Update on 9/7/2010 I have used it for 5 months, and the loops used to hang the holster around the belt are coming apart. The material is not as solid.

My Canon 5D MII and Canon-Lens(1) fits perfectly in this holster. I used the holster during the long hike last weekend, and am really happy with this buy.

Pros:

This case is perfect for the my Canon EOS. Although it's a bit long, it accommodates the telephoto lens when I'm planning to use it for long shooting. There are pockets for extra filters and memory cards. It's sturdy, but soft and absorbs small bumps reasonably well. The handle is handier than I thought it would be, offering another grip when I'm overloaded. An excellent buy if one doesn't mind the "snout."

This case is exactly what I needed, only slightly bigger than the camera itself. I have a Canon T2i with a 15-85mm lens on it, which is a quite a bit bulkier than the 18-55mm stock lens. There is enough room to fit some things in the inside pocket (extra battery, lens pen, memory cards). And also tuck the whole camera strap inside without putting pressure on the camera. The stretchy pocket on the outside is perfect for holding the lens cap while you shoot. Zipper is well made. This will probably not fit a super long zoom lens but I haven't tried.

Padding is medium thickness. It will probably not keep your camera undamaged if you drop it from 5 feet onto pavement. It's good for minor bumping and packing it inside other bags.

The first thing that I expect from a case for a relatively expensive digital camera is to be protective, then the design, color, price and etc. come after that. This case's material is good for the small and light point-and-shoot cameras but for the DSLRs this type of material is not protective and the camera would be at the risk of damage.

Tamrac 5749 Velocity 9 Pro Photo Sling Pack (Black) Reviews

I primarily purchased the Tamrac 5749 Velocity 9 because I could not decide between a back pack style camera case and a traditional "gadget" bag camera case. The new "sling" concept seemed to offer the best of both worlds. I wanted to use this bag as a travel case for my digital SLR and assortment of lenses and external flash.

This bag had plenty of room inside to store all of my gear (1 camera body, 4 zoom lenses, 1 external flash, batteries, media cards, etc.) However, when lugging this sack of bricks around, the sling turned out to be very uncomfortable. All of the weight rests solely on your one shoulder and it is not distributed very well. Using the waist straps made the weight more bearable, but then the swing around feature of the sling could not be used until disconnecting the waist strap. After sliding the bag around to your front, it is too large and difficult to open to easily access your camera gear without first loosening up the shoulder strap. By the time I had to undo the waist strap, swing the bag around, loosen the shoulder strap, and undo the lid 3 fasteners and access my camera from an awkward angle, I have given up all hope that this bag would make my travel more convenient.

Also, the internal velcro system and cushioned dividers seems very cheap when compared to my Cannon gadget bag. The foam inside the dividers is pretty soft and not as rigid as I would have expected.

Another reason I was excited about this bag was the M.A.S. system that allows you to attach a variety of removable storage components at will. This is very cool and I purchased the MX5398 water bottle carrier and the MX5379 XL lens case. I was pleased with both of these accessories; they seemed to be well-made and durable.

All-in-all, I have to give this item the thumbs down for practicality and usability. I think the design is good and would probably work well for the smaller sized bag when only carrying a point and shoot lightweight camera and a few media cards or other accessories. I think the sling concept is just not as friendly for this large bag when carrying a DSLR or 35MM with interchangeable lenses.

This is just my two cents I am no professional photographer, this is just my down to earth experience with this model.

The cut out diagram only indicates how the bag can be packed. The pictures of the actual product clearly show the whole front does not unzip. There is a mesh pocket over a zipped pocket area with dividers for storing and organizing smaller items. The main compartment is accessed from the top only. On the inside of the main compartment's cover flap is another zippered pocket for items like batteries and CF cards.

The bag itself only weighs about 2 lbs that is not a whole lot for a bag. Putting any collection of heavy objects in any bag will make it weigh more. I learned the hard way to pack the equipment I need, and leave what I don't at home/in the hotel.

If you choose not to use the waist strap, of course all the weight will rest on one shoulder. The bag was made to include the use of the waist strap with the quick release buckle! The weight of the bag will not distribute as intended otherwise.

I don't think a backpack will make my equipment any lighter. Distribution of weight is on the waist and one shoulder for the sling, and on two shoulders for a similar size backpack. If I only use one shoulder strap of the backpack like many people do, then all the weight would only be on one shoulder. Neither is better than the other in this respect, just different.

For travel I found the sling to be handy. I've been able to swing it around and get what I need out of it fairly easily. This is not always a natural feeling task though and requires some thought in how to pack the bag. I tend to pack the big lenses first and smaller ones on top in the main compartment. While I will change lenses, I have the lens I think I'm going to use the most already on my Canon 20D ready to shoot and stored in the center like the diagram shows. The pocket inside the main compartment's cover flap is the most awkward area to access and holds the smaller items I don't need to get at that often. The outside pockets are the easiest areas to access. I have never needed to loosen the shoulder straps to get what I need out of the bag. I'm tall and slender, so maybe a person's body type makes a difference in how well the sling function works.

The sling is especially beneficial for mass transit situations and crowds. While visiting cities like Rome, or Paris I prefer to use mass transit instead of renting a vehicle or hiring cabs. Crowded buses at rush hour in some European cities or even here in the States are known to be prime pick pocket territory. I can swing the bag around to my front and it is in clear site. I can even sit with it on my front comfortably.

I have owned this bag for about 2 years now. I loved it so much I bought one of the smaller versions for my Lumix FZ-15. I am one of those guys who has yet to find a backpack that is right sized, accessible, well made, comfy and doesn't scream ROB ME! I also can't stand slinging a standard gadget bag and trying to take pictures at the same time. And for you back pain complainers, I have had a herniated disc for 4 years now and I have no issue.

So I bought the Vel 9 since it looked like an intriguing compromise between the standards. The only issue I agree with is that I would not want to be climbing or carrying this all day on my back. That's why I'm still searching for the perfect backpack for me. But for a few hours at a sports event, or the zoo, or at any other venue where you want your lenses with you, I think this does a fabulous job.

However, like anything, you need to be in tune with what you want and try it first. Therefore, if this interests you, go try one out at a store. Even take your gear with you to see if it covers you and the weight. For me, it's like having a top access gadget bag that slings enough like a backpack that it doesn't fall off your shoulder but definitely doesn't give you full panel access like a backpack does. WHAT IT DOES give you is EASY ACCESS on the body! I hate the idea of taking a backpack off every time I need to change something. It does take a little to get used to but I find that when I want to zip out the d-rebel for a quick pic or change a lens, it just takes a quick reach over the shoulder to slide the pack up and over to your chest, one or two clips and you have what you need.

As for the complaints about the compartments, they are fully flexible and basically aligned in 3 "tubes" with different"floors" you can put in depending on what you are stacking in the tube. So your camera takes up most of the center "tube" and the outside 2 hold lenses. I keep my 35-135IS zoom on the camera, with my 50mm on the very bottom of the center tube under the end of the IS lens. My flash sits in the bottom of one of the side tubes with my wide angle on top of it (divider in between). Finally, my 70-200L lens sits on the other side. Most important, the gear underneath is actually quite easy to access because the dividers easily flip up to get things out.

Since I actually have the camera in my hand most of the time, the remaining weight in the bag is no issue for most of the time. If its all in there it can be a little heavy, but again, I'm not carrying it for hours. If it does start to annoy me on the shoulder, I actually take it off and sling it like a bag over the other shoulder for awhile.

In summary, the concept of this bag is unique enough that most people are going to either love it or hate it. To find out which one you are, I suggest trying it at a camera store that stocks it. If you want a pretty large bag that carries all of a standard SLR kit and complement of lenses, allows you on the fly access without showing the world what you have and stays securely on your back, this is it!

I previously owned a Velocity 7, but had to move up in size once I began using a 300mm lens as my prime, working lens. For me (a 54 year-old man with occassional back troubles), the Velocity 9's ability to sit square in the center of my back is critical for an even weight while hiking. On a shoot (I am a wildlife photographer)in the back country, I can swing the bag around quickly and rapidly access my camera without any noise to scare off the animal I am focused on. I carry two other lenses, all my memory, and other photographer's paraphenalia (sp?) with ease. A great bag in my book.

My criteria for bags is non-negotiable, and finding a bag that fits this criteria took a long time. First, it has to be top loading. Second, it needs to have at least one side pocket, and one front pocket. Third, a bright interior is a huge plus. Fourth, it needs to be reasonably weather-proofed. Finally, it needs to be well-padded.

I was pleasantly surprised when I found this bag online after hours of searching. I had spent several more hours at camera shops around the city, and the prices they were asking, for bags that did not meet all of my criteria, was not justifiable for me. So, I thought taking a chance on the Ape Case was a measured risk. I'm probably not the only one who has had that experience. Frankly, I looked at the price of this case and wondered why they were charging so little when all other bags were double the price. But, I ordered anyway.

I ordered the medium instead of the large, as the internal dimensions are identical in length and width. The medium bag is about one inch shorter in height. Ultimately, internal dimensions are the most important to me, and I didn't think that missing one inch of height would be a big deal. So, I went with the medium. (Sidenote: If the internal dimensions of the large are really almost exactly the same, as all the websites I found suggested, the large bag can certainly not be considered large.)

Now for the bag itself. The side pocket is a little "tight." It has spots for extra memory cards, and several elastic loops for pens, etc. But, this side pocket can't really be stuffed full. Over time the material may relax to give more flexibility. The front pocket is the same, so don't buy this bag expecting to be able to jam those pockets full of goodies.

One of my favorite features is the zip pocket on the front flap, just above where the Ape Case logo is sewn on. That is ideal when traveling for putting flight tickets and passports in. On that note, the first week I got this bag I got caught in monsoon-type weather. Despite having an umbrella, my bag got soaked as I walked. Inside my bag was my camera, lens, battery, and my passport. Once I was inside the train station I opened up my case to assess the damage. But, there wasn't any. Not a single drop had gotten through, and the bag had been exposed to more than a reasonable amount of rain.

The following week I was on the street, and dropped my fully loaded bag onto the concrete. Again, I sat down and opened up the case to assess the damage. Again, there wasn't any. Everything was exactly where I had put it when I packed for that day.

The interior is obviously bright yellow, and it makes opening the bag a joy in itself.

The only thing I changed on the bag was with the clasps that hang off each side of the bag. In total, there are three. One clasp closes the front flap. Then, there are two more, one on the left and one on the right, used to keep the bag more tightly shut, I guess. I cut off the two on the sides of the bag off. I'll never use them, they're clunky, and they make it needlessly difficult to get into the bag. Also, the clasps are made of very light weight plastic. I'm not sure how long the remaining clasp will last. But, I assume it serves a dual purpose: it cuts weight and cost.

Overall, this bag meets and exceeds my criteria for a camera case. Don't let the price deter you. It might be half the price of a lot of other camera bags, but it is not half the camera bag. In the few short weeks I've had it, it's been put through more than it's fair share of abuse, and has performed better than I would have ever expected. Ultimately, this bag gives me what I most expect from a bag: security. I can put my camera and travel documents inside, and know that they are safe and sound.

Just got done configuring this case, I'm already in love. Plenty of space, I have all my cords, guides, storage, power, filters, 3 lenses (2 long), camera, covers, cleaning, and a monopod on here and still have room for a flash and battery grip (my next upgrades). Tough shell, nice padding, indiscriminate look. Especially appreciate the metal hooks for the shoulder strap. Glad I didn't get the small version, but I won't need anything bigger for a long time. Highly recommended.

securely in this bag with all the dividers. Plus extra filters, and assorted junk in all the outer pockets.

...and carry it comfortably.

As others have noted the yellow interior really is a help.

The only thing I would change is that the 3 latches for the top are a little loose, so if you don't zip the bag when you are wanting easy access, when you lift it by the top handle, it always feels insecure. It really isn't (3 latches work fine with a good overlap top to side for protection), but I wish it didn't scare me everytime I lift it.

When I first saw the name "Ape Case" on this camera bag, I didn't think much of it, except, "what a goofy name". So, just out of curiosity, I clicked on the product link, on Adorama, actually, and just had to take a look.

I really liked the bright yellow interior, and the reviews were overwhelmingly positive. And the price was right in the neighborhood to fit my budget.

I finally narrowed my choices down to the Ape Case, but didn't know which one, the Medium, or the Large bag. I decided to go with the Medium, as it was a bit cheaper, and figured if I didn't think it was big enough, I'd send it back and go with the Large. Well, it turns out that my Canon T2i wearing a battery grip with 18-55mm kit lens, 55-250mm f/4-5.6 IS zoom, Speedlite 430, battery charger and cord, camera and lens owners manuals, Lens Pen, video and USB cables, lens caps, set of filters, timer remote, and probably a few other things all live in the Medium size bag, still with room to spare... I think I could still get at least 2 more lenses in there comfortably... room to grow! The only difference between the Medium and the Large, is that the Large is about an inch or so deeper, the length and width measurements are the same. If you have a full frame Pro body like an EOS 1D or similar, or some longer zooms, you might want the Large bag, for the extra depth.

One thing I am having a bit of a dilemma with, though, is creating the optimum arrangement in the main compartment. As the bag comes, everything fits perfectly in the compartments as they are arranged, as long as I have the 18-55mm lens on the body... but the 55-250mm zoom will not fit when installed on the body. So, I removed one of the dividers (they are held in place by velcro) and rearranged the remaining dividers to make room for the body and tele zoom installed. But now, that left me with 2 less "compartments", but actually more "room". All the dividers are removeable, so you can customize this bag to your needs. You just have to decide exactly what your needs are, and how to arrange your bag.

The divider that is made for the body and installed lens actually elevates the body/lens up off the bottom of the bag, making a "secret compartment" under it where you can store seldom used parts like the body cap or ???.

The bag has excellent construction, and good thick (feels like a closed cell foam) padding. Unless the bag gets run over by a truck, or sat on by an elephant, everything inside will be well protected. I've not had it in the rain yet, but I think it would take quite a downpour for any water to make it's way inside. The bag top is held shut by a double zipper, and then secured with a plastic snap clasp on both sides and in the center also. If you hide both zipper handles under the front flap, then secure all the snap clasps, it would be quite difficult for anyone in a crowd to get their hand inside the bag without you knowing about it... it's good and secure. But, that same security also means that it does take a bit of doing to get inside yourself, also. If you need quick access, you could leave the zippers open, and just secure the front clasp, but sacrifice some of the security.

The shoulder strap has a rubberized pad on it, and it stays on my shoulder fairly well. It gets the job done.

There are zippered pockets on the top cover and flap, inside and out, on the right side of the bag outside, and the front of the bag outside. The left side of the bag outside has a mesh pocket secured with a drawstring and keeper ball. I haven't figured out yet what to keep in there, I wish it was another zippered pocket instead, to be honest. I guess it would be good to carry an 8-pack of AA batteries for the Speedlite.

In all, I'm pretty satisfied with the Ape Case Medium bag. Excellent protection for everything inside, the bright yellow interior makes it easy to see dark colored items like lens caps and lens pens, and it has enough room inside of all my stuff and then some.

I like this bag, but I wish the external walls were stiffer. The interior is spacious enough for my Nikon D300 w/18-200 lens and with the MB-D10 battery attachment with room leftover for the detached flash unit and some other minor accessories. If the 18-200 lens were detached from the body, I could have squeezed another lens in the bag. That makes it a little too heavy for my taste. Besides, I like the 70-200 lens attached for that quick candid shot or the fleeting deer on the side of the road. The bright yellow interior of the case is a definite plus when looking for those small black camera things hiding on the bottom. The Velcro lined segments are very versatile if you want to customize the interior. Personally, I don't have the patience for it. It's a good bag. You shouldn't be disappointed with it. Joe

The case is being represented as a product for Nikon camera products when it was actually designed for Sony camera products. The quality is very cheap and it is greatly over sized for the camera that is was supposed to protect. The tripod is cheap plastic and was broken upon delivery. The company selling the product said they would take it back for a 20% restocking fee, but then said because I was a Amazon customer they would lower the restocking fee to 10%. They really hit a homerun with me when they said (paraphrasing)they really didn't care about the tripod issue because it was free anyway. But the best was when the representative asked if I could possibly keep the case and give it as a gift. Are you kidding???

I offered to copy and paste their e-mail onto Facebook... They waived all restocking fees and issued an RMA

I probably won't get my refund after this rant!

It's the right size and robustly constructed The Nikon cool pix cameras that I've owned and I've owned some are very susceptible to lens scratching when they inadvertently turn on and open unprotected in a pocket they need a case and this is a nice one it fits on my belt a must for quick draw photo shooting which I absolutely need.

I used this on an Ipod Nano. It's not super easy to put on, but if you follow the directions it's not real hard either. You just have to be a little careful, and once it's on it works great, very tuff material.

I am very dissatisfied with this product. It is not at all as easy to install as they make it seem and it actually doesn't even cover the "full body". When I read full body, I am expecting NO GAPS.

I am irritated I wasted the money and next time I will be more weary about products like this.

I am assuming this product is best for flat/button free products like the iPod touch.

ZAGG should offer a money back guarantee but then they probably wouldn't make much money.

I think the film will provide excellent scratch protection. It was tricky to apply the film so that it met properly in the back and either the sponge or the cleaning cloth left a few little black specks under the film that I could not remove with more solution. Not a huge deal but I think sticking with the spray bottle to apply the solution would be better.

Another note. I found that the shield made my nano fit VERY tightly in the iPod hub for my home theater. I ended up removing the bottom 1/4", which is tough to do while it's on the iPod. If you use your iPod with an alarm clock or external speaker setup with a hub, you may want to cut the bottom of the film off before you apply it.

I've always had leather flip cases before, but since the ipod nano 5g has the camera and mic on the back, I needed something that would protect while still leaving those exposed. Also it would have been a shame to cover the pretty color of the ipod with a leather case! The invisibleshield truly is invisible, and though I've only had it for two weeks, it seems very durable I can just drop my ipod in my purse without a second thought. The invisibleshield also has a slightly grippy feel to it, so it is less likely to slide off a surface or slip from your hand. The cover fits well, though I had a little bit of trouble with the alignment on the back there is a little overlap on the flap that goes over the word 'iPod'. And I had a few microbubbles remain after install which didn't go away. I wouldn't mind them if they were on the body, but they're on the screen and I do notice them when looking at pictures or video. I may end up buying another shield and trying again.

Had a so-called "premium-grade" leather cell phone case break this spring, as so many of them do after about 12 to 18 months. It had cost about $30 in a local mall store, where I bought it because another case had broken and sent my phone crashing to the concrete floor. And as usual, in both cases is was the spring clip on the back that gave out.

This time I didn't want to make the same mistake, so I started searching here... then remembered that some of the camera bag makers do make cell phone cases. Last fall I had purchased and reviewed a Tamrac 3536 Express 6 Camera Bag, a product that has proven to be even better than I could have expected, so I did a search and found this Tamrac 3573 Express Phone Case (Black), which looked promising. Couldn't find much more info other than what is here in the product description, but feeling good about my experience with Tamrac's quality, decided to give it a try. The price was also good, but I did wonder just how my phone would fit within its elastic sides.

When it arrived a few days later, I took my already-battered Sanyo VI-2300 phone and slipped it into the new case. The fit was perfect, and in the case it looked exactly as pictured here. It not only has a well-stitched belt loop, but there's a Velcro attachment system allows it to be attached to a camera bag strap... or to a woman's purse strap. The black ultra-suede outer shell has held up well, and yes, it does match my camera bag, allowing it to blend in quite well. The magnetic snap closure work well, and not once has it come undone.

Since I purchased this case, I replaced the phone, and it fits perfectly as well. Below you'll find the dimension of the two phones that have been used with this case in case you wondered if yours might fit, though the case will hold a much larger phone than these.

I misunderstood the size of this case. It does not fit iphone or Blackberry size devices, it actually only fits traditional type (that is, smaller) cell phones not the larger smart phones. That may be my own fault for not researching the case I took the product description of 'fits most popular mobile phones' a bit too literally. It's a nicely made case, but if you own a smartphone this case will not fit it.

I was surprised by the perfect fit for both the Medtronic 712/723 insulin pumps and infusion cable given my desperate situation. After using the first case for over five months of very active as well as dress use, it is held up extremely well and no doubt, has been the best case for my insulin pump. I have since ordered three more due to the perfect size, durability and price as a type I diabetic on the insulin pump. The cost difference from specifically designed insulin pump belt clips is ridiculous. Possibly useful for other must carry medical devices with or without an insertion tube.

This case works ok. It just doesn't have room for accessories. It has two net pockets which is ok for extra batteries. But that's pretty much all it will carry.

I have extra filters for my SX10is and there is no real place to put the filters witouth exposing them to dirt.

Overall just an ok bag.

I wanted a camera case for my Canon Powershot SX10 IS digital camera. The vendor was very quick I received the item right away. My only complaint is the zippers. They are very flimsy & cheap, and don't slide open very easily. When I want to quickly access my camera, I have to fuss with the zipper to get it open. I think it will probably break soon; certainly will not hold up long.

The other features are ok, but I would rather have a smaller, more compact case. This one will hold extra batteries, cards, cords, and the instruction book, which many people might like. I am going to continue shopping around for a more compact case and one with high quality, working zippers.

I was hoping this was the "3 case" neoprene case and it was!!! I can't believe that amazon is not providing a picture and description (maybe they will in the future), because they would sell a lot more! I have a w10 and needed a case I could strap-on for kayaking. This is it and more. The case is quality made nylon over neoprane, with a velcro flap closure (just what I wanted, not zipper). It has a clip for attaching to belts or vests (like a gerber knife). It has a little groumet hole in the top flap that a little strap could go through My one wish is for a groumet hole on the bottom, for drainage while yaking. The case fits my w10 w/rubber skin perfectly! Snug, yet not too snug. No wasted space or pockets. The other two items of the "3 case" system are:

1) a stretchy nylon/neoprene waist belt with hip-snugging pockets for accessories. It is not a narrow belt, but suprisingly wide like a fanny pack (maybe 6-7") yet snug like a back support. This too could be used while swimming. Maybe put dead fish pieces in the pockets to feed the sharks?

2) an arm/ankle? band, same nylon over neopren, velcro's around the arm. It looks a little like a blood pressure strap. I would guess it is for snorkling/swimming too. Perfect for active stuff like fishing, boarding, triathalons, etc.

Both of the above belts integrate with the case. They have a slot into which the case's clip fits snuggly.

Pretty cool system, I recommend it! I wish there had been a review before I bought it because it was a gamble. But it was just what I wanted. Really high quality and fully functional.

The case in the picture is all black and looks like leather. The one I received is black and red and looks nothing like the picture. I looked carefully through all the different cases before choosing this case which cost more money than some of the others. I paid more money for this case and received the wrong case. I chose to keep it because it is functional and it is a hassle to send things back. I must say I am not happy about it but will use it anyway.

Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program I like that this has plenty of storage as well as some soft, removable internal storage walls that can be reconfigured the way that you need. This bag should safely carry your camera with the high powered lens along with a good-sized laptop, as well as some odds and ends. I do like the waterproof cover that is lightweight and stretches on. Though it's only held in place by a stretchy band, it appears to stay on well.

Unfortunately, the overall construction of this backpack is cheaper than I expected, especially for the price. I own a regular laptop backpack that wasn't too much money, but the quality puts this one to shame. The arms on this feel MUCH cheaper. The mesh on this Case Logic is similar to another backpack I bought years ago that unraveled/shredded over time with minimal use.

Then there's the zippers...except for the laptop compartment, these also feel cheap. They catch almost every time I try to open them, to the point where I keep wondering when they'll break. I also own a Case Logic storage bag I use for my portable DVD player. It was bought years ago. Though the zipper is small, that one is built to last, and has never caught despite my children roughly zipping it open and shut. It was a tiny fraction of this price. Clearly, things have changed over time.

The waist clip is big (great), yet the chest clip is a bit smaller than I'm used to. Additionally, it can easily come apart (like it did with us, since top clip straps are not sewn to bag, but TIED. Getting one back on is harder than when it falls off (took a little while to get it back on securely, yet it just popped off after undoing a clip and straightening out the strap).

The bottom clips have a metal part that seems to be a good replacement for a single moulded plastic part. Yet, these giant partial paperclip-looking things move within the holes when any pressure is applied to piece. Therefore, it appears that these are merely bent and inserted into the holes on the plastic and that's it-not an ideal hinge that inspires great confidence in the overall strength in such a critical area of the bag.

Overall, I like the storage and rain cover and relative comfort when wearing, but I wish this was made durable enough to last.

3. No compartment on strap for cell phone not essential, but really handy

4. One external strap can possibly hold a tripod, but not very securely.

5. No water bottle pocket, but I guess you can attach one with a carabiner

6. Nice canvas zipper pulls, but I can see the pull tab breaking off from the slider, as that part is pretty thin. I wouldn't recommend grabbing the bag by the zipper pulls (if that's all you can reach without getting up.)

This is now the biggest camera bag of the three that I own, and probably the one I will be using for travel in the future.

It has separate compartments for your laptop (up to 15.6 inches), your camera, your lenses, your tripod, and other stuff. It has zips and pockets everywhere. There's even a pocket that's perfect for storing your SD cards. And it comes with a waterproof cover. Seriously, they've thought of everything.

It is a little pricey, but it's worth it. You're not going to find a better digital SLR and laptop backpack anywhere. Highly recommended.

Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program When I had a film Canon SLR, I would have died for a bag like this to hold both the camera and lenses (I had four lenses total) and the laptop computer I didn't have at the time. Even now with my slightly less cumbersome carrying needs, I still find it difficult to find a bag that will hold everything I need to take with me on a trip.

I take a traditional point-and-shoot with a larger fixed lens, a smaller point-and-shoot, a digital camcorder, smart phone, laptop, batteries, cables, etc. and end up walking through the airport with an aching shoulder because I could only find the worst of tote bags that would hold everything and still go through as a carry-on.

With this bag I can secure my larger camera in the main camera compartment and place my smaller camera, camcorder, and other accessories on the "shelves" intended for lenses. I also love the additional padding in the laptop storage space and feel like I could fit my laptop and e-reader in there for travel.

I'm a shortie and smaller and liked how I could adjust these straps for a snug and bounce-free fit. it is sometimes hard to get an "adult" product that will work with odd heights, so I consider anything that does a keeper.

In short, this bag is a slice of heaven on earth for those of us who like "a place for everything and everything in its place." It should easily suit those with DSLR camera carrying needs as well as those of us with a hodgepodge of lesser digital camera and media equipment. I wish I would have had this when I traveled to a blogging convention in mid-2012 -it would have saved my shoulder and made the experience more fun as I could have whipped out my camera in a flash (side access) to take a picture then secured as needed for general hopping. Live and learn.
