The Grizzly bean bag really can't be beat for the money. I took it for a weeklong trip along the west coast of FL and put it through some tough terrain including: sand, salt water, and mud. At the end of the day it held up to everything and cleaned up nicely. I was looking for a good half case for my X10 and came across the JB product. The case is terrific perfect fit with a stainless screw (tripod socket) to hold it on. The texture is firm but very grippy and the material is thick enough to provide substantial protection to the bottom and sides. Right where your hand would wear camera finish over time is where the case protects solidly. There is an opening for the card and battery door on the bottom and a little LCD bumper at the base of the LCD. Service and support were excellent from JB and I'd highly recommend both JB Camera Designs and this case. Outstanding product!

I was looking for a half-case for my new Fujifilm X20 and was resistant to the idea of a "plastic" half-case. I even made an inquiry with J.B. designs about the potential of the product being slippery in my hand. I received a prompt response that the texture of the material was designed to assist the grip. Of course I'm never going to handle the camera without a neck or wrist strap. Nobody wants a "wet bar of soap" in their hand when trying to take photos. Thankfully the texture does assist greatly. I don't see the material being a problem.

Now for the best part. The Grip Case feels great in my hand, better than the naked X20, and frankly better than a leather and metal bottomed half case from a well known competitor. I immediately noticed that the weight of the camera was not uncomfortable on the heel of the palm of my right hand. This comfort is due to the fact the bottom right hand side of the case is nicely rounded, unlike my leather case and metal bottomed half-case.

Now I have small hands and your experience could be different. But for me the Grip Case had a better fit on the camera's sides, and the front grip not flex like the leather case did Another plus is that there is a little plastic bump out under the LCD screen that gives the camera a little more stability. I think the company claims this helps protect the LCD should the camera be placed on its back on a flat surface.

I should add that I do use a Thumbs Up brand thumb rest that fits into the flash hot shoe of the X20, as well as a Thumbs Up soft shutter release button. The combination of these add-ons makes the camera a joy to shoot. They work in concert. Not that the naked X20 is difficult to hold or operate.

Minor cons:

Out of the box the half-case smells like a petroleum product. I'm sure it will wear off.

I also wonder how well the brass colored (provided) tripod adapter will work as it does not fit flush with the bottom of the camera. I suppose on a light weight, fixed lens camera this probably won't matter. There is a flat head screw that fits flush if you just want the keep the half-case secured the camera. A shiny penny is thoughtfully included. Perhaps it is also a discount ;)

I was bound and determined that this retro-styled X20 deserved and needed leather. I do love the feel, smell and look of leather, but as a practical matter this just works better in my hand than the much more expensive case I purchased before the J.B. Camera Designs case was put to work.

This is an unusual but incredibly useful half-case for the Fuji X10 that actually exceeded my expectations. I had expected something on the soft side, but in fact this bottom-covering protector is perfectly molded and cured to a hard, durable bottom cover for the X10 that really has no equal. The fit and finish are both superb. Most important, it does the job it's supposed to do, ie protect the bottom surface of the camera as well as, to a certain extent, the LCD. Remarkably, this snug-fitting, good-looking accessory gives you easy access to the battery & SD card. Nice! The grip portion gives the X10 a more substantial feel that the camera alone, and there's a robust, stainless screw for affixing the protector to the camera's tripod socket, keeping the protector in place no matter what. The company even provides a "good luck" penny for turning the screw! I can only hope that the company will be making similar protector products for my larger DSLRs like my 5D, 40D and t3i. I wouldn't hesitate one minute to purchase them if they were available.

I thought I was getting a great deal; purchasing a camera bag at this price. When I got the bag, my camera and accessories fit perfectly. But, I carried the bag around for less than an hour and the strap tore right off of the sides of the bag. I checked to make sure it was not something I had done, and realized that the corners of the strap were sewn very poorly to the sides of the bag. I would not recommend that anyone purchase this item.

This is a great bag. It fits the camera and new film as described....however if you are a guy you may get made fun of for your new purse.

The hard top and bottom was a great feature.....hard sides would be even better but for $20 its a killer bargin.

I love these camera bags. In fact, I bought 2 different sizes (small and medium). They're fashionable, durable and useful and don't look like the old box style camera bags. There is plenty of padding to protect your camera and gear. The padding is also moveable so you can customize the bag to suit your needs. I can fit my camera (lens attached) and 2-3 additional lenses in this small bag along with additional camera accessories such as extra batteries, lens cleaner, lens caps and filters. There's also a variety of pockets for stuff like cell phone, business cards, car keys, wallet and sunglasses. It even comes with an additional removable small pouch. I love the look of this bag, it's construction and the padding it provides. But I didn't like using it during my vacation for travel photography. The shoulder straps don't stay on securely, they slide off. The long, messenger style strap is very wide and stiff, rather uncomfortable to use. Having the ample width of it under my arm during a long day of sightseeing was really uncomfortable. I wish I'd gotten a backpack style bag instead for travel.

This bag would be good if you are just using it about town to do photography from a car or at events where you can set it down. Not good for active vacations where you are far from your hotel room or car. I did feel that it provided excellent protection of my gear.

I bought this bag because I wanted a camera bag that looked more like a purse, and would allow me to carry my "purse junk" as well as my camera and a couple lenses.

It definitely fits all of the stuff I need. I was able to easily fit a Nikon D5000 with attached 18-50 lens, an extra 35mm lens, and a huge 70-200 lens into the bag. However, the boxy shape of the bag makes it difficult to carry. It sticks out from the body quite a bit, and I found it to be uncomfortable.

That being said, it's very sturdy, very well made, and kept my gear well protected! The yellow color will get dirty from wear, and is difficult to clean.

I like this bag because I can fit my Canon 40D with 100-400 lens, hood reversed, in the bag and I still have room for a few small things like cards, batteries etc. It's roomier than it looks. It's well made. I like the top zipper closure as you can do it with one hand. There are plenty of little pockets to store things. The only thing is that I find it to be heavy before I put anything in to it and once the camera is in it is quite heavy.

The bag, unfortunately, did not live up to my expectations. It looks nice on the outside because I really wanted a camera bag that would hide my DSLR. But the inside was of really poor quality, ugly stitching and misaligned pads among other things.

This is a well-made item but the front is too tight to fit an E-P3 with any but the smallest lens attached. For example, it will not close when even a short Panasonic 20mm lens is mounted. It is far too small to fit an E-P3 with even a short kit lens. Best to avoid this item.

Had a so-called "premium-grade" leather cell phone case break this spring, as so many of them do after about 12 to 18 months. It had cost about $30 in a local mall store, where I bought it because another case had broken and sent my phone crashing to the concrete floor. And as usual, in both cases is was the spring clip on the back that gave out.

This time I didn't want to make the same mistake, so I started searching here... then remembered that some of the camera bag makers do make cell phone cases. Last fall I had purchased and reviewed a Tamrac 3536 Express 6 Camera Bag, a product that has proven to be even better than I could have expected, so I did a search and found this Tamrac 3573 Express Phone Case (Black), which looked promising. Couldn't find much more info other than what is here in the product description, but feeling good about my experience with Tamrac's quality, decided to give it a try. The price was also good, but I did wonder just how my phone would fit within its elastic sides.

When it arrived a few days later, I took my already-battered Sanyo VI-2300 phone and slipped it into the new case. The fit was perfect, and in the case it looked exactly as pictured here. It not only has a well-stitched belt loop, but there's a Velcro attachment system allows it to be attached to a camera bag strap... or to a woman's purse strap. The black ultra-suede outer shell has held up well, and yes, it does match my camera bag, allowing it to blend in quite well. The magnetic snap closure work well, and not once has it come undone.

Since I purchased this case, I replaced the phone, and it fits perfectly as well. Below you'll find the dimension of the two phones that have been used with this case in case you wondered if yours might fit, though the case will hold a much larger phone than these.

I misunderstood the size of this case. It does not fit iphone or Blackberry size devices, it actually only fits traditional type (that is, smaller) cell phones not the larger smart phones. That may be my own fault for not researching the case I took the product description of 'fits most popular mobile phones' a bit too literally. It's a nicely made case, but if you own a smartphone this case will not fit it.

I originally purchased this case while on a cruise ship last October after my leather insulin pump carrying case fell apart. I was surprised by the perfect fit for both the Medtronic 712/723 insulin pumps and infusion cable given my desperate situation. After using the first case for over five months of very active as well as dress use, it is held up extremely well and no doubt, has been the best case for my insulin pump. I have since ordered three more due to the perfect size, durability and price as a type I diabetic on the insulin pump. The cost difference from specifically designed insulin pump belt clips is ridiculous. Possibly useful for other must carry medical devices with or without an insertion tube.

You get what you pay for with this bag. It's not made out of the best materials nor do I think it will hold up for years to come, but for the price it will do. The stitching on the bag overlapped in the back due to poor craftsmanship, but was little concern to me because it's an insignificant flaw. The button to open the bag is magnetic and doesn't seem very sturdy so I would probably forget going on any roller coasters with this bag... ;)

The inside has a removable foam lining that I think will do the job it's needed for (protecting a camera). There is enough room to fit my canon rebel t5i plus lens. Anything else might be pushing it...

Overall I think for the price I would definitely recommend it, but know that if you are looking for something that is going to last you for years to come, you may want to look into more expensive options that are going to have higher quality materials. I use my camera in my house to film youtube videos so I don't need much protection unless for the rare occasion I want to take some photos at events (very non professional). If you are frequently using this camera as a professional photographer (which I'm assuming durability is a key concern) I again suggest looking into better options.

Overall though it's a cute bag for girls who want a cheaper bag for occasional use :)

I don't actually use this for a camera bag, I just wanted a bag with decent size room. The included padded carrying pouch is removable which provides a little more in the bag. The bag strap is long, looks nice and easily adjustable.

Bag is a copper shade of brown which is a lighter color than I expected. The flap that the buckle detail is attached to can swivel, so unfortunately the buckle can be crooked when locked in. Be wary of bends in the PU leather material. The bag I received had a bend on one of the inside flaps, so the front on one side of the bag looks caved in.

This is simply the best holder for small Canon cameras like my Power Shot A2300 or any of the power shot cameras. I used to haul around a SLR but those days are gone as I just want a quality photo out of something small. The case has plenty of padding and is easy to clip to your belt and us the carabineer to double clip to a belt loop. You can also wear it around your neck with the provided loop.
