I've used this a few times. I have a HTC EVO 4G LTE and it fits in the case well. However when I have my phone case on the phone (a Trident AG) it is a little difficult to get the phone into the E-case. I did a lot of research leading up getting the E-case and wound up thinking this is a good value. I do appreciate the clip holes in the case and plan to hook up a "lifeline" for next years watersports season. Because if you drop the phone I doubt it will float, there isn't enough air in the case to float (although it's not advertised to do that, and the extra air wouldn't let the touchscreen operate). I'm able to make calls through the case and use the gps functions.

My phone hasn't taken a dip while in the case, so I haven't had to test it thoroughly yet.

Build quality:

First of all the case is really sturdy, as in if you try to crush it with your bare hands you will be sorely dissappointed, yet relieved that it holds up so well :) ... a cute way of saying that it is sturdy. The bottom has some hard material on it that seems like it could stop liquids from penetrating the case, but I don't recommend putting this in a puddle. The handle is thick, the should strap has metal clips with nylon fabric(seems strong), and there is a clip for your belt for "secondary" support, although i think only if you are traversing through the wilderness you will need that thing.

Build quality = redundantly sturdy but nice.

Features:

Some of the features are stated above, but notable features are the 2 side pockets which hold my memory cards, cables along with a lens cloth. The front pocket holds 2 spare batteries and other things of similar size I suppose. The inside compartment is nifty because you can adjust it to specific sizes using 2 removable walls. They attach by velcro so you can stick them anywhere. There are 2 included, but maybe one more would have been a nice add on. The clip for the belt(mentioned above) is also a nice add on, maybe also it could be for those concerned about pick-pockets while traveling.

Size:

The size is good, bigger than the lowepro edit bag, but still for compact slrs. You can't really stick anything with a lens longer than 5 inches in here.

I dont' own a micro four thirds slr but i can see how this would appeal to people with those cameras. I think they could fit longer lenses becasue the body of those cameras is so thin.

Basically, if you are an slr user that wants to pack light(and wants to thwart pick pockets while traveling), this case is a good option.

I use this bag daily for my Sony NEX 5. It is very durable and seems to be made from high quality materials. There are internal padded dividers that can be removed and positioned to any desired position using velcro. This is great for throwing my 50mm lens in the bag and keeps it protected and seperate from my camera. As well, there are external zippered pockets that hold my extra batteries, flash, ETC.

The size of this bag makes it very convenient. Keep in mind this is a smaller bag and will fit the bare essentials. This makes it perfect for me to take on hikes since it's lightweight and not too bulky. I would expect this to work well for nearly any compact DSLR or interchangeable lens camera. You won't be dissapointed once you see the build quality. I would reccomend this to a friend.

The Access is a great camera bag for hiking, biking, skiing, and probably any other activity that you need both hands for and don't want a camera or another bag swinging around your neck or shoulder. The Access keeps everything in place and very easily accessible. The "tensiflex" system is an elastic spandex type of material that does a great job of holding the camera in place without applying too much pressure. The pack is very comfortable to wear. It distributes weight well and doesn't make me hot while wearing it. It probably isn't the best pack for everyday camera carrying or urban tourism. It is going to look a little odd because it is so unique. However, there is an interchangeable shoulder strap that allows you to carry the pack like a normal camera bag. My only complaint is that I was unable to tighten the waist strap enough to keep the bag from bouncing around a little when I ran. It is secure enough that it isn't smacking me in the chest every stride, but it does wobble around quite a bit. I'm only 5'7" and have a 30 inch waist, so this may not be a problem for everyone. I think this pack will be with me for a long time and go on many hikes and rides. I would certainly buy another if I lost this one. I do not have the Clik Elite backpack that this pack is able to clip onto, so I have no idea how the whole system works together.

I am an avid hiker/climber who needs quick access to my camera when I hike. That's why I bought this Clik Elite pouch.

Overall, it is not bad but there are better and cheaper alternatives.

1. The shoulder harness is made of comfortable mesh, but the way it is designed interrupts when wearing a backpack. It is not comfortable wearing this then a backpack over it. It does provide Velcro attachments to attach to your existing backpack, but it is far from practice which leads to my second point.

2. If you use the Velcro attachments to attach the pouch to your backpack, this works but makes removing the backpack very complicated. You have to unclick all buckles, put aside your camera, then remove the backpack. The Velcro attachment points, especially the lower ones don't stay put (if you don't have Clik Elite's proprietary backpack).

3. Even when worn properly, it is not as secured to the body especially if I am leaning forward (such as when climbing/scrambling steep rocks). There is significant side-to-side and front-to-back movements.

4. You still need a neck strap to prevent the camera from flying out and falling when you are in a hurry.

The bottom line is, I haven't found a perfect solution to my need, and this product in my opinion is too complicated. I found that a simple neoprene pouch from OP Tech combined with a good shoulder/neck strap works better and more flexible (you still have to remove the camera before taking off the backpack, but it is quicker than unclick four things and having to deal with the chest harness).

Took the strain off my neck and protected the camera from swinging and bumping into things. It tended to ride up I'm 6' 2" but the straps were generally long enough to adjust. The one sided zipper made pulling the camera out hard sometimes and a two sided zipper might be better. I will order the telephoto model since much of the time I did need that lens and it fit poorly in this pack ( not the fault of this product I misjudged my needs.)

I bought this case for my Nikon P300 since it's approx the same dimensions as the Nikon S8100. I am returning the case because I feel that it does not provide adequate protection for the camera. The material is not thick enough to protect the camera from bumps, etc. and there is no extra padding in the case to provide such protection. Also, not that it mattered to me, but the case did not come with the bracelet that the product description indicated it would.

I have a Nikon Coolpix S8000 camera, and was looking for a bag to carry it along with an extra battery and SD card. For that purpose, this bag is perfect. Fits the camera like a glove, and the extra zippered pocket for the battery and SD card is perfect. The ONLY con is that strap on the camera does not allow the zipper on the case to close all the way. If the zipper didn't need to travel all the way around the side of the camera, this wouldn't be an issue. Definitely worth the purchase though!

I needed a camera bag that would hold and protect my precious Canon Rebel while I went backpacking though Mammoth Mtn., Ca for a week. I needed a case that would allow me to carry my camera by my side to allow me to quickly get out my camera to snap a few shots and stick it back in. I decided on this bag for a few reasons: I know Samsonite makes quality bags so I knew it wouldn't fall apart anytime in my lifetime, and therefore survive a backpacking trip, plus I really liked the possibility of switching it up from carrying it on my shoulder to carrying it around my hip. Yes, I rocked it as a fanny pack....and it was awesome! I'm bringing it back in style lol The fanny pack option made it super easy to hike with my pack on and carry my camera separately. The little pads where the straps connect make it super comfortable to sit on my hip even when I carried it on my shoulder. Oh and it totally protected my camera from water twice! Once when I slipped off a rock and plunged into the stream (I lack in the balance department) and another time when my friend decided it would be funny to dump a bottle of water on my head. My camera came out dry as a whistle both times, thank God! Not to mention it must have saved my camera from countless bumps and slams into rocks as we made our way slipping through the rocky terrain. So, all in all, this has been a great camera bag for accident prone adventures and was super convenient and comfortable wearing for long periods of time.

I am giving this review shortly after receiving my bag so feel free to take it with a grain of salt (afterall the honeymoon period hasn't even really started yet.) Anyway, I researched several different bags before deciding on the Tamrac 3370. I also looked at the Lowepro Fastpack 200 (Black) and the Tenba 638-651 Mixx Photo Daypack (Black/Black) (Those were the only comparable backpacks available to view at local retailers. I decided that I didn't care for the Lowepro Fastpack 200 because the top compartment was just too small. The rest of the bag seemed like it was pretty good but we have a 1 year old daughter and I wanted to be able to use the top compartment as a small diaper bag for day hikes and other short trips. The Tenba Mixx Daypack looked like a real contender with it's comparably sized top compartment and the nifty access panels on each side of the bag but upon inspection, the top compartment didn't open in a logical way (to me, someone else might disagree) and I just didn't like the way it fit when I tried it on. But just like Goldilocks and the three bears, the third bag was juuuust riiight! I loved to top compartment, and the bottom camera area just made sense to me. I have taken several pictures of this bag with and without my stuff in it and it can really hold alot of stuff. If you are a beginner I would definitely recommend this bag, but a professional or advanced amateur would probably want to move up to the 3375 or 3385. That's it for now. I will post an update after I've had a chance to lug this thing around for a while and put it through it's paces. I just wanted to get a review up since there were no pictures and no reviews for this particular item. Hope this helps!

Update 6-19-12

I have used this for quite a few trips. I haven't been able to do any hiking with it yet but if I do, I'll let you know. This backpack is exactly what I wanted it to be. We've used it for day trips with our daughter and it has been perfect. We can easily fit a day's worth of baby/toddler gear in the top compartment of this bag and I still have no problems with the camera part. If I were to make any negative comments it would be that the straps did start to bother my shoulders while in Chicago after a full weekend of lugging it around. In that regard a hip strap might have been helpful but for most situations I've found myself in I don't need a hip strap.

Update 3-5-13

I've come to the conclusion I just don't do much hiking because I still haven't been able to use it for that. What I have been able to use it for is everyday carrying. I take this thing to work everyday and it has been great. When I do go out to shoot it is great. I just took some pictures in the snow the other day and found a random metal fence post to hook the top handle on and was able to access everything in my bag without anything falling out. I've climbed over fences and foraged through the woods in search of the perfect shot. I've also used it for our original purpose (to double as a diaper bag) on trips to the zoo and farmer's market. It has worked perfect in every situation I've asked of it. In response to one of the pictures posted by Webtrance that states a 70-200 2.8 lens would fit, I believe they are mistaken. The bag is 5 3/4" deep and even the shortest 70-200 by Sigma is 7.2" long. It would probably fit if you gave it the entire side and laid it on it's side but that is the only way.

Anyway, I still love this bag and I still recommend it to anyone considering it.

After reading other reviews and falling in love with the picture, I purchased the pack and took it to Maui, Hawaii. This was the best purchase for the trip! The pack is the perfect size to carry all my gear (Canon T1i with 28-135mm lens on it, 50mm lens, 18-55mm lens, and a 70-300mm lens. I can even fit in a small video recorder, and point and shoot camera! (with strategic adjustment of the compartment dividers). I'm a small female (5'4") so I don't know how larger people would enjoy it, but for me it was perfect.

Besides camera gear, the small-medium sized compartment allowed me to carry what I needed for the day from an extra layer, to 4 small books, chargers, wallet, phone,...its a nice size. The mesh pockets on the sides and front are small, but worked great for me (sun screen, face wipes, maps).

I have used this pack on short hikes, driving trips, overnight bag, and as a carry on for flights. It is so easy to get into and grab what you need fast. I love this bag. I know my gear is safe and secure. Just make a habit of closing the zipper on the camera compartment. I put on the pack once with it open. I had organized the compartment such that everything fit snugly and would have difficulty just falling out, but checking never hurts.

I recommend getting this bag for long trips, and the tamrac rally 4 small formal functions. These two packs take care of every event I have done so far from hiking around a volcano in Maui Hawaii to attending a military function in Service Dress blues with the Rally 4 over my shoulder.

The secure straps (regardless of it being completely open) the straps held all the parts in place across a trek through a parking lot until a good soul pointed out that my camera bag was completely open.

I wrote the review below, thinking I had this model: the 3370. I actually have the TAMRAC 3380. My advice, if you want room enough for a laptop, get the 3380. I got mine for $69.99 online, which is strange because Amazon usually has the best or equal to the best prices. Anyway, the following is for the 3380:

If you are on a budget and want a good camera backpack, think about getting this one. Although it's not waterproof, I am at a loss to know what a $269 backpack would have over this one. You can buy aerosol spray waterproofing media in shoe supply stores that would probably do the trick (spray without equipment in backpack ; ) Maybe for difficult treks, the pricey ones have advantages, but I've carried mine through Costa Rica and Panama without any trouble. The shoulder straps are thick and comfortable and it lies smoothly on the back as you walk. The middle compartment carries my laptop. Here's what I carry:

1 Nikon D200

1 Nikon D40

with two zoom lenses; one 50mm prime lens

1 laptop

1 AC laptop adaptor

Loads of extra batteries, filters, doo-dads, and dad-doos.

I just got back from three weeks in Europe. I bought this specifically for the trip. I wanted something that held enough gear to be functional, also had room for normal travel odds and ends, and didn't make me a target for thieves.

This did all those things very well. It fits a DSLR (with or without a battery grip) and 3 lenses (or 2 if you are bringing a telephoto along.) I was very impressed by the design. It isn't a large backpack, but fits a lot of stuff, plus is padded enough to make me feel comfortable that bumps wouldn't break my filters, etc. It don't fit snug on my back because of the shape, and it did get heavy, but the straps are padded, and the back is, too. I carried it around day after day, all day long, and though it made me sweat, I wasn't uncomfortable due to the backpack. Often packs leave hot spots, or shift my balance too much, but this one is well balanced in all those regards.

I have a lot of gear, but wanted to go light for this trip. This pack gave me enough room to have what I needed in a small package, but also forced me to cut out all the extras. I went without a batter grip in exchange for a macro lens, and had room for some filters and a 50mm prime. Since it is a backpack, it is meant for carrying on your back while you are shooting. I used a sling-style camera strap (over one shoulder and under the arm,) while I had the backpack on, and neither interfered with the other; a great discovery.

Shoulder bags do not work for all day walk-arounds, or with many camera straps, and the big backpacks are more for location shooting. I am actually surprised by the lack of options for this size/purposed of pack, but am also super happy that this one is an option. It bridged the gap perfectly.

It doen'st look like a camera bag (security alway thought they were searching the whole thing by just opening the top.) It also is fairly accesible. I could usually swap lenses by swinging it around onto my chest while sitting/squatting, and opening the front load camera compartment. I was always a little nervous opening it up while having it on, but due to the shape and design, even when its open all the contents stay in place. The compartment is titled toward the back slightly, so the small items slide in rather than out, witch is a nice feature. The colors are, OK, neither standing out or looking like the all black "steal me" packs. The gray color inside isn't great for low light digging around, but it also serves the same purpose as the outside colors; not drawing attention the the thousands of dollars of gear inside.

The top compartment holds a ton of stuff, and the side elastic pouches hold water bottles well. I can't say this enough: it holds a lot, and even when totally loaded down (30+ pounds maybe) it didn't dig in. Plus, stayed balanced.

Awesome product for a specific task: walk around all day travel shooting. There are a million bag designs, and everyone wants something different (all too often, the one that does everything; like an SUV, and always bound to disappoint), but I have to say this one is the best, for the job it was designed for, of the many that I have, and the many, many that I have used and owned.

Review of Think Tank Urban Disguise 35 Shoulder Bag V2.0

Think Tank in general produce some great professional looking bags. This one is no exception. Built exceptionally well and I even purchased the backpack straps along with it. It's great for a minimal shooter outing. I purposely chose this one for event shooting because I can use the backpack straps to go to the event, then switch to the shoulder strap at the gig for easy access to my gear. This is definitely not a bag to bring everything you may need, but more to keep it to a minimal in a somewhat a small form factor.

I would say that the most I am able stuff comfortably and still be able to access everything in the bag fairly well without struggle .. Pro body (with grip), 70-200 with lens hood, 24-70 without lens hood (with would be a tighter squeeze but do-able), Flash in soft case, 13" laptop, and some accessories in the front flap and front pockets. Note again that this would be a way to still be able to access your gear "comfortably". Uncomfortably however, I was able to have the 24-70 with it's lens hood on and a 16-35 without the lens hood. Then I stuck my flash in the front pocket underneath the front flap. This additional large sized pocket has no velcro or buckles to close it but the front flap buckled would suffice for it's closure. This large front pocket poses quite useful and I can actually fit 2 600EX-RTs with their soft cases in there. If you have an iPad, I wouldn't recommend putting it where they claim it can go in the main compartment towards the front of the bag. I rather feel safer keeping it in the laptop compartment. Since I have a Macbook Air 13", I put both the laptop and iPad in that same compartment.

Overall, a great event, walk-around, street shooting bag for the minimalist.

If your like me you want to carry as much camera gear as possible comfortably. Most bags are simply awful to use. They either do not carry enough or are uncomfortable for any length of time. This bag along with the Think Tank Retrospective 10 are my favorites. If I were to only own one bag though this would be it.

I generally use this bag with my Canon 5dMKII, 3 lenses, a large flash, batteries, filters, an ipad, and miscellaneous accessories. Typically I will use this with my 5dMKII with a 70-200mm 2.8L IS II attached, a 24-105mm 4L, and either a 35mm 1.4L or 24mm 3.5L TS-E. If you dont have any lenses as long as the 70-200mm or do no plan on carrying these longer lenses around I would recommend the Think Tank Retrospective 10 over this bag. I generally switch between the two depending on which lens kit I want to carry. Even when full the bag is quite comfortable to wear for extended periods of time. A nice bonus is that the bag is relatively unassuming and doesn't scream camera bag (although the retrospective is superior in this manner).

Got this bag as a replacement for my Lowepro Pro Messenger 180 bag which was just killing my shoulder every time I use it. I did a review of the 180 & I mentioned about the fine qualities of the bag and I also mentioned about the problem of the strap being to rigid & just tend to dig not only on your shoulder but upper chest & shoulder blade as well when the bag is even just slightly loaded. I needed a shoulder bag to use for my 70-200 attached so I was tempted to get the Think Tank Retro 20 but having used the Retro 7 and 10 before, I had some issues with the big flaps that sometimes gets in the way when trying to get your gear or changing lenses. And also, I felt that it didn't provide enough security because they only have the velcros and nothing more to cover/secure your gear. Then I decided to try the Urban Disguise and maybe just return it if it doesn't work out. Well, just as the title of my review says, should have tried this one first! This bag provides the maximum security that you can get with zippers having built in "O" rings that you can lock using flexible Master locks (also for the tablet/notebook compartment). There are no big long flaps that can get in the way accessing your gear & changing lenses is a breeze. Holds my body & fast zoom pretty evenly on the center, lots of pockets (including for tablets or small laptops), resist moisture, droplets & dirt unlike canvass and it doesn't stick out like the Retro series when you wear it on your side. The shoulder strap is a relief with metal detachable hooks & it can be worn as a back pack with the optional TT shoulder harness. This bag closely resembles the Lowepro Classified series bags but I have read that there where complaints of difficulty in pulling cameras out because of the strange design of the top of the bag even though they have zippers as well and not flaps. For me there are only two major things that may or may not be an issue: first the most obvious is the color, I wish the guys at Think Tank Photo will make a version 3.0 with different colors aside from black. It just looks to "executive or business like", and it might attract attention and even though you're using locks on the zippers, they can just grab the whole bag and see what's inside later. Second and this depends on the user/equipment, because of it's narrow design compared to the Retro series, if you have a FX body or vertical grip, it will be less easier in getting your camera out. I have a D300s & it fits pretty good but with the grip attached, I noticed that the top looks thicker than the bottom & pulling them out takes a few "twisting" to clear out from the zippers. Other than these two, I will say this is a fine bag & will be using this for years to come.

This is perfect for me carrying a Canon 5D, Mark III with an attached standard zoom. And it doesn't hurt that the Think Tank logo has a certain cachet.

With the standard 18-55mm (non-VR) kit lens + filter my Nikon D40 fits snugly inside. The construction is what you'd expect from LowePro, bulletproof and well-padded. With minor effort, the charger fits in the outer pocket. This case works well either over-the-shoulder or on a belt or backpack loop.

Note: If the lens was more than 1/2" longer this case probably wouldn't work.

This bag is the perfect "small" bag for carrying just the essentials around. I would highly recommend it for someone that does not have a lot of accessories and wants to travel light.

I have a Canon Xs with the kit lens. I like the bag very much. It fits perfectly and it's easy to carry around. It probably won't work with longer lenses, but I am a complete beginner, so I plan to work with the kit lens for a while. I like the size that it's not too bulky, and you can still bring all the batteries, memory card and even a brush pen in the bag. I like the color because as a girl, I don't want anything associated with my camera black. It has nice padding all around, so I suppose it helps protect the camera. However, I dropped my camera on the ground, lens facing down, and the lens broke immediately. (the body is functional thhough) So I guess the bottom line is, it's a good bag but it does not shield the camera from carelessness.

I couldn't have found a better bag for my needs. I store and carry my Panasonic DMC-FZ50 camera, as well as a small point and shoot camera. There are several adjustable dividers, making this bag very versatile for travel. I'm able to carry extra batteries and battery chargers in one side pocket, while a small tripod fits well in the other side pocket.

There are plenty of small and large pockets to organize your stuff. You can't go wrong with this bag if you need to carry your camera and a lot of accessories. If you're just looking to protect your camera, though, it might be a little big for your needs.
