Best Genuine real COW leather case bag cover for Nikon P7700 P-7700 Deals

This item was at least twice the cost of the other leather cases for the Nikon P7700 I saw offered on Amazon. However, reviews on those other items had mixed reviews about quality.

To me, it was worth the extra cost to enhance the appearance of the camera (which I also like a lot). The leather is top grade & the workmanship is first class. My modern camera now has a classic look and feel.

The top flap of the case can be easily removed completely with a coin that unscrews the brass attachment on the base. The bottom leather cradle stays in place & provides a comfortable grip.

I was not disappointed by this purchase & I'm glad I paid the extra amount for quality. This review is NOT a paid advertisement... I just appreciate when a product lives up to my expectations.

Much better quality than I expected for the price I paid (around $12). Enough padding and super durable fabric. The flip out compartments are very easy to open even one handed and they can hold a surprising amount of equipment. I carry my flip video camera, little junky point and shoot and a Nikon 1 with a lens attached in one side (stacked on top of each other but in fleece sleeves that I made). If you had one larger expensive camera it would be best to keep it in there alone. In the other side you can carry lots of smaller things-lens cleaning supplies, booklets, batteries, cords, chargers. The only criticism I have is it is difficult to figure out which side actually holds your camera. Both sides look pretty much the same! This is easily remedied with a dot of nail polish or a ribbon on the proper zipper pull.

This is a pretty cleverly designed case for a smaller dslr camera. Ours barely fits in with the camera body (Nikon D5100) + lens (Sigma 17-50mm f/2.8) being about 6" long.

The description uses words like "Leather Case" and "High Quality Leather Case". When received, it is so obvious that this is PU leather, not real leather. The texture feels hard and too smooth, and looks shiny and uniform, without any characters of leather. It does not mean PU leather would not work. But with the price I probably would not have picked this case among all the PU leather cases.

I bought this case for the Panasonic DMC-GF5 (the successor to the GF3). The GF5 is shaped basically the same as the GF3 so it fits just fine. You can tell that the grip on the front of the camera sticks out a little farther than it must have on the GF3 but it doesn't impede the case enough to create a problem. There are a lot of snaps to get the cover on and off to use the camera but this is probably normal for this style of camera. If you don't mind the bulk of the cover hanging off the bottom of the camera when taking pics, then you only have to unsnap 3 snaps. To remove the cover completely to free up the camera from it involves 5 snaps and then you can set the cover aside to take pictures. When I was trying out the camera at the dog park with my dog, I opted to let the cover hang since I had nowhere to put it and I had no problems. It doesn't add much weight to just let it hang. I took many pictures and a video with no issue.

The hassle comes if you need to access the SD card or battery frequently (or the HDMI out on the right side). The base of the case must be removed (in addition to the cover) to access those and this involves unsnapping all the snaps to take the cover off then unscrewing the bottom screw to take the base off. I plan on buying an Eye-fi card, however, so that this is less of a problem. Although, you would have to remove the case completely as well if you buy the camera's DC to AC adapter to plug the camera into the wall.

You CAN attach the camera to a tripod without removing the base, fyi.

All-in-all, a great quality case. The leather feels nice and is stiff enough to make it easy to re-snap the snaps and protect the camera from a light fall or from sliding/rolling on a rough surface. The case probably wouldn't help much on a long fall but it definitely keeps the camera from getting scratched up or jarred for normal use.

It includes a carrying strap but I just used the strap that came with the camera as it was a little nicer quality. Also, I would still recommend a camera bag to carry the camera in to carry the camera's accessories.

This actually was a present for my just-turned-teen granddaughter and she likes it, though it took her a few minutes to figure out how to use it, but it actually turned out to be rather easy. Really like the ability to use a monopod or tripod without having to take off the case. This probably could have earned 5 stars, but I haven't used it to make that determination.

The case that was delivered is not the case in the photos. The design is very similar, but the logo on the zipper is definitely not. Also, the screen protector was not included, despite it being advertised as such. These discrepancies aside, the case works, and protects the camera well enough.

The wrap consists of velcro triangles on the underside with a soft fabric on the outside that "sticks" to the velcro pads.

I use the small wrap for a portable 2.5" hard drive AND cable. The drive is larger than most and measures 5.1 x 3.3 x 0.8 inches. Consequently none of the purpose-built cases will fit this drive, or at least not fit is snugly. When using the wrap, I fold the two sides and bottom of the wrap on the drive "diaper-style" creating a pouch of sorts. I then stuff the cable in the open side of the wrap, then fold it over as well.

The whole thing then fits into my netbook's carry case.

I bought this pack to use primarily when travelling. When I'm on vacation, I don't want to be loaded with so much gear that I'm more caught up in my equipment than my surroundings. However, I still want to be able to carry my Nikon D50; 18-70mm, 10-20mm, speedlight, 90mm macro, perhaps another lens or two, a travel tripod, a jacket, snacks, and still have room to cram in a couple of small souveniers. And while I typically leave the laptop back at the hotel, I want to have it and my camera gear with me on a plane. In addition, it has to be able to carry a fair amount of weight comfortably for a long time and be built to last. Overall, this bag meets all those criterea.

I was pleasantly surprised how comfortable this bag is when fully loaded. It does not have a hip belt, but the design of bag places most of the weight (the camera gear) at the bottom and near your back (the laptop). The straps are fairly wide and excellently padded and the back pads allow a reasonable amount of airflow and support (thanks to a generously cushioned and contoured lumbar pad).

It's sturdy enough for regular use while traveling, but you still want to excercise care handling the bag as all the camera gear sits at the bottom. I wouldn't trust it with the trained gorillas I've watched unload baggage and you don't want to drop it, but otherwise I don't worry about my gear inside it.

If possible, I would give the bag 4 1/2 stars; overall, it's a great solution to my needs, but it has a couple of minor short-comings. While it sounds minor, the one that bothers me the most is the single zipper on the main compartment. I really like the double zips on the camera case and laptop portions as they can be left closed in the center for rapid access, but that's not an option for the main compartment. I frequently find myself opening the laptop area when intending to get in the main compartment. And with a double zip, it would be possible to allow a tall narrow object (like a tripod) to protrude out the top. In addition, I'd like a little more space in the main compartment it's a tight fit for my 14" tripod. Other items on my wish list would be a water-bottle holder, or, better yet, some loops on the outside that you could attach other items to.

Despite my minor gripes, it's obvious there was a lot of attention to detail and the pack is well engineered. When opening the camera compartment with the bag on the ground, the top portion tilts back as if hinged to allow easy access to your gear. There is room for even a large 17" laptop (Dell Latitude D810 14.25" x 10.5" x 1.75"). The front mp3 pocket is lined with soft cloth that won't scratch you ipod (or sunglasses) and there are good organizational features in the main compartment: couple zippered pockets, pen pockets, a key clip, etc. And all this is in an understated package that doesn't broadcast it may contain several thousand dollars worth of equipment inside it just looks like a daypack. Overall, I'm very satisfied with this bag.

Wanted a daily use backpack that could carry my camera and a few lenses and my laptop without looking like I was trying to find a hostel. It is a good size for tooling around town doing my daily activities. I like this pack and prefer it over the larger packs.

It provides decent padding to protect my electronic and optical gear. I'm not a professional photographer so I don't really need to carry gobs of optical equipment. I just like having my Canon 5D attached to my EF 24-105mm f/4 L with me and my EF 16-35mm f/2.8L on deck. My 11" sony VAIO (with verizon card for internet access) fits nicely and is well protected and there is still room enough for paperwork and small misc items. My treo 650 on my hip and I'm totally geeked out. I actually walk around all day like this being very productive and able to do some enjoyable things during my limited down times. Sometimes I find it amazing how much technology I actually like having with me...SCARY. But, I enjoy it and this set up lets me capture pics throughout my day whenever I find a good opportunity. Sometimes I just shoot to help my increasing dementia for later reference :).

The pack looks nice and simple and doesn't attract too much attention (which I like). Some of the pakcs out there are pretty "flashy" and most do not do as good of a job with padding and protection. Of course you still shouldn't throw the pack down or kick it around but you shouldn't do that with ANY of the soft packs and I'd still wouldn't do that with a pelican or any of the hard cases.

Excellent "normal" looking pack. Can carry a good amount of equipment comfortably. Not weather proof but that's ok with me. Excellent protection. Comfortable for a day pack. Can't think of much wrong with the pack except the weather proofing part and that didn't really matter to me so I'm giving the thing five stars.

Love the all-in-one, lightweight bag. I found I can NOT use it with my D200 with 18-200VR lens attached it just plain old will not fit into the bag in any of the directions tried. It works find with just a short walk-around lens attached...but that being said, my 18-200 has become MY walk-around lens, and this bag won't fit it safely, so back it went. Great great quality of bag. Not appropriate for larger dSLR's.

One thing to keep in mind: Do not purchase sight unseen -bring your camera and largest lens with you and see if it will fit before purchase --

I was so excited to receive this bag that I used the overnight delivery option! I searched for hours, on every site, for the perfect bag. I looked for something girlie, but not too girlie. I'm glad I settled on this bag. I'm little, not even 5' tall, this hits me right at my tailbone. I measured a backpack I used a few years ago on me and this one is perfect.

I wanted to be able to take my laptop with me to parties and events as well as have room for other things besides my camera. It's a lot lighter than I expected even with the bottom filled with camera stuff, a speed light, extra batteries, etc., personal items and the laptop. I have a 12" Gateway wide screen and it fits perfectly in there. I love that I can listen to my iPod while wearing the pack. The shoulder straps are well padded and so is the part that you wear next to your spine. VERY comfortable!

I will use this often as I take photos around the city and photograph parties and events. Everything is in one place with room leftover!

I would like to have double zippers on the middle (main) pocket, but I will learn to live with one. Change that and add more colors/prints and it's a perfect camera pack.

This is the perfect backpack because it fits my camera, extra lens and all the accessories, plus my laptop and a spiral notebook and there is still a roomy compartment for water, snacks, hairbrush, etc.

it does all this without being so large that it weighs me down. I am 5'2" and 120 pounds so I was very concerned about it being too large for me, however it is just right, and the straps are padded for extra comfort.

The VidPro line of cases are my new favorites. I found the brand while seeking out a case that would fit my digital camera: a Canon PowerShot A590IS 8MP Digital Camera with 4x Optical Image Stabilized Zoom. I have used this case for over a year now and these are my impressions.

What I like about this case:

+ Good looking

+ Sturdy construction: hard, lightweight shell protects the camera.

+ Belt loop

+ Carrying strap

+ No fraying of any of the materials; holding up well along the zipper and all fabric is resisting rubs.

Overall I don't really have anything negative to say about this case. You will need to measure your camera to make sure yours will fit though. It is a snug fit, but not rattling around in the case is a good thing! They do come in other colors too. I would highly recommend this case for protecting your digital camera investment.

This case is actually better than I expected. It's actually a hard case with a soft to the touch outside. The inside is lined with a soft material to keep your camera or whatever item from being scratched. The screen protector can be cut to size. I am very satisfied with the entire purchase.

This case is ok, but I didn't feel it offered enough protection for my Canon sx120is (larger point and shoot). The front and back of the case is padded, but the top and sides are not, leaving the camera rather vulnerable. Gave it to my son who is using it instead for his pocket camcorder.

I bought this item back late Apr, 2010. I used to house my Canon Powershot SX120 IS, and it worked quite well, per other reviews. I am presently using it in Costa Rica where I have now been for just under two weeks. Previously I never used the belt loop feature, but started to do so. Today, the belt loop feature broke. Granted I am in the tropics and although I am doing field research work, it is not rugged work. I have not abused the camera case, as it looks reasonably new. But come on. The belt loops feature should last a little more than 11 days of use! It sucks, as I have another two months of field work before returning the states, and I am in a remote site where there is NO mail. DON'T BUY THIS ITEM.

Which was bad thing to me.

There was a lot of extra space in the compartment for the camera and I would have liked a nice snug fit.
