If I'm just taking a quick shot or two I'll just leave the case attached to the strap, or I'll un-clip the case and put it in my bag.

It is *very* protective, and holds a surprisingly large amount without adding any bulk. I always have it carrying: an extra battery, compact charger, and an extra SD card. I then just stuff this in my back pack, side bag, suit case, or whatever bag I happen to be using. I don't have to worry about anything dinging or scratching my camera. I want to take my camera with me and I don't want it to be an ordeal.

Pros:

Small, snug against camera

Very very padded and protects all parts of the camera

Works well with strap

Fits in other bags

Durable, expensive material

Cons:

Probably won't work with a lens larger than the kit lens
