After searching for a long time for a camera case that wasn't too big, wasn't too small and wasn't too inconvenient and slow to unload my camera, I found this one from Case Logic. It does exactly what I need. I like to have my camera with me on family outings, hikes & mountain climbs, but found traditional camera bags cumbersome and uncomfortable to carry, often swinging around or shifting about when climbing got more challenging. I especially like that my tripod can be secured right to the bag. Though storage space may be at a premium, it is a sacrifice I'm willing to make. I am able to carry three lenses (one on the camera, and two in the lens pouch).

This bag is excellent for my Cannon EOS T3i ! It has a large pocket that will fit the camera W/ a long lens. It has another large pocket where I currently have a shorter 18-55mm lens and the camera charger and cables. There is still room in this pocket for another long lens or two more shorter lenses !! There is another pocket on the side of the main compartment (on the bottom when its slung on your shoulder) That I keep my spare battery and spare SD cards and camera remote in. In yet another pocket under the velcro flap on the face of the bag I have my waterproof point and shoot W/ its charger and cables. There is also a small pocket for a cell phone or wallet in the hip strap. This bag will also hold your tripod that attaches outside via velcro wrap. Handy if your riding a bike or motorcycle. Its like this bag was made just for my camera. Love it !!

I bought this for my new Canon 5D Mark III. I'm a skinny male 5'10", and it fits and feels great. Like other viewers have said, It was not designed for a battery gripwhich I do use. I don't use the hammock, and instead store the camera body in the main compartment, and I put my 50mm and 24-105mm in the top compartment. This leaves room for very little else, but I normally don't need other stuff.

I ordered this case a few months ago for my Nikon S9100 and so far I find it to be great! The camera fits nice and snug in the case. Dropped it once before onto the steel deck of a ferry and the camera survived without any damage watsoever and the case didn't even get bruised. Since the case has a hard plastic exterior, getting caught in the rain isn't an issue either. However, that isn't to say it's watertight so you might not want to drop into a body of water. It also fits into my pants pockets (of course, I probably can't fit anything else in there with it but then I don't carry it around in my pocket very often so no big deal).

Perhaps the only drawback to the case is that it's such a perfect fit for the camera that when I put my extra battery in the pocket of the case, it's a bit tight to close (but at least it does close).

Overall, I think this is a great case and if you care about protecting your camera then it's a great buy. Shipping was earlier than estimated as well so all-in-all, I'm really happy with this purchase.

I bought this case for my Nikon S9100, as advirtised. It a nice, small tough-looking case, but the slight extra depth of this Nikon "super-zoom" makes for a tight fit. The inside has a small amount of padding, but the inside pocket is pretty much worthless (I do keep 1 extra SDHC card in it, without it's protective case. I'll still be keeping my eyes out for one just a little (ever so slightly) deeper.

This case is really a little too snug for the Nikon S9100. It barely closes with the camera inside if the wrist strap is on the camera, and forget about putting anything in the storage pocket inside. A spare battery is too big for it to close without forcing it. Otherwise it seems to be sturdy and reasonbly well made.

This case was advertised for Nikon S9100, but it's really not big enough for that camera. In fairness, an S9100 can be squeezed in, but I was afraid of damaging the camera. Using it for a smaller camera. The case itself is very good for any smaller camera. So, it's a mixed review.

I ended up returning the rain cover. I don't it is mentioned anywhere here or at the mfr. web site, but the cover is actually sewn to the bag it comes in, so you have to tuck the storage bag somewhere while actually using the cover. I found this odd though I suppose some might like this feature. Also the rain cover will NOT fit the Tamrac 5587 (as Tamrac says it will) when you have installed the optional/recommended side packs (SPX777), it just won't stretch over them. Tamrac has a pretty nice website but they and the description here at Amazon leave out a lot of details a customer who cannot visit a camera store would like to know before purchasing. I also thought this item was just overpriced for what you receive. I returned it and ordered the Mountainsmith backpack rain cover at less than half the price. I bought this rain-cover for my Tamrac bag, since I was traveling to Alaska when it was supposed to rain everyday.

It has good protection, and was very useful during hikes etc. Although if you want to change lens or get filters etc from your bag you'll have to take off the entire cover. The protection from rain seems very good, but putting it on the bag is some work.

Well usually I don't have problems with installation etc. but this cover had so many straps, and I have never used such rain-covers before, so I still haven't figured out how to fasten all the straps. Wish they had some instructions on the box or online.

But even without fastening the straps, simply putting it over my bag and fastening the elastic did the work for me.

Since I guess most Tamrac bags have rain protection you don't really need one if you are going out in a light drizzle, but for more than that I suggest getting this is a good idea.

This cover goes on multiple Tamarac bags that support the MAS system, in my case a Cyberpack 8. The carry case hangs on the side of the pack and the cover makes camera pack virtually waterproof. Although the Cyberpack by itself is very water resistant with the zipper covers pulled tight, in heavier rain, or snow the added protection is nice to have. I highly recommend purchasing this accessory.

This is a very nice case, especially for the price. It is a very nice looking flat black fake leather. When wearing it on the belt it looks great and doesn't draw attention to itself.

There is a belt loop on the back of it, not a belt clip. The belt loop is more secure. In addition, it has a metal ring, and a small metal carabiner that can provide more security in case the belt loop fails, or the carabiner could be used to secure the case inside of a backpack for example.

The case is an almost perfect fit for the Sony DSC-HX5V point and shoot zoom camera.

I had a Panasonic ZS7 point and shoot zoom camera for a short time before returning it. The ZS7 was just a little bit too tight, and when taking it out of the case the settings dial and other exposed switches would get turned.

Tip: When putting a camera in the case, if you have a wrist strap, make sure that the strap faces up. Because the top of this case isn't a zip-type, a wrist strap can easily hang over the side of it. To remove the camera, just flip up the velcro flap, and pull it out using the wrist strap.

I like this case so much that I bought two extra ones, knowing that when one wears out I'll have another to replace it. It's nice and roomy and can be used for other things too.

This is a very compact case for the Powershot SX50 HS. I really wanted something to protect my iPod touch while it was in my purse. Just something I could slip it in and out of. I had looked at the cheap versions of the socks, but I was worried they might not be big enough from reading the reviews. Plus I do carry a big purse with lots of stuff floating around. Most of the cases you find for iPod are either back covers or leather flip cases. I really wanted a simple pouch, so I turned to the camera cases. I went through many of the camera cases and some of the dimensions fell just short, except this one. My touch fits snuggly inside, even with the back cover I have on it. I can also keep my headphones in the case too. Since I didn't pay attention to anything in the product details other than the dimensions, I was very happy to find that it has a "stiff front panel". Not only good for a camera's protection, but also perfect for protecting the touch's screen. I loved the color choices and went with the blue. I probably would have gone with a purple if they offered it in a brighter shade.

I do also have a CoolPix camera (S202) and since this is a review for a camera case (technically) I thought I would let you know that it also fits quite well. Perfect for simply carrying it around in your bag, on your hip, or in hand. If you put the camera in upside down with the LCD screen to the front, then you really don't need the wrist strap that the case comes with. But the camera's wrist strap does tuck nicely inside too.

While writing my review, I looked back at some others and saw a few complaints about shipping. I placed my order on 2/21 & was guaranteed to have it by 3/2. It arrived on 2/28, not bad with a holiday & weekend.

I had to buy a new case when I got a Coolpix S3000 since the camera was so small and light that it was swimming in my old camera case. I wanted something that didn't add any bulk and this definitely did the job. Even though it is a soft, fabric case, there is a lot of padding on one side so you get ample screen protection.

The case also has both a carabiner and an arm strap. Both are detachable so I removed the arm strap since the camera itself has one and I found it to be redundant.

Please check your camera model before buying this case. There is a negative review on here and that person obviously had a model that wasn't listed in the item description. The case fits like a glove on my camera so I could see how it would easily be too small for anything else.

I bought this for my Cool Pix 3100, which fits perfectly into this adorable little camera case. The Cool Pix is a very small camera, but this case gives it the protection it needs and deserves.

This little case looks so cute. I was at a Union meeting, and our color is purple. I was carrying my camera case, with the camera inside of it, and people commented on my cute little purse/wallet. They were surprised to learn it was a camera case.

It fits into the smallest of my evening bags, yet is easy to find in a large bag or tote.

Better than the Fastpack 350 in 3 ways: (1) laptop sleeve loads from the top, not the side -top-loading is easier at airport security, plus laptops may fall out from unfastened side-zipper pockets, (2) upper and lower chambers can be connected, and (3) lower chamber zipper less likely to break.

Worse than the Fastpack 350 in 2 ways: (1) laptop sleeve considerably smaller -2 MacBook 17-inch fit in Fastpack 350, while 1 MacBook 15-inch barely fits in Transit 350, and (2) color choices limited.

I was looking forward to this bag after seeing Lowepro's video. The bag is extremely versatile for what it can carry and offer. If can act like a Fastpack with fast access from a side door, while providing personal carrying space at the top. It can be reconfigured to carry a 300/2.8 mounted. This bag is also very light.

However, this bag is also plagued by several problems. Firstly, the bottom of the camera bag is too soft. Causing the bag to be extremely unstable with gear loaded into it. Another major problem is the weak sewing of the straps to the bag. This bag is made to accommodate heavy gear and some will load it to the brim due to the space offered. The weight will cause the straps to tear at the sew point at the top of the bag. Mine was starting to come off a little when I decided to sell the bag. Talking to my favorite camera shop, several bags have been returned due to the straps tearing at the same location.

A wonderful bag otherwise, the 2 flaws, one unforgivable, really made this bag a loser in my book. But it did have potential though. Hopefully Lowepro can fix these glaring problems.

Before I get into a "quick review", I wanted to go over the criteria of what I needed. As a Pro-Photographer, it seems I've collected a collection of bags for every scenario (from Tenba's Roadie II Large Luggage, to LowePro's Pro Trekker 400 AW, to ThinkTank Photo's SpeedDemon, to LowePro's Photo Sport 200 AW).

I needed something that could carry a Canon 1DX but without the bulk of Pro Trekker 400, and definitely a bit bigger than the Photo Sport 200. And this backpack fit the bill nicely.

While there are a few things left to be desired, like a slightly bigger laptop compartment, the overall pack has proven to be quite smart and stylish.

When I casually go out to shoot the kid or the family, this bag seems to be the great carry all. I'm 6'1" and about 190 pounds and the pack is small looking on me. The straps are VERY comfortable considering the weight I'm carrying. It was actually quite shocking at how easy it was to carry the load I did. Remember, this is a casual backpack, I wouldn't use this for any of my Pro Gigs at all, but merely to tote my camera around from school function to dinner.

I can carry at one given time in Camera Compartment:

-Canon 1DX w/ Really Right Stuff L-Bracket and Canon 24-70 f/2.8 L II (hood reversed)

-Canon 70-200mm f/2.8 L II (hood reversed)

So, if you're looking for a small casual bag to carry a Pro-Sized body or 35mm body with battery grip... this might be a great option. It's smart looking, comfortable, and well thought out.

I love almost everything about this bag. I'm coming from using a flipside 300 and needed something that could also accommodate my laptop. I'm able to fit my 15" MacBook Pro, my camera with 3 lenses, flash, chargers, GoPro, and even some clothes. I can attach a travel tripod to the side and use this bag to carry everything I need to travel for just a few days.

A few things about the design. The color is nice, although I wish LowePro would do something like Kata bags and make the interior liner very bright. It helps for finding gear in your bag at night. I like the quick side access for the camera, although that's something I rarely use. It's well-padded and the shoulder straps are comfortable, even when completely loaded down. It has a waist strap, which I guess would be useful for hiking. The front outer pocket is useful, as is the netting and small pocket on the inside for holding cards or batteries. I miss my outer side pocket from my flipside. That was very useful, as was the large inner pocket (both of which are lacking here). The one other design drawback I see is the top handle. The flipside had a large, robust handle that could take much more weight than you could load down the pack with. This one just had a single strap. If the pack is heavy, it's not the most comfortable thing to pick the bag up with, and it definitely doesn't feel as capable of supporting all that weight.

Things I wishes they'd change: I would like to see more zippered pockets. One large one on the inside and one side pocket on the outside. If they also upgraded the top handle to something thicker, this would be the perfect pack to carry on a plane for short trips.

I have owned this bag for about 25 years! It holds a lot of equipment, probably more than recommended, and it has held up very well. It has seen a month of constant use on an extended European trip, various vacations and numerous day outings. It works well on airlines as it fits under the seat of most carriers. The smaller footprint of the bag is great for women and not too obtrusive in tight quarters while touring. I find the waist belt very comfortable, and after a day of hiking, my shoulders and back are not sore from heavy weight on the shoulder as I get when carrying a shoulder bag.

I tend to stuff too much into the bag and the waist belt has endured all the abuse. When I have excess weight in it, I use the belt with the shoulder strap on my shoulder loosely or across my body as added insurance, but I have never had it fail Wearing the shoulder strap at the same time also gives you the added benefit of not dropping the bag when you release the belt.

The padding, buckles, zippers and fabric are still in very good condition. I did have to replace the belt buckle sometime after 15 years but I do not think that is bad considering the amount of use and abuse I have given the bag! Tamrac was very prompt in sending the replacement part.

On day outings to festivals, zoos etc., rather than carry a big bag I can stuff four or five lenses and small accessories into it easily and carry the camera separately. I own a larger bag by another manufacture, but this is my everyday go to bag because of the waist belt and quality.

The bag is carried on your lumbar so I would suggest that if you have a larger than average waist/pelvis, you actually go to a store and try it on before purchasing. The waist strap is adjustable to a certain degree, but may not fit all sizes comfortably.

This bag is worn on your back side, so you will need to take it off to access your equipment. This could be a drawback depending on the type of photography you do. If you changes lenses and filters very frequently this might not be the style for you. I find with the shoulder strap on I can release the waist strap and swing the bag to the front to easily access my equipment. I tend to do more static photography and speedily changing lenses is generally not as important to me, but it might be something to consider.

I would highly recommend this or the larger two models, depending on your need. I am not a pro but an avid amateur photographer.

I read some reviews saying it is very big. In my opinion, it not. I just put my camera, extra lens, light, small camcorder that is it. But all very unconfortably stuck I think it could also have some small pockets at sides to put a bottle of water (it doesn't). It does have a strap hidden at its back to put it around the hip (nice idea). It is a fair bag. But not for a 100 dollars. 70-80 at most. It is expensive for it is.
