SwissGear GA-7861-02F00 Mythos Small Camera Case Reviews
This is a great camera case! It's perfect for small cameras. I have a Canon SD 770 IS and it fits perfectly. The belt loop on the case is a real plus. The dimensions listed for the product are correct, so measure your camera and see if it fits. This case is a good buy.

Cheap Built E-HCS-D07 Built Small Hoodie Camera Case - Brown
Customer Ratings:
List Price: $14.99
Sale Price: $7.99

I purchased this because I love this Built Ny pattern. I already own the lunch tote and know how durable and easy to clean their products are. With that being said, this is a snug fitting case, the front part of the case is just the thick fabric, and the back is the hard shell. I think that if I dropped my camera it would be protected, but there's only one way to know for sure and I'm not trying that on purpose.
This case is perfect for me because I can keep it in my purse without adding a lot of bulkiness. I have the Canon Powershot SD1200IS camera currently and use to have the SD630 with it and they both fit well. I hope this review helps you make your decision.

This is an excellent camera case. I have a very thin Sony camera and wanted a protective case to carry it in my purse--but I didn't want it to take up a lot of room. This case is very thin, fits my camera perfectly, and doesn't take up a lot of space in my purse. It is stiff on one side to protect the touch screen, and flexible on the other, making it easy to open and slide the camera out.Best Deals for Built E-HCS-D07 Built Small Hoodie Camera Case - Brown

The reason I was searching for a good camera case is because the magnet on my old one caused the battery to die. I wanted something cute, fashionable, easy, and fun. This is all of that and more! I don't have to worry one bit about dropping my camera while it is in this case. The hard plastic back gives me that security. I do, however, have to agree with another user of this case... It is very difficult to get your camera in and out quickly because it is as snug as a bug in a rug in that camera case. Another concern that I have about the case is that the strap looks a bit flimsy. It may not last for very long, but it is still very useful. I'm really happy that I went with this case because it looks exactly like the picture and it is safe for my camera and its just so cute!Monday, January 5, 2015
icon Silk Fashion Camera Carrying Case (Brown Silk) Review
Very nice looking (however, with time the silk material snags and starts to look worn I have had mine for 4+ years and it is just starting to show signs of wear and tear). The magnet in the clasp is fairly strong and keeps the case closed, so your camera or accessories aren't falling all over the place. Overall a good deal for the price.

This was so easy to apply and it made my Flip camcorder look very unique and the disign was extremely well done. It looks like it came from the factory that way. My daughter has a Flip camcorder also so this makes out phones easy to tell which one is hers and mine.

Buy E-Case eSeries 15 Case for 7-Inch Tablets
While I would not consider this an underwater case, it should function perfectly as moderate dampness/water protection for the S4, if in a backpack or bag that is in a rainstorm. The S4 slides at an angle and is then held securely. You can use the screen without problems.
My phone hasn't taken a dip while in the case, so I haven't had to test it thoroughly yet.

I've used this a few times. I have a HTC EVO 4G LTE and it fits in the case well. However when I have my phone case on the phone (a Trident AG) it is a little difficult to get the phone into the E-case. I did a lot of research leading up getting the E-case and wound up thinking this is a good value. I do appreciate the clip holes in the case and plan to hook up a "lifeline" for next years watersports season. Because if you drop the phone I doubt it will float, there isn't enough air in the case to float (although it's not advertised to do that, and the extra air wouldn't let the touchscreen operate). I'm able to make calls through the case and use the gps functions. My phone hasn't taken a dip while in the case, so I haven't had to test it thoroughly yet.

I was looking for a water resistant pouch for my smart phone and it works as advertised. My only reason for the 4 stars was the advertised size is not the actual inside dimensions so I had to give it to my wife and buy a larger one for my Razr maxx.Thursday, December 18, 2014
Buy EMPIRE Nikon Coolpix S9100 Horizontal Leather Case Pouch (Black)
Customer Ratings:
List Price: $4.32
Sale Price: $1.89
Today's Bonus: 56% Off

Also fits the Coolpix S8000 series (S8100, S8200, etc.) and probably also all Coolpix S7000 and S9000
The Empire case is very similar to the "official" S-camera series Nikon cases. Nikon Coolpix S8100 Black Leather Case. My S8100 and S8200 cameras fit into it well.
SIMILARITIES
> Outer surface leather (or a leather-like material)
> Magnetic closure. Essentially a "quick draw holster"---very easy to get your camera out, or put it back.
> Belt loops. Rides very well on a belt, but there is no other way to carry it. I suggest an inexpensive black military-type belt, which can be worn even without belt loops to hold the camera. Army Camouflage or Solid Color Military Web Belts.
DIFFERENCES
> MUCH less expensive than the Nikon case. Not quite the same quality, but close.
> Sides are short lengths of black elastic strap. Therefore offers less protection from rain, dust, etc. than the Nikon case (which has soft leather sides).
> Hole in the bottom facilitates your "quick draw". (e.g., push up with a finger of your left hand while lifting the camera out with your right hand. However, that also means that you can't have anything loose in the bottom of the case (such as a business card or a spare memory card).
> No memory card pocket (however the pocket in the Nikon Case is poorly located, using it could scratch the view screen).
> Belt clip in addition to belt loops. So, you can use it on pants (or a skirt) without a belt. However, the clip is much less secure than the loops, and makes the case over 1/4" bulkier.
> Case is a single peice of material (leather or leather-like), as a result the bottom side is rounded. The Nikon case is sewn together from multiple pieces of leather, and has seams on the bottom edges. The result is that the Nikon case stands securely on a desk (etc.) while the Empire case may fall over.
EVALUATION
In general, does the job just as well as the Nikon case. I prefer the Nikon case, but it's a close call.I wanted the ability to carry camera in a safe and efficient manner. This case does the trick. I simply clip it onto my belt and it frees hands and pockets. It is well made. I have gotten it wet in the rain. It protected the camera and I saw no ill affects due to being in the weather. It fit my camera well and I have no complaints about its functionality, look, or construction. I was in some extremely hot weather and it was nice to be able to get to the camera without having to carry a bag. Also, I can not over emphasize the convenience of being able to clip my camera on and the sercuity of knowing where I put my camera.

This is an excellent bag for those looking for one bag to carry both a digital camera and a digital camcorder... not too bulky and lots of pockets for accessories. My Sony Mini-DVD camcorder and my Sony DSC-H5 camera(with hood attached) are both protected in this bag with room to spare. Pockets can hold several Mini-DVDs, extra battery, travel battery charger and USB cable, with room still for cleaning cloths and filters. The slide pocket is a fantastic idea and can hold 8 AA batteries and memory cards. I did a lot of research and measuring before coming across this bag. I am very happy with it and it fits my needs to a T. If you're looking for a even bigger bag to carry AC adapters you can check out the Tamrac System 3. If you're looking for less bulk without sacrificing storage space, this could be the bag for you.

Overall this is a very good bag. It is roomy and has lots of little compartments. It holds my camera (Canon Rebel t4i) with a lens on it, plus 2 additional lenses, memory cards, batteries, chargers and more. There are 2 downsides in my opinion. The blue in the photo looks much brighter than it is in actuality. While it is a minor detail, I was expecting more of a bright blue, so that was a little disappointing. Also, probably the biggest flaw, is that the front clasp is extremely difficult to open. I find myself not using it regularly. Luckily it has a zipper, and Velcro so it still can be fastened securely, but an easier clasp would have been a lot more convenient and added additional security.Best Deals for Tamrac 5602 System 2 Camera Bag (Blue)

Discount Sony MPKPHB Marine Pack for DSCP100 & DSCP150 Digital Cameras
A whole new world has opened up to my DSCP100! While I haven't yet taken it to any depth, the marine pack has performed beautifully at waterparks, river rafting, and snorkeling. It's simple and easy to use. Caring for the pack and the o-ring is very important, but also very easy to do and takes no time at all. As far as I can tell, I am able to utilize every function of my camera (except the viewfinder). Of course I also cannot change the battery or the memory stick without opening the marine pack. I spent about $500 for the camera, marine pack and accessories here at amazon and consider it money very well spent.
The marine pack performed marvelously, even at the depth of 34m (112ft) and I am sure at its max depth of 40m (130ft).
The underwater pictures taken with my Sony CyberShot were amazing. The quality of the photos, which even amazed the dive master of the center, demonstrated that the Marine Pack performed perfectly. Its clear housing allowed the use of the integrated flash of the camera, which was definitely beneficial. Its buoyancy was great, and its relatively small size, allowed me to carry it in my hand and maintain my personal buoyancy throughout my dives.
All my expectations came true. Making sure to follow the guidelines when not in use, I expect to use this pack for a long time on future diving adventures.
I strongly recommend this Marine Pack for those who expect to enjoy taking photos during a beach and dive adventures.

Check this site out and make your own decisions.Back to the review. The case is quite fun. Opens up a whole new world in ways to use a camera.
I have used this camera in both fresh and saltwater at depths up to 95 feet. I have had absolutely no leakage. All camera controls are accessable through the housing. The only thing I could wish for would be bluetooth connectivity, so that I didn't have to take the camera out to download pictures.
Unless you are using the camera at very shallow depths (where you still have some natural light), I recommend getting an external strobe (flash). This will improve your pictures by reducing the backscatter caused by using the on-camera flash. The camera's flash is so close to the lens that you will catch the light bouncing back off of tiny particles in the water, which show up like white dust. Personally, I use a Sea & Sea YS90 Auto, which can be triggered as a slave (by "seeing" the on-camera flash fire) or by using a fiber optic kit that blocks the on-camera flash and sends the signal directly to the YS90. This kit is made by Sea & Sea. The YS90 is not cheap, but you can have a lot of fun without it. I saved up and found it on sale for half-price!
With time, the plastic becomes foggy, what renders it pretty useless.
Bottom line awesome, but has a five-year lifespan only.

Olympus PFL-01 Underwater Protective Case for FL-20 Flash Review

I love my SP-350 as well as the FL-20 flash however on two subsequent dive trips the fitting on the PFL-01 housing has broken where the cable attaches. Both times I noticed it before leaving the surface and was able to save the FL-20. The first time Olympus covered it although not without some amount of hassle. I have not even bothered to contact them the second time. The problem is that the fitting and cable attach to the outside (left side) of the housing where it can come in contact with any number of things to include the boat as the crew hands the camera to the diver in the water. If they had mounted it on the right it would be somewhat protected. The second time it failed I was being extremely careful because of my first experience. Not sure what it touched but it was certainly not hard contact with anything. Other than that, the housing and flash work great.Good product, works well and more and more cameras are having them made for their specific models.

I was reluctant to buy this at first because I wasn't sure it would really fit my 2013 Nexus 7 (2nd Generation). But for the price I couldn't resist. Delivery was right on time, and once I opened it up I put my nexus inside and zipped the top closed, I was truly satisfied. The Nexus 7 fits nicely in this sleeve, the top closes up with ease, but it does have room in the front of the screen as well as in the back of the device to wiggle around. But overall I never had a problem with this. It works for what I use it for, which is to throw in my backpack and take it to work.

I purchased this for my Nexus 7 (4 1/2" x 7 7/8" x 1/4"). Overall, the fit seems a bit loose on the sides (should fit tablets up to 4 7/8" wide) and thickness but just right on the length. Quality is good as you would expect for a Case Logic product. Just about the right amount of padding for a basic sleeve. Nothing fancy on the inside just smooth nylon fabric. If you are looking for a good basic sleeve then this is it.Best Deals for Case Logic Form-Fitting Sleeve for 7-Inch Tablets - Dark Blue

Best Lowepro Vertex 300 AW Backpack Deals
Customer Ratings:
List Price: $399.99
Sale Price: $238.81
Today's Bonus: 40% Off

I just returned form two weeks in Alaska and found the Lowepro Vertex 300 was what I expected from Lowepro. I found that it easily stored in the overhead bin and was easy to carry in the field. I carried a Nikon D100 and F100 both with the extended battery packs, a 170-500mm Sigma Telephoto, two additional lenses, an Epson P-3000, DX-80 Flash, various Cokin filters, extra batteries, chargers, flashlight, 20 rolls of film, manuals, tools, canned air and a Gitzo 2530 with no problem. So, as you can see I had just about everything but the kitchen sink! The ability to carry this by it's top strap made it easy to get around. The build quality is very good also. I will purchase Lowepro again!
One comment though that I hope makes it to the LowePro people is to begin to pay more attention to the needs of the mobile video community. More on this later.
I was carrying a Panasonic HVX200, high definition, a hand-held form factor video camera, three Focus Enhancements DTE FS-100 portable digital video recorders, a .6x wide angle adapter and a large, heavy 2x telephoto adapter both by Century Precision Optics and a set of rods for mounting the telephoto adapter. Of course there was the full complement of batteries, lens cleaning acessories and a small Pentax 7.1 megapixel point and shoot camera.
The tripod I carried was quite a bit heavier and bulkier than a typical still camera tripod. For HD video a heavy fluid head and stout sticks are necessary, even with image stabilization on, to get clean video. Using a telephoto adapter this is especially important.
My total weight load was between 35 and 40 pounds and I must say that the Vertex 300 AW was comfortable beyond belief! I have been backpacking since before the invention of the internal frame pack (almost 40 years) and this pack under load was as comfortable as any I have ever carried. In addition when adjusted and cinched properly the Vetex 300 AW was as stable as any pack I have worn. Even climbing 700 feet in ohe-half mile on a narrow trail the pack was comfortable and stable and truely a joy to carry.
I could easily have carried more weight, if this pack could stand up to more. I have not been able to find any maximum-load recommendations on the LowePro website so I do not know if I exceeded the recommendations of LowePro and/or the design specs, but I could have easily shouldered more weight using this well designed pack.
LowePro should give a bit more thought to design for video camera carriers. The Vertex 300 AW is rated to carry a "professional" video camera. The shoulder mount form factor of most pro cameras (like the ones you see TV news videographers carying) make the cameras larger than the Panasonic HVX200 that I was carrying and I cannot imagine there is enough room in the Vertex 300 AW for a pro camera, unless the lens is detached. That is something the vast majority of videographers are NOT willing to do on a regular basis as a crew travels, sets up, shoots, breaks down and travels again. So I cannot recommend to pros that this pack would be roomy enough. However if the camera you are using is the hand-held form factor this pack is great!
One other concern must be addressed for video camera use with the Vertex 300 AW. Video tripods are generally heavier and bulkier than a still camera tripod. The HD head on mine (a Manfrotto 503HDV with Manfrotto 35-1MVB2 sticks)makes up about half the weight I was carrying. Because the head is so heavy, for stability it has to be carried head down (tripod feet up). The Vertex 300 AW comes with an adjustable and removable attachment that holds two feet of the tripod at the pack's bottom. This is great for my still camera tripod, but two feet of my video tripod do not fit into the attachment. In addition because of the weight of the head I had to carry the tripod head down. Using a couple bungee cords and the straps that are part of the pack I was easily able to attach the tripod and carry it comfortably. I hope LowePro comes up with a simplier solution.
As far as air travel, even stuffed to the gills the Vertex 300 AW fit into overhead bins with ease.
This is a great, comfortable, stable pack if you need to carry a great deal of equipment and long distance and keep it safe this is the pack for you.
the laptop fits just fine, and if you're needing to shove something else in with the machine (a book for instance) it can accomodate that, though i get nervous of the screen taking more impact than it normally would.
the exterior compartments do well to hold misc items (headphones, point and shoot camera, etc), and the interior storage is more than adequate. I actually didn't take a whole lot of photography equipment, but it was intentional to give me a pack that could handle photo gear along with all of the other miscellaneous items that i had along (books, point-and-shoot cameras, batteries, chargers, etc, etc.
it has a shoulder strap covering panel so you can zip it up if you don't want to have the shoulder carrying straps get caught on things, and it has a waterproof, cinch-down covering in case you go hiking in the rain. speaking of rain, the zippers are the rubberized, waterproof looking variety (I haven't tested it yet in wetness).
the shoulder straps fit well and the waist band is broad to help offload the weight from your back.
it's spendy, for sure, but i think it'll last quite a while and suit my needs well. I don't think I have anything bad to say about the bag. it's only the price that made me swallow hard.
on the plane and the Lowepro Vertex 300 AW Backpack does the job nicely. One is able to move the velcro
dividers and adjust the interior of the bag to meet ones storage needs. Also, there are added compartments for miscellaneous items adding to it's versatility.
This bag is definitely for someone who needs to travel with a lot of equipment for an assignment or for an extended photo trip. If you need a bag for walking around with two or three lenses and a DSLR /SLR then honestly this might just be too much bag.
I am able to pack away quite comfortably the following:
Nikon D300s body w/battery grip
Nikon D3s body
50mm lens
85mm lens
180mm lens
28mm-75mm lens
80mm 400mm lens
8mm fisheye lens
12mm 24mm lens
2x teleconverter
15" MacBook Pro
SB800 speedlight
Light Meter
Nikon SC-28 cord
Battery Charger
70" tripod
an international electrical plug adapter kit
various filters, flash memory cards, dust cloths, etc....
I have used Lowepro products before and have always been happy with their quality. I have been caught out in the rain and snow before and their bags have always protected my equipment. As far as airport carry on back pack camera bags that carry a great deal of equipment it does not get much better.
I have had Lowepro backpacks for many years and always loved how they fit me and how practical their compartments & configuration were. I bought my Tamrac camera backpack 4 years ago and it is also a nice backpack but I outgrew it and on a recent trip to Europe, it developed a split on one side. A couple other photographers in Europe were using various Lowepro Vertex packs and I soon bought the Vertex 300 AW to upgrade and replace my Tamrac.
I dont know why I didn't get a Lowepro to begin with as I knew their reputation and my own experiences with their packs. It is simply a great backpack and fits 2 DSLRs, 100-400mm, 70-200mm, 100mm macro, 24-70mm, 17-40mm, 10-22mm, 580EX & 430EX flash, Macro ring light and all my CF cards, batteries, card readers, & my 15.4 inch laptop (although it will fit a 17").
The straps are easy to control and snugs up tight & comfortable making this heavy load easy to carry.
It is harder to pick this loaded backpack off the floor than it is to carry it on your back.
It also comes with 2 pull out covers: 1. for covering the belt/shoulder straps for storing in overhead bins, etc.. & 2. a rain cover that covers the entire backpack to keep everything inside protected from rain/weather. I love this feature as I live in the Pacific Northwest and it rains a lot here.
On top of all this is a tripod carrier that is also easy to position and use.
I highly recommend this pack but will warn that when it is full, it is very heavy. Lowepro Vertex 300 AW Backpack

After a week in Yellowstone National Park doing day hikes (70 miles of trails in 7 days)and carrying the Lowepro Vetex 300 AW loaded with video equipment I am happy to say it passes with flying colors.

I've taken this bag with me on a few trips. It barely fits under the seat in front of you on a plane. The bag can get heavy at times like many other bags, and if you wear loose shirts, you may not notice the ventilation built into the pack. The rain protector is a great feature, I've already used it a few times. The access to the camera is nice, but the areas that have velcro seem a bit poorly thought out. I think there should have been a flap over the side pocket to ensure better security of the camera, as well as protect the inside of the bag from the elements; it's not the best sealed area (yah the place where the camera goes). The ergonomics on your back are definitely comfortable initially, and the padding is thick, but the size is a bit protruding and cumbersome in urban settings. All the stitching seems very well done compared to many other name brand bags I've encountered. The exterior bottom has a nice waterproof flat surface making it easy to stand upright as well as sit on wet surfaces without too much concern. There could have been a water bottle attachment. The number of walls to separate your equipment is pretty standard. The zipper seams are very good, you're definitely going to be able to keep dust out on a windy day. And if all else fails you've got that built-in rain cover. It would have been nice if they added a secondary pocket in the other pad opposite of the side the rain cover is located for small personal items or even a slot for memory cards. There's a section for a laptop or other items of equal size and dimension. It's a useful place for your boarding pass or other documents.
Overall, I thought the layout of the bag was extremely poor and awkward. Aside from the side-access for your SLR there really is no quick or easy access to anything else with this bag. I kept it for a few hours and just couldn't get my gear situated where I could get reasonable access to it. I've decided to return it and get a Tamrac insteady.

THE RAIN COVER, Its in the most stupid place, Its in a zippered section on the shoulder area of the bag. So when the bag is on your back it feels like there is a hump on the bag and it doesn't sit properly on you back. This is a no no and it made me sell the bag straight away. I would have loved it if this was not the case.. The Skyborne series doesn't have this rain cover in this pocket, Its around the front where it should be. come on Vanguard sort it out. I already have 2 of your up-rise shoulder bags which are the best shoulder bag I have ever used. I will buy an Adapter 46 from you if you put a rain cover in it.. Some people live in countries that have alot of varied weather (Ireland). No rain cover is no good to me.

I've been looking at several different camera bags and decided upon the Vanguard Up-Rise 46 over the competition because of the integrated tripod holder. I own a Vanguard Alta Pro 264AT and assumed that the Vanguard camera bag with tripod holder would hold my Vanguard tripod. I was wrong. The tripod holder is no more than a pocket that unzips from the side to hold the tips of your tripod's legs. Then you're left to lash the tripod to the side using the same straps that you have to unhook in order to access the main compartment. That's the point when your tripod drops off your bag when you attempt to change a lens.Overall, I thought the layout of the bag was extremely poor and awkward. When I received this bag I was very impressed with the quality construction and the material used seemed as so it would last for quite some time. This bag is very comfortable from the Vanguard air flow system to the thick padded straps. It has plenty of compartments for any hike you may plan, enough to fit 3 lenses including a 70-200mm 2.8 with two bodies and a speed light if your good at tetris. Overall I love this bag for what I currently own in my list of gear.Check out my Flickr photostream to see where this bag has gone.
