Love the case! The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is because it doesn't have a strap. I will never use the belt clip. It would be perfect if it had a strap.

Yes, you can cram it in and zip it up, but no I would not say that it "fits". "Fits" means you can put something in a bag without giving it extra thought. Every time you put an SZ-31 in this thing you will question if you are cramming a square peg in a round hole.

Otherwise the construction seems fine. Though I wish this thing had some sort of pocket for an sd card or battery.

Took it on vaction and the stitching came out after putting it on my belt for an hour. Camera was not damaged by the fall, so it does do something right.
