Considering the low price, this case is a great deal. Decently quality, does the job. HOWEVER, my Pentax MX-1 would not fit in it, so I had to return it.

Good quality material, well designed, pleasant configuration. Like the color, too. The entire line of USA Gear seems to be in the category of good, solid products.

More cushion would help. Cover flap would be better if it just covered the small pocket. Spare battery/batteries fell out when getting my camera out.

Honest reviews on USA Gear Compact Digital Camera Case for Pentax Q , Q7 , WG-3

I bought this case for my Ricoh GR and it fits perfectly. It has a slightly more worn look and feel, compared to the typical nylon and neoprene cases. It is also well padded though that is not as necessary with this camera as with ones that are less durable.

The one thing I wasn't crazy about was the Velcro on the flap. There was a lot of it and opening the flap made one heck of a racket. What I did was to remove the Velcro from both sides by cutting the stitching with a sharp knife. That didn't affect the appearance of the case one bit. Then stuck a pair of 1/4" x 1/16" Rare Earth Magnets to each flap with duct tape. That gets the flap to stay down and hold firmly enough to keep my camera from falling out without making any noise when opened.

Nice, small pouch. It was perfect for my outdoor excursions. The pouch in the front can hold a couple of extra batteries and some cash.

AmazonBasics Leather Camera Case for Digital Cameras -Black Review

AmazonBasics Leather Camera Case for Digital Cameras -Black

Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program When I pulled this little camera case out of its box, I immediately thought it was going to be too small for my Fujifilm FinePix Z700EXR camera, but it fit perfectly! This is a sturdy, classy, soft-leather case with soft grey suede inside. The little inside pocket for carrying an extra battery is tight and out of the way; I'll probably use it to put identification inside in case I ever leave the camera lying on a table somewhere. With my camera's side strap sticking out of one side (which I prefer to running it through the top hole because access is quicker), it's like a little mini-purse. The cutout in the top happens to be right over the USB cable port on my camera, so if I had to (but I probably won't), I could run the USB cable to it without removing the camera from its case. Another thing I could do if I wanted to is use that little hole to loop an ID tag or small ID/credit card holder through using one of those beaded lamp-pull type thingies. Then I really could travel light.

Little things mean a lot to me, and I have to say I just love the magnetic clasp underneath the low-key silverish AmazonBasics logo on the front of the case. The magnet is not so strong as to be annoyingly hard to pull apart, but it's strong enough to do the job without slipping. The little circular magnetic piece in the clasp has a small center button that fits into a recession in the other part of the clasp; when closing the cover, you hear a satisfying little click when you slide it into place, so you know it's snugly closed.

I was thinking when I got this (not paying great attention) that the holder "clip" on the back was actually a clip suitable for clipping to the edge of your pants or a coat pocket, but it's not. It's actually better than that, because we all know how quickly those clips break off our cell phones. This one closes with strong velcro so you can loop it through a belt loop or other strap or onto a belt. The part of the holder that does not have velcro on it is not quite an inch wide, though, so it wouldn't work as well with wider belts. With the camera in it, it would be too heavy (at least for me) to want to wear around your neck, but you could definitely put it on a lanyard if you wanted to—and then perhaps stick it in a breast pocket so it's not dangling. One nice thing about the velcro is that, even though it is sewn on very well, part of the piece that is sewn to the camera case actually lifts up as you pull the velcro apart. This should extend the life of the case because you're not pulling against case stitching when you're trying to get it apart. This is not wimpy velcro, so you have to tug a bit to get it open.

I really like it!

Was able to tightly squeeze the Canon Powershot Sx230 into this seemingly well built case, though the top would not close. Obviously too tight for this camera. The strap hole seemed to be a good idea, but trying to get the strap in and out of the hole is a waste of time. Will be looking for a larger case with more functionality, perhaps horizontal on a clip.

Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program Having seen many reviews for this product go up not long after the initial offering was made through Amazon's Vine program, I figured I'd hold off until I'd used the case for an extended period of time, just for the sake of testing its longevity. Now, after 8 months of fairly consistent travel and use, I'm very please with how well it has held up after being thrust in and out of pockets and backpacks, and set down on all manner of surfaces in all manner of weather. The case design is functional, not fancy, and the fit on my Panasonic Lumix FH20 is very snug, which is exactly what I was hoping for. Obviously, different camera brands will yield different results. The magnetic clasp is also snug, in large part due (once again) to my camera's tight fit, but once it's in place, it stays there, and has NEVER popped open unexpectedly. The soft material on the inside of the case is a huge improvement over lower-end cases made entirely of thin faux-leather inside and out.

The only drawback to this case -and it would depend entirely on how you like to port your camera around -is the velcro belt strap, which would offer little resistance to a thief if you were wearing the case on your belt. Then again, even a metal clamp would only offer moderately stronger protection against a good hard yank. Mind you, a thief is either gonna yank your camera no matter what's holding it to your belt, or ignore it completely because it draws instant attention of the wearer. If you're like me, and you carry your camera in a pocket, even when it's in the case, this will be of little concern.

Apart from that, this is a well-designed and practical case. Just remember to measure your camera against the dimensions provided on the product page. As mentioned, I've been using it for 8 months and have really enjoyed the extra attention it affords my Lumix, which was purchased only days before Amazon made this case available last June.

I also appreciated the AmazonBasics packaging, which went immediately into the recycle bin. Hope to see more of this in the future, particularly on items that often come entombed in acres of heat-sealed plastic!

Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program AmazonBasics has introduced another winning product with its Leather Camera Case for Digital Cameras.

I ordered this from amazon.com and as usual it arrived quickly. The case fit my Nikon Coolpix camera like a glove! The case snaps shut to keep the camera secure. The velcro strap fits around a belt, which is ideal for me. For those who don't wear a belt, there is a cut out at the top where you can access the ring that holds the camera strap.

It might seem like a simple thing, but now that I can securely carry my camera I can take advantage of more photo opportunities anytime, anyplace. For that reason, this accessory is a must-have for anyone who likes to take pictures.

I highly recommend this product to all pocket digital camera enthusiasts!

Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program My first recommendation before going any further into considering this camera case would definitely be to review the dimensions Amazon provides in the product description in this page. A common concern among reviewers about this case seems to be the size. I think Amazon does a great job by providing examples of cameras and brands that will fit in it as well as its dimensions so this should not be a point of concern in regards to the product. Per Amazon "Internal dimensions: 2.2 x 3.50 x 0.77 inches (56mm x 19.4mm x 89mm)"

This simple yet elegant leather case while basic, performs just as described. It has an open area on top so you can take out the camera's wrist strap that allows you to carry it secure in its case. If you rather not carry it like that, there is a Velcro belt loop that can be used to fit it around your belt if that suits you better.

The snap-front-flap is designed in a similar fashion to cellular cases that use a small magnet to keep it close and tight; the magnet is not too large so it is actually pretty convenient and does not seem to damage the camera inside (as I have seen in my experience with similar cases for my cell phones)

Keep in mind though that this is designed for small devices like pocket digital cameras, I own a Sony DSC-T7 and it fit just perfect! Just to give you another reference, I tried fitting into it a second generation Flip Mino HD and it also fit pretty well (though I intend to use the case for my DSC-T7)

Overall, another great product from Amazon basics, the frustration free package includes additionally the 1-year guarantee Amazon offers for the product. If it fits your camera, I highly recommend this case!

The good the backpack provides great protection for your equipment. It is well thought out and has plenty of room. The bad one zipper pull came off from the zipper after a second time it was used. For a product like this you would think a better zipper pull would be used.

This is a really good camera case for the price. It has a clip for hooking on to a bag or other carrying products and has a soft inside so it doesn't damage the lense or screen of your camera also has pockets on inside to store a memory card or cleaning cloth and the best thing is the hard outer layer protects the camera from dropping or similar situations, overall good but the color is kind of dull still good though

This case is excellent. Not only was it cheaper than what I could find at Best buy, etc--there were a lot of colors to choose from. It is a snug, secure fit for my camera. There is a Velcro latch inside that helps hold the camera in place. Its soft and protective, plus it comes with a skin protector shield that you can cut to size. I just returned form two weeks in Alaska and found the Lowepro Vertex 300 was what I expected from Lowepro. I found that it easily stored in the overhead bin and was easy to carry in the field. I carried a Nikon D100 and F100 both with the extended battery packs, a 170-500mm Sigma Telephoto, two additional lenses, an Epson P-3000, DX-80 Flash, various Cokin filters, extra batteries, chargers, flashlight, 20 rolls of film, manuals, tools, canned air and a Gitzo 2530 with no problem. So, as you can see I had just about everything but the kitchen sink! The ability to carry this by it's top strap made it easy to get around. The build quality is very good also. I will purchase Lowepro again!

After a week in Yellowstone National Park doing day hikes (70 miles of trails in 7 days)and carrying the Lowepro Vetex 300 AW loaded with video equipment I am happy to say it passes with flying colors.

One comment though that I hope makes it to the LowePro people is to begin to pay more attention to the needs of the mobile video community. More on this later.

I was carrying a Panasonic HVX200, high definition, a hand-held form factor video camera, three Focus Enhancements DTE FS-100 portable digital video recorders, a .6x wide angle adapter and a large, heavy 2x telephoto adapter both by Century Precision Optics and a set of rods for mounting the telephoto adapter. Of course there was the full complement of batteries, lens cleaning acessories and a small Pentax 7.1 megapixel point and shoot camera.

The tripod I carried was quite a bit heavier and bulkier than a typical still camera tripod. For HD video a heavy fluid head and stout sticks are necessary, even with image stabilization on, to get clean video. Using a telephoto adapter this is especially important.

My total weight load was between 35 and 40 pounds and I must say that the Vertex 300 AW was comfortable beyond belief! I have been backpacking since before the invention of the internal frame pack (almost 40 years) and this pack under load was as comfortable as any I have ever carried. In addition when adjusted and cinched properly the Vetex 300 AW was as stable as any pack I have worn. Even climbing 700 feet in ohe-half mile on a narrow trail the pack was comfortable and stable and truely a joy to carry.

I could easily have carried more weight, if this pack could stand up to more. I have not been able to find any maximum-load recommendations on the LowePro website so I do not know if I exceeded the recommendations of LowePro and/or the design specs, but I could have easily shouldered more weight using this well designed pack.

LowePro should give a bit more thought to design for video camera carriers. The Vertex 300 AW is rated to carry a "professional" video camera. The shoulder mount form factor of most pro cameras (like the ones you see TV news videographers carying) make the cameras larger than the Panasonic HVX200 that I was carrying and I cannot imagine there is enough room in the Vertex 300 AW for a pro camera, unless the lens is detached. That is something the vast majority of videographers are NOT willing to do on a regular basis as a crew travels, sets up, shoots, breaks down and travels again. So I cannot recommend to pros that this pack would be roomy enough. However if the camera you are using is the hand-held form factor this pack is great!

One other concern must be addressed for video camera use with the Vertex 300 AW. Video tripods are generally heavier and bulkier than a still camera tripod. The HD head on mine (a Manfrotto 503HDV with Manfrotto 35-1MVB2 sticks)makes up about half the weight I was carrying. Because the head is so heavy, for stability it has to be carried head down (tripod feet up). The Vertex 300 AW comes with an adjustable and removable attachment that holds two feet of the tripod at the pack's bottom. This is great for my still camera tripod, but two feet of my video tripod do not fit into the attachment. In addition because of the weight of the head I had to carry the tripod head down. Using a couple bungee cords and the straps that are part of the pack I was easily able to attach the tripod and carry it comfortably. I hope LowePro comes up with a simplier solution.

As far as air travel, even stuffed to the gills the Vertex 300 AW fit into overhead bins with ease.

This is a great, comfortable, stable pack if you need to carry a great deal of equipment and long distance and keep it safe this is the pack for you.

I recently went on a 3-week cross country RV-styled trip and took this bag along to handle photography equipment and my 17" macbook pro (uni-body style). It worked well for me.

the laptop fits just fine, and if you're needing to shove something else in with the machine (a book for instance) it can accomodate that, though i get nervous of the screen taking more impact than it normally would.

the exterior compartments do well to hold misc items (headphones, point and shoot camera, etc), and the interior storage is more than adequate. I actually didn't take a whole lot of photography equipment, but it was intentional to give me a pack that could handle photo gear along with all of the other miscellaneous items that i had along (books, point-and-shoot cameras, batteries, chargers, etc, etc.

it has a shoulder strap covering panel so you can zip it up if you don't want to have the shoulder carrying straps get caught on things, and it has a waterproof, cinch-down covering in case you go hiking in the rain. speaking of rain, the zippers are the rubberized, waterproof looking variety (I haven't tested it yet in wetness).

the shoulder straps fit well and the waist band is broad to help offload the weight from your back.

it's spendy, for sure, but i think it'll last quite a while and suit my needs well. I don't think I have anything bad to say about the bag. it's only the price that made me swallow hard.

Honest reviews on Lowepro Vertex 300 AW Backpack

I am heading to China for a year and needed a bag to carry a substantial amount of my photo equipment

on the plane and the Lowepro Vertex 300 AW Backpack does the job nicely. One is able to move the velcro

dividers and adjust the interior of the bag to meet ones storage needs. Also, there are added compartments for miscellaneous items adding to it's versatility.

This bag is definitely for someone who needs to travel with a lot of equipment for an assignment or for an extended photo trip. If you need a bag for walking around with two or three lenses and a DSLR /SLR then honestly this might just be too much bag.

I am able to pack away quite comfortably the following:

Nikon D300s body w/battery grip

Nikon D3s body

50mm lens

85mm lens

180mm lens

28mm-75mm lens

80mm 400mm lens

8mm fisheye lens

12mm 24mm lens

2x teleconverter

15" MacBook Pro

SB800 speedlight

Light Meter

Nikon SC-28 cord

Battery Charger

70" tripod

an international electrical plug adapter kit

various filters, flash memory cards, dust cloths, etc....

I have used Lowepro products before and have always been happy with their quality. I have been caught out in the rain and snow before and their bags have always protected my equipment. As far as airport carry on back pack camera bags that carry a great deal of equipment it does not get much better.

Lowepro gets it right, February 11, 2009

I have had Lowepro backpacks for many years and always loved how they fit me and how practical their compartments & configuration were. I bought my Tamrac camera backpack 4 years ago and it is also a nice backpack but I outgrew it and on a recent trip to Europe, it developed a split on one side. A couple other photographers in Europe were using various Lowepro Vertex packs and I soon bought the Vertex 300 AW to upgrade and replace my Tamrac.

I dont know why I didn't get a Lowepro to begin with as I knew their reputation and my own experiences with their packs. It is simply a great backpack and fits 2 DSLRs, 100-400mm, 70-200mm, 100mm macro, 24-70mm, 17-40mm, 10-22mm, 580EX & 430EX flash, Macro ring light and all my CF cards, batteries, card readers, & my 15.4 inch laptop (although it will fit a 17").

The straps are easy to control and snugs up tight & comfortable making this heavy load easy to carry.

It is harder to pick this loaded backpack off the floor than it is to carry it on your back.

It also comes with 2 pull out covers: 1. for covering the belt/shoulder straps for storing in overhead bins, etc.. & 2. a rain cover that covers the entire backpack to keep everything inside protected from rain/weather. I love this feature as I live in the Pacific Northwest and it rains a lot here.

On top of all this is a tripod carrier that is also easy to position and use.

I highly recommend this pack but will warn that when it is full, it is very heavy. Lowepro Vertex 300 AW Backpack

I needed a case for my new Nikon D3200 with a 18-55 MM and 55-300 MM lenses, Metz 50 AF-1 flash, flash diffuser, Nikon battery charger and extra battery, AA photo batteries, FotoSharp 20" Rain Cover, Giotto air blaster, another small Kodak D55 camera, and incidental stuff. All of these fit into this Kata KT DC-445 Digital Case (Black) with room to spare, but not too much. The case is smaller than I expected, based on the picture but ample. Well constructed and the placement of interior dividers are convenient, but not as flexible as I expected. The yellow interior is excellent and things are easy to see. Cover closes well and double zippers prevents items from falling out when open, while permitting easy access while carrying the case. Side pockets have full size section risers to also prevent items from falling out when the zippers are open. Zippers are well-made and stitching sturdy. Carry strap fits well and stays in place on shoulder. The case is VERY light, although the newer model is even lighter, but doesn't have the zippered side pockets. That's why I selected the DC-445. The warranty for Kata bags is excellent and they happen to be from the same corporation that makes the Metz flash unit products. If you want a sturdy case for one DSLR, lenses and items you need, this is a good choice. It does not have tripod carrying straps, but I don't need that feature anyway.

This review is about Kata KT DC-445 Digital Case (Black) .

My intention was to find a bag for short trips with limited amount and minimal weight of equipment.

For these trips I need camera, flash and two zoom lenses. Very important detail: My camera and I agreed that we'll never leave home without battery grip attached so bag must be wide enough to accomodate Nikon D700 + Nikon MB-D10 Multi Power Battery Pack.

My choice of lenses was Tamron AF 28-75mm f/2.8 and Nikon 70-300mm f/4.5-5.6 VR. Of course, I wanted to keep at least Tamron 28-75 mm attached and still have some space for Nikon SB-800 AF Speedlight Flash. I'm glad to report that DC-445 satisfied almost all my needs: Camera sits with attached Tamron looking down, flash and 70-300mm are very snug into their quarters.

Some spare space under camera is used for Black Rapid Straps RS4. That's it, problem solved.

However, some cons are still there: DC-445 is not tall enough to store D700 with Nikon 70-300 mm attached. Actually, I can squeeze this assembly at a price of keeping the lid zip fastener partially open. Also, I personally don't like the two-side zipper, too much fuss to open. I prefer some secure buckle to be able to unfasten it quickly in case of need.

Bottom line: Nice bag for configuration I described, light-weighted, has soft and convenient shoulder strap and last but not least: Looks neat and well shaped.

Best Deals for Kata KT DC-445 Digital Case (Black)

This is a very well made and well thought out bag. It holds a great deal more gear than it looks. My only recommendation is to have a quick release catch on the top so you can keep it closed without using the zipper.

Honest reviews on Kata KT DC-445 Digital Case (Black)

This is a very nice camera bag for the price.

The build quality is outstanding and the compartments are soft and have a nice feel to them.

My only complaint, and it's not really a big one is that the zippers can get stuck and need to be jiggled once in a while.

A little smoother action would have been nice, but again, not a big deal.

Great product overall!!

I first bought a Kata Bug-203 back pack on Amazon and loved the function and appearance of the bag and its high quality. But it was large and, when filled with equipment, heavy. It would be great for a wildlife expedition to carry lots of equipment including a long telephoto lens. So I decided that a large backpack was impractical for every-day carrying around and organizing equipment. Enter the Kata 445 bag . . .

I could not tell by looking at the online information how much equipment the 445 bag (or most other bags) really held. So I went to a local camera store that carries lots of Kata models in order to see for myself. I was pleased with the 445 and even more pleased after I brought it home and loaded my camera equipment into it. So far, with room to spare (it would hold two more lenses, my BlackRapid Sport camera strap, and odds and ends), here is what I have inside the bag: Nikon D800 camera body with 28-300mm zoom lens attached; 28-105 zoom lens; 28mm prime lens; 85mm prime lens; Op-Tech camera strap; cleaning cloth and bottle of cleaning fluid; spare battery; battery charger and power cord; memory card reader and cables; extra USB cable; Nikon pocket-sized camera guide;two large polarizing filters in their plastic cases; camera body and lens caps; memory cards and containers. Thus . . . camera with telephoto lens attached, plus three other lenses, plus room to spare.

I love that Kata has the same sense of quality, materials, appearance and design as Apple does with computers and devices such as the iPad and iPhone. The materials, handle, and strap are all high quality. All Kata bags have a bright yellow interior so you can quickly find your things. In the 445, the side pockets are so hidden in the exterior view that one would not realize they are there. Yet, they hold a lot of fairly flat things (they would easily hold filters and batteries).

So how do we get this room in a small package? Well, you might do it differently, because the interior dividers can be moved into different configurations depending on your equipment and sense of convenience. Here's what I did and what's in the bag before anything is inserted: There are six two-story pockets formed by the dividers. One of the center pockets does not have a "middle floor", so that the camera can lay lens-down into that space. This leaves five other "lower floor" pockets that hold my three lenses (with large lens hoods attached), plus my battery charger, memory card reader, and cables in the remaining two pockets (although they could have been moved to the outside side pockets if I had needed space for more lenses or flash units). The flaps between the "first and second floors" are such that all of the the six pockets will have a padded flap covering the lower level, except for the space filled by a lens attached to the camera body. The camera then lies face down in the "second floor". There would be room around even my D800 easily to hold a mounted battery grip, or one or two additional lenses.

And what about the inside of the top of the bag, and the sides? The top contains two flap-covered pockets (with stretch web interior pockets) that would hold many memory cards. Also inside the top, immediately below these two pockets, is a large see-through zippered pocket that holds, for example, lens and camera body caps and memory card holders. Inside one of the zippered outside edge pockets is space for documents (even a 300-page camera manual if you want) and two more stretchable mesh web pockets. I have my camera battery on one of them with lots of room to spare just in that one mesh interior pocket. The opposite edge of the camera bag has a similar zippered pocket with three interior pockets, but they are fabric pockets rather than mesh. This main zippered pocket is where I keep my two large polarizing filters (77mm and 67mm in their cases plus a bottle of cleaning fluid. I have a cleaning cloth in one of the three pockets inside this zippered compartment, and still I have two small pockets unused).

The bag is light yet sturdy (with large aluminum rings on each side for attaching the removable shoulder strap). Even with all my equipment in it, the bag does not feel heavy (much lighter-feeling that when the same equipment is in a back pack). Besides looking good, the practical benefits are that (1) my equipment is safely organized and stored (although I would not want to drop the bag on the floor--the equipment would be safer in my Bug-203 Kata backpack), and (2) the bag is so compact and light that I am much more apt to have my camera and lenses with me when picture-taking opportunities arise.

I hope this helps. I had procrastinated for a month in buying the Kata 445 because--although I liked its looks and compact size-I did not believe how much it would hold until I actually saw it. This bag goes right along side my cars and my iMac and my iPad and my iPhone as quality things that I am happy to have.

Billingham 335 Camera Bag (Black w/ Tan Trim) Reviews

Billingham 335 Camera Bag
Customer Ratings: 5 stars
Buy Now
Where do I start? I am admittedly biased when it comes to Billingham... I've owned a smaller Billy bag for several years and have always loved the quality, durability and practical usefulness. The quality of construction and materials on this handmade product is second-to-none, which I appreciate as a certified "Leica Man" (my apologies to Ken Rockwell.) On a serious note, I recently used this bag during a vacation to haul around two Leica rangefinder bodies and 3-4 M lenses, or alternately a Nikon D600 with a 14-24 behemoth and a 105mm micro (er, macro) and 50mm prime lens...this particular bag easily housed these two configurations, with added room for an iPad and a few other small items... In conclusion, you can certainly pay less for a good bag; Billingham pricing reflects their peerless level of quality and durability, as well as an admitted premium for a prestigious name and look. Although you'll pay more for Billingham, you'll get a quality product that will last a lifetime with proper care (and will actually look better with wear and age, in my humble opinion.)

Reviews of Genuine real COW leather case bag cover for Panasonic G5 G-5 camera

Genuine real COW leather case bag cover for Panasonic G5 G-5 camera half case brown color
Customer Ratings: 5 stars

This half-case fits the G5 like a glove. High quality leather and materials used. Comes with a brass screw which aligns perfectly to the tripod screw hole on the bottom of the camera. The brass screw can easily be loosened or tightened into the tripod screw hole of the camera by using a coin (i.e. a nickel).

This item may be a little pricey, but it really gives the G5 a retro/classic look not to mention how it gives great protection to the camera. This half-case even comes with its own protective string-drawn pouch (beige in color)!

I use this half-case all the time, and have received compliments on it. The only drawback is the fact that you need to take the half-case on and off every time you take the SD memory card or battery out from the camera since the half-case blocks the access door from the bottom of the camera. But that's expected. At least it protects the bottom of the camera from being scratched.

Overall, I would recommend G5 owners to purchase one of these!

I wanted a camera case that would be slim and easy why have this tiny camera and have a big bulky bag weigh me down? This case is the perfect size, has some solidity so I know it's keeping my camera protected, and seems to be decent quality. Not to mention it's far more affordable than most of the cases I have looked at, and a great color.

This little case fits my Canon Powershot camera perfectly. It's nice and thick and protects my camera as it bounces around my huge tote. Would buy again.

This fits my Canon point-and-shoot well. It's sturdy (slightly flexible sides, but stiff enough to take a little abuse) and a great price. I'm glad I bought this instead of the expensive, lower quality one that the local box store tried to sell me!

Love this case. Have had no problems with it. Would tell anyone to buy it! Love the color too! I use it at work, and at home. Even traveled to London, was a great camera holder. Zipper works fine!

This is the perfect size for my canon powershot sd770. It holds the camera in place with velcro on one side. On the other there is a place that holds an extra battery perfectly. I got the navy blue and I love it.

I scouted around for quite a long time before buying this bag and I am pleased with it. I wanted something comfortable to wear, something that didn't scream "camera", something with plenty of room for a camera, a couple of lenses and still enough room for keys, wallet, pen and notepad etc and yet not too big as to encourage overstuffing. My Mythos covers all those bases and after using it almost daily for 7 or 8 months now I'm still happy with it's quality and practicality.

I carry a hefty Nikon D200, usually with lens attached, and have room for another 2 lenses or lens and flash. The zipper mesh pocket holds memory cards and little sundries, and the bigger pocket in the front has ample room for phone, batteries, filters and other necessities. The shoulder strap is wide with a nice pad on it which distributes the weight well.

The only reason I haven't given it 5 stars is that the vertical zippers separating the front and rear compartments tend to creep down on both sides. This isn't a problem when the front latch is kept latched but occasionally I've carelessly grabbed the bag when it's not latched and noticed the zippers heading south. That could easily dump everything out, a scary thought. It hasn't gotten any worse over the months I've used it, but I'm keeping a watchful eye on it.

After using this bag daily for the past 3 weeks I find it sturdily built with quality materials, optimally sized for daily use, and lightweight yet with plenty of padding. It's stealthy in that it doesn't really look like a typical camera case. My Canon EOS 450D fits snugly in the main compartment with a point-n-shoot and a couple of lenses. The case opens very cleverly and the main compartment can be accessed from the top or the front very cool.

I didn't give it 5 stars because of the cost. I found it on sale ($45) at a national electronics merchant, which made the price easier to swallow.

It fits perfectly for my T1i kit and extra telephoto lens. Extra space could be used for POS camera, flash or hood. Pretty much that's all for the main space. There are 2 other zipper for front and back pouches that can be used for memory card, multi-tools, filter, paper, pen, battery and charger.

Camera can be access from top or front. As other reviewer mention, the front zipper wasn't securely lock. It may open by itself if you forgot to close the latch. Probably tamrac/lowepro had better design, but for the money and beginner bag, this one match the profile.

Honest reviews on SwissGear GA-7865-02F00 MYTHOS Large SLR Camera Case

I love this Swissgear camera bag. It fits my Nikon D3100 and all my accessories in a compact package. It is very durable and well-padded. It has several compartments for smaller items such as the battery charger and SD Cards. It also has padded inserts that can be changed around.
