I purchased this roller backpack specifically to use as a carry-on when I fly. I think it will meet the size specs for carry-on luggage on larger aircraft, but I'm not sure about commuters. It is a little larger than I had first thought, fully loaded it measures 22"H x 15"W x 11"D (the width measurment is across the span of the wheels).

It is extremely well constructed and has lots of room for camera gear. I have my Canon EOS1d, 100-400 lens, 24-70 lens, 16-24 lens, Flash, charger and lots of other smaller gear stowed in the bag along with my 15" notebook pc, charger & mouse. Granted, it's heavy but that's why I needed wheels. I can carry it fully loaded as a backpack but not all day! The wheels look durable but the slide out handle could be a bit more solid, we'll see after a few trips how that holds up. It is well designed and has a whole bunch of smaller pockets for cell phones and misc items. The front zippered compartment is ideal for passports, tickets, notepads, pens, etc. Overall, I'm happy with my purchase and would recommend this bag to my friends.

I compared price, build, size and capacity when I bought this, as I needed a carry on. I thought I had made a fantastic decision. First off, I do love the bag itself. It has a profound amount of storage, and the yellow interior is really nice. Almost all my issues come with the detachable trolley. I too, have issues with the little kickstand, and have had the bag dump over frontwards a couple times. My first trolley lasted about 3 months before the axles were bent enough that the frame would drag, and the wheels would rub the pack. I contacted Norazza Inc. and they were extremely accommodating (they actually sent me one of their hard roller cases for free) and seemed to want to make everything better. They also sent me an entire new trolley. It lasted about 3 days....the build quality was well below that of the original. I contacted them again, stating there was no need to replace this trolley if the quality was not addressed and was told the ACPro4000 bag had been redesigned so the pockets would not rub when the axle flexes, and that I would be receiving a new bag when they are in stock. That was July, it is now November and I have not received any word on that yet. I have sent a few emails and hate to be negative because they were so helpful at first, but I am getting NO response now. Again, the bag itself is great, built like a tank, well organized, attractive, and will fit in most overhead compartments. I bought a Lowepro for twice the price, a little less room it seems, but it still rolls like the day I got it. I was ecstatic to be dealing with such great customer service at first, but it did not last. If I hear from them, I will update this review.

Let me preface this with saying: I am SUPER enthusiastic about this product.

Being on a short budget that I wanted to fully maximize, I went through a vigorous exercise in researching different bags. After looking at many video reviews, written reviews, and bags of varying expense, size, and material... I determined to purchase the Ape Case ACPRO4000. I couldn't have made a better decision!

This bag is crafted out of sturdy and nearly weather proof material--and whatever the initial material doesn't protect you from, there is an excellent weather proofing flap in the bottom of the bag.

I love the many zippers that keep everything secure. In fact, the attention to security is immaculately detailed--there is even a clip on the inside of the bag, specifically for making sure the split-zipper pocket in the front doesn't accidentally unzip on it's own to reveal the contents on the immediate inside.

What is really impressive is that I can fit my 4 Nikkor lenses, 2 remote releases, Telephoto Lens extension, Wide Macro Lens extension, camera body, speedlight, LED ring light, 30 filters, 3 tripods (gorilla, monopod, and tripod), all of the chords and adapters, my computer, my iPad, all of my manuals and receipts, and MORE into this single bag! I'm excited to see if I can fit my travel teleprompter set-up and power supply into this kit, as I STILL have room to spare.

The best part of this bag though? It weighs less than my baby does, even with everything inside of it... and it's still small enough in dimension to be considered a carry on for Southwest Airlines! The backpack and in-line baggage wheels give me the option to take my entire kit on hikes and into remote places, with ease.

Obviously, I can't rave enough. Whether you're a professional or a hobbyist, buy this bag--you won't regret it.

My brother needed a backpack that was larger than his previous Canon backpack. My brother likes it very much. It is a bit heavier but that can be a good thing when it comes to protection of your equipment. It does have a rain cover that if not careful you might not see it. It is on the bottom of the pack. Everything works well including the wheels. The pull bar could be a bit sturdier but again do you want more weight. If careful in handling, it might not every have an issue. We have not tried going on an airline yet but that is a bit of a concern as it is large. Inside the case is plenty of room for 2 cameras, flash, several lenses as well as your accessories. It is a very well built unit overall and would recommend it if you need a lot of space.

The attention to details are fabulous. Every in of space is utilized to its fullest potential. Compartments and pockets are endless, but very useful for us jet setting camera pros. I have a "Canon S95" and also the "Caselogic TBC-302" case which I love but at the suggestion of another reviewer I bought this case just to try it out. I found it to be a good case and made well but there is not any padding inside and no room for anything in there but an extra SD card if positioned right. I like to keep a couple extra batteries in the case so I prefer the "Caselogic TBC-302". See my review there.

Lowepro's LP3663 Santiago 20 case is the same as the regular Santiago 20 case, except for the gray color. That being the case, why it should cost over 30% more is a bit baffling.

Typical for Lowepro, build quality is mostly good. The case is stiffened to hold its shape under a reasonable about of pressure, and has what feels like a nylon covering over a stiff but flexible EVA (ethylene vinyl acetate) shell. The case isn't "crushproof", but it should hold up fairly well under most general use conditions. There are no external pockets or compartments.

The belt loop is made of some kind of thin synthetic material. At only 1.5" wide and 3" across, the loop is too loose for my taste. If you have a narrower belt, which is typically true for most people, the case will slide around quite a bit. Widening the loop and tightening it up to 2" across would be a better idea. The case has two sets of zipper handles, so when worn on your belt, it's generally more convenient to open the case using both hands.

The case also comes with a thin nylon shoulder strap. The strap has a thin plastic clip which could easily break. This is an example of skimping by Lowepro, who have a troubling tendency to use plastic parts in critical applications, for many of their cases, such as their Toploader series.

Inside, the Santiago 20 has a pocket on the front side of the case. Depending on your camera, you might be able to squeeze a memory card, battery, or both in this space. There is an elastic strap, on the belt loop side of the case, that can be used secure the camera in place. The case is designed to open only about 60 degrees, which helps keep your camera from accidentally spilling out.

I got this case specifically for a Canon S95 point and shoot, a camera with straight sides and relatively sharp corners. I already had a softer case with more padding, which was fine for basic protection, but was looking for a rigid case for added protection. Although it's possible to squeeze both a spare battery and SD card inside the case, closing the zipper was a little tough, so I usually just put the camera in.

Overall, while this is a well constructed case, I found that it was a bit small for the S95, and I ended up giving the case to someone who had a slightly smaller camera. If you have any doubt whether this case is big enough, it's highly advisable that you physically verify that your camera fits by testing it out in a store. Unless gray is worth paying a premium, you might want to look at the regular black Santiago 20 case. If this case is too small, you might take a look at Lowepro's Santiago 30 case.

A few months ago I purchased the Clik Elite Pro CE406GR Back Pack with Click Stand (Gray). This pack has a huge capacity for camera gear and provides a very comfortable way to carry a heavy load. I carry a large DSLR and several pro lenses and substantial tripod. The pack gives the capacity I need and workspace that keeps my gear and the pack out of the dirt in the field.

One feature that the pack offers is the capability to snap in a chest pack that holds a camera body and lens. The clips are integrated into the pack straps and waist belt. I decided to order this chest pack to use with my pack.

The chest pack came and it's great lots of room for a pro-body DSLR with battery grip, 70-200mm f/2.8, and even my Really Right Stuff L-bracket. It comes with a harness, strap, and built-in rain cover. There's room in the cover for memory cards, batteries, maybe a couple filters, your keys, stuff like that. There are pockets on the side that would probably be good for maps, or thin stuff like that.

Now there's one little thing this is the new-for-2011 chest pack with some new features (the built-in rain cover), but unfortunately the clips are not compatible with the back pack I listed above Clik Elite Pro CE406GR Back Pack with Click Stand (Gray). (Clik Elite provide a retrofit set of clips)... But if you want to get the features I described and attach the chest pack to the back pack without a retrofit kit, you need to get the 2010 version of the chest pack Clik Elite CE511GR SLR Telephoto Chest Pack (Gray) it's basically the same chest pack, but with slightly different harness, strap, and clips compatible with the back pack. The 2010 version of the chest pack does not have the built-in rain cover, so you'd need to pick up a little one here or there Camelbak Tactical Rain Cover

The chest pack is very large. My 12 year-old son told me he wasn't going anywhere near me when I have it on it looks like a baby carrier. But strange looks aside, I have been alone in the wilderness with my pro-DSLR around my neck with the 70-200 and fallen on the rocks. I got lucky and saved the camera and lens from damage, but it was too close for comfort. This case provides protection from that kind of accident, and gets the weight off your neck. With the camera in a chest pack, it's a lot more accessible for shooting than if it's in the back pack. So I may look a little strange, but given that I am going deep in the woods when I use this, there's probably not going to be too many people that see me anyway. And if I lose my balance, there's a good chance the camera isn't going to get destroyed...

I use Olympus 4/3'rds equipment. My E-5 with HLD-4 battery holder along with my ZD 35-100 (70-200 equivalent in 35mm terms) mm f 2.0 lens fit inside this case with the lens hood (reversed) with little difficulty; the fit is a bit easier without the lens hood on the lens. In addition, my Olympus ZD 300mm (600mm equiv.) f2.8 lens will also fit in the bag (begrudingly), without the lens hood and without the camera attached, this is good for me as I do not like the lens swinging around in its supplied case while hiking Blue Ridge/Skyline Drive. In both instances above there is no way I could have my EC-14 (1.4X) teleconverter attached; also, tripod ring was attached to both lenses.

The pack is comfortable even with the heavy 300mm f2.8 lens in it. I also like that the pack can be attached to my QE backpack via the ports built into the shoulder straps, I have the 2010 Escape backpack. With this pack I will have fewer worries of my $$$ lenses hitting a rock or tree and being damanged.

This is a great pack! There are tons of compartments to store stuff! The top of it is separated from the camera department therefore you cannot get to the camera from the top. It also has pockets to store manuals and other items. There is a laptop compartment that you could easily convert into a bladder holder.

The top also has 2 front access pockets deep enough to store the cables and battery charger. These are covered by a belt system that can be used to store at least 2 tripods if you needed two. I placed my travel binoculars on one of these straps.

On the side you will find a mess pocket for water or other tiny stuff. The other side, unzip it and there is a pop-out mesh pocket as well. This would be good if the other pocket was holding the tripod.

The camera area is separated from the pack and is a zipper compartment which is very sturdy and very well padded. This compartment the foam separators can be arranged how you like. It is big enough to store a T3i with the kit 55mm lens attached for the middle, three telephotos (300mm, 35-105mm, & 500 telescope), filters, and macro lens. There is no room for expansion unless you place other equipment in the top storage area.

The straps are well padded with an added chest strap that can be moved up or down. Plus the straps have extra loops to place more add-on bags.

The waist strap can be stored in the pocket if you are not using it. This pocket also contains the rain cover.

It also had padding on the waist strap and back of the bag for extra comfort. The top handle is even padded.

This is a great backpack! I used it to hike moderate trails and also biking. I give it 4 instead of 5 because of the padding the pack seems stiff. I am unsure how this will feel in the summer time. Plus this is not a quick pack. You could possibly keep the waist straps on and whip it around, however I am clumsy and fear to drop my equipment.

But this is a definite find for the price! I highly recommend this pack!

I bought this for Canon Powershot SX50 HS. I loved the color and size and camera does fit inside although it would make more sense if it was wider than taller so the camera sits better inside. I didn't love it enough b/c the black sides were not cut symmetrical so when stitched together, it didn't look right to me. I don't know if it's just the one I got was slightly defective but it shouldn't be sold if it's not shaped right. I didn't want to try to ask for a replacement (or actually order same one again) in case another one was similar. I will look for something else.

I bought this for my Nikon D70s and it does not fit at all. This bag is too small. I'm pretty disappointed as this is advertised as being able to work with DSLR's. In the photos it looks likes a good sized DSLR fits in there, and then the photo with the girl, she has a huge lens on her camera, there is no way that camera fits in her bag. My lens is normal length. I'm sure for the smaller coolpix wannabe DSLR it's fine, but for a regular DSLR it does not work.

I needed a camera bag that would hold and protect my precious Canon Rebel while I went backpacking though Mammoth Mtn., Ca for a week. I needed a case that would allow me to carry my camera by my side to allow me to quickly get out my camera to snap a few shots and stick it back in. I decided on this bag for a few reasons: I know Samsonite makes quality bags so I knew it wouldn't fall apart anytime in my lifetime, and therefore survive a backpacking trip, plus I really liked the possibility of switching it up from carrying it on my shoulder to carrying it around my hip. Yes, I rocked it as a fanny pack....and it was awesome! I'm bringing it back in style lol The fanny pack option made it super easy to hike with my pack on and carry my camera separately. The little pads where the straps connect make it super comfortable to sit on my hip even when I carried it on my shoulder. Oh and it totally protected my camera from water twice! Once when I slipped off a rock and plunged into the stream (I lack in the balance department) and another time when my friend decided it would be funny to dump a bottle of water on my head. My camera came out dry as a whistle both times, thank God! Not to mention it must have saved my camera from countless bumps and slams into rocks as we made our way slipping through the rocky terrain. So, all in all, this has been a great camera bag for accident prone adventures and was super convenient and comfortable wearing for long periods of time.

I purchased this case for my panasonic lumix fh-1 in hopes i could squeeze it in (case dimensions are a bit smaller than my camera). the camera fits quite nicely without pressing into the elastic so its worth mentioning that it is a few millimeters wider than stated. the build quality appears much better than the price point would elude to. the magnetic clasp is stronger than expected. the interior surfaces are not exceptionally soft or padded but i don't expect them to wear on the screen. the belt loop on the back is much narrower than i'd like and feels stressed when attached to all but my narrowest belt, but it does fit. overall this is a solid, cheap case i can feel confident in recommending

Nice case! I bought it for the horizontal orientation because I wanted to wear a small camera (Canon 780is) on my belt (on vacation) rather than carry one around in a pocket. Worked just dandy, and I like the magnetic lid. You can be pretty quick and inconspicuous on the draw with this thing, and that's wonderful.

My only complaint: The case could use an extra little pocket or even an elastic band for a memory card or battery. Oh well.

All around excellent (and extremely comfortable wearing) accessory for your point-and-shoot camera.

My previous camera was large and the case even larger...so I finally went with the small Canon Elph 300 and thought this little case would be perfect for it. I love it! It is nice and snug and safe for the camera and I can just tuck the entire thing in my purse so I'll always have my camera with me! This is a well thought out bag. It will be fine, if you only carry what is truly nec. I found it after extensive research on review sites, and reading through forums. We love it, it is very strong and durable. No cheap zippers, only heavy well built material is included.

You can rearrange the dividers as needed, and it has numerous pouches for sd cards, batteries, and such. Also the built in weather cover is great, simple and functional.

Skip the backpacks and go with what is probably the last brand of bags that we will buy.

I bought this waist pack on the recommendation of blogger Ken Rockwell, whom I closely follow and generally agree with. However, I don't share Ken's passion for this case. It might be perfect for an advanced mirrorless kit, such as a Sony Nex 7 or Leica M, but it's too small for the DSLR I carry on hiking trips.

The manufacturer claims this case "carries one standard size DSLR plus 2-3 small zoom or prime lenses." Well, maybe, but not with the convenience I prefer.

I bought this case to carry a Canon 6D with a 28-135 mm zoom lens (mounted, with hood), a 100mm macro auxiliary lens (with hood), a small flash, cleaning supplies, and a few filters. I consider the 6D to be a "standard size DSLR." It's slightly smaller than a Canon 5D. Both lenses are what I consider to be small. Yet this equipment just barely fits in this case -and not in the ready-to-shoot configuration I need.

Four times out of five, the lens I want when I pull out my camera is my zoom. But this case is too small to comfortably carry my camera with the zoom installed. The main compartment just isn't deep enough. So I have to mount a smaller lens to the body and store my zoom separately. This means that four times out of five when using this case,I have to change lenses before I can get to work and reverse the process when I'm done.

Admittedly, against Ken's advice, I use rigid lens hoods, which are bulky and take up a lot of space when deployed. But even with the hoods reversed, my camera and just TWO lenses are a very tight fit in this case. Too tight for easy use.

Aside from the size, however, this is a great case. It's built like a tank (no pun intended) and has a lot of nice, practical features for working photographers. I just have to wonder what "standard DSLR" this case was designed for.

Its very hard to judge whether the depth of a camera bag will work out for "lens on" carrying without trying it. This one is fine for a nikon D600 plus a short telephoto (say 25-80) or non-pro primes of 200 mm or less. It could even take the 70-300. It was a couple inches short for the new 70-200 f4, either mounted or dismounted. I'm waiting to hear from thinktank of the speed freak will be more suitably sized for my needs.

The rest of the attributes of the bag are great, especially its ability to take more modulus components. It just was not quite sized right for me.

A "zoom lens"? You're kidding! Well, again, it was my mistake to not research the meaning of "standard DSLR". This probably refers to a consumer camera and lens from Panasonic, Sony, etc.

I have a Canon SD1100 in brown, and this case fits it perfectly and also matches the color nicely. The case is also well made, feels "cushy" on the inside, and the magnetic closure makes opening/closing effortless.

I really like the camera bag that came with this kit though I would prefer a little more room so I could store extra batteries, digital media cards, and the USB cord all in the pocket. The kit came with a charging base and a couple of rechargable batteries also. I would have prefered that it come with the power cord for the camera also, this would save more in the long run when it comes to battery time. You use more battery power when uploading pictures than any other time. All in all it was a great buy.

I purchased this charger as a Fuji NP-120 battery charger, so I am pleased. Works well, "Red" light charging, "Green" light done. NOTE: This Charger is NOT DUAL VOLTAGE, and can only be used in the US or Canada without a Transformer. The AA/AAA Battery Charger is really inadequate, as it will only charge 2 AA's, or 2 AAA's separately. You can however charge 4 AA, and 4 AAA's together, but no Mix and Matching of battery types. The pins to hold the AA/AAA Batteries in place are a bit flimsy, but I did not purchase this charger for this reason. And lastly, the Camera Case is quite nice, I'm using it as a Sony 4XAAA battery charger case, as it is just the right size for that purpose, and there is a zippered pouch in front to hold 4 loose AA batteries as well.

All in all it is a pretty good package, but I wished that it was Dual Voltage, and it is a little outdated (Tech Wise).

The case for the camera is very nice. The second part of the shipment the batteries and charger was'nt. The batteries were so swolen that they could not fit in the camera; the charger didn't work with rechargeable batteries I already had.
