I purchased the waist shooter a little while back thinking it was a cool concept and if I didn't like it, I would just return it. Well, after trying it once, I was totally hooked!

I tried it as a belt bag my first time out and it was simply amazing. I shoot mostly for fun, but occasionally I do portrait sessions for friends. I had 2 lenses and my CF cards in the bag and it was so easy swapping lenses in and out in a snap. Lenses fit comfortably, and I could even clip the bag closed when I was on the move for extra security. The only downside is that if you are sitting in the car, you probably need to either take the bag off or take the lenses out as it can be uncomfortable. The main thing is that I was worried about having a belt bag or fanny pack attached on my hip, but surprisingly it actually looks quite good! It is very slim and light weight and while it is still a belt bag, it is the best belt bag I have seen, haha!

But, seems like they thought of that. The bag actually comes with a wonderfully comfortable strap as well so you can either sling it messenger bag style, or wear it on the waist. So if you are anti-fanny pack, it does have a strap as well. I am kind of a girly girl, so I dig the purple and pink covers, which I have both. But, there are tons of cover choices for guys and girls, which is awesome. In a few months, when I get tired of the way it looks, I can just get a new cover rather than buying a whole new bag.

Anyway, amazing product, simple and great design and I would highly recommend this to really anyone that enjoys shooting. Whether you are a hobbiest, portrait photographer, travel photographer, whatever it is that you enjoy shooting, this bag is extremely handy.

Love this bag for my weddings. I do primarily videography with SLR's (a Canon 5D) so I switch out lenses often. I usually carry a 100mm f/2.8 lens as well as a 50mm F/1.2 lens. It's great if you're just looking to carry two lenses and a couple memory cards. It's not great if you're relying on it for your only bag. You definitely need to have a larger bag as well to carry the majority of your gear. Think of this as a little bonus bag or as an extension of your pockets on your pants that happen to fit two lenses.

SLR gear is heavy, so I want my bag to not be. I have a D700 that I carry everywhere I go. The camera is heavy and bulky but honestly I can't live without it. The lenses for my camera are no joke either. This is where the Waist Shooter comes in handy. When I go on my day trips with my friends, it's great to have a lens bag that 1 isn't heavy and 2 isn't ugly. The peace of the puzzle that really put me over the top and made me a big fan was the strap. It's super flexible and comfortable. BTW, if it helps, I'm around 5' 5" and around 120 lbs (female). I can't imagine carrying anything huge and this bag looks great on me. Recommended for anyone around my size.

If you're familiar with the Shootsac, then at first glace you'll notice a similar look and function. The main differences are 1) this only has two pockets while the Shoot Sac has three (plus the two on the back), 2) you can wear this on the belt or on the shoulder, and 3) this has a much more comfortable and higher-quality strap.

This bag is very very simple. It's simply two neoprene pockets, a uniquely shaped strap, a leather cover with two netted pockets and a belt attachment. This same simplicity is its primary benefit because it is slim and gets the job done for what it's supposed to do. I usually carry around 1 flash, a 580ex, and a lens, a Canon 24-70mm lens and it's perfect for this. On my body, I'll have one other lens (usually a prime lens) that I'll switch between.

I sometimes shoot events every single day of the week so it's important for me to keep the weight off of my shoulders and for me to carry minimal equipment and weight. If you're looking to lug around your large zoom lenses (bigger than a 70-200), then this is NOT for you. If you're looking to carry the kitchen sink, this is not for you. If your an event photographer with a simple set up, this is your solution.

I was a little reluctant to buy something so small and thin for 80 big ones but I was convinced by my photog friend who swears by it. The conversation started when I was complaining about my back and my feet. I tried switching shoes (even wearing tennis shoes to a wedding), which definitely helped. But in the end, I was still feeling pretty beat up after a wedding (I don't have good feet in the first place). I realized that no matter what I was wearing, if I'm carrying 10-15 pounds of equipment during the wedding day, I'm going to have a little bit of pain.

what I love about the Waist Shooter is that it allows me carry my 3 essential lenses (two in the bag and one on my camera): the 85mm, the 24mm and the 70-200. I then leave everything else in a safe place at the reception hall. I really don't need my 100mm or my wide angle with me at all times, so I leave this on my assistant or in the safe place. Sometimes I wear the Waist Shooter around my shoulder and sometimes I wear it around my belt. This has helped a ton as far as reducing pain goes. It allows me to last until the very last dance (or whenever they book me till :) with more energy than I normally have when my dogs are barking (i.e. feet are killing me).

It's a MUST HAVE for any wedding tog.

I bought this sleeve to protect my Canon Elph while backpacking. The neoprene provides good shock protection, but its still slim enough to slip into my pocket. The zippered side pocket is perfect for keeping an extra memory card or two. The only thing missing is a belt loop, but you can easily add a carabiner to the carrying strap loop.

I took a chance selecting this camera case when the description stated that it was designed for the Nikon P520. Since I knew that the P510 is sized so closely to the P520, I was pleased to find out that the MegaGear Ever Ready case would fit perfectly. I have been looking for this type of leather case for over a year, and finally discovered this one. The quality is excellent and highly recommend this case for being useful as the daily "go to" case. I am using my camera much more often because this case offers excellent protection and easy portability without the bulk of a bag case. I do not think I will ever use my old bag case again. Excellent quality. Loved the feel of it, but it was too big for the camera (even though it states it is for the Nikon P520). The reason for the return was that the side part that you have to put the camera into blocks all access to the ports for charging so I'd have to take it out every time I wanted to do anything (I have a wireless remote adapter that wouldn't work while in the case either). In addition, the lens covering part was a pain to manage. It was just going to be more hassle and work than it was worth. I was looking for ease of use, and this was not it. Great concept, excellent materials, poor execution and fit. Returned.

Very well-made of sturdy leather and fits the Nikon P520 very well. The front piece does have a little extra length to it, but I believe that gives the lens coverage a little more rigidity and "bump room" to prevent damage from direct frontal impact. If I have any complaint at all it would be that the strap I received seems narrower and thinner than that shown in the picture. Also, where the picture shows a finished rolled edge to the strap, the one I received was simply a flat, cut edge that's not very comfortable when the weight of the camera is on your bare neck. Except for that, it's a good product at a fair price.

For the price, this bag offers a good mix of protection and accessibility. It is rather comfortable to carry, the padded camera pocket provides enough space for my D7000 with 18-200 mounted, a 35mm prime, sigma 8-16mm wide angle, and all my other accessories. There is also a top zippered and buckled pocket that I use to carry my personal belongings. The bag is decently rigid, without feels like a big box. The padding is acceptable, but I placed the unused dividers to give extra padding to the camera body. The best part about the bag is the super quick and easy accessibility of the camera. Just swing the bag to your front, unzip and start taking pictures; it's the primary reason I went with the sling instead of the backpack. I already own a large bag that I use for taking on hiking trips and I was looking for something that could carry some of my camera gear for casual use. I saw the Manfrotto sling bag on sale with manufacture's mail in rebate so I decided to give it a shot. The bag was large enough to fit my kit lens, 70-200mm, 50mm, flash, batteries and accessories with room to fit probably another lens. The compartment to hold the lens/camera is fairly large and my biggest complaint is that there are not as many dividers to break up the compartment into smaller sections. There is only the main compartment which holds the camera body + mounted lens(up to a 70-200mm lens)and a compartment next to it that is divided into 3 (two compartments side by side that are covered by flaps and a section above those compartments. I wish that it would come with another divider to give you the option of adding another compartment. There is also a small top compartment that can hold some accessories ect which is secured with the buckle, zipper and Velcro (a bit overboard, but I guess that would guarantee that nothing will fall out.

The bag slings over your shoulder with an additional strap to add extra support. This is my first sling bag and I can say that it is not as comfortable as a regular bag, probably because most of the weight is concentrated on only one strap compared to two on a traditional backpack. I can stand using it for an hour or two but after that, it becomes tiresome to carry around.

I have not tried using the supplied straps to carry a tripod on the bag yet. the straps are fairly small so I would only suggest using them on small and light tripod.

Pros:

Competitively priced w/ a rebate and it was also on sale

Fits more than enough equipment for the causal user and probably enough equipment for a semipro photographer

Padded compartments to keep your equipment safe

Cons:

With a little more provided accessories (more dividers) users would be able to use the space more efficiently.

Not too comfortable for extended use

Other thoughts:

I have carried my larger 70-200 lens in the accessory compartment so that I don't always have to have it mounted to the body if I want to put the camera back in the bag.

Would be nice to be able have to option to change the way that the bag slings over your body (it currently slings from your right shoulder to the left waist)

Bag is good, I don't knock it for the price, I'm able to store two DSLR bodies, a 70-200, 24-105, 17-40, and 50mm plus one 580ex 2 flash. So that's the good part, the downside is after carrying a bag with all that gear the one strap over your shoulder starts to put a strain on you. I still believe the bag is worth getting as a 2nd bag, my main bag is a Tenba double strap bag which gives better back support than a single strap. I got this bag during cyber Monday so it was worth it for me :)

The case is being represented as a product for Nikon camera products when it was actually designed for Sony camera products. The quality is very cheap and it is greatly over sized for the camera that is was supposed to protect. The tripod is cheap plastic and was broken upon delivery. The company selling the product said they would take it back for a 20% restocking fee, but then said because I was a Amazon customer they would lower the restocking fee to 10%. They really hit a homerun with me when they said (paraphrasing)they really didn't care about the tripod issue because it was free anyway. But the best was when the representative asked if I could possibly keep the case and give it as a gift. Are you kidding???

I offered to copy and paste their e-mail onto Facebook... They waived all restocking fees and issued an RMA

I probably won't get my refund after this rant!

It's the right size and robustly constructed The Nikon cool pix cameras that I've owned and I've owned some are very susceptible to lens scratching when they inadvertently turn on and open unprotected in a pocket they need a case and this is a nice one it fits on my belt a must for quick draw photo shooting which I absolutely need.

The soft case is lined with pading and my camera should serive a short fall. The pocket in the front is conveient for holding battery's or memory cards. 1.) You can't put anything on the inside pouches except only things like memory cards and cables. If you add batteries there is going to be a problem. The problem is that anything in those pouches causes the bag to get wider which means the lid will not close the bag.

2. ) BECAUSE the flap that holds the lid in place is magnetized which seems like a cool idea except the magnet is soooo weak that packing the bag in anyway will easily challenge the magnets ability to keep the lid closed.

3. ) Its a big girly looking, the metal around the flap to close the lid is chrome, should have been brushed metal. Even the shape which is wider on the bottom and narrower on the top makes it look somewhat like a purse. Have fun taking pictures while you walk about in the city if you're a dude.

]The only thing it has going for it is the size, you can pack the camera and 2 large lenses however look for a better bag.

I needed a bag to cart my laptop, hard drives and associated accessories to location.

The bag has a hard frame, is very roomy and pretty adaptable. It can be stacked in a pile on a cart or hand truck.

There's a little to much promotional embroidery on the bag for my tastes and it could be a little better made. And maybe a tad too colorful as well. That's why I gave 4 stars, not 5.

I am extremely pleased with this camera bag. At first I thought it might be a little too big for my needs. I wanted a day pack that I could get my Nikon D200 with 18-200mm lens attached plus carry my 70-300mm and lensbaby but not be a huge backback. It ends up this pack was the perfect size.

Pros

camera on the bottom of the pack for weight distribution

side opening for easy access to camera. Can slip the camera in and out without opening up the whole pack

pockets in the front for accessories like extra batteries and flash cards

zipper side for lap top is next to your back (I use this compartment to stick my wallet in and push it to the far side so it is more secure)

zippered compartment that will take a light weight jacket along with pockets for cell phone, pens, and keys

another compartment which I can put some snacks in

a side mesh pocket for a water bottle

Cons

as others have mentioned on Lowepro packs, no attachment for carrying a tripod

would like a few more velcro compartments on the flip side where the other velcro pockets are

would like a little more depth on mesh pocket for the water bottle

wish it came with a rain cover

I also like the fact that when you take it off and set it down it stays upright. I wore it all day (of course the camera was around my neck which made the pack pretty light) and it was very comfortable. Excellent construction and excellent price for what you get.

The Lowepro Fastpack 250 is an excellent camera and laptop bag. Although designed for a 15.4" laptop it could easily accommodate a larger computer. I put my Nikon D300 with mounted 18-200 VR lens in it with no problems. The bag fits easily under an airline seat (even on a CRJ-200) and has room in the personal gear compartment for four paperback books plus some snacks! The only negative is that the carry handle could use some padding.

I really liked this bag, except for 1 missing feature. The padding is excellent, storage is good for the size of bag and all gear is well protected. The laptop compartment is a little tight depending on the model of laptop you have. What I didn't like was the lack of a sternum strap, it had a lap belt which is good for long carries, but even with the lap belt the lack of a sternum strap means it puts alot of weight on your lower back rather than moving it up to your shoulders. The quick access design is nice and useful for getting to your camera quickly and easily.

After a lot of research online and at different store, I don't have to think twice that this DSLR-laptop backpack is closest to the perfect backpack I was looking for. I bought an Ape Case Pro for Digital Slr Cameras Large Size By: Norazza, returned it. Then got a Lowepro Slingshot 200 All Weather Backpack (Black) and compared a Nikon Backpack for DSLR, Lenses, and Laptop. Fastpack 250 clearly stood out from others in multiple aspects.

Very quick in using due to the side access to the main camera pocket.

Comfortable for long outdoor trips. Camera weight is at the bottom and all weight is adjusted well with the waist strap.

Very spacious from inside. Ample space for D60, 2 lenses, 1 camcorder, 1 flash, charger-power cable-USB cable.

Adjustable pockets with velcro.

Great protection. Very thick padding for both camera & laptop.

One backpack to carry laptop, DSLR, & camcorder.

Cleverly designed flap. The media cards in the top pockets will never fall off, as the flap stops half-way through.

One outside zipper pocket on top for quick access. One accessory pocket outside main flap.

Main pocket on top has space for cellphone, pens, markers, laptop battery-pack, accessories etc.

Great looks.

The only scope of improvement is following:

A hook/attachment option to attach the tripod carry case. (However, I still rated it as 5 star)

The solution for this problem is: Buy a small tripod which can fit in a stroller. You can take it along while going on flight and can always keep it in car on road trips.

I like the size, shape, and general construction of the Lowepro Fastpack 250. The reason for the three stars is that the configurability of the camera compartment in this backpack has a fatal flaw.

As with most camera carriers, the Fastpack 250 has a number of adjustable padded partitions to configure the camera compartment to your particular equipment. These partitions attach to the compartment using Velcro. However, unlike most similar products, Lowepro provides limited attachment points for the partitions in the compartment. Instead of making all of the walls and floor of the compartment of Velcro (soft side), Lowepro only provides a few strips and patches, meaning that you can only configure the partitions within very limited parameters. While there was plenty of room for my equipment in the compartment, I was unable to position the partitions to properly hold the equipment.

If your camera equipment consists of a small DSLR body and several small lenses, this almost fixed configuration should work. I wanted to carry a medium sized DSLR with two medium large lenses and it was not possible.

The backpack also has a waist belt with padded hip protectors. If you don't want to use the waist belt, there is no place to stow it, so it is always hanging off the sides of the bag.

The case is a great size for our Nikon P510. It fits the camera, a couple of straps, and all of the accessories no problem all without being too big and bulky. Our only complaint is that the strap is too short to be worn comfortably across your body. That was easily fixed by replacing the strap with a longer length of 1" nylon webbing we bought at the craft store.

I'm extremely picky when it comes to cases. My Rebel XTi is also my baby, and I wanted something sturdy.

Things I Love:

-Hardshell bottom, protects the lens and lets the case stand upright

-Contemporary Design, futuristic with lots of ornamental elastic piping. Hip and sporty look.

-All Zipper closures, without velcro

-Generous depth, fits my Rebel XTi with EF 28-135 IS with room to spare

-Lots of pockets, no shortage of storage

-Very nice shoulder strap

-Lots of padding

Things I don't like:

-Weatherproof main zipper. While I appreciate the thought, it's very difficult to use the zipper, and I'm always worried I'm going to break it.

-Internal lycra lens sleeve. Hole is far too small for any large-sized zoom lens (what this case was designed to accomodate) and the velcro flaps for the sleeve make it impossible to keep a hood stored on your lens.

Given the fact that I enjoy taking my Nikon D80 with me as a frequent traveling companion, I sought a holster type case that wouldn't take up much more volume than the size of the camera and a zoom lens, yet would provide it with adequate protection from travel and the elements. I've found this case to be very well designed and built. Although I've never dropped my camera, the internal suspension of the case and it's reinforced bottom should provide the camera with substantial protection. I'm very pleased with this purchase.

I bought this case after getting a lens adapter and hood for my Canon Powershot S3 IS. My camera fits perfectly and there is a lot of cushioning. It is probably too small for a full size SLR, though. The inside has a shelf with a hole in it to support an attached telephoto lens, and it folds down if you don't need it. There are three exterior pockets and one on the inside. I can carry a mini-tripod, a small battery charger, extra memory cards, lens filters, and more batteries than I will need in the pockets. The pockets are a little too small for extra lenses, but there is enough room for another on the inside. On the outside, it has the same type of mesh cushioning that you find on newer backpacks, and a cushioned strap that can be tucked away when you don't need it. My only complaint is that the zipper on top can be a little hard to open and close, but the case is pretty well balanced, so I tend to leave it open a lot anyway. It is great to have when I go hiking.

I got this bag a week ago and I have to say it's perfect, it's really small and I can put my Canon T3i with the default lens without problem and there is extra space for the charger, SD Memories!! This case is the perfect size for my Canon T3i with 18-55 mm lens and neck strap. There is additional room for an extra battery and a few other small items in the back side zippered compartment. This item appears to be strong and durable with plenty of padding for camera protection. It is not large in size, probably not much larger than the camera itself, and easy to carry. Just what I needed as an alternative to carrying my large backpack style camera case (which of course holds much more..... additional camcorder, Canon lenses, small tripod, filters, etc.)

Thank you Vangoddy store! Might the one of the most easy to use bags out there. I can carry my expensive camera with problem. It won't for all the lenses but I'm not planning to do a photo shoot on the street. Has the additional space for cables and chargers, ALL in that little compact bag. Highly recommended.

I have the Panasonic Lumix DMC-ZS1 and this case is a great fit for the camera. The case has a magnetic front button that locks easily and belt loop on the back. (The case should also be a good match for the DMC-ZS3). I used the case on vacation at Cape Cod and it was nice to always have the camera handy as well as protected. My camera was new and I wanted a case that would fit well. This case seems perfect.

I purchased two of these cases, one for me and one for my sister it is very nice, my camera fits well and it came with a screen protector for my camera, it is durable and protects my camera very well. If you have a slim camera and are looking for a slim case, this is not the case for you. i wouldn't say it is too big but it fits quite nice in any purse, but i wouldnt' put it in my jeans pocket, that would be too bulky.

This is an excellent case for my Nikon Coolpix S550. It's a small case for a relatively small point & shoot digital camera. The cam fits snug and stable within the velcro straps. The case is small enough to fit in a decent sized pocket and the outside is solid enough to keep the cam from being damaged while still not being too cumbersome inside the pocket. Also, the caribiner included allows it to be attached to a belt loop or some such and still be removed again with ease. I've actually field tested it and am quite satisfied.

I bought this for my Canon Powershot SX260 HS (which is listed as a camera it works with). It fits, but it is a VERY snug fit. Will not use it but not worth returning. I am still giving it a 4 star because of the quality of the product.

It's not as great as they make it out to be. Kind of cheaply made... really tight fit for the Canon Powershot SX260. Can't fit anything else in with it or the zipper busts open. Nice price, but not sure that I'd recommend it for quality.

Ok, I should have listened to the other reviews. I bought this for the Canon Powershot SX260 HS. It fits but it doesn't really allow you to add anything else without stretching the zipper where it ends up not really zipping. It's ok if you just have the camera. I don't like to put the camera on the side with the velcro straps because the camera has slipped out when opening the case.

After about 3 months of use the zipper busted completely. It zips but the zipper doesn't seal/stay together. I don't use my camera that often, either. It is a very cute case and fits my Canon Powershot perfectly. Unfortunately I feel I can't rate it higher because of the durability issues.

I was expecting something a little bigger. The camera I just purchased fits but I am afraid to put anything else in the case because one way puts pressure on my lens and the other way may scratch my glass where my screen monitor is. I would not buy again.
