I needed a small bag for my GoPro Hero 2 camera to have it protected from scratches and specially if I just pack everything in one big bag for weekend trips.
After an extensive research I couldn't believe there were just 2 options: Buffa Gopro (which doesn't seem to have space for the extra batteries, SD, charger and it has no shoulder strap) and a Pelikan hard case (too big and bulky for me).
So I just decided to try this very small case which I think it's just what I was looking for.
Pros:
Small and Lightweight
Contains a shoulder strap
It has a good quality (resistant on the outside and smooth on the inside)
The stuff compartment is enough for carrying extra batteries, SD, charger or even the LCD.
Cons:
Doesn't have enough space for carrying the head or chest harness.
If you're the kind of person that wants all GoPro accessories with you all the time, this will not suit your needs. On the other hand if you're very practical, this will be perfect.

I love this case, and it is perfect for my Sony camera. I like that it is a hard case, but soft on the inside. The clip makes it convenient to clip to my backpack when I am out hiking. We are very happy with this case. It is very sturdy. The piece holding the hook on is not very flexible, but we are not going to use the hook anyway.

Lowepro Nova 170 AW Camera Bag (Chestnut Brown) Review
I was using a Tamrac bag for 9 years for my film SLR. So naturally I was leaning towards tamrac when I started looking for DSLR bag. I was buying the XSI+18-55 lens + 55-250 lens +battery charger+couple of filters+flash(in future)+memory cards, manual and some more! But I didn't want to be too liberal with the size of the bag. It should fit all this as well as it should be as compact as possible. Because when you are traveling, the size of the bag is very important. After an umpteen number of website reads, started visiting all the frys, circuitcity, best buy, wolf etc. When finally I stumbled across this, I instantly knew this was the one bag I was looking for.
-It is soft to touch & beautiful (in fact the first couple of days I was hugging it around until my wife started shouting at me!)
-perfectly padded to be fully safe for all my expensive equipment
-It also has the option to wear it on your waist belt( I was looking for this option too, tough not particular)
There are two cons that I could think of though these become minor when you actually see this bag.
1. the rough surface of the inside of the shoulder strap is quite rough I think in the long run it might rub off my shirts.
2. The base: they could have put a couple of rubber strips so that I can peacefully place the bag any where even on dirty surfaces.
All in all, this bag what I have been looking for and more!!
Thank you Lowepro designers!
The bag will mostly be used for comfortably fitting:
1a. Sony dSLR a200 with Tamron 17-50 F/2.8 attached (+ lens hood)
1b. Sony 70-300G (have not checked it with lens hood)
I actually found I can carry this 2 lens kit the other way as well
2a. Sony dSLR a200 with Sony 70-300G attached
2b. Tamron 17-50 F/2.8 (+ lens hood)
This is the reason I got the Nova 170 over the Nova 160, for the greater depth of the bag to allow me to carry it with the 70-300 lens attached, if so desired.
But I found that if I carry it in configuration #1 but remove the Tamron 17-50 lens hood I can also carry:
3. Tamron 90 macro (with Tamron 17-50 lens hood underneath)
And the elastic pocket on the outside allows me to carry an external flash if need be.
I am very pleased with the amount of gear this small, durable bag can carry.
A Pentax K20D (a medium sized DSLR external battry grip attached) with an 18-250mm zoom fits with the hood on and about a quarter inch to spare. Add in a Pentax 100mm macro lens and a flash and the bag's full. The macro need's its hood reversed, but that's not my main lens.
You can pay less for a bag this size but it won't all have the little extras like rain cover, multiple compartments, memory card pockets, double closure on the main compartment and long, wide strap with swivel buckles. It's nice to not have yet another black bag too. It actually is brown, not the green that Amazon displays.
The waterproof cover worked as advertised. I walked around San Francisco one rainy day, and all my gear stayed completely dry. The strap is comfortable for extended periods of time, and the design allows me to access my gear quickly. I found the Nova 180 too bulky the 170 is more compact unless you have a lot of extra gear. Excellent camera bag overall.
The bag was a bit smaller in person than I thought it would be. I think I will have to buy a bigger one though, because while it fits all those things there's almost no more room for anything else. If you're traveling etc. then you'd like to have some space in there for a book maybe etc.
The other rather annoying thing is that the base is too small and not sturdy enough so that when you load it up with things it doesn't always stand up straight. In fact it will tip over! I almost had the thing fall off the couch because of that. You have to prop it up against something or just leave it on its back.
Another issue is that if you carry it by the top handle, the weight of the camera and lenses makes it uncomfortable to carry because it sags and the handle isn't sturdy enough for that kind of eight. It should be stiffer, but its more cloth like so just sags and forms a point at your hand....
I do like the material, it feels nice, and the little clasp in the front is good for quick opening and closing if you don't close the top pouch by the zipper.

Nice bag. It's well constructed and the waterproof cover is a great feature for this north-westerner. This was obviously designed by a real photographer. I carry a small water bottle in the side pocket. That's a nice extra. This is a good walk-around bag. It won't carry a large kit but is perfect for one camera with selected lenses. The shoulder strap pad is very grippy and will stay on even when not carried across the body.A Pentax K20D (a medium sized DSLR external battry grip attached) with an 18-250mm zoom fits with the hood on and about a quarter inch to spare. I am very satisfied with the Nova 170. It's perfect for my D40 with 18-200 mm lens attached, sb-400 flash, and 50 mm f1.4 lens. I can also include a camcorder if needed. I may upgrade to a sb-600 flash in the future which will fit nicely into the bag. I am able to fit a Rebel T1i attached to a Tamron 17-50 lens, plus a 430ex II flash, and a 50mm 1.8 lens. It also fits the battery charger, extra set of AA batteries and a few memory cards. It has some nice side zipper pockets for documents and anything that fits in a thin pocket. The bag was a bit smaller in person than I thought it would be. I bought this to hold my Iphone 5 while I bike. I put the phone in the case and then the case in a underseat bag while I bike. Without a case the phone fits snugly in the Pelican 1015. The lid closes and I have the piece of mind that if I have a tumble on the bike, the phone will probably be fine (hopefully I will be ok to use the phone after the fall...).

I have been searching for a small padded shoulder camera bag that would provide enough protection, yet be portable and not scream "I'm a camera bag". Unfortunately this isn't that bag. There isn't enough protection for the camera, but it is slightly padded, so I could possibly live with it. However, with a Nikon D7000 with a 18-270mm lens, it's way too small. In addition there are not extra pockets. Even an interior zipper pocket would be great for IDs or Cash, but it's very small and non functional. Unfortunately I had to return it. The search continues.
It's pretty small, as other reviewers have mentioned, but I can still usually put everything I need into it-more on that below. It comes with two straps, one of which I actually use as a matching camera strap on my camera! And on the inside there's a removable padded divider.
This bag is NOT very padded, but I'm ok with it because I don't tend to throw my camera bags around anyway.
I also like that it's vegan because I was having a very hard time finding animal friendly camera bags.
Here's what I put into it (not all of these things at the same time though!):
This bag fits my Canon Rebel T3 and it's kit lens beside it comfortably.
I also use it to carry my Lubitel 166+ around, small notebook, cable release, pencil, and rolls of film. I also have enough room to keep a small wallet in there.
My Lomo LC-A+ fits great of course, so I can carry extra films and flash, keys, wallet.
My Diana F+ and Diana Mini fit comfortably, and once again there's still room for accessories.
The only thing I really didn't like about this bag is that it doesn't have a pocket to carry personal items in, such as keys, cash, pens, etc.

I'm taking a trip to Colorado with my boyfriend soon and I needed a camera bag that wouldn't scream "I have $1000 worth of stuff, mug me! while walking around." I wanted it to look more like a small purse, so as not to attract attention, and I wanted to be able to sling it over my shoulder so that I could keep it close to my body. It's pretty small, as other reviewers have mentioned, but I can still usually put everything I need into it-more on that below. This product was not what I pictured. It was too small. The seller is misleading with putting the measurements in cm rather than inches. Once the product arrived and I looked carefully I found the size in inches in small print way down in the description.Honest reviews on Cosmos New Classic Vintage Casual Brown Shoulder Pu Leather Camera
I bought this bag to use with my Panasonic GX-1 with 2 pancake lenses. It fits the camera well and leaves enough space to fit an extra lens, my iphone, & wallet. I used it almost everyday to carry my camera, but after about 3 months of use, the metal clasp that connects the strap to the bag was loose. Every time i use the bag, the clasp opens somehow and freaks me out. For what it's worth, I love the size and the look, it truly is perfect for a mirrorless like my GX1...I bought the bag in May last year, still keep it around and use it with extra care, but I'm on the look out for a new bag with a sturdier construction.Find helpful customer reviews and review ratings for Cosmos New Classic Vintage Casual Brown Shoulder Pu Leather Camera
It looks larger in the picture. I was able to fit my SLR, fully disassembled in the bag but nothing else. I was looking for somethin I could keep my SLR assembled to be used at the ready but also something I could carry a wallet and my sunglasses in. I wanted a purse/camara bag. Didn't work. Also, I thought it would carry a laptop, maybe the picture showed a mini tablet. No way a laptop could get in there. It was nice looking, but a larger purse can work even better, for a lot less money. Sent it back (which was easy to do with Amazon).Friday, July 11, 2014

Excellent quality, lots of protection for equipment. Extremely well thought-out design. Very comfortable strap when slung over your shoulder, swings to the front to make camera quickly available
I think I've heard in the greater metro area, we have like 72 or so major festivals.
There are only 52 weeks in a year, so you're gonna miss a couple of them, no matter how hard you try....!!!
;)
So, needless to say, I have a LOT of times I want to bring my camera gear...Jazz Fest, Blues Fest...Mardi Gras, you name it.
But for many of these gatherings, it is just too crowded to carry a huge bag while standing and walking all day, you need something to easily carry the basics.
I found this Tamrac bag to be my best choice. I can easily squeeze in what I need.
My last photog excursion was out to a pinball tourney at a bar in the CBD here....and I took:
Canon 5D3
Canon 70-200L f/2.8 II (newest one)
Canon 17-40mmL f/4
Canon 600EX-RT flash
I had no problem getting all of this in my bag.
Heavy? Well, sure, I have a big piece of glass in there with a big camera, BUT it all easily fits with arrangement of the internal baffles (or whatever they call the compartment pieces).
I can get into and out of there easily and not hard to find what I needed, when looking for CF cards or changing lenses.
The sling design makes it easy enough for me to get to my gear...and sling it around my back out of the way when shooting or walking around.
It seems well made and it works for me.
I was needing something to carry that would allow me to have my 5D3, the 70-200 f/2.8...and either 2 more lens choices or the large speedlite, and be something I could haul around all day in crowds, streetcars and pounding the pavement.
I found it in this sling bag.

This fit my exslim Z600 with room to spare. I can assume it will fit any slim style camera. With my camera in the pouch, The pouch had about 2 inches of extra room of height and about 3/4 of an inch of extra room in the thickness of the pouch. The width was perfect, it did not have to be smashed into the case and it did not slide from side to side. this is what I was looking for. If you are searching for a case that only holds the camera and no accessories this one is not for you. I used the extra room in the pouch to hold 3 extra SD cards which I purchased a slim SD card case from Ziotek that hold 3 cards just search Ziotek sd card case and you will find it. and an extra battery with room to spare. In the extra pouch I had ample room for cash and credit-cards and my keys (3 keys). I was able to get rid of my "fanny pack" because this pouch fit every thing. The velcro covered extra pouch gave me easy access to the cash and keys and the camera storage section is zippered. The Velcro outer pouch can hold my flip video camera instead of the cash and keys. This case surpassed my expectations in every way!
This is a big case. If you are buying this just for the flip it may be to large for you. This is not one of those slim cases
It is however a nice looking well made bag that I will use.

Did not know what to expect before receiving my padded case for my Flip Slide unit. The case was as advertised with these additional feaures. A loop on the side that holds my tripod. Works great. I bought this for my wife as I didn't want her to break her new digital camera. I have heard stories of a wife placing their camera in their purse and not surviving. It's a nice hard case with some flex but not enough to break the inside contents. It does come with a small netting for extra memory cards as well. As our camera requires a charger block for the battery and not a USB. We can't fit it in there, so it dropped a star but then it would make the case bigger and bigger means bulky. The kid gets her hands on this case with the camera inside and it turns on each time. I have bought more of the same case for others as gifts because I like it soo much. As it comes in different colors, it also help us determine which camera case is ours. of course, I check inside to make sure there are two mix ups.Received quickly and free shipping. Lighter blue than I thought from the picture but just the correct size for my Sony DSC TX7. I think I can also put a battery and extra memory card also. Great for the price.

I should have paid closer attention to the product description because there is nothing leather about this product. Also, the strap is supposed to be adjustable but there's no way to adjust because the clamp for the strap only tightens when you push the button in, otherwise it is open and slides when you were the case with the strap. Makes no sense to me why they designed it this way. This is way overpriced for what you get. Just buy one of the cheaper cases for your camera. This case is perfect for my Sony cyber shot. The outside pocket is great for extra batteries and memory card.

Tamrac 5564 Explorer 400 Digital SLR Camera Bag (Black) + Accessory Reviews
I have a Pentax K-10D with a big zoom and a small zoom. The only difficulty I had with the case was when a Pentax DA*60-250 lens is mounted on the K-10D, the assembled camera is too long for the case. The measurements on Tamrac's site and Amazon are clear, though, and this should be no surprise to anyone with that combination.
With a standard medium to long zoom and a couple other lenses this case is perfect for a day out. It holds just enough gear for a day trip. The strap is long enough to sling around my neck or shoulder and padded well enough to be comfortable. The storage setup is well-considered and fits everything I needed for a day with the camera.
