I did like the purse, but found it to be much too heavy for me so I returned it. I was surprised that I did not get a full refund. I paid $199 for it but only received a refund for $190 and I paid the $20.00 to return the item. So, it cost me $30.00. That did surprise me.

i was so excited to get this case for my new samsung mv800. when it came in the mail i was surprised at how small it was, but figured since my camera was small it should probably fit. well, it doesnt. the top flap doesn't even close and the corners of the camera stick out which defeats the purpose really of having a case for protection. it sucks cause its so cute but just does not get the job done. not even my sisters' compact sony camera fit into it. what a waste. it would be so nice if only it was a little bigger.

I bought this photo backpack for a photographic trip to the Peruvian Amazon in 2006. I wanted something that I could carry onto a plane, tote around the cities and sites that I visited (Lima, Cusco, Machu Pichu, etc.) and finally protect my photo equipment in the jungle. This bag did that well.

It held almost my entire 35mm digital photo system, including:

Yes, it was heavy. Fortunately I had a strong young guide who helped me with in on the long hikes through the jungle.

This is a heavy-duty, pro-quality bag. Although Tamrac is more of a pro-sumer manufacturer, I would put this item up against anything made by Tenba or Lowepro. I give it four stars only because the interior dividers were not flexible enough (or plentiful enough) to allow me to make use of all of the space inside of this large-ish backpack. There was a lot of vertical space wasted which let some of the equipment shift up and down inside of the bag.

I really like this case and I still use it often. If you need to carry expensive equipment around rugged areas, I would recommend this item.

I was looking for a singular solution to carry a wide range of gear in. I tried the Tenba Shootout and Lowepro Trekker 300AW but they lacked the interior space. Then a friend suggested the Tamrac 5258.

After trying several layouts, I was finally able to arrange the pack to handle the following in the main compartment:

Canon 1DMK III

Canon 300mm f2.8

Canon 100-400mm f4-5.6L IS

Canon 24-105mm f4L IS

Canon MP-E 65mm

Canon 1.4x and 2x converters

Canon 580EX II flash

It was nice to be able to pack everything into one bag but it is a hefty load. Another bonus is that with the main compartment full, I still have plenty of room for my notebook. Other packs, when fully loaded, seem to compress the notebook pocket.

The 5258 has plenty of small zipper pockets inside the main flap and the front pocket for batteries, memory cards, pens/notepad, cell phone, and other various odds and ends. The biggest drawback is that there are no side pockets, no water bottle pocket or rain cover. All this has to be purchased separately. Side pockets would have been nice to store battery chargers, notebook power cables and larger accessories.

The 5258 is a great pack-mule for your gear but a little large for day hikes or romping around the zoo. I'm going to supplement the 5258 with a Velocity 7x (to tote an extra lens, flash, etc) that should be more practical for short outings.

I bought this bag knowing I required a lot of room for my equipment. This bag doesn't disappoint! It's a tad heavy however considering what my camera equipment is worth, I feel the little extra heaviness of it gives me a little piece of mind. And, it's not too heavy that I can't carry it. I recently went to South America and my bag including equipment weighed 31 pounds. Now that might seem heavy for some people, but the bag was extremely comfortable to carry.

Pros:

~ I love the fact that I can lock it to not only my waist but upper body also

~ It's made for the M A S system so you can add accessories like the water bottle (I highly recommend that one)

~ Lots of padding especially when you are going to carry a lot of equipment

Cons:

~ I had a hard time putting it in the overhead bin on the puddle jumpers. But, considering they are smaller planes with smaller overhead compartments, I still was able to put it away. And, I think that if you don't over stuff it like I did, it will always fit in the overhead.

I have been using Lowepro bags for a long time and I'm always amazed at the simplicity of the design. This bag is perfect as my daily grab-and-go bag for my Pentax K-7 kit. It's weather-proof, just like my Pentax gear so I don't have to worry about the occasional rain or snow shower. I keep my SLR with a prime lens in one side (actually laying on the side with the grip facing up for quick access) and have room on the other side for another lens and some filters. The strap is well made and is easy to adjust. The zippers are well made and zip easily open and closed. The bag has an overall well-made fit and finish and is a joy to use. The top handle is padded and very comfortable to hold for short periods or while moving the bag around. Like most other top-flap designed bags, the handle on the top isn't very useful unless the bag is zippered and clasped closed. A short handle strap instead of a handle would have been a better choice for me, but I'm really nitpicking here.

The memory card pockets and zippered pocket on the inside face of the top cover are perfectly placed. There are a couple of elastic pockets on the outside of each end of the bag along with a zippered pocket on the back (probably only large enough for pamphlets or a map) as well as a compact zippered pocket on the front where I keep some smaller filters. If you have a compact DSLR and are looking for a compact bag to go along with it, I would highly recommend this bag. I can sling it over my shoulder and take it with me wherever I go and it hardly weighs anything. Highly recommended!

I use my bag told hold my Rebel XS as well as all my lenses and have no complaints so far. The lenses I keep in the bag are the Canon 55-250mm IS with hood reversed, the Canon 50mm f1.8, and the Canon 18-55mm IS. I can store all of them without feeling like I am cramming too much in, and can store the camera with any of the lenses attached to it. I had looked at the Nova 140, but it did not have enough space to hold the camera with the 55-250 attached, so it was out. This bag also has lots of pockets for all the goodies you need to carry, including USB cable, cards, filters, etc. This would not work for a full frame camera, but for a consumer SLR such as the Rebel XS, this fits the bill quite nicely.

This is my second Nova 160 bag--the first one (bought 10 years ago) is still going strong, but I needed a second. This bag is convenient in all the right ways. I have used this when backpacking. The small loops on the top rear of the bag allow it to be hung with carabiners from D rings on my pack straps so that the bag rides on my lower chest. This allows quick and convenient access when the wonderful vistas appear.

The older bag dated from the film camera era and had pocket designs to match (e.g., a removable film pouch for the front zippered pocket). The major difference with the new bag is pocket layout. The front pocket is somewhat smaller, and there is some reduction in volume from the folded all-weather cover which tucks under the front flap. The inside top pocket is also smaller, but the outside top flap pocket more than makes up for it. I can't easily fit the SD cards or CF cards (in their protective cases) into the inside card pockets, but they can be forced in or out. The zippered pocket at the back is the same as in the earlier model, and convenient for your camera guide and for stowing other flat documents. The all-weather cover is a newer and valuable feature.

Outside attachment points are well designed: shoulder strap attachments (strap is included with the bag), belt loop attachments (belt sold separately: check your local backpacking store for cheap wide nylon straps and fasteners) and the top loops at the back for front mounting the bag to your pack straps.

You can easily stow a digital SLR with mounted lens, one additional small to medium sized lens, two screw-on filters, a couple of lens hoods, and maybe your battery charger and cord (with tight packing).

This case exceeded my expectations. It has more of a classicly stylish appearance rather than just a modern or utilitarian look to it and is very well made. I purchased this case at the last minute because I was leaving for a vacation to Disney World and didn't want to spend $200 for a new case but also didn't want my new D-Lux 5 getting banged around and scratched. I couldn't be happier. It was very easy to carry around and while it was slightly snug, it seemed to fit the camera just fine. I bought this case for my Lumix LX3 and was concerned it would fit, but it fits perfectly. Apparently the new cases are slightly enlarged to accommodate the Lumix which is essentially the same camera as the Leica (except for that tiny strap eyelet which was enough previously to make the Lumix NOT fit). I did not have to alter the bag at all to get the Lumix to fit.

It is not obvious in the photo but there is a shoulder strap for this bag. It is manufactured for Leica and comes in a Leica box. It is expensive but it is well made and it's always better to spend more on a well made product than save money on a product that is not well made, because in the end you'll spend more buying again. This bag will not need to be replaced. This bag will last you you life and maybe even one of your kids lives too. It's simple, sturdy, and smart looking. It could double as a bag for doing tasks other than photography too which is a plus if you need to use it in a pinch. It holds one body and 2 lenses nicely. I have even gotten a few batteries and my charger in here too. Is has a top foam flap to cover the rear LCD screen when facing up. Shoulder pad is padded and is comfortable. It is just a bag but being well made, functional, not too big and not too small and with great leather materials all add up to make this an artists bag, not just some canvas junk from Best Buy. If I ever need a second bag, I'll be getting another one of these. Also, for me, black is best. It does not get dirty easy and goes with just about any outfit and event. Black also tends to not stand out either. I am always trying to be discrete. If Indiana Jones carried a Leica, believe me, he'd have this bag too.

i own two Billingham bags, including this Combination bag for Leica, which is perfect for 2 lenses and 2 bodies, or just 1 body and up to 3 lenses, depending on size. the front outer zippered pocket is deep and can hold all manner of random things, including a charger quite easily. shoulder strap is nice and wide and comes with a stiff, leather strap attachment that makes it even easier on your shoulder, should you want to carry everything. It comes with several velcro inserts you can adjust to your needs. The top flaps, when secured, make the bag almost completely weatherproof. All Billingham bags are quality craftsmanship. I've *never* felt as though they weren't worth the price.

I just received this case. It fits my Sony NEX-7 like a glove. The quality of the leather is exceptional. I also like the color (camel/brown as opposed to the traditional black). It enhances both the appearance of the camera as well as the handling. It improves the users grip on the camera and provides some measure of protection aginst bumps and knocks to the camera body. Nikon seems to enjoy deception in descriptions of it's products. This one makes two in a row that I encountered (the first being the camera itself). I appreciate companies that sell products honestly. I suppose deception is now the new norm in the world. What a shame.

I was looking for the absolute minimum sized bag for my Nikon V1 with 10mm f2.8 mounted + 10-30mm +30-110mm and SB-N5 flash camera kit, and this is it. I put the V1 with 10mm f2,8 attached in one side of the divided bag and the10-30mm and 30-110mm lenses stacked along side in the other compartment. Camera and lenses fit perfectly and there is a pocket in the front that fits the SB-N5 flash with room to spare for a filter and extra battery.

Like all Tamrac bags, the quality of the 3440 bag is top notch, with the exception of the plastic clasp, which is sturdy, but a poor design that is difficult to latch easily and unlatch easily. The other design issues is the lack of a zipper around the top and the lack of a hook and loop tabs to secure the lens compartment so there is no possibility of having the lenses fall out when the bag is not latched.

Even though this bag is not perfect, I have replaced my Lowepro Adventura 120 (which has a better clasp and zipper at top) with this one because it holds about the same amount of equipment in a much less bulky form, (which is more important to me).

I really like the dark brown color too!

I bought this for my Olympus E-PL2 mirrorless camera and the 14-42mm & 40-150mm lenses based on Tamrac's fit chart. Well, it works, but it's snug. Have to store the camera with the 14-42 attached and the other lens separate, can't do the reverse. As far as quality and design, it's very well-made and easy to carry. All in all, I like it and it's a keeper, just wish it had a tad bit more room. One more thing, the bag is BROWN/tan, as in much browner than what is shown, but looks great nonetheless.

The only issue I have with the bag it's the fit while you wear it. I chose this product because I did not like the conventional shoulder bags, and I was looking for a small bag that I can wear comfortably for the entire day while traveling.

The bag was a perfect solution: It was very comfortable to wear and with easy access to the camera. It is very secure type bag since it is wrapped over the chest. I did not worry about losing it, or that someone will reap it from my shoulder. The bag accommodated my Canon rebel with a telephoto lens comfortably and in the inside pockets to the left and right sides of the lens I kept a small flash and extra battery with recharger.

My only complaint was the zipper pullers-since they were large and made from metal, they made a lot of noise rattling. I removed them and replaced them with 6 new zipper pullers from REI that cost $1.50 or so a package.

This case is exactly as pictured and as described. It comfortably fits a digital SLR camera with lens. Our 55mm lens fits comfortably, therefore a slightly longer telephoto length lens might fit as well. The inside has an extra protective insert which aids in keeping the camera from shifting. The bottom of the case protects the camera lens from hitting any surface upon which it is placed. It has ample zippered compartments for small accessories and also comes with a lens cleaning cloth. It is a great case and definitely worth purchasing.

I was not fully sure what I was going to get when ordering this camera bag, but prior positive experience with this company told me this would be a good idea. I have been so incredibly happy with this case and wish I could thank the designer! In my 30-plus years of doing photography I have never had a case that protects so very well through my easy daily shoots as well as the rough-and-tumble days of being in camera-unfreindly areas and situations. I was a little bit skeptical with the case just watching the picture. Nevertheless I took the risk because of the brand.

The case fits perfectly for the Nikon D90, and I feel comfortable with the protection offered to the lens. I specially like that the lens does not touch the bottom of the case. Instead, it has a membrane with a hole in the middle where you insert the camera through the lens. The membrane suspends the camera "in the air" within the case.

The camera is easy to insert and remove.
