I am actually not using the Arriba cases for audio gear, but rather for amateur radio equipment. It turns out that this particular case is a very nice fit for an Elecraft KX3 transceiver and minimal accessories. I bought several for other little things I wanted to transport.

I thought I was getting a great deal; purchasing a camera bag at this price. When I got the bag, my camera and accessories fit perfectly. But, I carried the bag around for less than an hour and the strap tore right off of the sides of the bag. I checked to make sure it was not something I had done, and realized that the corners of the strap were sewn very poorly to the sides of the bag. I would not recommend that anyone purchase this item.

This is a great bag. It fits the camera and new film as described....however if you are a guy you may get made fun of for your new purse.

The hard top and bottom was a great feature.....hard sides would be even better but for $20 its a killer bargin.

The one and only review on this bag was enough to get me to purchase it for myself. I was a little worried with it coming out of China, but I received my bag in less than a week and I am in love with it! The canvas looks great, it's soft and it comes with two dividers so you can either hold your camera and a lens or three pockets for lenses if you like. There's plenty of pockets inside the bag and outside, so I can put my accessories, extra batteries, SD cards, charger and notebook in it together. I like the colors because they're neutral and go with almost anything I wear. The bag will not be as flat once you put your equipment inside of it, but it totally works for my Canon T3i and I have suggested this product to many friends now.

Considering how far the bag was traveling, I was impressed how quickly it arrived (ordered it on Monday and arrived on Friday that week). The bag looked great -sturdy, very comfortable to wear with nice padding on the wide strap, and best of all, looks nothing like a conventional camera bag but more like a nice looking purses. In fact, no one realized that it was a camera bag when I wore it and was quite surprised to know that I had my DSLR in there! It's a perfect bag if you want to take your camera everywhere for the perfect photo op, but don't want to lug around an ugly and bulky camera bag in addition to your normal purse. Like the other reviewers, I will be recommending this bag to all my friends!

FYI, I have a Nikon D90 and it fit everything from prime lenses to 24-70mm lens.

Aside from the unnecessary amount of packaging and padding for the shipment of a canvas bag, all is fantastic. Nice color, seems to be well made and isn't easily identifiable as a camera bag. Bear in mind there are significant gaps between the zipper strap and the interior compartment as well as every pocket flap where loads of spills can get in; ideal for casual dry walkabouts. This said, there is a thin layer of what appears to be water resistant material lining the bag; what isn't watertight is the actual construction of the pocketsthough no such claims were made by the manufacturer. While on the small side, this pack comfortably fits my nikon d5100 with attached 18-55 and 55-300 with pockets for small items. Not meant for carrying tripods, tulips, notebooks, etc. Small pack for casual excursions. All together; if it suits your purpose technically, it's a great bag.

I love this bag! Perfect for my DSLR with an "all purpose" 18-200mm lens attached. You know, roaming around the town, traveling, etc and you don't want to carry a lot. This is great. Room for extra batteries, a couple filters, and I use the side pockets for my wallet and phone, so no need for a purse. Plus, this is really cute and I get lots of compliments. I came across this case while I was shopping on Amazon for a G-Technology G-DRIVE mini external hard disk drive (G-DRIVE mini 0G02131 750 GB External Hard Drive). I put the hard drive in my shopping cart and was recommended the Pelican 1020 Micro Case. Based on another reviewer's suggestion, I purchased the case just to see how drive would fit inside. As it turns out, this case is a perfect fit. It fits a G-DRIVE mini either in a thin plastic bag (such as the one it ships in) or bare along with any ONE of the included cables. The fit is extraordinary. When inside of the case, the drive is perfectly flush with the lower rubberized compartment. This leaves the entire inner space of the lid available for one of the included coiled cables (9-pin to 9-pin FireWire, 6-pin to 9-pin FireWire or Mini-B to Type A USB).

I would consider this a must get accessory for a G-DRIVE mini as the drive is made to be portable and Pelican makes some of the best ruggedized cases available.

This case is freikn great. I use it primarily for my G-tech mini and one wire and it fits so perfect I thought that this case was meant for the hard drive. It also serves good for some of my other small things that I want to keep in a secure container in my backpack IE: flashlight,knife, keys, and a wallet or phone not both wallet and phone though. So if you want an awesome heavy duty box any of the pelican cases will meet your needs.

I picked up a Petrol PC300 when the strap on my Genus GL-GEN1000 Backpack began to fray and separate at the right shoulder seam. The Petrol offers instant advantages over the Genus, including being less than half the weight of the larger bag (5.6 pounds vs a back-breaking 11.8) and a form factor that was is more taped to the human wearing it. I shoot in Washington, D.C. and take my bags frequently onto public transportation, so this is a vast improvement. The Petrol is even small enough to fit in a plane's overheard compartment, which I feel a lot more comfortable about than handing my entire video rig over to the roulette wheel of baggage arrival.

And despite the reduced size, the inside of the Petrol is better laid out and more usable than the Genus. I find I can fit the same gear in more or less the same arrangement, though a tad more snug, but everything just seems laid out better. This is especially true with the compartment made to cradle your camera snugly in the center of the bag; a thick Velcro thick strap permanently attached across the middle of the chamber accomplishes this very well. And the smaller removable velcro walls are easy to shift around to customize the kit any way you require. Two thin pockets line the inside of the bag lip. The smaller top pocket is clear and the perfect size for an iPad (though it offers basic no protection). The second has a zipper and folded Velcro enclosure and might be able to hold a Macbook Air (again, with absolutely no protection). The Genus offered ample laptop security (enough to barely fit my 17" Macbook Pro from 2008) as well as a third smaller pocket. You only get the bare basics with the Petrol.

There are two deep side pockets (with very narrow, unyielding openings) and matching bungee cords to latch for tripods and other gear to the outside of the bag...and that's it. No outside small pockets for batteries or tapes, no business card pocket or keychain, not even a cell phone pouch (though I found I could swipe the one from my Genus and it fit around the straps of the Petrol just fine). There is a pen holder attached to one of the removable inner walls, but only on one of them, and I found it purely by accident.

The main straps and moulded back handle are quite sturdy, but the support straps across the chest and waist are cheap, light plastic and the shoulder straps a tendency to shift dramatically an inch or so when putting the bag on or off, but stay attached firmly once worn. Still, it's just enough to be slightly alarming when you have $5000 strapped to your back. When properly strapped on, the bag is very comfortable to wear. The 6lbs between the Petrol and the Genus is the largest difference, but the way the smaller bag curves more to fit the back and shoulders is also a huge plus. I never had a feeling for how much space it took up behind me, always underestimating it.

The sacrifices for size and weight begin at the bottom of the Petrol bag, which has no additional protection or stability, making it impossible to stand the bag upright. Worse is how the bag opens face-down so that the narrower, rounded front of the bag is in contact with the surface, making the kit less stable when open than the Janus. And while the nylon-ballistic pockets on the outside of the bag are strong they have no give, so they aren't even large enough to hold a bottle of water.

For me, the sacrifices are worth it. I need my bag to stay on my back almost all the time, as I frequently shoot in nightclubs and outside venues that may view a stray bag with alarm. But if you need to regularly carry anything more than a small kit and an iPad with you, I'd look at a different bag.

Case did not come with any info and since it had alot of snaps and extra parts, it seems a short informational insert would have been provided. I found that it didn't fit the camera well without a lot of manipulation very tight fit. The base appears to be something you would leave in place at all times. Maybe I did not read all of the details provided before I purchased, but I hate to say that I will probably send this back. Not my style.

This case is definitely only for Nikon COOLPIX P300. I have a liking for leather cases. But, I had to return it. There is no free space with the camera inside it, like no room at all. You also have to be a little careful while using this case and will have to explain to others how it works. It's not a straightforward thing. I didn't want something that was complicated in any way. It looks nice though.

I got the 'Case Logic DCB-302' case for my camera instead. It's not the best case for P300 but people should check it out.

I bought this case to protect my Olympus 850 SW and it fits perfectly. It has a velcro strap that holds your camera in place when you open which is nice. Also it has a little net pocket on the opposite side which is great to keep extra batteries, memory cards in etc. It also has a c clip which is great to clip to your belt, pocketbook, or anywhere else you'd like. Overall I am very impressed with the quality of this item for the price. I would definitely recommend it highly to anyone looking for the perfect inexpensive carrying case.

this little pouch is VERY small. i bought it for my canon sd1000. it is a VERY tight fit so i opted not to use this case to hold the camera. it wont fit my 58mm lens filters either.

i'm still trying to figure out what i want to use this for but the back features a velcro strap system, similar to lowepro's system, so it is versatile enough for me to find a use for it eventually.

the pouch is well built and i purchased it for a little over $5, so i dont feel too bad about the purchase.

I use this case with my Olympus Tough-8000. I have a spare Li-50B battery for my camera, which fits in the small velcro pocket. I also use a micro-SD card in my camera, and have a micro-SD to USB card reader, which fits securely in the elastic/mesh pocket. At first, I had concerns that either the battery or the card reader would slip out and get lost, but both remain very secure. The large pocket for your camera allows you to slide the camera in and out very easily. The material in this main compartment is really high quality, it's very soft and well padded (though supposedly my camera will survive most anything!). I toss this bag with my camera, battery, and card reader into my pack or purse or wherever, and don't worry about any of it. This bag is a great size, is well constructed, and looks great. The shoulder strap is very adjustable, so you can carry it completely across your body or on one shoulder, or there's a belt-loop. The rain cover is a great extra feature too, though I haven't gotten to actually test the water-resistance/proof of it. I love this bag, it is much more protective than a similar bag I used to use, more sturdy, more reliable, and better looking for pretty much the same price.

This case is excellent. You feel that the camera is safe in there, and there's enough space for a spare battery and SDHC card.

I have a Lumix LX3 camera and this case is just a little bit tight. The only problem with this case, is that you need some time to take the camera out of the case and vice-versa. When you are storing the camera, you need to fold and adjust the strap of the camera properly into the case, so you can close it. It's excellent when you are carrying your camera around, but not that practical when you need your camera a lot. Sometimes I don't take a photo because I'm too lazy to deal with the trouble of taking the camera out and store it back again.

Just bought a Sony DSC-RX100 and spent ridiculous amount of time comparing numerous camera cases both in-store and online. Bought the Apex 30 because of Lowepro reputation (owned other Lowepro cases in past) and what appeared to be rugged construction. Having received the case I can only rate it as OK.

Pro:

Good size to comfortably fit RX-100, couple of batteries, SD card, maybe a filter later.

Well built, but nothing that special. Like rubber bumper on bottom in case of drop.

Con:

Zipper not that smooth. Also zipper catches on orange fold at internal pocket often.

Cumbersome design where second pocket is internal to same pocket as camera. 99% of time you just need your camera.. but 100% of time you need to move internal flap out of way to reach camera makes camera compartment cluttered. Better to have a second zippered pocket for accessories.

Thin shoulder strap seems cheap and I assume uncomfortable after long day of dragging camera around.

Construction really not that much more rugged than other cases (other than rubber bumper).

Hard to clip shoulder strap to rubber band type side attachments.

Not bad but not as good as I expected.

After much research and comparisons, I felt the Case Logic DCB-302 case (http://www.amazon.com/Case-Logic-DCB-302-Compact-Camera/dp/B003F7DWH8/ref=cm_cr_pr_product_top) was the clear winner for the Sony RX-100. Surprised this case was better in design, construction and appearance than others from Lowepro, Sony etc but that is what I found.

We just received the camera case and my husband really likes the look and the fact that it is not a heavy, cumbersome camera case. I like the idea of having zippered pockets (3 of them) on the outside of the bag. With the size of the Fuji HS0EXR, we had to remove all the compartment dividers, but that is fine. There is still room for our point and shoot in its case if we want to take that along as well.
