I am going to NYC in Sept 2013. I wanted a bag to store my D800, 14-24 and 24-70. I narrowed it down to this bag and the Speed Freak V2.0. The thing I liked about the Turnstyle 20 is you can wear it as a sling or a belt pack so big points for having that option.

If you notice the Turnstyle is taller on one side (bottom) which really gives it room enough to fit a 70-200 (even my Sigma 50-500 fit in that section of the bag). I was able to put on the far left side (top/lowest) my D800 w/24-70 face down which left the middle section open for a prime or even a speed light. The strap is very comfy and adjustable and you can convert the setup to belt pack fairly easily though I recommend doing this with the bag empty. I have the Amazon basics backpack but I don't want to wear a backpack all day again the Turnstyle is more compact then that bag as well. There is a section for an iPad (normal size) to fit. There is also storage in the front of the main compartment that you can fit extra batteries, memory cards, etc.

Yes it's $99.75 but you get a life-time warranty which leads me to the quality of the bag itself. As an owner of a Think Thank Retrospect 30 which I love it holds a ton of gear I never really considered any other bag. Like the Retrospect 30 this bag has a rain cover as well. I would safely say you can put the trinity in the bag with the body attached to one of the smaller lenses. Though it's going to be heavy!

The only change I would make is the bottom having a more rigid section so it can stand on end.

I like this bag a lot and it has become my everyday camera bag. It is well constructed, light weight, strong material and quality zippers, spacious, and in particular the hammock design in the main compartment keeps the camera suspended, providing extra protection if bag is dropped. The bottom itself is thick for additional protection and is very stable. The strap is long so I can wear it either on my shoulder or across my body comfortably. My other bag which is a back-pack design I now primarily use for times that require long hikes. Comparing the two design, I feel this Caselogic bag offers easier access. Whereas the back-pack provides better weight-distribution when carried on both shoulders.

My only caution for interested buyers is to be careful when selecting between the Case Logic SLRC 202 and 203 for proper size. The latter, which is the content of this review, is in my opinion much more spacious after trying both on for size. I actually ordered the 202 (medium) bag first and found the main compartment interior a little snug for my D90 with kit lens and after-market thick strap, while the side pockets too tight for mid or larger sized lenses. For reference, I have a Tokina 11-16 ultrawide and it does NOT fit in the side pockets when the camera is also housed in the main (on the 202). On the other hand, the 203 side pockets are deep & wide and the zippers go all the way down front to back (NoDrop tm), giving great access. The larger bag looks barely bigger than the medium one and yet it still weighs nothing. When loaded with the camera, a flash and 3 lenses, it feels supremely capable for the job. I have not done any measuring, but I doubt a nikon or canon 70-200 2.8 will fit in the side pockets or the main when connected to the body. Finally 203 can carry a tripod.

A strong yet light bag. Highly recommend.

This bag, the SLRC-203 is well built. Good quality and all. Having owned a previous Caselogic case, the SLRC2, I chose this case because it seemed similar. I was very happy with the old case, but I upgraded from a small Nikon D40x to a larger Canon 7D.

This case fits the larger camera just fine with a large lens on the body and two lenses on either side in the pockets. Space is not really an issue.

The disappointing areas of the SLRC-203 are these (esp. compared to the SLRC2):

1. The side lens pockets have one zipper slider each that runs all the way up and over the case. This allows the pockets to open wide for big lenses, but it means that you have to almost completely unzip it to remove a lens. Compare this to the zipper on the Caselogic SLRC2 or SLRC-202 which is around the top. It is possible to leave the zipper unzipped on the SLRC2 and SLRC-202 and not have to worry about the lens falling out. With this case, unless the zipper is completely zipped down, you run a little risk of losing the lens. Also, if you store a tripod on the front (which is what the front flap is designed for) then the tripod will block your access to the lens pouch zippers... another annoying design flaw. Two zipper sliders per zipper would have been much nicer.

2. The top handle is attached to the top flap, so unless you have the zipper completely zipped you cannot/should not carry the case by the top handle. The SLRC2 case in comparison has two split handles on the top which can be grasped together regardless of whether the top flap is zipped. This comes in handy when you need to frequently access the contents of bag and are moving it around alot. With the SLRC-203, if the top is unzipped and you hold it by the handle, the flap will open and you could lose some stuff.

Those are the two worst parts of an otherwise great bag. Unfortunately, the SLRC2 (my old case) is too small for my Canon 7D and lenses, but there are design features I like more about that case as compared to this item, the SLRC-203.

I bought this case because of the stat sheet and reviews which said it could hold 4 lenses. In fact it will hold four lenses so long as they are the contact variety. This is called the "large" size case as contrasted with the medium one from the same manufacturer. Yes, it's "large" if you use the same ruler that Jenny Craig does when she measures the portions in her frozen dinners. In fact, it's about the size of an oversized lunch pail. All that said, this is a good product for what it is; a safe and protective slr camera case. Good cameras no longer come with hard shell cases as they did in days past and if you're looking to make up for that deficiency, this is a good product for you. Rather than using old time leather as a shock absorber, this new tech case uses a cutout hammock assembly (think, tightee-whitee) that nicely safeguards a camera with an attached lens from dents and damage. I use a canon 20d and this case securely holds it along with an attached 10-22 wide angle lens. I wouldn't recommend using it with any longer lens attached as it will scrape the bottom of the bag and defeat the whole design architecture. At most, you can fit one other lens in a side pocket, but I don't feel comfortable muffin topping an expensive lens into a lightly padded pocket which can only be closed by straining the zipper like calvin klein's jeans. Still, I'm keeping the case as I'll use it, no doubt. It's great for daytrips where you know what you'll be using your camera for and can plan ahead. If you're looking for an actual gear case or portable studio buy a slingshot 302.

I second pretty much everything the previous reviewer said and, indeed, bought this larger of two bags on his advice. I'm glad I did. Let me add a few numbers. It holds (in the sling) my Nikon D90 which is 5" wide, 4"high, and 2" deep with a 3" diam., 5" long lens attached. Since this lens is a 18-270 I don't carry other lenses so can't comment on space for them. There is space in various compartments for the charger and 2 extra batteries, 5 or 6 77mm filters and a lens hood, carrying strap, a SB400 flash, extra SD cards, and (just in case) a Nikon Coolpix P50. I tried for the kitchen sink but it would not quite fit.

The case itself appears to be quite sturdy but also very light in weight. The hard molded base is quite nice as it keeps the bag upright at all times and would be wonderful if you had to set it down in a mud puddle (up to 1" deep only).

A really well designed unit though, it is, as you no doubt already noticed, a tad expensive. In this case, I think it is well worth the price!

Read my review of the little brother to this bag, the SLRC-202. This bag has all the good properties of its little brother, plus a little more in the central compartment that allows me to store my SB-800 flash.

The one thing that I find disappointing about this bag is the side pockets. They taper down toward the bottom so that they have a narrow base. I think this was done to maintain the overall top-wide narrow bottom shape. But aesthetics should not win out over function. The base of the side pockets is narrow enough so that lenses do not fit well in them. They fit they just don't fit well. The generous space at the top of the side pockets should have been maintained all the way to the bottom. That would make this a perfect bag. Caselogic, are you listening?

I ordered this case for a camera that's advertised as 3.8 inches long by 2.2x0.8, as the interior measurement of the case is 3.94x2.76x1.42. My camera does not fit and may be about 1/16" longer than advertised (the camera actually arrived later than the case) . If I try really hard, I can fit the camera in sometimes but not always and when I zip it up, the case is somewhat distorted. It's a testament to the quality of the zipper that I can close it at all. It's a nice hard case with a soft interior, a little pocket and side panels so your camera would not fall out if you unzipped it all the way. It has a belt loop and a neck strap with two good, solidly attached loops for hooking the straps. I tried to find a similar Riva case in the right size, but no luck, so I had to order a case I like less. At 6.99, it's not worth returning, so I'll use it for something else. The red color is much darker than my monitor picture shows--almost maroon--but I like it. I think it's best suited for a camera no longer than 3.7". It was delivered promptly and in good condition.

I came across this bag in my local camera shop and the square tubular shape caught my attention. I sized it up with my Yashica EM and sure enough, it is a nice fit. Construction is solid, I don't expect any issues with regards to durability. Padding is ample, giving the bag some rigidity. There is enough room in the main compartment for the camera and a 3 1/2" x 5" notepad for recording exposures. The accessory pouch has ample room for my shutter release cable, a quick-release tripod pad and a couple of rolls of film.

The graphics on my bag are updated vs. the picture shown by Amazon. I will endeavor to upload some pics as well. All in all, a solid investment for the money and quality.

I recently purchased an Olympus camera and really needed both a tripod and a camera case, so I purchased this kit because it seemed the most cost-effective way to get those items in addition to all the extra stuff that came with it. I haven't used some of the items yet, but the tripod is a perfect height and so far is really stable and easy to use.

I also like the USB card reader though I didn't originally think I'd have a use for it since my computer comes with a card-reader built in. However, it enables me to watch videos from the memory card on my Blu-Ray player [that has a USB port], which is really convenient.

The only negative thing I have to say about the product at this point is that the camera case is already torn near the handle even though I haven't put anything other than the camera itself inside it [and haven't even carried it around much as it mostly just sits inside my bag when I'm taking the camera somewhere]. It is torn as though the weight of the camera [1.8 lbs.] is too much for the case, which is weird considering the case is supposed to be FOR Olympus cameras. Still, the case works just fine it is a good storage place for the camera, which was my goal, after all.

In all, I'm satisfied with the purchase and consider this kit a good value.

Fantastic case. Tough as anything and provides excellent protection for my camera equipment. The pick and pluck foam takes a little getting used to (there are plenty of YouTube videos on how best to use it), but once you have found the right technique it is easy to shape for individual items. Would definitely recommend for someone looking for a serious protective case.

I was hoping this was made in Switzerland but no it was made in China. But putting that disappointment aside I do like the case overall. I am putting my Doro cell phone in it to carry when what I am wearing does nor have pockets. Mostly when I mow. I wear as little as possible when its 100 and 80% humidity in Kansas. But it has a good lanyard to around my neck and a place on the back for a pen or pencil. Inside it has one open pocket with 2 mesh pockets to hold various items. And it has a front flap with a Velcro closure on it to hold whatever you want to put in it.It is a stronger pocket but I would not put anything breakable in it. If that flap somehow gets caught on something and the case is in a downward angle what ever is in there could come out and fall to the floor or ground. I don't know how it would do holding a camera but it is a good case and made to good standards. The overall dimensions are 3 1/2 by 5 inches. The main pocket has 2 zippers that unzip to the sides and down each side. I would recommend looking at this case for your own purpose but why I gave it only 4 stars was where it was made. I tied the lanyard down at the end of the lanyard almost at the end so it won't slide off the lanyard.

Plenty of use options, but on the whole much bulkier than I like. I wanted it because with the clip it can go on and off your belt without having to remove your belt, but that convenience is far outweighed by the bulk. I since bought a different case thats trimmer to carry.

IT Certainly is and its made quite well with a secure lock is it waterproof its a plastic compound the interior is a material of foam of some type that will float the case seems to seal properly and snug fit .Now will it float and is it water tight ? well I thought about filling the sink and playing boats or maybe submarine with it but Alas Didn't thought at my age just might have to much Fun and not want to Leave. So I will leave this to those who want to go back if it becomes as much fun as I think let me know

This bag is perfect, love it! It has a great solid quality & I really like the fact that it doesn't have the Velcro strips running on the inside of the bag. Sometimes those strips seem to snag on your camera when pulling it in & out. I live in New Orleans....and we have festivals all the time here.

I think I've heard in the greater metro area, we have like 72 or so major festivals.

There are only 52 weeks in a year, so you're gonna miss a couple of them, no matter how hard you try....!!!

So, needless to say, I have a LOT of times I want to bring my camera gear...Jazz Fest, Blues Fest...Mardi Gras, you name it.

But for many of these gatherings, it is just too crowded to carry a huge bag while standing and walking all day, you need something to easily carry the basics.

I found this Tamrac bag to be my best choice. I can easily squeeze in what I need.

My last photog excursion was out to a pinball tourney at a bar in the CBD here....and I took:

Canon 5D3

Canon 70-200L f/2.8 II (newest one)

Canon 17-40mmL f/4

Canon 600EX-RT flash

I had no problem getting all of this in my bag.

Heavy? Well, sure, I have a big piece of glass in there with a big camera, BUT it all easily fits with arrangement of the internal baffles (or whatever they call the compartment pieces).

I can get into and out of there easily and not hard to find what I needed, when looking for CF cards or changing lenses.

The sling design makes it easy enough for me to get to my gear...and sling it around my back out of the way when shooting or walking around.

It seems well made and it works for me.

I was needing something to carry that would allow me to have my 5D3, the 70-200 f/2.8...and either 2 more lens choices or the large speedlite, and be something I could haul around all day in crowds, streetcars and pounding the pavement.

I found it in this sling bag.

This is sold as a cell phone pouch, I don't use it that way. I have a disability and have rails on my bed. I wrap the pouch around the rail and use it to hold my TV remote. It is great since it is not floppy and holds its form well and stays open when the remote is not inside making it easier to put the remote back when necessary. I liked it so much that I brought a second one to put the bed remote in.

I bought this case for my treo 680 and it did not fit without a rubber casing for the treo, the measurements seemed to match up before I placed the order, but the treo was loose in the case. My treo will fall out if I jump or bend over to pick something up, which I do both often, I suppose I could bend at the knees but that's no fun. However I really like it, it is built well and I use it now for my zire 72s (it is not loose on the 72s), it looks cool and its not made of dead cow like many other cases. Neoprene is awesome. I might try again with a different size.
