I needed a camera case for my Fujifilm FinePix XP10 12 MP Waterproof Digital Camera with 5x Optical Zoom and 2.7-Inch LCD (Silver) and liked the Mini Dot Navy design from Built so I decided to give it a try. The case is the perfect size and shape. It has a snug fit that keeps my camera from moving around and has a terry cloth lined hard backing that protects the screen from scratches and breaking. It also has a "pocket" to keep an extra memory card. Although it's not listed in the description I can also fit an extra battery. My battery is flat and square and fits nicely inside this "pocket" but I don't think larger round batteries will fit. Also, the case is not big enough to fit a charger so if your needing to carry a charger too this is not the camera case for you.

This camera case is a very snug fit for a compact digital camera. Also room in the back for an extra battery or card.

I like this case. It fits my Canon sx160 camera very well and it is a hard shell so it will protect the camera better than a soft-shelled case. It has a clip so you can attach it to a belt loop, etc. I also bought a camera strap for my camera, but the case won't allow the strap to be put inside it because the fit for the camera is too tight. I just let the strap stay out after I zip the case and I can sling it over my shoulder.

This is advertised for a Canon SX160 but doesn't fit for mine? It's at best an average hard case but NOT for the Canon SX160.

Best Deals for MegaGear Camera Hard case Black for Canon powershot SX150 SX160

Does NOT fit a Canon SX160IS...without modifications. And I'm not the first person to point that out yet the ad copy still says it will. BS. But I found a way to make it fit...very snugly. I removed the 2 elastic clam-shell straps and the mesh inner pouch. That gave just enough room to fully close both zippers. The camera will not move one iota once cinched inside. And that's what I wanted. I had no use for the cosmetic pieces I cut out with a simple snip of a scissors. And that's why I gave it the 3 star, It's OK, rating. So I'm posting this review to let other folks know that this MegaGear hard case WILL work for your Canon camera with a minor modification.

Honest reviews on MegaGear Camera Hard case Black for Canon powershot SX150 SX160

Thing is exactly as it is described. The inside has a mesh divider great for storing extra memory cards or cords. The clip thing is pretty sturdy.

Anything short of dropping your camera on concrete from over 15 foot high, having somebody drive over it, or someone stepping on it on purpose, this case will most definitely keep your camera safe.

This is a nice quality case, however it didn't fit the camera I have. I bought the Canon SX 160 IS camera. This case is too small for that model. Was a little misled because the ad said it fits the SX 160. I guess the difference is the IS MODEL. I returned the case with no problem.

Crumpler THIRSTY AL Camera Pouch S (Olive/Light Olive) Reviews

Crumpler THIRSTY AL Camera Pouch S
Customer Ratings: 4.5 stars
Buy Now
The Crumpler Thirsty AL (L) is a good case for holding slightly bulkier sized electronics such as point and shoot digital cameras, cell phones, small portable hard drives, and just about anything else that one can morally fit in it.

To give you an idea, these are just some of the things that you can fit in the Thirsty Al: Two 5G iPod's; Sony memory card reader (MRW62E) with usb cable folded; Or any similar sized computer mouse (I've tried a Wacom mouse, Microsoft Wireless IntelliMouse Explorer 2.0, an Apple wired Mighty Mouse, and a Logitech MX600 mouse). The dimensions listed for this product are quite accurate to use as reference.

However, keep in mind that this case isn't linear, so use the dimensions listed only as reference. The Thirsty Al is soft, flexible, and the walls are about 0.4mm to 0.5mm thick. The rear and base, however, feel twice as thick. The overall stitching and lining of the case appear to be strong. The pocket opening is slightly narrower than the body and base of the case (to help keep things from falling out and to help keep things from getting in). The Thirsty Al uses 4 patches of strong velcro. One is located on the front, main flap, and two for the loop/belt straps on the rear. The reason that there is two velcro straps (one long and one short) is that it helps further secure the case in place. The last patch of velcro can be found under the main flap where there is a small pocket about half the size of the flap where you can store memory cards and other similarly small items. I've tried a Sandisk Compact Flash memory card with its protective case and it fit perfectly.

Now about the cosmetics. Yes, the exterior is black and gunmetal colored, just like my Crumpler 7 Million Dollar Home Bag (Black/Gunmetal/Oatmeal color). However, the interior lining of this Thirsty Al is an olive color, different from my 7MDH's oatmeal interior (tan color). Although I knew this beforehand, I just wanted to confirm that the interior is indeed olive colored. I would prefer an oatmeal colored interior, but it doesn't seem like Crumpler has made any Thirty Al's with the Black/Gunmetal/Oatmeal theme. I could only find photos of the Black/Gunmetal colored Thirst Al's with olive or orange colored interiors.

In any case, I wanted to expand the carrying capacity of my 7MDH bag so I purchased a pair of these Thirsty Al's and strapped them to the sides of my bag, leaving only two loops left. I currently carry a Sony memory card reader in one of my Thirsty Al's (as mentioned above), leaving the other pocket for small items such as business cards, additional memory cards, candy, pens, or anything else that I may want quick access to while out in the field.

It's perfect for the body/lens caps, extra batteries and a lens pen that I keep in there. I'm going to get one more for other little do-dads, as well. Maybe two. This allows me to use the 7MDH instead of grabbing a bigger bag. With the loops on the side of the bag, these work and match perfectly.

One thing: don't get the idea that XL means it's large. It isn't. Just big enough for a cell phone or the stuff I mentioned. I fit one camera battery, 4 AA's and a body and lens cap. That's it. The edges of the bag itself are not covered by the top so don't leave little tiny items in there or you could find they've migrated somewhere.

Otherwise: perfect.

Best Deals for Crumpler THIRSTY AL Camera Pouch S (Olive/Light Olive)

These pouches are IDEAL for just about anything that fits. They come in various sized, but I only buy the XL. I first found these small pouches in a camera store in a huge bin about six or seven years ago. I bought three of them. I still own two of them -the third was stolen together with my GPS. I use them for small point and shoot cameras, GPS, and cell phone storage. These cases last forever. The velcro sealing system last forever. I have never, ever had a problem with them. I just re-ordered two of them from Amazon (to replace the one that was stolen with the GPS in it) as I wanted a spare just in case as they are getting harder to find.

The cases are very well cushioned, and I do not hesitate to store anything fragile in them. Not sure what else to say except if you have a portable GPS, or a point & shoot camera you want to protect, get this case. These cases also have a velcro belt loop but I haven't used this feature as of yet.

Inside, the case is extremely well padded, and in the flap there is a small flat pocket for an extra memory card, or a couple of batteries.

An amazing product overall.

Honest reviews on Crumpler THIRSTY AL Camera Pouch S (Olive/Light Olive)

Strong velcro, and nice, strong stiching, make this a bargain. Not like some cheap imported cases.

This is a very attractive little bag, exceptional in details and workmanship. I use it for my cell phone when running around town, just attach to my purse strap. When out shooting photos, I use to to carry extras such as blower, batteries, etc. It's rugged enough that I just add to the outside strap. It is NOT big and you should carefully review the size before ordering the only reason I give it 4 stars. Was not quite the size I expected when mine arrived but quickly found other uses for it and it is in daily use for me.

AmazonBasics Medium DSLR Gadget Bag
Customer Ratings: 5 stars

Unfortunately I have to give it a 3 star. The size was what I was looking for and for the price I was happy with how it looked. The downside was the front buckle slipped out of the strap and did not stay attached. There is no zipper or any kind of a top cover other than where the buckle closes in the front. So if that doesn't keep snapped while you are walking and holding the top, all my gear could have potentially fallen out on the concrete. I would definitely recommend whoever gets this, to take a close look at their buckle and do a self sew job as a reinforcement.

I Love this camera bag. It is just right for my D5200, telephoto lens, 55mm lens, batteries, charger, and accessories.

Best Deals for AmazonBasics Medium DSLR Gadget Bag (Orange interior)

I got this bag for my recently purchased DSLR, and it works perfectly. It's small enough to not get in the way, but it's large enough to fit the camera, the lens (maybe even two, but I only have one), and all the little accessories that come with it (cords, chargers, memory cards, manual, etc.). There are two dividers on the inside that are attached to the bag with velcro, so you can adjust them to make sure your camera and lens are snugly protected. For an amateur photographer or someone just using the camera for basic purposes, or at least for me, it provides more than enough space and protection.

I am sending my old T2i and two lenses (with other equipment) as a gift for my 12 year old granddaughter. At first, when I saw the size of the package, I was really sure it wouldn't be large enough, but it's perfect.

I'm waiting for delivery of an 18-55mm kit lens to add, but once that's in (and there's still plenty of room for it), this bag now contains:

Canon T2i camera (gripped)

55-250mm zoom lens

7 or 8 SD Memory Cards

7 batteries

Shutter cable release

portable battery charger

And in the compartment for the tablet (Kindle Fire in this case), David Bush's Field Guide to the Canon T2i.

This is going to be the perfect place for her to store all of her equipment and keep it safe and sound, and dust free. It's also a perfect (and inexpensive) day bag.

The bag and extra lens are going to be a surprise, so shhhhhh... please don't tell her. We'll just blame it all on Santa.

This case is not something I would take out in the field, but for storing my gear at home, it is great. I like that the compartments are deep and you can move the little velcro separator-things around to fit your stuff. I have several small prime lenses and none of them have their own cases, so I stack them with one of the small separator-things in between lenses. I also like that there are several little pockets on the inside and outside which is great for keeping filters, extra batteries, etc. I have a smaller bag that I use when I go out with my camera, but this one suits my intended usage just fine. And--bonus!--it's really cheap (as in price, not quality)!!!

I purchased this DSLR as, 1) I prefer the SLR format, something I am used to and, 2) I have had a lot of experience using an older Pentax SLR. Even though the older unit was film format (the basic K1000 model), it served me very well for over 20 years with no problems, easy use, and excellent photos. The older SLR camera was used all over the world from cold climes of eastern Europe's mountain tops to the sultry/humid jungles along the Amazon River. It took the trips and use well in such environments and performed wonderfully. So I was pre-disposed to Pentax at the outset. I did several comparisons to the other brands and even though I have a large Nikon SLR now, I went with this Pentax DSLR for a variety of reasons. Among these were the crystal clear screen and the extensive menu of available functions to utilize with it. To date I have obtained wonderfully crisp and clear photos in situations ranging from early dawn to sunsets, landscapes to kids, and the places I have taken it are not what one would call "forgiving" for sensitive photo-systems. In short, this baby performs. I chose the 28mm to 80mm zoom along with a 150mm additional lens. Good choices for me as all have performed very well and when interfaced with my laptop, touch-ups and edits are a breeze! Believe me, I have recieved many "oooh's" and "ahhh's" with my photos from this. But the camera does not do all the work. One needs to have a grasp on the basic elements of photography in order to achieve the desired product. The point of this review is to define that the camera has all the features that, when properly used, give whatever one may wish to obtain. One main warning: learn to use the manual until you are familiar with the levels of controls available in the on-board menu. They are extensive, ranging from simple point and click photos to making videos (battery draining, for sure). In addition, a hand-held remote shutter control is cheap and great to have at times. So I recommend the camera system, available here on Amazon at a very competitive price. In fact, best prices and availability. The camera? Really good, very functional, tough and durable as I have taken it into some rough, hot/humid and extremely cold envrionments, and it kept on working just great. Is it as beautiful to look at as the Nikons or even Canons? No. But it will do about whatever those models can and at a much more affordable price. I give it a "4 star" rating as it simply is not the most deluxe model one could obtain. But it is a worker and its photos are tremendous in the right hands. Great Photos for All! Daryl

The unique brown tripod case shown here is not what was shipped. I got a black one. Amazon should do a better job with this kind of stuff as it's not the first time this has happened to me.

On the case: this one purchased is a replacement to one that I had for 6 years which was lost by Delta Airlines in route to Tunis, Tunisia. This case is fairly light, good pockets for storing stuff-my cloths even; when traveling extra light. The material is water resistant. And while there are other PB cases that are more protective, I never had a problem keeping my sticks shielded with this "quick bag" when traveling.

I ended up returning the rain cover. I don't it is mentioned anywhere here or at the mfr. web site, but the cover is actually sewn to the bag it comes in, so you have to tuck the storage bag somewhere while actually using the cover. I found this odd though I suppose some might like this feature. Also the rain cover will NOT fit the Tamrac 5587 (as Tamrac says it will) when you have installed the optional/recommended side packs (SPX777), it just won't stretch over them. Tamrac has a pretty nice website but they and the description here at Amazon leave out a lot of details a customer who cannot visit a camera store would like to know before purchasing. I also thought this item was just overpriced for what you receive. I returned it and ordered the Mountainsmith backpack rain cover at less than half the price. These run plenty large...I ordered the MEDIUM size and it easily covers my entire pack and side bags with room to spare.Mountainsmith Rain Cover Medium Bag,Black

I bought this rain-cover for my Tamrac bag, since I was traveling to Alaska when it was supposed to rain everyday.

It has good protection, and was very useful during hikes etc. Although if you want to change lens or get filters etc from your bag you'll have to take off the entire cover. The protection from rain seems very good, but putting it on the bag is some work.

Well usually I don't have problems with installation etc. but this cover had so many straps, and I have never used such rain-covers before, so I still haven't figured out how to fasten all the straps. Wish they had some instructions on the box or online.

But even without fastening the straps, simply putting it over my bag and fastening the elastic did the work for me.

Since I guess most Tamrac bags have rain protection you don't really need one if you are going out in a light drizzle, but for more than that I suggest getting this is a good idea.

Best Deals for Tamrac M.A.S. Large Raincover (Black)

This cover goes on multiple Tamarac bags that support the MAS system, in my case a Cyberpack 8. The carry case hangs on the side of the pack and the cover makes camera pack virtually waterproof. Although the Cyberpack by itself is very water resistant with the zipper covers pulled tight, in heavier rain, or snow the added protection is nice to have. I highly recommend purchasing this accessory.

Eynpire Camera Leather Camera Case For Nikon Coolpix P7000
Customer Ratings: 3.5 stars

I have been using this case for about a month now. Overall, I am very pleased with it. There are really only two things that I don't care for.

(1) I don't believe the case is leather, as it is described. It has a lightweight velvet-type interior, which is fine, but the exterior of the case feels, smells, and looks like artificial leather or plastic of some sort. I would love this case to be made of a good quality leather befitting such an expensive camera. (2) The case is just a little loose fitting. Even though it does snap into place very well, there is almost enough space to put a finger in between the edge of the case and the camera body on each side toward the top of the camera.

On the positive side I love that the case screws solidly onto the camera with a tripod-mountable screw on the bottom of the case. I also love that the two snaps on the bottom sides of the case make it possible to take quick pictures without completely removing the case; while allowing easy access to all of the camera's controls. It's very easy to open and close.

Overall, I feel that the case is reasonably priced and well constructed. If you prefer an "Ever-Ready" style case over different styles, I believe this is the best case on the market for the P7000 as of 2/20/11. If Nikon ever makes a case in this style, it would very likely be much better quality and real leather. In that case, I would gladly pay more for the higher quality and better fit.

Click Here For Most Helpful Customer Reviews >>

Since the Nikon P7000 is a small, but not pocket sized camera, one needs a protective case to carry it. At the risk of dating myself, I was hoping for an old-timey tight-fitting leather case like I recall from the 35 millimeter film days. These cases came (often as options) with rangefinder cameras and early consumer SLRs (for the majority of shooters who rarely or never used anything but their 50mm prime lens). They were pretty standard gear because the strong protection these cases provided in a very light, tight-fitting form factor, was like clothing for your camera. This case is almost exactly what I was hoping for, albeit with a couple qualifications.

First, in re the controversy in other reviews as to the material, whatever it is it's good enough for me. If it's fake leather, it's a real good fake. It even smells like leather (um, gee, maybe it's leather!). The heft and strength and protective capability of the case are all satisfyingly solid. The snaps are large and well-bedded, and everything looks solidly attached, and nicely stitched and finished, both on the exterior and in the velvet lined interior.

Now for the qualifications: Digital cameras are a lot harder to design covers for than the cameras of old, as they have a big screen on the back, and a lot of widely dispersed buttons sprinkled around them. While it was easy to keep a hook on the back of a film camera to let the top cover hang, the designer of this digital camera case has fewer places to hold onto, and so provides two ways to "hang" the top cover while taking pictures. One can either open the case at the bottom snap and hinge it back on it's side snaps, folding the case under (preferred); or one can leave just the bottom snap attached (likely to create a sharp bend in the material sure to reduce the life of the case). Either feels awkward at first, but the former (hinge) method seems to be something that works comfortably, though it takes a little getting used to. One can also, obviously, remove the top cover and set it aside (or pocket it).

The other thing about using a case like this that's different in the digital realm, is that in a film camera, most "consumer" shooters didn't have to (i.e. couldn't afford to) remove the case to get the film out very often. In a digital camera however, one is incessantly feeding the camera a steady stream of recharged batteries and memory cards. One has to remove this case to get to the battery/card door (and or cable connections, for those of you who plug in to transfer pictures & etc). Removing the case for this access, while a minor chore, IS an inconvenience. It's too bad they couldn't figure out a way to provide a battery / card door in the case! -and that's why I didn't give this case five stars.

Best Deals for Eynpire Camera Leather Camera Case For Nikon Coolpix P7000

The official case sold in the US for the Nikon P7000 is a nice case, but too small to actually hold the camera.

I was hoping to like this case. I think that the design of the case is great for protecting the camera but will surely slow me down when I want to take photos. The case adds an additional inch to the thickness of the camera.

I bought a Tamrac MX5383 to hold the Nikon P7000 and it is just about the perfect size. It is easy to get the camera out immediately. Its drawback is that it's rough canvas -not as nice as fake leather.

The case in this review looks pretty good and certainly has a better finish, but the camera feels a bit clumsy with the case attached. You have to worry about the top part of the case, which just hangs from a single snap. I prefer the raw camera.

Several doors in the camera are covered by this case, which may or may not be a problem, depending on your need to access them. Taking the case off to provide access means that you have to keep track of the two halves of the case.

I was brought back to reality today when I tried to return this item. If it's not sold by Amazon, then you don't get the wonderful return policy of Amazon. I'll just keep it, whether or not I use it and get on with life.

Honest reviews on Eynpire Camera Leather Camera Case For Nikon Coolpix P7000

I returned it immediately. I do not know what camera this was designed for, but it certainly WAS NOT for a Nikon P7000!

The product was 1/4 inch too small in ALL dimensions. It was designed to be held on with the tripod screw socket. The problem was, the screw in the case was 1 3/8 inches too far to the right! Finally, the assembly and stitching was very poor. Keep in mind this was not made by Nikon or made for them.

Find helpful customer reviews and review ratings for Eynpire Camera Leather Camera Case For Nikon Coolpix P7000

I purchased this case along with the P7000 in October 2010 and immediate took a trip or two or three with it. The case, all snapped on, does a fine job of protecting the camera. With similar looking cases on SLR's, though, I'd been accustomed to just letting the section over the lens dangle from the part that fits the body. That doesn't work with this design. After considerable experimentation and fiddling about, I learned that when I'm in shooting mode, I should completely detach the section over the lens, stick it in my backpack and just walk around with the camera in the body piece. That has proven to be much more usable.

The looser fit mentioned by other reviewers has allowed me to attach the viewer protector. It also gives me room to slide my finger in to hit the two preset buttons next to the lens. Cutouts for the latter would have been better, but at least this works, and my camera is still protected.

The body section is easily removable in the field for changing batteries and SD cards. I'd buy it again, and have recommended the case along with the camera to others.

I wanted a case for my G12 and did some serious shopping on Amazon and the net. For the money this is a decent case. Not sure if it is real leather or not though. The entire inside is covered in a well-stitched man-made seude, so I can't tell. The snap buttons for rhe front and the sides work well and there is a tripod mount on the bottom. The camera attaches to the case using the attached male-female tripod mounting screw. The female side of the tripod screw is then exposed on the bottom outside of the case as to allow your camera to be attached to your tripod. You still need to remove the case bottom to change the camera battery, otherwise the case can remain on the camera at all times.

Sony LCM-THA Carrying Case for the Cyber-shot DSC-T7 Digital Camera

I'd held off ording this case, waiting for someone else to review it, but since no one has, here goes:

The case is just the right size to fit the thin Sony T7 camera, and yet also quite protective. I'd expected it to be soft, but the sides are both firm and padded enough to really safeguard the camera. This is good, because our previous soft case tended to let the camera lens cover get pushed open and thereby run down the battery when not in use. There is also a good quality zipper to somewhat seal the case against dust and moisture.

My only quibble is that this case does not have a way to be fastened to a belt. But it's great for protecting the T7 in an auto glovebox, or in a bag.

This case is not just for the DSC-T7. I'm using it with the DSC-T5 which is a bit larger and it still fits perfectly. I was initially worried when ordering because I thought the inside of the case might be molded to fit the T7's slide down lens cover, but find that it doesn't. This case should probably fit any of Sony's T series cameras, but as i have only tried the T5 can't say absolutely. The case seems durable enough for me to keep in my purse with keys, phone, pens... and when I need to take a quick shot find that it's very easy and quick to unzip and get the camera out.

If you use the MC55 occasionally throughout the day, then this is a great product to keep it out of your way when you don't need it. If you use it constantly, the holster will only seem redundant because the wrist strap allows you much quicker access. I use the MC55 constantly, and I have noticed that my response time to alerts is much slower with the holster. However, I am allergic to the metal strip on the back of the MC55, so I still find the product necessary.

It is very well-crafted, has not torn easily, and the clip is in the right place so that the device stays in place unless you run.

This is my fifth Zero Haliburton case. I really like their products. This particular one was made of aluminum. You just have to watch for dents and scratches, but these are among the best!
