This case is ok if you want a simple case that just (barely) fits the Nikon Coolpix L20 camera. It will keep it from getting scratched in your purse or whatever. It has a velcro closure that looks like it will eventually pull loose if I keep opening and closing it. It has a belt loop on the back if you're into that. There is NO room to put anything else in the case. Not even spare batteries.

I like the color (navy blue) and it says Nikon Coolpix on the front. I plan to purchase a different camera bag that can accommodate the USB cord and spare batteries. It's a good case if you're looking for simplicity and don't need extra storage space.

Its very cool but too small for my preferences, it only fits on the camera, you cant carry chargers, nor aditional batteries or cables, it can be used just for protecting your camera.

The case fits my Nikon L18 like a glove and the blue color matches my blue camera nicely. I like the way the neoprene offers a spongy protection but is soft and cozy and won't scratch the camera surface.

If I could recommend improvements, I would like it to have a reinforced patch inside the flap so that the fabric won't wear over time rubbing against the metal wrist strap loop. It would also be nice if the belt loop had a Velcro or snap fastener so you don't have to remove your belt to put it on.

Overall, an excellent choice for a pocket camera and I would purchase it again.

I have owned this case for approximately 3 years. It has been on numerous trips in the back of a Jeep on desert roads in Arizona, New Mexico, Texas, and especially Utah. It has been in the rain, snow, and sand and has never leaked or failed in any way. I try to take care of my gear but there are times when it receives rough treatment. Like all Pelican Products this case performs just as the company claims it will. It is a bit pricey I suppose but I have in the past bought and replaced cheaper knock-offs and don't plan to replace this one. There are relatively few companies any more that make products that perform as they claim. This is one of them. A top quality product with an iron-clad guarantee.

I used two of these on my bike for rear panniers and they are great. Lockable, easily mountable, and highly visible for mobile use. I think these are great. They are a bit expensive. They are more secure than most panniers and they can be mounted to almost any rear rack with a few u-bolts available at any home depot. They are theft deterrent and I can mount a rear led light to it with velcro making it very easy to see. Easily drillable too.

This case seems very sturdy, with good latches. I ordered a second case of this type because of the quality. This will hold files such as tax forms. It is waterproof. The lips/flanges of this case seem much more durable than those on Pelican's "Storm" case series, which have a nicer latch mechanism. Overall I rate the Pelican 1430 case a 4.7 (out of 5.0).

I bought this case (in black) for my Fujifilm X-E1 after a great deal of research and after having read nothing but glowing reviews. One of the biggest reasons I bought it is that Gariz's advertising says you can open the battery door and remove the battery and SD card without removing the case. In reality, however, there is a round, black plastic base where the ring that secures the case to the tripod mount meets the body of the camera. This base protrudes slightly over the edge of the access area Gariz left for the battery door, and it's enough to prevent the battery door from opening all the way. In order to remove the battery and/or the SD card, therefore, one would have to unscrew the silver ring from the tripod mount every single time, then screw it back in when the battery and/or card have been replaced. That's basically the same amount of effort it would take to remove the case, since the ring is the only thing securing the case to the camera.

I purchased this case from an eBay vendor who advised me that s/he is the first North American representative of Gariz. S/he examined several other cases, and they were all built the same way. S/he has removed the eBay listing as a result of my experience, and has contacted Gariz to advise them of this issue. I'm hoping Gariz will redesign the ring. The quality of the case is beautiful, and I really like the fact that the case moves the tripod mount over and away from the battery door; it would therefore be possible to keep a tripod ball on the camera all the time and still be able to access the battery door.... IF, that is, the ring were designed properly. As it is now, however, it's a deal breaker for me.

The leather quality seems to be very nice but time will tell how it holds up. Fit and finish are excellent. Complaints about the case screw I think are overstated. It's not a problem to move it ever so slightly to open the battery door. I was hoping the grip was a little more prominent and/or a little more "grippy". The leather is nice and smooth (good) but a little hard to hang onto (not as good) for the grip. I like the heavy duty, light weight baseplate but the hole in the baseplate for battery access is a bit bothersome to me. I would have preferred a hinged door to help keep dirt and whatever out. Price is what I would consider a little high but it's made nicely. Overall, I'm happy with the case.

I bought this product to use with the Lowepro Topload Zoom 1 Camera Bag, and it works incredibly well. I do a lot of hiking that often includes periods of rock scrambling. I wanted to have my camera ready at a moment's notice, yet be safe from bumping up against rocky surfaces. With the chest harness attached, my camera fits snug against my stomach, and my hands are free to grab onto rocky surfaces. I have even used the chest harness to keep my camera from swaying while I've climbed into slot canyons. I highly recommend this product.

I've found that the camera is most stable when the waist belt is hooked onto the top of the camera bag and the shoulder belts are attached to the bottom of the bag the vendor's photo shows the opposite attachment.

I use this with a topload zoom all-weather bag, and this harness keeps the bag stable, so I can lean completely forward (flat) or jog at a slow gallop. A nice feature of strap is that when you put it on, the back has a sown strap patch which permanently ties together all straps, and allows you to [loop] hang strap from your neck. This makes it very easy to put on as you don't have to rest bag on a table, etc. while you strap it in. My only issue with bag is that the D-Ring clips (which mount to your bag) are made out of plastic, and may break. But for the price, I'm not going to worry much. So 4-star because of the plastic clips, but other than that a nice 5-star product.

I own a Nikon D80 and I usually go out with 2 lenses at any time. I purchased the topload zoom 2 along with the harness.

I got this for when I go hiking to use it with the chest harness and a backpack at the same time. While the harness is not that easy to put on the first time, the combo topload + harness is so convenient. It does not impair your capacity to carry other hiking related stuff, you don't have to miss all these incredible shots because you can just grab your camera whenever. And you do not need to kill your neck keeping your camera out all the time either. More importantly, this is a nice way to equalize the weight of your equipment when Hiking.

Some reviewers mention that the straps were not too conveniently located and could conflict with your backpack straps. If your backpack is well conceived, that's probably not a problem then.

Why 4 stars? The straps are fairly thin and not padded like on a backpack. This might hurt and not be too comfortable after long hours. Make sure you wear a pretty think shirt or a jacket.

The level of adjustments seems ok for a typical body size but I feel like either very small or very big people will have a hard time adjusting it. It will likely be too loose or too tight.

Overall, I like it!

I bought this item, so that I could have my DSLR accessible, while on long day trips, overnight trips, and backpack trips. I found that it doesn't work well with a backpack, because the straps conflict too much. I also found it to be quite uncomfortable, in conjunction with a backpack, because the straps are unforgiving.

I found that it doesn't work well with backpacks, but it might work well, when used with a lumbar pack. Even then, you might as well just use your bag's shoulder strap and attach the belt loop to your belt (cheap and easy).

If they made the lower straps, which go around your abdomen, out of a stretchy material, this might be a great product. Otherwise, I don't recommend it the idea is great, but it doesn't work the way I thought it would.

This holster accomplishes one goal: to carry my DSLR and a zoom lens without the encumbrance of a camera bag with a shoulder strap, or of a backpack that I must reach into whenever I need a camera tool. For this, I give the product an A-.

However, I also have two big complaints.

Lowepro designed this holster and harness for a man's body (e.g., a person without breasts). This is a huge disappointment and a frustrating problem. I can wear the harness (and I will), but because the ideal carrying position is slightly below chest level, it means that the holster and harness require a tighter fit, which makes it more cumbersome to open and close the holster. If I loosen the harness to move the holster farther down (say, to waist level), the straps slip up on my shoulders and create an uncomfortable non-fit for the harness.

Come on guys! Surely you can design a harness system that takes a woman's body into consideration and accommodates it. We, too, are photographers and would really appreciate it if you paid some attention to these details.

The other disappointment with this product is its lack of a wider belt loop opening that stretches across the entire width of the holster itself. As it is designed, the loop is functional, but with a larger DSLR/lens, the holster sags and pulls on the "belt", creating huge discomfort on my lower back and making the holster itself much harder to open and close easily. I have seen holsters that have belt loops that are as wide as the holster's width, that are also padded to keep the belt from being overly tight and uncomfortable on the waist/lower back.

I got this bag for day trips with my new Olympus Pen 4/3 camera. The camera with it's kit telephoto lens and shoulder strap fit snuggly inside the main compartment. On the front there is a pouch which nicely holds the "pancake lens" for the camera. Inside the top cover is a mesh ( see thru ) zippered pocket which is perfect for storing a couple of extra batteries and memory cards.

The top cover has a zippered closure plus the front flap on the top cover has the snap/latch which also covers the front zipper pocket for added safety. The bag is nicely padded so it protects the camera well. The handle on the top makes it easy to pick it up quickly without having to noodle around with the shoulder strap.

I have used the hard shell Lowel cases in the past and they are very heavy and sometimes unwieldy. If you are traveling a lot or shipping the cases, you need that rugged structure. If you are like me though and generally shoot smaller gigs closer to home, this compact and lightweight case is perfect. I have three 1K lights in this little bag and have enough room left over to squeeze in some gels, spare bulbs and a smaller RIFA soft light! This was a good way to organize a small light kit without spending a ton of money. I purchased the hard case in black for my Casio Exilim camera and it has worked out very well so far. It is compact enough to put in my purse without being too bulky and it is strong and sturdy enough to protect my camera from abuse. I was worried about getting the hard case because all my previous cases for past cameras have been made of the typical nylon, but I like this case much better. It feels much more durable. I like that there is a strap that hold the camera in place, even though there's not much room in there for it to move around since it is relatively small and perfect for my camera. I also like that it has a small pocket for additional memory cards, etc. Lastly, I like that the clip is optional; I probably won't use it unless I need to clip it onto something while I'm traveling and I can put the clip in the pocket inside so it's always available. Amazing how quick this hog can fill up. would prefer sleeve for tripod or monopod. straps don't work too well. I've used one of these full of medium format rock climbing so getting your stuff through a airport and on vacation should be no problem. If you are a wedding dog get a hard case with wheels.

This product was a complete letdown. Something I wouldn't have expected from something carrying the Leica name and price tag.

First I'll start with the positives. The case is made of very nice leather (or leather-like material). It feels good in the hand, and makes the very slippery body of the DLUX-6 much more manageable. It also has a nice firm raised area that acts as a grip, which greatly improves the handling of the camera, and negates the need to buy the optional handgrip accessory.

That is where the positive aspects of this case end for me. My first complaint about it, is despite it being labeled as black, and despite an email to Amazon customer service confirming it is black, the case is in fact a very light tan. It's not a deal breaker, color is not important to me at all, but it's annoying that the description is incorrect, and when I inquired about it, Amazon very confidently gave me absolutely false information. While I was able to easily overlook the color issue, there are far greater concerns I have with the item. For one, when the case is on, it blocks access to everything on the bottom of the camera. There is no way to access the battery or memory card, nor is there any way to use the tripod screw while the case is on. This wouldn't prove so mind boggling to me if the case were simple to install and remove, but it is not. To put the case on you have to remove any strap thats on the camera, this is because the case is made so it tapers toward the top, and holds itself to the body of the camera using its lugs. This becomes even more inconvenient if you use the lens cap tether included with the camera. Fiddling around with camera strap buckles has never been a favorite pastime of mine, but having to do it every single time I change the battery or change memory cards is absurd. For this reason alone, the case is completely useless to me, and will be returned.

If you are someone who is also put off by the inability to access the memory card, battery, and tripod mount, I suggest you check out the Gariz XS cases available on eBay. While they don't have a grip, and don't look as refined as the Leica product, they are very useable. Access to everything on the camera, and additional lugs on the bottom of the camera for using a shoulder strap make up for what the case lacks in style.

Like the grip, but it's a pain to have to pull it off to get to the battery compartment or to the side where cords fit into the camera for downloading purposes. The strap goes through the holes in the sides to hold the protector on, so to change the battery, you have to pull the case down, get it past the strap and then try to get the battery in while holding all of it.

The user design for this very well made and very protective case is poorly thought out. While the leather is thick and the inside padding a nice extra that I did not expect, the case has to be placed on the camera first and then the camera straps deftly threaded through the strap lugs of the camera to secure this case to the camera; otherwise this protective case will fall off. In theory this sounds good but when you want to remove the SD card or battery, you have to pry out the edges of the case and then slip it down the straps part way to access the SD card and/or battery. A pain in the a$$! This case would get five-stars and must-have recommendation if Leica put snap-on tabs to secure this case to the camera as they do with the protective half-case for the X2 camera. I can only offer a tepid recommendation to buy this protective case.

As most photographers do, I have a variety of cameras, lenses, bags, cases, straps, etc. I try all kinds of gear out and have settled on a few different configurations that are my "go to" setups for one purpose or another. For instance, the "go to" setup to shoot surfers at Rocky Point is totally different than the "go to" setup for weddings, or the "go to" setup for everyday point-and-shoot photography.

This half-case with the Leica is my "go to" setup when I'm not carrying a full camera bag with me and photography is an afterthought for the event--not the primary purpose of the event (for instance, if I'm bringing a camera along to a dinner out with friends, I take the Leica in this case with one spare battery in my pocket--if you're reading this review, you probably know the lux6 eats batteries). In this configuration, I use a wrist tether only.

This way, I can pull the left-hand side of the case off the body and away from the camera to get access to the battery/memory card door. I leave the right-hand (grip) side of the case essentially still connected to the camera with the wrist tether cord still connected. I don't use a lens cap because I have a UV lens cover over the "real" Leica glass. Configured in this way, I'm able to make battery changes (or memory card changes, if necessary) very easily.

The lux6 is such a tiny little camera that for someone with large bear claw hands (like me) a grip is a "must have" on the camera. The grip on this case is very functional and is also beautiful. It is perfect for protecting the camera from the normal bumps and rubs of being left on a table or chair during a dinner party, etc. The leather is attractive and the whole package with the red-dot camera is classy and attractive and the whole setup doesn't look out-of-place sitting on the table in a fine dining situation the way my full-frame Canon with auxiliary battery grip, flash and giant grey lens would look in the same setting.

When I use the lux6 in an event that is primarily photography-focused I use the Leica branded black-aluminum side grip that attaches to the camera using the tripod mount threads in the bottom of the camera body. That particular standalone grip is fantastic and gives great comfort and security on the camera and also contains a female-threaded access point for a tripod to mount to, unlike the leather half-case with grip which has no tripod mounting point. Similar to the leather half case, the black-aluminum side grip also blocks access to the bottom of the camera and requires removal before one can remove the memory card or battery.

All in, this is a great grip and protection device for a majority of the times I'm using the lux6.

Pretty finish, goes with my white camera but I don't like the bulkiness or the clip. U have to strap down camera inside with 2 Velcro straps u can't just drop it in easily unless u want it swishing around inside. Takes up a lot of room in purse.

Love this camera case. I was looking for a case that wouldn't be easily crushed and accidentally press the camera buttons. It's not going to withstand someone intentionally stomping on it, but it protected my camera from being knocked around in my backpack, dropping it, throwing it, etc. The clip on the side is also super handy to clip on the outside of my backpack so that I don't have to dig around to find my camera.

There is a little mesh area on one side (inside) of the case where you can fit an extra battery or memory card for your camera and also velcro straps to hold your camera in place if you wanted. I personally didn't really use the velcro straps very much and might cut them out of the case. All in all, I am super impressed with this camera case.

this case is great protection for my camera, with it's hard (not obnoxiously so) exterior and soft innards. Has pouch on either in-side that easily holds camera and cords. The inside is black, I may have make it in lighter color for my older eyes.

For the price, it's quite the deal. Silver color is nice too...not too metallic-ally, has a textured LOOK, not finish, it could be called 'whitish' ?
