This kit is a great buy. The camera case is sturdy and very well-made. The 70" tripod is of professional quality, for only a fraction of the price! No comment on the DVD as I've never used it. Definitely recommend this item!

Best value for money!! When i ordered it, I though I am going to get couple of used products, repackaged!! But to my surprise(yes!!) everything came in very good condition. The bag is awesome as everyone said(see reviews) and the 70' tripod was excellent too(although I didnt quite like the release plate..smells of rubber)!! All these for under $40 is a great deal..for someone on a budget!! And the seller 42nd street is highly recommended too!!!

We were after a good strong bag that wasn't too bulky to hold a camera and extra lenses while hiking. This bag certainly fits the bill in terms of quality and a range of zippered pockets for holding all sorts of things things. What isn't so clear--and it could be just us--is exactly where your SLR is meant to be stashed. The largest interior pocket has two lens holders on either side of the pocket, against the edges, which leaves a sort of "T" space in the remainder of the pocket. If you place the camera in this "T" with the lens pointing down into the long leg of the "T" if kinda sorta fits, but it isn't ideal. I'd been expecting a proper padded compartment for storing the camera in this bag, but it's just not there.

I received the camera case today. In trying it the first time, the zipper broke due to the fact that the case is slightly too small and the zipper strains when I put in my Kodak Easy Share. Not worth returning, but be warned.

I bought this case for my Canon Powershot A570 and it fits perfectly. It also has space for 2 extra batteries and a memory card. I already dropped it once with the camera inside and it dampened the impact and the camera was fine.Great product!

I've already written several reviews for Lowepro camera bags and feel like maybe I am cheating by writing what amounts to be the same review for all. But if Amazon lists them separately then I suppose separate reviews of essentially the same bag are legit, too. This one is like all the others, a high quality bag at a reasonable price. Fit and finish are excellent, there is sufficient padding, and the price is good, too. I keep buying little gadgets so I keep buying more bags, but with different colors so I can distinguish them from one another. Whenever I need a camera bag, I turn to Lowepro and don't even look at any other brand.

If you are looking for a small case to protect your Nikon Coolpix S8000, the Neoprene Sleeve case brings a lot of bang for your buck! It will fulfill your basic needs to protect your camera while in storage or travel.

The camera fits snuggly inside, and the case is easy to zip. One of the features which have been most useful to me includes the removable wrist strap (for those of us who are destined to drop our cameras or those of us who aren't).

A second characteristic that I love is that the Neoprene Sleeve has a small pocket on the front of the case. The front pocket is actually large enough to store an additional memory card. Some people may find this feature as useful as I do; you'll never be left deleting pictures that you prefer to store on your memory card if/when the card in your camera is full. Instead, you can pull out your extra card and continue snapping priceless photos. The pocket also zips to ensure that extra memory cards aren't lost while carrying the camera in its case.

The Neoprene case was very affordable and has been durable for everyday wear and tear. I also like that it isn't bulky. The case is small enough to protect your camera, carry additional accessories (such as a memory card), and fit inside your purse. For those of you who like to buy American made products, this item is made in China.

I bought this case for my Nikon P300 since it's approx the same dimensions as the Nikon S8100. I am returning the case because I feel that it does not provide adequate protection for the camera. The material is not thick enough to protect the camera from bumps, etc. and there is no extra padding in the case to provide such protection. Also, not that it mattered to me, but the case did not come with the bracelet that the product description indicated it would.

The case does hold my Nikon 8100 camera as well as a spare battery and memory card. The fit, however, is VERY tight!

Honest reviews on Neoprene Sleeve (Super Black) Case for Nikon Coolpix S8000 S8100 14

I have a Nikon Coolpix S8000 camera, and was looking for a bag to carry it along with an extra battery and SD card. For that purpose, this bag is perfect. Fits the camera like a glove, and the extra zippered pocket for the battery and SD card is perfect. The ONLY con is that strap on the camera does not allow the zipper on the case to close all the way. If the zipper didn't need to travel all the way around the side of the camera, this wouldn't be an issue. Definitely worth the purchase though!

S&F Pouch 20

One of the "problems" all photographers face is how to carry their gear that keeps them safe, yet easily accessible. The Lowepro Street and Field waistbelt system is a perfect solution to this problem.

Sometimes when I go hiking, I carry my Canon Digital Rebel in the Tamrac Velocity 7 sling bag. It offers me quick access to the camera. Unfortunately, the Velocity 7 isn't very large and can't hold my Canon 100~400 f/4.5-f/5.6L IS lens, as well as miscellaneous gear, like a water bottle.

That's where the Lowpro Street and Field waistbelt comes in help. I am now able to customize the belt with different pouches, depending on that I kind of gear I want to haul.

The Lowepro Street and Field Pouch 20 is large enough to fit most point and shoot cameras. It has a draw string with lock under the opening flap to provide extra protection. The SlipLock attachment tabs provide two layers of velco attachments, making it easy to remove, yet very secure from accidental removal.

For photographers that often carry a lot of lenses, the Lowepro Street & Field waistbelt and it's various pouches are a sound investment.

I have been trying to find a way to easily carry a lot of camera equipment for quite some time. I have tried backpacks, shoulder bags, duffel bags, but none of them really worked all that well. Then I saw the Lowepro Street and Field system with completely customizable pouches, vests, belts, and accessories. It works great, you only get the pouches you need so there is no waisted space and you can organize them however you want according to how often they are used (put frequently used items in easier to access places.)

The variety alone of this system is worth the investment, but the quality and ease of use is also very high which is a big plus. You can get a case for any lens, camera body, or accessory you have. I even have cases for my cell phone and water bottle. One word of caution, be sure to measure your lens with the lens hood on backwards if you use them to make sure that the entire thing will fit into the pouch, because sometimes the lens will fit, but then the lens with the lens hood will not. I often carry 5-6 lenses, extension tubes, teleconverters, extra memory cards and batteries, and a bunch of cleaning supplies and other gadgets, which weights a ton. But when they are evenly distributed on this vest/belt Lowepro system it is actually very manageable.

The only down side is that everyone will be staring at you because you have thousands of dollars of camera equipment strapped to your body. But if you can overlook that, this is the way to go. I have used this system at many zoos without ever having problems, in fact just unzipping a single lens and switching seems safer to me than opening an entire bag of equipment every time you want to switch lenses. Many of the cases also come with a built in rain/snow cover so if the weather changes all of your equipment is not destroyed. You can also put just a few pouches on a normal belt when you are just going to take photos in the back yard or don't need to take all of your equipment, which is nice. I really can't say enough about how much easier this makes traveling with a lot of equipment, if you have been hopelessly searching for a better solution, consider this, you won't regret it.

I actually purchased this for a YN560 flash. As those familiar with the YN560, it is physically identical in size to the Canon 580EX II.

The case is very nice and very much like the case that came with my 580EX II. The fabric and padding seem to be of excellent quality and similar texture and feel of the Canon case.

This case differs in that is has a D-ring on the back as well as a nice vinyl belt loop. I could do without the D-ring and may ultimately remove it.

The only negative is the pouch is a bit tighter than the Canon pouch. As I have a 580EX II and can compare the two. The 580EX II and YN560 both fit the Canon pouch nicely. But they both fit in this case quite snuggly. To the point that the 580EX II will actually turn itself on when removing it from this pouch (the switch gets caught when you pull out the flash and flips the switch to the on position). This is no deal breaker since I bought it for the YN560 and it has a push button on switch like the original 580EX.

I would guess that this pouch was actually designed around the smaller flashes, i.e. 580EX, 430EX II and SB600/800. But the 580EX II (and YN560) are just a hair bigger.

Still it works well and I'm extremely happy with the price compared with the value. I would certainly get one again, or if I lost my Canon case, I'd likely get one of these as a replacement.

I didn't really have too many expectations for this item other than it would hopefully fit my Speedlight and provide a bit of extra protection for it when inside my camera bag. The case Nikon ships with the Speedlight is useless as it takes up too much space. Well, it did fit (like a glove) and was made of higher quality nylon than its picture would have seemed to indicate. It even had a little pocket inside the main compartment just large enough for my light's little stand, which I frequently use to attach the light to my large Manfrotto light stand. Also, it has a belt loop and sturdy metal eye (not pictured) for attaching this case externally, which is a big bonus for me as I don't have room for a flash in at least one of my bags. Overall, my expectations were surpassed and I can highly recommend this item. One word of caution is that while this case fits my particular light perfectly, it would definitely not fit anything larger than a Nikon SB-700, so check your light's dimensions before ordering.

UPDATE: This case can fit a SB-910, just barely.

Honest reviews on Carry Case Pouch for DSLR Hot Shoe Flash (For Canon 550EX 580EX II

Although the inside of my camera pack is well padded, the cost of my Canon 430ex flash still made me worry about damage in the pack. This product fits the flash perfectly, is stiff enough to provide additional protection and does not increase the footprint in the bag significantly. it can be worn on your belt too, allowing easier access when needed. I am very pleased with the purchase and can easily recommend it to others.

Think Tank really thought of everything. I used this for my 12 day trip to France and say that It stored my 70-200 perfectly. I was also able to stack a 10-24 and 18-120 lens in it when I had the 70-200 on the camera body. The locking mechanism was something that I did not think was a big deal until I put a lens case from a Sigma lens on my skin belt and it just did not ride right. I am going to buy another Think Tank pouch for a smaller lens.

My waist is 38" and I was concerned with size and comfort. I did not want to buy the bulkier padded belt, so tried this one. I am happy to say that this belt was comfortable to use on some of my all-day walkabouts in France.

Cheap Tenba Shootout Sling Bag - Medium

Tenba 632-633 Shootout Medium Convertible Photo Sling Bag
Customer Ratings: 4 stars
Buy Now
[TENBA Shootout, medium size, black.]

Let me first say that just like there is no perfect camera, there is also no perfect sling-bag (or any kind of a gear-bag for that matter). Everything depends on your particular situation. Sling-bags are either too small, too big, too difficult to switch between carrying and shooting modes, or their shape may be too awkward to accomodate your stuff in a logical and convenient way. So, mine is just a personal opinion that may or may not apply to your particular needs. Also, nobody should compare the functionality, convenience and comfort of use of sling-bags in relation to photo-backpacks or shoulder bags. All three have different uses and are completely different from one another.

Over the last seven years, I have bought and used 5 sling-bags from 3 different manufacturers (TAMRAC Velocity 6 and 7, LOWE PRO Slingshot 200AW and 300AW and TENBA Shootout Medium).

Tenba has been the last one on my list of preferences mainly because it looks quite awful in all product shots I have ever seen, both in print and online. But not long ago, I read a Shutterbug review and it made me think again about the Tenba sling-bag.

What I found out as a result of comparing all three systems, was that for small compact or hybrid camera there is no bad choice. All three systems (in appropriate sizes) work similarly well. In case of a DSLR system, though, things do not look the same.

The shape of Tamrac Velocity series does not allow to fully utilize the size of the bag for fitting an adeqate amount of gear. But it is certainly the best choice for street photography, when you don't need to carry a lot of gear with you. And it looks best of the 3 systems.

Lowe Pro Slingshot is not bad, but the difference between consecutive sizes is too big and changing from carrying to shooting mode is quick enough only if you carry the bag all the time in a manner appropriate for shooting mode (low on the back). In the aesthetics department, Lowe Pro seems very conservative and plain. The all-weather cover is implemented in the best possible way.

Tenba not only looks much better in real life than in product shots, but it also offers the most intelligent and pro-oriented design, with more useful features than the other two. Tenba represents to me the best combination of size-to-capacity ratio, ease of access to the equipment and ease of change between carrying and shooting modes, quality of materials/craftsmanship and aesthetics. It is the only one of the three systems that allows a configuration for carrying (and very easy access to) a body with a long lens attached to it, has a built-in facility for secure strapping of a small tripod and has a built-in 'bungee'-cord holder for a water bottle. The only negative I can find in its design is the fact that a rain/snow cover is stashed in such a way, that it takes up almost all the space in an outside pocket, preventing the use of that pocket for anything else.

So, Tenba Shootout became my sling-bag of choice, especially for occasions when I shoot landscapes and outdoors portraits.

This is one of four bags that I have in my collection. This is the perfect bag to take on short trips into the city or on a nature walk into the woods. It lets you pull out your camera, while you are still walking, and shoot your shot and put it back into the bag. I use to miss shots while traveling but now I am able to get them and still have my equipment protected. The zipper seem to seal themselves shut to protect from water. I carry one camera with lens, second camera body, flash w/GF difuser, 3 lenes and most important it holds a tripod. None of the other sling bags that I found hold a tripod.

Best Deals for Tenba Shootout Sling Bag - Medium

This bag does perform as advertised very nicely. I do find it's not as comfortable as a regular back-pack, but it does offer quicker access. Reasonable trade-off.

I carry a D90 w/lense, and two additional lenses and accessories. There is no good way to carry filters. Some padded pockets would be nice, maybe there's after-market available?

**I had my top-handle pull off the bag on the flight to Hawaii. An email sent to Tenba was answered within an hour to my cell phone, and a new bag was overnited to my hotel. They did ask for a CC number that would be discarded once they recieved my old bag back. (also sent pre-paid shipping label for return)

Anything this bag lacks, the company made up for with superb customer service!

Honest reviews on Tenba Shootout Sling Bag - Medium

This bag is very nice. There are some good things about it and other that can be improved. Let's start with the good ones. First the bag is very spacious for the size of it. This means that you control where the things go. One of the great things about this bag is that you can customize it however you want depending on the equipment that you want to carry. The design of the bag is very ingenious. It allows you to have easy and fast access to your camera and you don't have to take off the bag to do this. I have no problems carrying lenses, batteries, charger, memory media, flashes, remotes control, tripods or monopods. The bag is very comfortable when it is worn the right way. Here are some negative things that can be improved. Sometimes I need to take the bag off many times when I am shooting so instead of putting it on the way it is suppose to be I just place it on my shoulder (left shoulder that is, it will not stay on the right shoulder) and this position is a little uncomfortable. So really there is only one comfortable way to carry this bag and that is across your torso (the right way to carry it) if you are this type of photographer that needs to take off the bag continuously for shooting (that is to go on the ground or through a small place) I would recommend to get another bag that has two straps and can be easily placed on any shoulder, stay there, and be comfortable. Another thing that can be improved is the side access to the camera, in order to use this great feature you need to have a specific lens mounted on the camera, if you have a mid range lens the camera might not fit in this compartment limiting you on the easy fast access to the camera while walking or hiking. There are other compartments where you can place the camera with a bigger lens mounted but you will not have the easy access that the bag offers. However, I think this is a minor thing and it will not be of much concern (at least for the kind of shooting I do). However, this bag is one of the few that you can carry your camera and a high power (very long and big) lens. You can take all the things from the inside and it will carry this big lens with your camera. I just think this is a great plus for this bag (considering it is a medium size bag). Finally another great thing about this bag is that the zippers are covered with rubber making it water resistant. So if suddenly starts raining you will have time to pull out the raincoat and cover your bag (this is supplied when you buy the bag). The bag can get a little wet and the things inside will not get wet thanks to this rubber on the zippers. Overall, I think this is a great bag for an amateur photographer (like me). It will hold numerous lenses and accessories with ease and the best thing is that you can customize it depending on your photography needs

Recently I ordered first the Tenba Shootout (medium) and later the Kata 3in1-20 sling bags. A friend had recently picked up the LowePro AWS sling, which I also tried out; I liked the lowepro, but the top compartment was too small.

First some thoughts overall, both Tenba and Kata are really solid, well put-together bags. Some notes on each follow...

TENBA Shootout

very solid, pretty stylish, but rather bulky

very stiff/rigid; for me, this was not a good thing as I wanted a less bulky bag

roomy top compartment

zippers were quite stiff; taking the camera out was slow, required both hands and quite a bit of force on the zippers

wide strap was very comfortable around the shoulders (though I didn't wear it for more than an hour on my short trek); secondary strap secured the bag against the body quite well

very easy to "swing about" to access the camera

interior access was fantastic, as the entire back unzips

interior dividers OK, but not as good as the KATA's

side strap for tripod and back bungee for misc stuff handy (though securing a tripod on the side strap seemed kinda iffy, as it would tend to slide down & out)

KATA 3in1-20

very stylish bag, not much smaller but much less "bulky" than the Tenba

roomy top compartment

one-handed "unclip & zip-back" to reveal the camera was fantastic, very easy to use!

interior access was just OK, as only half the bag unzips (not a huge issue, imo)

nice interior dividers, and the neon yellow makes it very hard to lose something!

the top side pockets were very useful; lacking on the Tenba

harder than the Tenba to "swing about" to access the camera

the main issue w/the Kata was the sling strap; it is much less wide then the Tenba, and so in sling mode wasn't nearly as comfortable; in fact, during a short trek and w/the bag only moderately loaded (D90, + three lenses), I found myself adjusting the bag quite often to relieve slight discomfort on my shoulder. (didn't use the bag in backpack mode, though presumably this would be more comfy)

FWIW, the gear I stowed in the bags was a D90 with 18-200, 35-70/2.8 and 85/1.4 lenses, along with some camera miscellany (SD, batteries, cleaner, etc).

The Tenba bag went back; the Kata 3in1 bag (as I've already taken it on one trip) I'm going to try to sell locally.

Canon Soft Leather Case for Powershot S30, S40, S45, S50, S60, S70 & S80 Digital Cameras
Customer Ratings: 3.5 stars

the psc30 is a very nice case that does its primary mission well protect your s30/s40/s45/s50 from everyday wear and tear in a package that is light and compact.

pros:

protects from everyday wear and tear without adding bulk or weight to your camera/case package.

designed specifically for the canon s-series so it's a perfect fit.

very quick and easy access: using this case's belt loop, it's a two second operation to flick open the velcro cover and fish the camera out.

reasonable priced in the ballpark of generics.

cons:

does not have enough padding/protection: from all the reviews i've read, this is one of two main complaints. i have to agree; this case won't protect your camera if you drop it, but it wasn't designed to do that. if you want more padding (but with more bulk), you'll have to look elsewhere.

no extra pockets for CF cards or spare batteries: this is the other main complaint, and again, this is true. while this is an issue for some, it isn't for me because i was looking for the smallest case i could find. adding more pockets means more bulk. besides, i bought a 512MB card and for me, that's enough storage capacity that i don't need a spare CF card. a spare battery, if i felt i needed it for that day's activities, will sit in my pocket.

i like this case. i accept the "cons" i listed as a necessary trade-off to what i was really after: the smallest, lightest case for my s50. it really depends on what you want to use this case for. if you need more protection or more storage, pass on this case. if you're looking for a simple case that offers everyday protection, a perfect fit, and allows quick and easy access to your camera, this is the one.

i hope this helps you with your buying decision. peace.

BOTTOM LINE: Whatever your need in a case is, whether it's a slimline case, a belt clip case or a fully padded case w/ room for accessories, you can do better than the PSC-30.

For all of us who have a Canon S-series Powershot, we spent a lot of money on our higher-end consumer digicams and want a Canon-branded case to show off our camera and feel good about our purchase. So the least you'd expect would be either (1) they'd include a nice Canon-branded case with the camera or (2) make a Canon-branded case worthy of this line of digicams. I love my Powershot S-30, am taking fantastic pictures with it, but I have to say the case options Canon gives you has been the biggest frustration with my purchase thus far.

The positives: it's leather (or leatherette..hmm?), looks OK, specifically fits the S-series well and isn't priced outrageously for the value you're getting. As far as the negatives, enough people have already pointed them out so I'm going to focus on what to buy instead...

WHAT TYPE OF BAG ARE YOU LOOKING FOR?

FULLY PADDED WITH ROOM FOR ACCESSORIES: if you want a bag w/ good protective padding, that has room for an extra battery and CF card and has a neck/shoulder strap, you should seriously think about a LowePro. After spending countless hours on Canon message boards, I can't begin to count the number of times people recommended these good looking, sturdy construction and a very good value. You can find many of their models on amazon but check out their website, and specifically the D-series and Z-series bags.

BELT CLIP CASE: while the PSC-30 fits the minimum requirements here (it clips to your belt), many of LowePro's models allow for clipping to the belt and are still very compact (and btw, no I'm not a LowePro employee read on...)

FORMFITTING SLIMLINE: by definition, these aren't going to provide a lot of impact protection, simply weather/scratch protection. so, having said that, for the ultimate in slimline cases, I'd go with Canon's SC-PS900 specifically designed for the S-series Powershots. This case is made of a neoprene-like material that pound for pound probably provides a good deal of impact protection, form fits the S30/40/45/50 perfectly with just enough room for a spare battery (w/o the little battery tray) and the camera wrist strap attached to the camera, looks cool as heck and has the all-important red Canon logo displayed on the front. But wait...they don't sell them in the US! Huh? You can get them in Europe, Asia and even Canada, but for some strange reason Canon is not allowing US retailers to sell them sounds like a payoff from the camera bag manufacturers or something else sinister. For those in the US, the cheapest way to get it is through Canadian photo retailers (try Harry's or Vistek). No doubt it will run you more than the PSC, but I guess you get what you pay for.

Full disclosure: I have absolutely no affiliation with LowePro, but I did end up getting the SC-PS900 from a Canadian retailer and have been very happy with it.

Best Deals for Canon Soft Leather Case for Powershot S30, S40, S45, S50, S60, S70

Othr than the Canon brandname, the case is not a good one: (i) not enough protection, (ii) doesn't cover the whole camera, (iii) no room even for a single accessory (such as extra memory, let alone an extra batter). It's not worth it given that price. Well, if it's 5 bucks, I will have it just for the Canon-brand showoff....

Get a Lowepro Z10 instead. BestBuy sells it for $.... It (i) fits my S45 perfectly, (ii) gives a much better protection for the camera, (iii) looks really cool, not bulky at all, (iv) has extra front (extendible) pocket for accessories; (v) has belt strap and shoulder strap. Finally, it's waterproof.

Honest reviews on Canon Soft Leather Case for Powershot S30, S40, S45, S50, S60, S70

I agree with the other negative reviews of this case: it's too expensive for what you get, it offers virtually no padding/protection and, in fact, endangers rather than protects the camera because the case is made of very slick leather & is difficult to hang onto. The case tends to slip out of the hand easily, like a wet bar of soap! Unlike the camera it's intended to hold, this case is not a well conceived product. If you use it, be sure to have the camera's strap attached to your wrist so the camera doesn't hit the ground when it slips out of your hand; trust me: the slippery case will definitely cause you to drop the camera sooner or later (probably sooner).

I bought this case a year ago on Amazon, and I haven't used it very much. It is very poorly made. I had it on my belt a few days ago, the belt strap came off (threads unraveled) and the case with camera went flying to the pavement. Luckily, the camera survived. The top row of threads came off, and bottom row was very loose.
