A few of my comments with be in comparison with the Sony LCS-HE which housed my Sony HX1 and prompted my continuing with the Sony hard case for my Sony HX100v. Overall this is a great case. The most notable changes from its predecessor are the following: The extra battery is now held inside the case and not separate, there is also room for a spare memory card inside the case, rather than opening from the front of the case and lifted up toward the back of the case it now opens from the back toward the front of the case, and now rather than t magnet Velcro is used to keep the case closed. Overall I feel the changes are good. The change in opening direction allows the case to be left open easier is you are carying it over your shoulder or attached to your belt. One dislike is the Velcro. The magnet seemed to work just fin, and on occasion the Velcro doesn't "grab" enough and opens, this won't be a problem if it is attached to a belt, but over my neck results in the camera coming out of the case, and if the case isn't snapped on to the camera strap the camera case just falls.

The "Sony LCS-HG Soft Carrying Case" is just half the product I was looking for.

It surely keeps your camera protected. It adds the possibility of carrying an extra battery and a second memory card. And that's it.

It's not soft, it's not confortable to use it, it makes difficult to take the camera out, it makes unconfortable to keep the camera up and focusing, and once again, it makes putting the camera inside difficult. In conclusion: you end up unsure if it's better to use it or throw it away .

Why?? Remember the old days when taking the camera out and ready to use was just a matter of releasing some kind of lock, the front of the case just dropped and you were ready?? Half the shell was securely attached to your camera, you just had half the weight of the bag/pouch/case hanging right below the camera?? Well, not in this case!! You'll have to take the camera completely out. You don't have anywhere to leave the case: you'll have it all hanging from the strap, thanks (¿?) to a velcro attached lace. Oh, that will be after you manage to slide the strap trough that lace. And then you'll end up with the heavy case, plus the memory and the battery hanging as a death weight from your camera. Want to put the camera out?? Put it inside the case... wait, first slide the shoulder strap through the lace.. not an easy task, as it gets messy...

You want something strong to keep the camera protected until you arrive to your photographic destination, you can get one of these. You want something practical, fast to take off, easy to put the camera away??? Get something else!!

Case was tight and velcro often did not catch completely. Was surprised that it only would fit on a belt and did not have provision for shoulder straps. It is awkward to wear on a belt because of it's size. Because there was no provision for a neck strap or handle for carrying, I returned it and got a slightly larger case that held more, had a neck strap and handle, and costs less to boot.

Honest reviews on Sony LCS-HG Soft Carrying Case (Black)

Just like it looks. Nothing special. Its kind of awkward to have attached to a separate hand strap. The strap that comes with the camera can be threaded through this case in a way that allows you to just let the case hang from the camera when taking a picture. I haven't tried putting it on my belt, mainly because I'm not a 65 year old woman.

Very nice solid case, but when it's time to use the camera, have to lay this down somewhere since it's detached from the camera, or leave it flopping around on your neck strap. My wife got a Case Logic DCB-304 High Zoom Camera Case for her Nikon P520. Very nice and light and has two zipped compartments on the sides...wish I would have purchased that one.

Bought this to go along with the XF1 as a grad gift. Looked pretty good coming out of the box, but then: horrors! The only thing moving part that had to work, couldn't work. The little clasp was misaligned just enough that the tab could never raise up enough to lock down the strap. Not adjustable. Not usable. Will be returned tonight....

the buckle doesn't work properly, the price is ok, but after all, it's not very useful because of the buckle.

Best Deals for Fujifilm XF1 Binocular Camera Case (Red)

I couldn't tell from the description, but this is not a Fuji product. The case seems to be real leather; I'm not sure about the strap. It's a good accessory for our brown XF1 (also from Amazon). It fits well and offers protection for the camera.

Like most photo accessories, it's horribly over-priced.

Honest reviews on Fujifilm XF1 Binocular Camera Case (Red)

The buckle of the case does not lock. When the case lid is pushed down the buckle clicks and seems to lock. But when the pressure is removed, it slips out and automatically unlocks. If I use it as is, I risk losing the camera inside, because the case would opens by itself and the camera could fall out of the case. The case is also too thick, while the height and length are perfect. The inside space is about 1-7/8 inches thick. There is still about 1/2 inches of space left behind the camera when the camera is inserted into the case. This case is poorly designed. Such a small camera does not need such a bulky case. Returned for replacement.

Update: Replacement received. The buckle problem still exists. And this time the case even came with a matching cardboard box. It seems to hint that the first one was a returned unit. This time return it for good.

The case is well made but the camera fits so tight that there is not even enough room for an extra battery or memory card. They should have made it 3/4 inch bigger.

This product is amazing, it gives such great protection and will last a really long time. I won't lie, it can be a bit of a trick to put on properly so much patience and a set of steady hands is recommended but once applied properly you will have unsurpassed protection.

Once applied you don't even realize it is on so that is a big plus when it comes to protecting the screens of my devices. Another thing that is a plus is that I have this product on two of my devices that are touch screens and it does not effect the operation of the touch screen in the slightest.

If I was to have any complaint at all it would be that you receive only one set with your order, if you have never applied one before then it is possible that you mess up the application because as I stated earlier, applying these is not really all that simple so if you mess it up youy pretty much out of luck and have to reorder another one.

Overall though this is a great product that I have purchased for all my phones and devices such as cameras and handheld gps units and what not and it has protected them from anything like being scraped up against a rock face I was climbing to being in my pocket with keys as I have ran to just being clumbsy and dropping my device and it landing on the covered area, never any scratches to the actual devices so I will continue to recommend this product and purchase it for my future devices.

Unfortunately I have to give it a 3 star. The size was what I was looking for and for the price I was happy with how it looked. The downside was the front buckle slipped out of the strap and did not stay attached. There is no zipper or any kind of a top cover other than where the buckle closes in the front. So if that doesn't keep snapped while you are walking and holding the top, all my gear could have potentially fallen out on the concrete. I would definitely recommend whoever gets this, to take a close look at their buckle and do a self sew job as a reinforcement.

I Love this camera bag. It is just right for my D5200, telephoto lens, 55mm lens, batteries, charger, and accessories.

Best Deals for AmazonBasics Medium DSLR Gadget Bag (Orange interior)

I got this bag for my recently purchased DSLR, and it works perfectly. It's small enough to not get in the way, but it's large enough to fit the camera, the lens (maybe even two, but I only have one), and all the little accessories that come with it (cords, chargers, memory cards, manual, etc.). There are two dividers on the inside that are attached to the bag with velcro, so you can adjust them to make sure your camera and lens are snugly protected. For an amateur photographer or someone just using the camera for basic purposes, or at least for me, it provides more than enough space and protection.

Well worth adding it on for free if you can. I cannot say it feels like a top-end case, but for most carry chores, it works fine.

I am sending my old T2i and two lenses (with other equipment) as a gift for my 12 year old granddaughter. At first, when I saw the size of the package, I was really sure it wouldn't be large enough, but it's perfect.

I'm waiting for delivery of an 18-55mm kit lens to add, but once that's in (and there's still plenty of room for it), this bag now contains:

Canon T2i camera (gripped)

55-250mm zoom lens

7 or 8 SD Memory Cards

7 batteries

Shutter cable release

portable battery charger

And in the compartment for the tablet (Kindle Fire in this case), David Bush's Field Guide to the Canon T2i.

This is going to be the perfect place for her to store all of her equipment and keep it safe and sound, and dust free. It's also a perfect (and inexpensive) day bag.

The bag and extra lens are going to be a surprise, so shhhhhh... please don't tell her. We'll just blame it all on Santa.

The camera bag is well made and works as advertised. The camera fits fine, Nikon L820, and the two side pockets work well for extra batteries and other small objects, although it would help to have a little more positive closure on the pockets. It does help to tape the batteries together, you are less likely to lose just one when you most need it. Flip side of the coin, I guess you could lose them all but it hasn't happened to me "yet".

I ordered this MegaGear ultra light camera case with a Nikon 520. Lo and behold the camera would not fit in the camera case no matter how many times and ways I tried to make it work. A real piece of junk!!!!!!!!!!!!

Best Deals for MegaGear ''Ultra Light'' Camera Case Bag for Nikon Coolpix L820

I bought this camera bag because the advertisement said it was made for the Nikon P520. While the camera DOES fit inside the zippered pouch, I gave it away to a friend since it didn't hold much else. I wish it had comfortably held an extra battery, charger, camera instruction booklet, and other small accessories. Just my preference.

Honest reviews on MegaGear ''Ultra Light'' Camera Case Bag for Nikon Coolpix L820

This case is really too small for the Nikon Coolpix P520. It will go in, but you have to force it, and it's difficult to zip up when you put the camera's strap in with the camera. Otherwise it seems to be good quality.

this is a great little bag when you want to carry just 2-3 lenses. i bought this for my wife. she has a Nikon D3100. She can fit her 50mm f1.8 len with the body, and also her 18-55mm kit lens. also in the bag, she could also fit an extra better, 3 cables (1 HDMI, 1 USB & a lightning cable). in addition she can fit a couple SD cards, lens caps, and some filters. She doesn't have any other lens to pack inside but since the inserts in the larger compartment is ajustable, you can add another lens. no complaints here whatsoever. for the price you can't really complain. it does what it should. I have also place my own Canon T4i with some lens in there as well and it fitted fine. If you're interested in knowing which lens i've added and DSLRs i've added, here's a list.

Canon T4i

Canon 60D

Canon 7D

Canon 5D Mark II

Canon 5D Mark III

Nikon D3100

Tokina 11-16 f2.8

I needed a light case for my Sony NEX-7 with my 18-200mm Sony lens, the additional 10-18mm wide angle lens, spare batterry and spare SD card. It all fits like a glove in that case. In addition, it weighs only 0.7 lb which is good for an 88 year man like me.

Best Deals for Case Logic TBC-409 DSLR Shoulder Bag

This bag seems smaller than I thought it would be, but still large enough for everything I need it to fit.

Honest reviews on Case Logic TBC-409 DSLR Shoulder Bag

This is a small bag that works quite well for a very small camera such as an interchangeable lens non-DSLR or Sony NEXwith one extra lens along. It is light weight, compact and well padded. One of the best features is the combination of the anchor points for the shoulder strap being offset slightly toward the back of the case in combination with the zipper opening on the top of the bag. This arrangement allows one to carry the bag—with the strap across the chest—behind the arm opposite the shoulder with the strap. The top is zippered on three sides with double sliders. W hen you pull the bag under your arm so it is in front of you, the zippered top hinges away from your body so the camera can be quickly extracted along with the other lens, if needed, and you have a small suspended "bucket" in front of you to work out of while the top lid is folded out to the front and away from you. The lid can also be easily flipped back in place while the camera is in use. The offset anchor points keep the bag securely against you torso and out of the way for photographing. This is easier to do than explain but works well in a small bag of this sort. The interior dividers can be adjusted to fit different equipment or simply left out if using a DSLR.

Find helpful customer reviews and review ratings for Case Logic TBC-409 DSLR Shoulder Bag

The bag is smaller than it looks. For anyone wondering, the dimensions are: 8" high, 8" wide and 6" deep. You can fit a camera and 2 lenses in there (barely) but there won't be room for much else. (Like filters, hood, batteries, flash etc--all the things I generally want in the bag in case I need them.) If you don't need to carry those things, this bag will work well. (And I do like how it holds the camera.)

The bag itself is built well, but the side pockets are mesh and I'll admit I'm a bit hesitant to put anything in there that I don't want to lose. (They look like they could tear.)

I guess I'll keep trying to find a bag that will work, but in the meantime, this one will be fine.

The bags are great that they're resealable without using tape. There are several bag sizes available so choose the right one if size matters. I don't see much point to the included BlueCell stylus/toy since my finger works just as well, and I certainly wouldn't risk sticking the tiny ribbed gel thing into my iPhone as it might break off inside.

It has 2 sections ... one for the speedlite which easily fits my Canon 600EX-RT or my Nikon SB-910, the bottom has a smaller section to fit the diffuser or spare batteries ... this bag is far more useful than the stupid Nikon pouch and far more "carry-friendly" than the Canon one. This bag has a solid vertical velcro loop, which allows me to hook it up to my belt or on the camera or camera bag strap. Highly recommended.

I was looking for something that I could take on some of my more adventurous photo shoots. I regularly am hiking to a waterfall or trekking through some random field in the middle of nowhere always looking for the best locations. This thing is sturdy, well made, and has ample padding for my craziest hikes. It also smells really good like canvas. I know that sounds silly but I love that smell. The waterproof bag in the bottom is cool and Its an added sense of ease because I shoot in bad weather too. get caught in a rain storm? Good to go! Im definitely really pleased with the bag!

Click Here For Most Helpful Customer Reviews >>

I think this is more for an amateur photog or for someone having a casual day and still wants to bring a bit of equipment around. Not for long hikes as there's no support whatsoever, but I don't think that's the point of this backpack. I fit my DSLR, a strobe, and three lenses on the bottom. You can probably fit more if you want.

You can't see this in the picture, but middle divider has a velcro flap in the back that opens up so you can slip a laptop through the back. The top fits a tablet, a light jacket, lunch, etc.

The camera liner bottom comes out, and you can use that for something else. For me it's an overnight bag or a blanket and food storage compartment for picnics.

Pros:

-Style is unbeatable. Literally nothing else like it on the market.

-Multi-functionality.

-Plenty of storage options.

-Rain fly. I've used it twice in the last month!

Cons:

-Although you can slip a laptop, folders, or books thru the back velcro opening, you can't completely remove the center divider.

-Nowhere to put a tripod. You'd have to creatively rig it and I haven't tried that yet.

Best Deals for Koolertron Canvas DSLR SLR Camera Shoulder Bag Backpack Rucksack

I got this bag to hold my Canon T4i, and a few accessories. The bottom portion of the bag fits my camera, netbook, lenses, and chargers for everything comfortably. I can keep 3 days worth of clothes in the top portion (tshirts, underpants, socks, and an extra sweater) and a small travel bag with toothpaste, deorderant, razor, etc. The side pockets are good and spacious enough to keep some small things in there. Flashlights, first aid kit, power bars, keys, etc. There are 4 in total. There is another wide pocket that fastens with velcro. I keep some reading material in there. The rain cover is a nice touch.

My only real gripe is the button fasteners. They work, but not very well and come undone easily. I took the bag to a local tailor who replace all of the buttons with heavy duty YKK fasteners. Bag works like a charm.

I use this as a weekend bag for when I'm going away and for light hikes. It does so admirably.

-1 star for the buttons

-1 star because the bag isn't any sort of water resistant without the rain cover on. If rain runs down your back, water will absorb through the back of the bag.

Honest reviews on Koolertron Canvas DSLR SLR Camera Shoulder Bag Backpack Rucksack

I never buy from Amazon without reading all of the reviews first. With this bag, there seemed to be a lot of confusion. I decided to take a chance on it, and I'm glad I did!

I just used this bag as a carry on on 3 flights. It fit under the seat in front of me perfectly! I did not get tired carrying it around the airport all day, which is saying something because I'm 5' 3".

In the padded camera section I fit my dslr, 2 lenses, and a pentax film camera. I could have easily fit more in there. The padded section itself slips easily in and out of the bag, making airport security a breeze!

There seems to be a lot of confusion as to whether or not you can fit a laptop in this bag. The top section of the bag is big enough for a tablet, but certainly not a full sized laptop. The pictures don't show the "special" spot for a laptop. It slides in the top, behind the pouch and padded camera section. Basically, the entire back of the bag. It's perfect! My 15.6" laptop fits perfectly.

The bag is extremely well made, especially considering the price! If you've ever shopped for a good quality backpack before, you'll know that they can be pretty spendy. I love all of the pockets and ease of access to everything in the bag.

Guys, it's literally perfect. I don't often write reviews but this bag was worth it.

Find helpful customer reviews and review ratings for Koolertron Canvas DSLR SLR Camera Shoulder Bag Backpack Rucksack

I bought this camera pack on a whim before I left for a week-long photo trip into the Grand Canyon. It performed splendidly! There are a few things I'd change about it:

velcro or snaps on the top section to keep the top flap attached to the top section when you open the zipper... this would keep the cinch more secure and keep anything from falling out when it's flipped over.

I added some reinforcement stitches to the front section just as a precaution because some of the stitching on the webbing looked a little loose. 15 minutes of work from someone who is not a skilled "seamster" helped keep things together and nice and tight.

-It would really be nice to have the buckles be real (not vanity). I've actually considered changing this myself... Doesn't seem like it'd be a hard conversion, and that would allow more variable and secure tightening on the top flap.

All that said, however, for a quarter of the price of what you'd pay for a name-brand, hi-tech photo pack (that looks like it's filled expensive gear) this stylish and unassuming pack is a GREAT bargain. Just keep an eye on your seams (or maybe the manufacturer would upgrade the thread?). It looks nice, canvas seems heavy enough, and it doesn't scream "photo equipment" (I use it for my daypack when I ride my motorcycle to work, too).

I put two full-frame bodies, a 70-200 2.8, and a 17-40 f4 lens in the bottom section, and slid a 17'' macbook pro in the back for a very snug (and heavy) but functional fit for sliding under an airplane seat or overhead compartment. I wouldn't recommend keeping all of that in the pack out in the field as it is very heavy, but for hopping terminals and planes on your way, it's works.
