Discount Grip Case for Fuji X10 - Black - Made in USA by J.B. Camera Designs

Grip Case for Fuji X10 - Black - Made in USA by J.B. Camera Designs
Customer Ratings: 5 stars

I was looking for a good half case for my X10 and came across the JB product. The case is terrific perfect fit with a stainless screw (tripod socket) to hold it on. The texture is firm but very grippy and the material is thick enough to provide substantial protection to the bottom and sides. Right where your hand would wear camera finish over time is where the case protects solidly. There is an opening for the card and battery door on the bottom and a little LCD bumper at the base of the LCD. Service and support were excellent from JB and I'd highly recommend both JB Camera Designs and this case. Outstanding product!

Click Here For Most Helpful Customer Reviews >>

I was looking for a half-case for my new Fujifilm X20 and was resistant to the idea of a "plastic" half-case. I even made an inquiry with J.B. designs about the potential of the product being slippery in my hand. I received a prompt response that the texture of the material was designed to assist the grip. Of course I'm never going to handle the camera without a neck or wrist strap. Nobody wants a "wet bar of soap" in their hand when trying to take photos. Thankfully the texture does assist greatly. I don't see the material being a problem.

Now for the best part. The Grip Case feels great in my hand, better than the naked X20, and frankly better than a leather and metal bottomed half case from a well known competitor. I immediately noticed that the weight of the camera was not uncomfortable on the heel of the palm of my right hand. This comfort is due to the fact the bottom right hand side of the case is nicely rounded, unlike my leather case and metal bottomed half-case.

Now I have small hands and your experience could be different. But for me the Grip Case had a better fit on the camera's sides, and the front grip not flex like the leather case did Another plus is that there is a little plastic bump out under the LCD screen that gives the camera a little more stability. I think the company claims this helps protect the LCD should the camera be placed on its back on a flat surface.

I should add that I do use a Thumbs Up brand thumb rest that fits into the flash hot shoe of the X20, as well as a Thumbs Up soft shutter release button. The combination of these add-ons makes the camera a joy to shoot. They work in concert. Not that the naked X20 is difficult to hold or operate.

Minor cons:

Out of the box the half-case smells like a petroleum product. I'm sure it will wear off.

I also wonder how well the brass colored (provided) tripod adapter will work as it does not fit flush with the bottom of the camera. I suppose on a light weight, fixed lens camera this probably won't matter. There is a flat head screw that fits flush if you just want the keep the half-case secured the camera. A shiny penny is thoughtfully included. Perhaps it is also a discount ;)

I was bound and determined that this retro-styled X20 deserved and needed leather. I do love the feel, smell and look of leather, but as a practical matter this just works better in my hand than the much more expensive case I purchased before the J.B. Camera Designs case was put to work.

Best Deals for Grip Case for Fuji X10 - Black - Made in USA by J.B. Camera Designs

This is an unusual but incredibly useful half-case for the Fuji X10 that actually exceeded my expectations. I had expected something on the soft side, but in fact this bottom-covering protector is perfectly molded and cured to a hard, durable bottom cover for the X10 that really has no equal. The fit and finish are both superb. Most important, it does the job it's supposed to do, ie protect the bottom surface of the camera as well as, to a certain extent, the LCD. Remarkably, this snug-fitting, good-looking accessory gives you easy access to the battery & SD card. Nice! The grip portion gives the X10 a more substantial feel that the camera alone, and there's a robust, stainless screw for affixing the protector to the camera's tripod socket, keeping the protector in place no matter what. The company even provides a "good luck" penny for turning the screw! I can only hope that the company will be making similar protector products for my larger DSLRs like my 5D, 40D and t3i. I wouldn't hesitate one minute to purchase them if they were available.

Honest reviews on Grip Case for Fuji X10 - Black - Made in USA by J.B. Camera Designs

Nice fit. Very good material. Gives extra grip on the x10. Tripod screw at the bottom, too long and protruded though. Could have been s little shorter. All else is OK.

The picture and dimensions are incorrect. It is a soft case but is ribbed horizontally and mine came in blue. The correct dimensions are 2.9"x4.2"x1.8" (WxHxD).

It also fits the Fujifilm v10 camera which I bought it for. Amazon has a different case built specifically for the v10 but it costs more and might be nicer based on that picture. I am keeping this one, it is a perfect fit.

Click Here For Most Helpful Customer Reviews >>

The black case in the picture is the SC-FXA03, the SC-FXA04 is blue and has horizontal ribs. I have purchased the blue case for many of my Fuji cameras, it also fits the new AX200 Fujifilm FinePix AX200 12 MP Digital Camera with 5x Wide Angle Optical Zoom and 2.7-Inch LCD (Black) in black and also in silver Fujifilm FinePix AX200 12 MP Digital Camera with 5x Wide Angle Optical Zoom and 2.7-Inch LCD (Silver).

This case fits many of the larger Fuji cameras due to the black elastic insert. The elastic holds its shape quite well over the years.

It has a Velcro closure and a belt loop in the back. It should fit a belt up to and including 2-1/4" wide.

Due to the top end of this case being somewhat open, except for the closure which folds over, I always try and prevent the possibility of accidentally pressing the shutter button while in my bag by inserting the end of the camera with the shutter button into the case first.

Be sure and check out my customer images underneath the main picture of the black case and you will see what you are REALLY getting if you order this.

Then a few days later I recieved another package from Amazon and I thought it was the black leather camera case, but NO, it was the same blue case!! I just want to warn anyone that the item may not be as pictured.

the case is nice. but the d lux 5 case is a very tight fit on the lense on the dlux 6. almost afraid to put it over lense for fear of messing something up. dont know why the d lux 5 case was sold in the package deal instead of the d lux 6 case. maybe the dlux 6 case fits better.

Perfect for my D-lux 5. Like others have pointed out some minor discolorization is present but honestly who cares?

It's a quality case that will protect your camera forever.

One thing I did do was use a leather conditioner (Coach Brand)to soften up the leather and now it has that broken in feel... Love this case!

It fits my Leica D-Lux 5 snugly. I like the magnetic clasp on the end to keep it shut. The over all look is stylish and a bit old timey, which I am a fan off. It looks good and works good. I figured since I bought the camera I always wanted, why not go all out and get a proper case for it as well? I am glad I made this purchase.

A luxury companion to your Leica D-Lux 5. Not a must have item but well worth the investment. There are many cases for you D-Lux 5, but I for one am happy with the purchase. The fine leather treatment is protective as well as convenient but I guess the main focus is on appearance. Shop around and compare if you can. I have also bought the automatic lense cap, and that makes the leather case a tight fit.Leica 18752 D-Lux 5 Leather Case with Wrist Strap, Brown

Once I received this case, I was so pleased to see how beautiful it really is. I was looking for something "young" and "fun" for my 12 year old daughter to carry around. This bag is perfect, love it! It has a great solid quality & I really like the fact that it doesn't have the Velcro strips running on the inside of the bag. Sometimes those strips seem to snag on your camera when pulling it in & out. Since the whole bag inside is like a soft felt, the dividers for your needs just cling to the material without the need for those Velcro strips. The pockets are good for accessories, I've got my T3i, 40mm & 18-55mm lenses in the main compartment along with the battery charger & manual. Not using any dividers, it's a nice snug fit with great protection. This bag has 3 models... 110, 120 & 140, be sure and check dimensions on all 3 models for your needs.

Canon PSC-75 Deluxe Soft Case for PowerShot S1 IS, S2 IS, and G6
Customer Ratings: 3.5 stars

It's advertised as being form fitting, and that it is. My Canon S2 IS barely fits into the case, and if I try to stuff the camera strap in too, it keeps popping open. The case does not come with a strap, only a loop I assume is intended so you can wear it on your belt. There is only a tiny pocket on the inside for extra memory cards, and as I said, the interior space is already limited. Although it is a nice looking case and seems to be of solid construction, I would advise against getting this case if you like to have space for extra batteries, memory cards, etc.

(2 weeks later)

I've recently bought the Case Logic TBC-4, and it's great for my Canon S2. The camera fits into the main compartment snugly, and it's got plenty of extra pockets for memory cards, batteries, or whatever. AND it comes with a strap. I'm sure there are other cases out there that would do the trick as well, but I've bought several other CaseLogic cases before for my camcorder and my old camera, so I stuck with CaseLogic. They're good, sturdy cases, and generally at a good price.

Click Here For Most Helpful Customer Reviews >>

I bought this case for my Canon S2 and I have to say that it fits the camera very well. I noticed some of the reviewers say that it is too small. I disagree, I think they used the case incorrectly. Many say that they try to stuff the neck strap that came with the camera inside the case! You're not supposed to stuff it in the case, you're supposed to leave it out so you can still put the camera around your neck while it's in the case. If you look carefully at the way the zippers are designed, you'll understand that the makers intended it to be used this way. I like that there's a little pocket inside for an extra SD card. This feature has been really useful because I just leave my extra 512mb sd card in that pocket just in case I run out of space on my 1gb SD card. So here's the overview of the pros and cons of this case for the Canon S2.

Pros:

1) Fits the Canon S2 perfect when used CORRECTLY.

2) Looks great and provides good protection for your camera.

3) Inside pocket for SD card is very cool.

4) Great design that lets you utilize your existing neck strap

on your camera.

5) The price for this quality of case is very good.

(my gf is still looking for a case like this for her Canon 20D... but they just don't make one that's of similar quality and affordable)

Cons:

1) I would've liked a small compartment for extra batteries. But I suppose most cases don't have battery storage.

Conclusion:

If you have a Canon S2, this case should work very well for you and protect your investment. It will allow you to just throw your camera in the trunk of your car with no worries about it gettting damaged during the trip. I would've given it 4.75 stars out of 5, instead of 4... if I could've.

Best Deals for Canon PSC-75 Deluxe Soft Case for PowerShot S1 IS, S2 IS, and G6

Most reviews here say that the bag is too small for the S2 IS. I have to refine this:

This bag is designed by Canon for its specific camera, the S2 IS. And yes, the camera fits in perfectly.

People complained that there is no strap come with it. Or they could not stuff the original strap (which came with the camera) in to the bag. Look, two negatives actually make it a positive. If you keep the strap with the camera and loop it over the lit of the bag, it is now the strap of the whole thing and you don't have to put the strap inside the bag. And I think that is what Canon Company meant.

Well, what I said above doesn't mean that I support this bag. Because beside the camera and the strap, you surely will have some lens, filters, batteries, charges, mini tripod... and now the bag becomes too small.

There are several alternatives. And one of the best alternative is Lowepro Edit 100, 110 or 120. They are perfect for S2 IS or other relatively large P&S cameras. They meant for camcorder, but they work. Lowepro Edit 100 is the smallest of the three and Lowepro Edit 120 is the largest. The small one will give you some extra room for batteries, filters, memory cards. The large one will give you plenty space for any accessories you have for your S2 (I'm talking about regular stuffs not professional lens, or professional mini tripod). I personally have the Lowepro Edit 120 and I can't be more happy.

Honest reviews on Canon PSC-75 Deluxe Soft Case for PowerShot S1 IS, S2 IS, and G6

The negative reviews of this camera case ignore the fundamental fact that is it a camera case and not a camera gadget bag. The camera fits snugly, as it should. It is meant to protect the camera from bumps and scratches, which its soft padding does nicely.

It has no strap; none is needed. There are openings for the camera's own strap to protrude. There is also a cord with a snap on one side that can go around the camera strap if you want the case to dangle from the camera while shooting, or you can unsnap that and remove the case entirely. The velcro closure on the top is very convenient for opening and closing the case while shooting occasionally, as one might while walking. The two zippers on the sides can be closed when the camera is to be put away for a while. If you're not a strap person, it has a belt loop that you can thread your own belt through or get a dedicated webbed "fanny-pack" belt. The belt loop is stitched and is very secure.

There is a small pocket inside that is perfect for an extra SD card. In a pinch, a set of extra batteries can be stored there, but it is a snug fit.

I find that this well made, stylish, padded case is a perfect fit for my S2 and protects it both when traveling and while just walking around. If I'm going to be shooting continually, I just take it off. I have a small gadget bag in addition to the case in which I can keep my battery charger, cleaning supplies and other gear as well as the camera. I have always purchased cases for my cameras to protect them and my S2 is no exception.

An excellent camera case and well worth getting to protect your investment.

This camera case does just what it says. I was kind of scared off by the other reviews, but got the case because I wanted something to protect my camera.

It is small, but it works just fine for my Powershot S3 IS. The pocket in the back of the inside is large enough for me to fit 4 back up AAs and a spare SD card in it's protective case.

The reviewer who said the bag popped open when he put the neck strap inside is either mistaken, or he was placing the camera in the case backwards. The neck strap that came with my S3 fits inside the case along with my 4 AAs and SD card with no problems. The case is also built in such a way that you can have the neck strap come out of the top of the case, and wear the camera, case and all, around your neck.

There isn't any room to spare, but when you're talking about a camera case like this one can you really ask more than a neck strap, a change of batteries and a spare card?

This case allows me to put my camera in my backpack without fear of it being scratched or god forbid getting bumped, turning on and trying to extend the lens.

I honestly do not understand how some of these reviewers had the same case...

It may not be for everyone, but it certainly works for me.

You get what you pay for but, so far, this hasn't proven to be worth using. It's flimsy and stiff but cheap.

Click Here For Most Helpful Customer Reviews >>

Overall I've been pleased with this, though it has a few key drawbacks. Most prominently, while the plastic is good and thick, it seems brittle, so if anything does break, it'll probably break all at once, dumping your investment on the ground. I've swung this around a bit without incident, so it's certainly not an imminent danger, but the potential is there.

The other more present problem is that it's *really* wide. It's 4 1/4" wide by 4 1/2" long, and it's (understandably) stiff. That means that when it's on my hip which is where I want it the middle is pressed tightly against my hip while the sides stick out about an inch each. It's literally just a big flat plate pressed up against your skin and bone. I'm 6'2" and 158lbs, so pretty skinny. Maybe it would be more comfortable with a little more meat, but I don't know. It would be hard to make 4 1/4" of stiff plastic really comfortable.

As for the pros, it's wildly convenient! I love letting my camera swing at my hip. I can just reach down to stabilize it a little while I jog. It's got a fantastically-designed locking mechanism that keeps the camera securely in place until you push down (deliberately) against your hip to release it.

All in all, pretty cool. For this price, I'd certainly buy it again (though obviously not if the reason I was buying it again were because it broke!).

Best Deals for Camera Belt Harness for SLR/DSLR/Point-and-Shoot

It's probably the cheapest accessory you can buy for an SLR and you can not have to fuss with toting around a big camera. Unless you really enjoy toting around a huge bag or slinging your camera over your shoulder and then slamming the camera into anything you walk by, you need this.

I have a full sized SLR and a 28-150mm lens and I can just hook the whole thing on my belt and forget about it. The quick draw works great. When I'm at music festivals, boat parties or nightclubs I like to dance around as well and I can dance and the camera is safe and secure on my waist with no flopping around. You can hook you camera on your belt and then change lenses, do simple maintenance such as add accessories flash setups etc while having both hands free.

If you are an action photographer this is a must.

Honest reviews on Camera Belt Harness for SLR/DSLR/Point-and-Shoot

I got this for hiking to use with my single lens digital camera (Lumix) and took it out last weekend for a test run. I attached the harness to my lumbar pack strap. The screw on base took a bit of manuevering to get the direction of the item to my liking but didn't take long. At first I was cautious, fearing the clip wouldn't hold but after hiking for awhile, I was quite satisfied that my camera wasn't going anywhere. I love how easily the clip pops out for use (just press the base in and slide it up and out) but how securely it locks in place. My neck wasn't weighted down from the strap, nor was my camera banging around getting in the way. I should have gotten this months ago! Entirely pleased with the product and highly recommended!

There's an inner pocket for the extra SD card. The shell is pretty sturdy. It has a shoulder strap but it's kind of useless for me.

The bad thing is the belt strap. It's not a durable synthetic type, but a thinner strap that won't last. I don't necessarily use it on my belt, but I do use it against my back pack so I can take a picture quickly while skiing or hiking without fumbling around looking for it.

I have what essentially amounts to a fanny pack for carrying small items, so I didn't want a full-fledged camera bag just wanted something hard on the outside that would protect my camera when I wanted to carry it around in the fanny pack. The camera in question in a Samsung WB750. To protect the screen, I added a Delkin 3.0 pop-up sun shade (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000HB2TJ2/ref=oh_details_o01_s00_i00), which adds a little to the thickness of the camera. With the sun shade, my camera just barely fits inside this case. I don't think I could add an extra battery or even an extra memory card (without the pop-up shade, there would be room for either or both), but the fanny pack has a pocket I could put those things in.

The case has a loop on the back if you wanted to run a belt through it, and it comes with a shoulder strap (which you could probably use around your waist, which is exactly what I do with another small camera bag I have). It does seem to be hard on the outside, almost like a plastic shell covered in nylon, but I think it may be a hard foam. You're not going to be able to stand on it and not have your camera get smashed, but it should protect from things knocking into it (the hardness does not extend to where the zipper is, which goes around almost the entire case, so the two halves of the case can smush together and therefore smush your camera if you were really trying, so if you are prone to falling down on top of your camera bag or standing on it or playing baseball with it, you should probably find a case that is metal and has thick, protective foam on the inside).

Although I feel that this case does what I need it to do, I knocked it a star for the following two reasons: I wanted the outside to be harder, more of a molded plastic, though this is probably hard enough. Additionally, the inside is not soft and squishy there really isn't much of any layer of foam or soft protection inside the case. It's basically just a thin layer of fabric covering a hard interior.

The zipper pulls seem pretty good. This definitely is not a waterproof case due to the zipper construction (not that they made any claims otherwise). It would probably protect from a light sprinkle outside, but if you tried submerging it in water, it would fill up quickly.

The case is small, relatively rugged, and looks nice. For my particular needs, it does the trick.
