Reviews of Tamrac 5248 Adventure 8 Photo Backpack (Black)

I just received this bag as a gift. It's perfect. I own a Canon AE1, a standard 50mm, a 25-80mm, and a 75-300mm (lenses). This bag fits it all EASILY, including rolls of film, cleaning materials, my wallet, cellphone, keys, and other such items. Also, I feel like it definitely keeps my equipment safe from the elements and packed neatly in a padded enclosure. Plus, it's very convenient to have a backpack (I used an over-the-shoulder strap bag before, which always got in the way) The backpack stays out of my way so I can concentrate on the picture I'm taking. This is a great deal too.

Tamrac has designed a small/medium bag for single camera body carrying that I have found very convient. Over the year plus I've used the bag I like it VERY MUCH.

This is not my primary camera bag simply because I cannot fit everything I might need for a professional photoshoot. For this I use a $200+monster bag and a cart to wheel it around. One backpack bag will not fit all needs.

Here's what I like about this Photo backpack:

1. Great Value for the money

2. Comfortable when under full load

3. Adjustable shoulder and chest straps

4. My vacation configuration: Canon dSLR Rebel w/kit lens, BGE-1 battery grip/w2 canon batteries, a 70-300mm telephoto, 420EX speedlight, bounce flash portrait diffuser, camera battery charger, 4AA Ni-Mh ( for speedlight and Powershot A75 or A-85 + AA battery charger, a mini-tripod, Canon Powershot A85 backup camera, printer cable, extra Compact Flash cards, 8 in 1 flash memory reader, camera/speedlight instruction manuals, 58mm lens filter sets, and lens cleaner kits.

5. Plastic coated overflap makes the bag somewhat weather resistant (except for side pockets). (IMHO) This is NOT a weatherproof bag, and do not attempt to use it as such.

6. Adjustable internal padding allows for many different configurations.

7. My Homeland Security airport checkpoint bag of choice. Throw it on the X-ray belt easy to open if necessary.

8. Carry handle between shoulder straps is a convenient feature.

9. Cargo net pockets allow handy storage of manuals.

Things this bag will not do no matter how much you wish it would:

1. It's NOT a two camera-body photo bag (unless you want to leave speedlight or telephto or a whole bunch of stuff at home).

2. It's not an ideal shooting event bag because of back flap and and zippered main compartment it must come off your back and on the ground or table to take out what you need easily. This is a two hands and a firm surface to change your stuff bag. You'll still need a fanny pack or belt bag for quick changes of lens.

3. I can't use it as an all weather bag. I wish entire backpack were made of more water-resistant materials and designed to be more equipment protective.

For limited photoshoots; vacations or a casual backpack bag to carry a limited load of camera equipment the Adventure 8 is a GREAT purchase. It's convenient as a carrier bag for modest amounts of equipment. Perfect size allows me NOT to tempt fate by carrying backbreaking loads. Paired up with my roller laptop computer bag and backpack I'm only looking like a minor uber-geek road warrior when on vacation.

I recently purchased this very sleek backpack and it holds all of my equipment perfectly. It has so many compartments for storage that I couldn't find enough stuff to put in it. My only problem is that it can sometimes be uncomfortable to wear because it is smaller than a normal backpack. The hip strap is more like a chest strap. If you are an adult than you might not like how it looks or how it feels. I love this pack but it could be more comfortable. I suggest going to you camera store and try it out before you buy it.

Honest reviews on Tamrac 5248 Adventure 8 Photo Backpack (Black)

I went to France last summer and was searching for something that would fit my needs: hold 3 cameras, maps, 20+ rolls of film, etc.

Without a doubt this backpack made the trip a joy. I was able to carry a Nikon CP990, an SLR with an extra lens, a Lomo LC-A, all my filters, film, maps, a bottle of water, keys, passports, etc. It all fit it. And while the backpack may have felt heavy to lift, on my back it didn't cause any difficulty wearing it for extended periods of time.

I love it, it feels great on my back and can carry more things than I need to.

I now use it at home to carry all my stuff around. The rebuildable compartments are perfect. The greatest thing is that it just looks like a regular backpack.

Tamrac's Adventure 8 backpack is well suited for all sorts of day trips. The bag has a padded compartment for camera equipment, a main compartment suitable for holding a variety of goodies, and an assortment of smaller nooks and compartments for holding the rest of your gear.

The Tamrac website boasts that the padded compartment has the capability to hold a camera body, 3 lenses of varying size, and a flash. While this is essentially true (assuming one of your lenses is attached to your camera body), squeezing that much gear would be a tight fit. I generally

carry a camera body, a table-top tripod, and either 2 extra lenses or a lens and the flash.

The bag is small in size but large enough to handle a day's worth of gear and goodies. And because it looks like a backpack, the bag passes through certain security checks where traditional camera bags may be red flagged.

I purchased the waist shooter a little while back thinking it was a cool concept and if I didn't like it, I would just return it. Well, after trying it once, I was totally hooked!

I tried it as a belt bag my first time out and it was simply amazing. I shoot mostly for fun, but occasionally I do portrait sessions for friends. I had 2 lenses and my CF cards in the bag and it was so easy swapping lenses in and out in a snap. Lenses fit comfortably, and I could even clip the bag closed when I was on the move for extra security. The only downside is that if you are sitting in the car, you probably need to either take the bag off or take the lenses out as it can be uncomfortable. The main thing is that I was worried about having a belt bag or fanny pack attached on my hip, but surprisingly it actually looks quite good! It is very slim and light weight and while it is still a belt bag, it is the best belt bag I have seen, haha!

But, seems like they thought of that. The bag actually comes with a wonderfully comfortable strap as well so you can either sling it messenger bag style, or wear it on the waist. So if you are anti-fanny pack, it does have a strap as well. I am kind of a girly girl, so I dig the purple and pink covers, which I have both. But, there are tons of cover choices for guys and girls, which is awesome. In a few months, when I get tired of the way it looks, I can just get a new cover rather than buying a whole new bag.

Anyway, amazing product, simple and great design and I would highly recommend this to really anyone that enjoys shooting. Whether you are a hobbiest, portrait photographer, travel photographer, whatever it is that you enjoy shooting, this bag is extremely handy.

Love this bag for my weddings. I do primarily videography with SLR's (a Canon 5D) so I switch out lenses often. I usually carry a 100mm f/2.8 lens as well as a 50mm F/1.2 lens. It's great if you're just looking to carry two lenses and a couple memory cards. It's not great if you're relying on it for your only bag. You definitely need to have a larger bag as well to carry the majority of your gear. Think of this as a little bonus bag or as an extension of your pockets on your pants that happen to fit two lenses.

Best Deals for Undfind WSS102 Waist Shooter Set (Black)

SLR gear is heavy, so I want my bag to not be. I have a D700 that I carry everywhere I go. The camera is heavy and bulky but honestly I can't live without it. The lenses for my camera are no joke either. This is where the Waist Shooter comes in handy. When I go on my day trips with my friends, it's great to have a lens bag that 1 isn't heavy and 2 isn't ugly. The peace of the puzzle that really put me over the top and made me a big fan was the strap. It's super flexible and comfortable. BTW, if it helps, I'm around 5' 5" and around 120 lbs (female). I can't imagine carrying anything huge and this bag looks great on me. Recommended for anyone around my size.

Honest reviews on Undfind WSS102 Waist Shooter Set (Black)

If you're familiar with the Shootsac, then at first glace you'll notice a similar look and function. The main differences are 1) this only has two pockets while the Shoot Sac has three (plus the two on the back), 2) you can wear this on the belt or on the shoulder, and 3) this has a much more comfortable and higher-quality strap.

This bag is very very simple. It's simply two neoprene pockets, a uniquely shaped strap, a leather cover with two netted pockets and a belt attachment. This same simplicity is its primary benefit because it is slim and gets the job done for what it's supposed to do. I usually carry around 1 flash, a 580ex, and a lens, a Canon 24-70mm lens and it's perfect for this. On my body, I'll have one other lens (usually a prime lens) that I'll switch between.

I sometimes shoot events every single day of the week so it's important for me to keep the weight off of my shoulders and for me to carry minimal equipment and weight. If you're looking to lug around your large zoom lenses (bigger than a 70-200), then this is NOT for you. If you're looking to carry the kitchen sink, this is not for you. If your an event photographer with a simple set up, this is your solution.

I was a little reluctant to buy something so small and thin for 80 big ones but I was convinced by my photog friend who swears by it. The conversation started when I was complaining about my back and my feet. I tried switching shoes (even wearing tennis shoes to a wedding), which definitely helped. But in the end, I was still feeling pretty beat up after a wedding (I don't have good feet in the first place). I realized that no matter what I was wearing, if I'm carrying 10-15 pounds of equipment during the wedding day, I'm going to have a little bit of pain.

what I love about the Waist Shooter is that it allows me carry my 3 essential lenses (two in the bag and one on my camera): the 85mm, the 24mm and the 70-200. I then leave everything else in a safe place at the reception hall. I really don't need my 100mm or my wide angle with me at all times, so I leave this on my assistant or in the safe place. Sometimes I wear the Waist Shooter around my shoulder and sometimes I wear it around my belt. This has helped a ton as far as reducing pain goes. It allows me to last until the very last dance (or whenever they book me till :) with more energy than I normally have when my dogs are barking (i.e. feet are killing me).

It's a MUST HAVE for any wedding tog.

I bought this bag for my husband. He had a digital camera, lens hood, cleaning kit and zoom lens to carry and wanted a roomy bag. He has room in this bag for additional items if he should decide to expand his equipment. The other bags we looked at were either much smaller or the size of backpacks... this bag was just what we were looking for. I'd recommend this item, the value, to any of my friends.

I just received this camera bag. It arrived quickly and was well packed and seems nicely padded in the interior with two pads that have velcro so you can place the extra padding where you feel it is most needed on the inside.

The only reservation I have about this bag is the odd overhang of the top main compartment flap. The zipper is basically tucked under the lip of the cover flap. When it arrived the zipper teeth were not fully locked together on the rounded corner so I was afraid it might continue to pull apart. I was able to unzip it and it did rezip all the teeth back together properly but it requires careful handling. Nylon zippers don't like a lot of stress so I hope that it hangs in there. If the zippers hold up I think I will really like the various compartments and the style and size of the bag overall.

This camera bag holds my HS20EXR perfectly along with all the basic necessities! The strap is comfortable. It is much better than the free bag I got with my camera.

This bag is made to fit my Finepix, but sadly it doesn't. It is too narrow for a camera this wide, and too short for the long lens. The biggest problem though, is the poor quality. There is not enough material at the top of the case, so that the top half of the zipper is constantly being pulled over the top of the case. To zip the bag, I had to pull the zipper and material down so it would meet with the lower half of the zipper. After a couple weeks, both tabs on the zipper broke, so now the bag is useless since it can't keep my camera secure. I will never buy a product from this company again, since they are well aware of the shortcomings of their product, and refuse to correct them.

This pouch is very handy. It is larger than my Canon camera, so it was a little larger than I was expecting. It still fits pretty well in my purse, and it protects the camera very well. I got the green one it looks like is a color I would describe as "avocado green" in real life.

This product is not adevertized well! It says it is to fit my size of camera. However that's purely because it's so big it fits all sorts of cameras (One assumed that all the cameras on the list were of the same slim/small size as mine). Also the picture does not show, that on the other side is a great big black thing to loop in a string to hang it. Some may see this as a good thing, but I was looking for something sleek, and this is not it. I would not have purchased this product had I known any of the above info. Delivery was good. Shame about the product.

Best Deals for GTMax Digital Camera Zipper Eva Pouch Carrying Case for PowerShot

I like the case, as it does what it is supposed to (protect my camera). It has a little velcro strap on the inside so the camera doesn't bounce around. There is also a little bungee/stretch opening pouch in there which I assume is probably for an extra battery.

The only thing I didn't like was that on the other side there is a big ugly black thing that you don't see in any of the product pictures. Its a connection thing so that you can attach an included hook to it. But I don't like the way it looks. I might have still bought the case, but it would have been nice if I knew about that beforehand.

Honest reviews on GTMax Digital Camera Zipper Eva Pouch Carrying Case for PowerShot

I measured my camera, I checked the product measurements. Looked like a good fit with room to spare, so I ordered it. It's a nice case, but not deep enough for my Fujifilm F505. A design improvement would be to elasticize the interior strap so that the camera can be quickly slipped out for use. Otherwise it's a great little case, nice and sleek for sliding into a pocket or purse.

This is a nifty little case. I like the green color. I like how the inside has a velcro strap for the camera and a little mesh pocket that is perfect for an extra battery or memory card. The carabiner is a useful feature, but you can remove it easily if you don't want a clip on your case. The zipper works well. I got it for a Canon PowerShot ELPH 310, and the camera fits perfectly. This is a great case for the money.

Ordered this for my Verizon mifi because it's power button was always getting pressed in my purse causing it to power up and drain the battery. I was able to scout out the different case options for my Sony DSC-N1. After much review, I asked my wife for her opinion and she picked the LCS-NB. It holds the camera nice and snug but you could work in a memory stick or battery. So far, so good.

Click Here For Most Helpful Customer Reviews >>

It is a nice clean looking case, but if you are looking to carry an extra battery or a memory stick, be prepared for a tight squeeze. The case seems to be designed to hold only the camera, even the pictures on the back indicate that the leash should stick out of the case when the camera is placed inside. Good camera case if you wanted something to protect your camera, but if you planned on carring some extra accessories, you might want to get something else.

if u have to have one by Sony, then this is the one; however, if u don't care about the brand, then choose something else. like other reviews have mentioned, the color of the case makes it hard to look new or clean, in turns, gives me a feeling that it won't last as long as i want. i recently took this carrying case w/ my DSC-N2 on my europe trip. i kept it in my purse for the most part, but it still gets dirty. also, i really don't get the neck strap at all. i put it onto the camera, but it just doesn't seem like it's working as well as it should be. other than these, i got what i paid for. i needed a good case to protect my camera, and i got it. also, it barely adds any weight to the camera itself.

This lil guy is pretty snazzy !!! I was pleasantly supprised when I got it(fast shipping). It feels pretty solid but I DO worry about the rivets(kinda chinsey) and don't know how long they will hold.

The inside is nice but I noticed the rubber grooved liner WAS NOT installed correctly and doesn't line up precisely with the included spacer bars.Bummer. So i simply won't use those parts, not to big of a deal.

I will update as I use it more. Thus the 3 stars SO FAR.

Thanks,Mako/

I absolutely love the design of the bag, and how convenient it is to slip the camera in and out without taking it off. The straps are well thought and I can carry it while on a bike for example with no issues of it sliding sideways and being in the way.

Size wise, I can carry all the equipment I want in it, since it can easily fit camera plus 3 medium size lenses (one on the camera). If you have the small primes like the nifty fifty, you can probably fit 5 lenses. Personally, I carry a Canon T2i with the kit lens, a telephoto lens (not one of them big ones), a speedlite (this takes as much space as a lens), battery charger, filters, extra batteries, and everything fits very comfortably in so comfortably that I was wondering if the 6x would have been enough too. You can customize the compartments however you want depending on what you carry.

The best thing about it, which is why I got this instead of a backpack type is that the external total volume is small, so if I go travel I can just shove it in my main luggage without problems, and don't have to add another piece of luggage on planes.

Personally I like the brown color too, way more than the black/grey one. It doesn't stand out, but it also doesn't look so... well, gray. And it doesn't scream "expensive stuff inside" when you're travelling.

It performs pretty well in slight rain too, never had issues, but I wouldn't stay in it for too long, not even to test it out. The padding is not very thick, I don't know how well will it do in protecting your equipment, but if I ever have the misfortune to find out, I'll let you know. I haven't figure out how to attach a small tripod gracefully to it, so maybe that could be a future upgrade :)

UPDATE: upgraded my lenses and thought I'd share. I was using mostly small and cheap lenses, so my estimates were a bit off when it comes to the larger ones. The 70-200 f4 fits inside no problem without its hood, and right now I can put in 3 pretty large lenses in the bag, but a tight fit and no room for any hoods the other 2 are 77mm lenses and the hoods are pretty wide. Still my favorite bag for traveling and walking around.

When I went looking for a new bag to hold my new Rebel T2i with the 18-135 lens, I wanted something big enough to hold most of my normal carry-around gear, but not huge. Aside from not wanting the hassle of carrying anything bigger than normal I prefer not to be too obvious with my gear. Also, I was visiting in Denver and doing some hiking, so definitely wanted something that was comfortable to carry without bouncing around against me like my last bag always did.

After looking at a lot of bags, I picked this, and really love it after several months of use.

It is surprisingly comfortable to carry, either over one should, over an arm and neck, or slung around behind you. But it's quick to pull it around to get your camera out. It even has a waist strap you can use if you want. I haven't needed that yet, but I've put my monopod through that space as a handy way to carry it.

It fits the longer 18-135 lens, has lots of pockets and so forth for holding all the bits & pieces, and can even hold my charger, another lens, hood, etc. And the brown looks good.

There is a series of this bags in this Tamrac Velocity line, so pick the one that works for you. Take your camera and longest lens with your to pick the best fit)

Honest reviews on Tamrac 5767 Velocity 7x Photo Sling Pack Bag (Brown/Tan)

I can fit into this my Sony SLT A57 with an attached lens, two additional lenses, a flash, and plenty of stuff up front. If I was so inclined I could attach their M.A.S. accessories to the sides to carry extra lenses, water bottles, filters, etc. I used it today for the first time and it was comfortable to have on. I walked about 3 to 4 miles in it and it was never bothersome. My only wish is that it had a way to strap my tripod to the bottom. I highly recommend this if you are considering a sling.

I like the bag. It fits everything nice and room for three lenses. The sling style makes for easy access to the camera. The only bad thing about the bag is that after a while of it being on one shoulder, that shoulder hurts. Switching to the other shoulder doesn't work because it is designed only to be used one way.

The case fits my new camera perfectly. It's not fancy leather but it will protect the camera and does not add a lot of weight or bulk. I would give it five stars if there was a quick opening to get to the SD card and the battery. Right now I have to unscrew the case.

Good case for use, but very rigid, good for protection, but without facilities to use the camera without having to take
