Discount Polaroid Studio Series SLR / DSLR Zoom Holster Case (Black)
This camera case is well-worth the price I paid. My 5yr old Kodak fits snuggley and securely in the shaped, strongly-zippered, heavy-vinyl holster. A durable, inside zippered-net pocket allows visibility of it's contents and readily stretches to fit an extra two batteries and a car charger. The case also has slightly larger outside netted-pocket with a Velcro closure, adequate to contain a lens cleaning cloth and two or three lens filters. Don't expect to be able to include additional lenses; they just won't fit.

Kata KT CS-17 CS Camera Satchel Review
This bag is one of the few that is designed for carrying a 17 inch laptop and a basic set of camera equipment in one bag. The product description states that "the Kata CS-17 Camera Satchel holds a D/SLR Camera with lens attached, up to 2 lenses (the largest being a 70-200mm 2.8 with reversed hood), accessories and up to a 17-Inch laptop computer."
Unfortunately, the bag suffers from some design issues. Beginning with the point of contact. The bag's ( Gecko ) shoulder pad has small suction grips that prevent it from slipping. These also make it uncomfortable. Even when the bag is only half full, the "Gecko" pad cuts into your shoulder. If you fill the bag completely as per their product description (as shown in the images) it becomes very uncomfortable to carry the bag around. That totally defeats the point of advertising it as a "Camera Satchel". If you're not comfortable carrying your bag around with your equipment in it , you're probably not going to carry it around a lot.
Kata also put plastic hooks on the side of the bag to which the shoulder strap attaches to. Metal hooks are more durable. Saving a few dollars but putting the customers equipment at possible risk is not a smart decision.
On the outside, the bag has 2 external pockets, one which is small and can only be used for storing a set of keys ( it has a key chain clip ) and a packet of gum which may have been their design decision but is limiting for daily use. However, the second pocket is large enough to be useful and a pair of earphones, a cellphone, battery chargers and various cables (ipod, USB, firewire etc etc) can easily fit in there.
Some positive design aspects of the bag are
Inside, there is a dedicated laptop slot with adequate padding, A 17 inch notebook should fit in there and will be well protected. A 15 inch or 13 inch will fit easily with room to spare. On the right side of the laptop slot, there are 2 pen holders and a mobile phone slot.
There's a large middle pocket. This is where you store the camera insert. The camera insert is a large rectangular pouch. A camera with a 70-200mm lens attached, another lens, battery charger + flash will fit in the camera insert. Even with the camera insert inside, there's space for a 2.5 inch portable hard drive or a book in the middle pocket.
There's a third flat pocket for smaller items like notepads, MP3 players etc. At the back there's a document pocket which is useful for storing magazines and files. An expansion zipper runs across the bottom and sides of the bag. This is used to expand the width of the bag to allow it to hold extra gear. In real world use, it helps but not that much.
The bag seals up completely. Some other messenger bags have flaps which are open from the sides, so rain water can leak in and damage your equipment. The Kata CS-17 isn't like that. It has a 2 zipper system which will prevent water from leaking into the bag if you're ever caught in a downpour. Internally it is made out of Yelloop the bright yellow soft fabric that all Kata bags are made out of. The bright yellow fabric allows you to locate items more easily in dim lighting.
It has a comfortable and sturdy carrying handle. A lot of messenger bags are designed without handles. This can be inconvenient as you're forced to use the shoulder strap all the time. Kata smartly allows you to carry the bag as you see fit in briefcase mode or messenger mode. Near the handle, there's a quick access zipper opening on top which is convenient and allows you to insert and remove items out of the bag without having to open it up completely every time.
Included with the bag is Kata's double sided all weather protection cover which can be used to protect the bag in the event of rainfall or snow or used as a makeshift reflector.
This bag was designed to meet the needs of those who need a sling bag in which they can carry a large laptop and their basic camera kit. Unfortunately, due to a few design decisions, Kata has made a 4 / 5 star product into an average 3 star product. I'd recommend ordering it and seeing if it works for you, if it does, well and good. If not then return it.
Hope this helps!
I can put a large 17" laptop, Nikon D80 w the 18-200mm lens and a flash. The only thing missing is a dedicated space for the laptop/business stuff like power pack, mouse, phone charger pad.

This is actually a replacement case for the one I purchased years ago that was damaged on vacation. This case enables me to take my little Sony camera along when I snorkel (it's only good to about 10 feet deep). It's easy to use and has absolutely no impact on the photo quality. As with any underwater camera case, you just need to ensure the o-ring is well greased and free of debris, and apply some defogger to the lens cover prior to use. You can also purchase small dessicant packs from a photo supply store to help absorb any moisture inside so the lens doesn't fog. I'm pleased with this purchase but should caution other owners of similar cases my original case broke because one of the gray "buttons" broke off during transit something in my bag must have hit it. So even though the case is durable, make sure to protect it when not in use. I've learned from that and won't let it happen again! These things are getting harder and harder to locate since my camera is over 5 years old!Best Deals for Sony SPK-LA Sports Pack for DSCL1 Digital Camera
This case is great for pictures of the kids underwater! I also use it occasionally as a protective case for trips in areas where it rains a lotit protects the camera very well. I wish I purchased it at the current sale price! It was a little expensive when I got it (half the price of the camera itself!) but I have no regrets.Honest reviews on Sony SPK-LA Sports Pack for DSCL1 Digital Camera

I purchased this case to carry around my Nikon CoolPix P510 camera when I want to just grab that camera and travel about. I have several digital and film cameras and I wanted to be able to grab the CoolPix when I want to take a light-weight general purpose camera. The camera fits into this bag very nicely (with the shoulder strap on the camera) and the compartment is very well padded to protect the camera. On the reverse side of the bag is a storage compartment that easily holds a recharger w/cigarette plug cord, three spare batteries, two spare SD cards and a spare lens cover. The bag is well made and has a shoulder strap that can be slung over your shoulder, or you can wrap it around your waist. For the money, I highly recommend this bag for this particular camera for a "grab it and go" bag!

Took this bag to anatarctica. One complaint: Not for quick access. Everything else is highly positive. I can fit all my lens (took 70-200IS, 50mm, 60mm macro, 10-22mm, 24-105mm, extra batteries and chargers, canon 30d, canon s70 (and underwater housing)) and extras without issue. Perfect size for carrying around. Although I never dropped it in the water it supposed to float (when the waterproof lining is zipped of course). Very comfortable and a great carry on bag for a 35 hour flight!

I bought this bag for a trip to puerto to rico, where we planned to hike through the jungle, go to waterfalls and go caving. It kept all my equipment dry walking through the rain and visiting waterfalls and such, but it really amazed me when I took it caving. Nearly 5 hours were spent crawling through mud or up to our necks in underground rivers. The pack was very literally floating along behind me or partly submerged for most of the trip. It was dragged over rocks, pushed through holes and floated along in places too small to fit through with it on my back. By the time it was over I had little hope for me gear, yet found not a drop of water on it when I finally got up the courage to open the water proof seal. I was quite astounded at the amount of abuse it had taken. When used properly this bag really does what it says it will do, and even though it warns against submersion it will handle even that if need be. However, when sealed this bag is not easy to get at, and if you happen to get a lot of mud or dirt on it, it is not advisable to open the seal and then close it again due to contaminants getting into the zipper. I can fit a canon xti with battery grip, 70-200mm f/2.8, 100mm f/2.8, 85mm f/1.8, 75-300 f/4-5.6, 430EX, tokina 11-16 f/2.8, plus lens hoods for the 70-200, 100, and 11-16 all in the main compartment, plus all other odds and ends. It is a task to get stuff out once the seal is zipped up, but you dont always have to keep that shut. The tripod carrier is also a big help. If you really need something waterproof, this is your bag, if not, then dont get it. I would not advise getting this as your main bag, and thinking of the waterproof as an added bonus should you ever need it.Best Deals for Lowepro DryZone™ 100
Last week when the Nikon D3 came out, I decided to buy a waterproof backpack to protect my new camera from the elements. Last year, I got caught in a fierce rainstorm while taking photos with my D2X and luckily I placed my camera inside an extra plastic bag that was in my Lowepro regular duty camera bag because it got soaked right through! To avoid an expensive disaster, I invested in this waterproof backpack. This bag is quite heavy when empty, but the real reason why I am only giving it 4 stars is that it is very difficult to open, and the tiny lubricant for the zipper that came with it is only good for one time use. Even after properly lubricating the zipper it is still difficult to unzip. I can place my D3, D300 bodies, along with the 17-35mm F2.8, TC17 teleconverter, 70-200mm F2.8 and the 80-400mm Nikkor lenses inside, however, that is about it for the Dryzone100's capacity. While the DryZone 200 has more room, it is also larger and doesn't qualify as a carry on, and for flying I want my cameras and lenses with me.Sunday, September 14, 2014

I bought this pack to use primarily when travelling. When I'm on vacation, I don't want to be loaded with so much gear that I'm more caught up in my equipment than my surroundings. However, I still want to be able to carry my Nikon D50; 18-70mm, 10-20mm, speedlight, 90mm macro, perhaps another lens or two, a travel tripod, a jacket, snacks, and still have room to cram in a couple of small souveniers. And while I typically leave the laptop back at the hotel, I want to have it and my camera gear with me on a plane. In addition, it has to be able to carry a fair amount of weight comfortably for a long time and be built to last. Overall, this bag meets all those criterea.
I was pleasantly surprised how comfortable this bag is when fully loaded. It does not have a hip belt, but the design of bag places most of the weight (the camera gear) at the bottom and near your back (the laptop). The straps are fairly wide and excellently padded and the back pads allow a reasonable amount of airflow and support (thanks to a generously cushioned and contoured lumbar pad).
It's sturdy enough for regular use while traveling, but you still want to excercise care handling the bag as all the camera gear sits at the bottom. I wouldn't trust it with the trained gorillas I've watched unload baggage and you don't want to drop it, but otherwise I don't worry about my gear inside it.
If possible, I would give the bag 4 1/2 stars; overall, it's a great solution to my needs, but it has a couple of minor short-comings. While it sounds minor, the one that bothers me the most is the single zipper on the main compartment. I really like the double zips on the camera case and laptop portions as they can be left closed in the center for rapid access, but that's not an option for the main compartment. I frequently find myself opening the laptop area when intending to get in the main compartment. And with a double zip, it would be possible to allow a tall narrow object (like a tripod) to protrude out the top. In addition, I'd like a little more space in the main compartment it's a tight fit for my 14" tripod. Other items on my wish list would be a water-bottle holder, or, better yet, some loops on the outside that you could attach other items to.
Despite my minor gripes, it's obvious there was a lot of attention to detail and the pack is well engineered. When opening the camera compartment with the bag on the ground, the top portion tilts back as if hinged to allow easy access to your gear. There is room for even a large 17" laptop (Dell Latitude D810 14.25" x 10.5" x 1.75"). The front mp3 pocket is lined with soft cloth that won't scratch you ipod (or sunglasses) and there are good organizational features in the main compartment: couple zippered pockets, pen pockets, a key clip, etc. And all this is in an understated package that doesn't broadcast it may contain several thousand dollars worth of equipment inside it just looks like a daypack. Overall, I'm very satisfied with this bag.
It provides decent padding to protect my electronic and optical gear. I'm not a professional photographer so I don't really need to carry gobs of optical equipment. I just like having my Canon 5D attached to my EF 24-105mm f/4 L with me and my EF 16-35mm f/2.8L on deck. My 11" sony VAIO (with verizon card for internet access) fits nicely and is well protected and there is still room enough for paperwork and small misc items. My treo 650 on my hip and I'm totally geeked out. I actually walk around all day like this being very productive and able to do some enjoyable things during my limited down times. Sometimes I find it amazing how much technology I actually like having with me...SCARY. But, I enjoy it and this set up lets me capture pics throughout my day whenever I find a good opportunity. Sometimes I just shoot to help my increasing dementia for later reference :).
The pack looks nice and simple and doesn't attract too much attention (which I like). Some of the pakcs out there are pretty "flashy" and most do not do as good of a job with padding and protection. Of course you still shouldn't throw the pack down or kick it around but you shouldn't do that with ANY of the soft packs and I'd still wouldn't do that with a pelican or any of the hard cases.
Excellent "normal" looking pack. Can carry a good amount of equipment comfortably. Not weather proof but that's ok with me. Excellent protection. Comfortable for a day pack. Can't think of much wrong with the pack except the weather proofing part and that didn't really matter to me so I'm giving the thing five stars.
One thing to keep in mind: Do not purchase sight unseen -bring your camera and largest lens with you and see if it will fit before purchase --
I wanted to be able to take my laptop with me to parties and events as well as have room for other things besides my camera. It's a lot lighter than I expected even with the bottom filled with camera stuff, a speed light, extra batteries, etc., personal items and the laptop. I have a 12" Gateway wide screen and it fits perfectly in there. I love that I can listen to my iPod while wearing the pack. The shoulder straps are well padded and so is the part that you wear next to your spine. VERY comfortable!
I will use this often as I take photos around the city and photograph parties and events. Everything is in one place with room leftover!
I would like to have double zippers on the middle (main) pocket, but I will learn to live with one. Change that and add more colors/prints and it's a perfect camera pack.
it does all this without being so large that it weighs me down. I am 5'2" and 120 pounds so I was very concerned about it being too large for me, however it is just right, and the straps are padded for extra comfort.

Love the all-in-one, lightweight bag. I found I can NOT use it with my D200 with 18-200VR lens attached it just plain old will not fit into the bag in any of the directions tried. It works find with just a short walk-around lens attached...but that being said, my 18-200 has become MY walk-around lens, and this bag won't fit it safely, so back it went. Great great quality of bag. Not appropriate for larger dSLR's.One thing to keep in mind: Do not purchase sight unseen -bring your camera and largest lens with you and see if it will fit before purchase --

I was so excited to receive this bag that I used the overnight delivery option! I searched for hours, on every site, for the perfect bag. I looked for something girlie, but not too girlie. This a good soft case for the Bloggie. The Bloggie fits in well with additional space for a few other small items. It seems to protect it from scratches. The only negative thing about it is the plastic hook. But for the price, its not bad.Sunday, June 8, 2014

This product is a godsend for those who find carrying a camera bag an unnecessary nuisance while walking around with an SLR. It provides adequate protection but also allows (with practice) fairly quick removal so your slr is ready to shoot in a couple of seconds or less. The elastic strap an be placed around your waist, and I've placed a carabiner on my belt to hold my slr (in the zing) steady when I don't intend to shoot anything. Effectively, with judicious adjustments (like the carabinier in my case), this little thing can actually function as a kind of compact, minimalist, lightweight bag that you can wear on your middle ike a waist bag. Be careful when you put it on for the first time, though, especially if you have a bigger than medium lens. The material is so tight and strong that I nearly dropped the camera when my hand slipped. But overall it's an excellent, unique product that looks and feels like it will give good service for a reasonable length of time.
For years, I have used these types of Zing cases with a soft neoprene neck strap. However, to avoid neck strain, I run the neck strap through the haul loop of my pack. Recently, for my daypack (Vaude Rock Ultralight Comfort 25 my wife has one, too, and my 9-year old daughter has the smaller version) I've added a bit of 3/4" tent webbing attached with a Triglide buckle onto the haul loop, with a 3" webbing loop with a Fastex-type buckle, so it's easier to take the camera off and on without taking off my pack. (Mostly to hand the camera to my daughter so she can take some of her own pictures.)
The camera swings a bit on your chest, and can bang into rocks when climbing a face, or smack into your chest (ouch!) so I used to have a short length of elastic (small bungee cord) running from the right side of the hipbelt to the left side of the sternum strap to run across the neck strap just above the camera, snugging it up against my chest.
More recently, I got fancy and used some 3/4" elastic and a 3/4" Fastex snap buckle to replace this still playing with it a bit.
With a pack on, the chest strap of these "Action" cases just doesn't work for me, even if I use those Fastex type buckles on the camera case to snap to the shoulder straps too low. Running something across the neck strap above the camera works better. You might think it would pull down and strain your neck, but with the neck strap through the haul loop, this doesn't happen.
However, I have a short length of accessory cord that acts as a "keeper" for the case so I don't drop it off a cliff or into a stream. But when I let it dangle like that, it's a pain and in the way. So, I used one of the buckles from the Action case's chest strap (cut it off) and attached it to my right sternum strap, so when I take case off (and sometimes keep it off for quite a while in nice weather and easy terrain) I can snap it to the right side of the sternum strap where it's out of the way.
Your mileage may vary.
I have a Nikon D80 with an 18-55mm f/3.5 lens. This case fit perfectly for this camera/lens setup. I also own a Nikon 18-200mm f/3.5 lens and while this case will stretch over this camera/lens combo, I am afraid it will come apart at the seams over time if I use it with this length lens.
This case really offers an excellent solution for taking a larger camera on a hike or backpacking trek. Here are a couple of things I learned and implemented myself after reading other reviews that make this case even more functional:
1) When using this with a backpack or day pack that has a loop built into the pack that is situated behind your neck: Buy the Tamrac N45 quick release strap for the camera. Then run this strap thru the backpack loop and it keeps the camera weight off the back of your neck. The quick release makes it easy to remove the camera from this setup if needed without taking the backpack off. Keep in mind that the Zing case only has a waist strap. The case relies on your camera's existing strap.
2) I used a carabiner to attach the camera body in Zing case to my backpack waist belt. The waist strap that is built into the Zing case does work but is a bit thin/stretchy for a bulkier camera/lens like mine and I wanted to make sure the camera didn't bounce around while hiking.
With this setup, when it is time to take a picture, you simply slip the camera out of the Zing case. The camera is still attached to the Tamrac strap that is attached to your backpack. No worries about dropping it. The Zing case is attached to your body via the waist strap and carabiner so it won't fall when you remove the camera. Take your picture and put your camera back in the Zing case. It takes a little getting used to in terms of getting the camera back into this case, but with a small amount of practice, it becomes easy.
The key features of this Zing case setup are accessibility and protection of your camera from the elements (sweat, dust, water resistant but not water proof).

I've tried various camera cases over the past 4 decades. Though I've switched cameras many times (currently I use a Nikon D50) I have always used the same case: a Zing case. I spend a lot of time outdoors with a pack on, and for this kind of use, the Zing case is ideal. It's tough, it's padded, and it's water-resistant, though the camera goes into a Sea to Summit lightweight dry bag in the pack when it's _really_ raining. For years, I have used these types of Zing cases with a soft neoprene neck strap. I have a D5100 and it's not as easy to get in and out of this thing as I was led to believe. It offers great protection, but more often than not, I leave it at home because it takes so long to get it in and out. I do a lot of traveling and my old backpack style camera case wasn't convenient. My husband found the Lowepro ad in one of his sail magazines. Just used it for travel to FL. I LOVE it, so nice to finally be able to take EVERYTHING along.

I have the Sony NEX-5 with the 18-200mm lens, and was looking for a case/sleeve for it so that I can put it in any bag. This case is perfect, the camera with open hood and the big lens is going in. I added a strap which is for around the neck and with that I connected the case with the camera strap, so when I take out the camera the case falls down, and after use I put the camera back. Perfect, I am so happy. I will, add also a photo.
Only it would be good if the producer could add such a strap.

This case is excellent! Its forgiving shape allows it to be used with both of my cameras and all my lenses, so I needn't buy multiple, model-specific cases for each piece of equipment. Neoprene is one of my favorite materials (I've been using neoprene laptop cases for years) as it offers just the right amount of protection without adding a lot of bulk. If you're very rough with your equipment or tend to carry around a lot of accessories this might not be the case for you as it's no substitute for a camera bag, but for casual photography sessions it's the perfect case to carry along just the necessities. Be sure to pay close attention to the specifications of this case; it comes in multiple sizes, so make sure you get the one that can accomodate the length of your lenses!Best Deals for HDE Neoprene Camera Case
These neoprene case is exactly what i was looking for. I like to walk with my DSLR camera. I usually only use a camera strap over my shoulder. I don't like risking scratching or breaking my camera tought. In the past, i used a more expensive neoprene case and i liked it a lot. This time, since i could find a cheaper one, i decided to give it a try. It works perfectly! No tether strap is included but i have sewn one easily. It is more than big enough for my Nikon D40 with 18-55. It could be used with a bigger DSLR body. I think it could work with a 50-200 lense too since i use my 18-55 with a sun shade installed all the time. The neoprene stretch enough for not even bothering to unhook velcro. It do the job!Honest reviews on HDE Neoprene Camera Case
Not exactly what i expected. i would not say it is bad because for the money it is a good value but not for a nikon coolpix L105. it is much too large to fit snuggly. the other drawback which i did not anticipate is that there is nothing to tether it to the camera. so you take the camera out of this case, and you have to find a place to stow it, perhaps a ring that one could thread the camera strap thru would be helpful. in any case, because it was too large for the camera the two "arms" with velcro had to be wrapped over farther then they were designed for leaving very little for the velcro to grab on to...... final result, while carrying camera over shoulder, velcro arms came loose and case fell off without my notice and is lost....Find helpful customer reviews and review ratings for HDE Neoprene Camera Case
Great case for the price. It fits my Nikon with a 200mm lens. It's a tight fit, but figure it will stretch.Friday, January 24, 2014

List Price: $274.99
Sale Price: $153.00

Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program One word describes this Backpack: "Capacious".
This line of DSLR backpacks represents the Flagship of Lowepro's urban adventurer.
CONSTRUCTION
The Lowepro Pro Runner 450 AW DSLR backpack is constructed of durable black 600d Polyester on its exterior and 210d Nylon PU Velex in its interior. The difference between this and its cousin, the 350 AW, is the larger capacity for longer lenses (300 mm versus 70-200 mm), more accessories(4 to 6 versus 3 to 4), and a larger widescreen laptop (17" versus 15.4"). AW stands for All Weather.
Carrying methods are flexible: conventional backpack carry, side carry and top carry. A durable feeling rubber grip on the side and top is comfortable. This facilitates easy navigation through customs, airport security and through busy terminals. The shoulder straps are padded, and the weight distribution is eased by the chest and waist straps. The weight of the bag without equipment is 6 pounds.
VERSATILITY
This bag is very big but it will still fit into an overhead compartment on an airplane (under current standards, May 2010): 13.4W X 11.4D X 19.9H in (Exterior). There is even an internal padded compartment for a notebook: 12.2W X 1.8D X 15.6H in and this fits my 15.4" Macbook Pro comfortably. It is located along the left side of the pack (when it is on your back) secured by a zipper.
The interior is subdivided with compartments that can be adjusted with padded dividers fastened by Velcro. The dividers are completely removable which allows me to use this as a convenient overnight bag, also. There is surrounding padded on the top, sides and bottom of the backpack's housing. It is up to your imagination to what configuration best suits the weight distribution of your valuables. This will fit a full sized SLR with a 300 mm lens. Depending upon the lenses that you carry, this will accommodate for 4 to 6 lenses/external flash/handheld meter/other accessories. What attracted me, also, was the ability to carry a compact sized tripod when traveling. An all weather cover is included, to protect your valuable equipment from rain. A padded mesh backpad facilitates the comfort of carrying. Zipper closure is augmented with a snap buckle closure.
The front pocket has a space for a small foldable poncho or rolled up T-shirt/gym shorts. The small pocket for passports is about 11 inches tall and about 4.5 inches wide. There is a small clip to hold keys. 2 four inch wide flat compartments for small items, a Velcro secured pouch, and a legal sized pocket for folders or magazines. The All Weather Cover is secured in the bottom of the front flap by Velcro. The nylon cover with elastic sides is sewn to the inner compartment, minimizing the chance for losing it. The quick release helps for covering the valuables in less than 15 seconds.
The inner pocket has plastic lined compartments secured by zippers. There are two padded pockets secured by Velcro to store memory cards.
The versatility of this bag is that there are so many pockets that allow for the user to have complete organization for travel. An outside pocket for documents such as tickets, passports and rental information can be stored. This is Sliplock compatible for adding additional items to the bag.
USE
For those who are ambitious enough to carry every accessory, this can be a heavy backpack. However, the generous padding does alleviate the weight very well.
PROs
Versatile
Extensively padded (inside and out)
Completely adjustable shoulder straps
Many compartments
Weather resistant with All Weather Cover
Shock resistant (light bumps)
Comfortable
Can be used as an overnight backpack
Travel compliant
Sturdy
CONs
Large (may not suit smaller framed individuals)
Heavy 6 pounds (even heavier if you put all equipment, notebook and extraneous items > 50 lbs)
No integrated wheels
CONCLUSION
If you have to pack it all, this is the best way to go. It is comfortable, versatile and resistant to the elements of water and light bumps from traveling.
Two thumbs up.
PROS
Design: Very thoughtfully laid out, convenient to use, with every detail accounted for. Especially like the waterproof cover built into the bottom of the bag that's easily accessed in a sudden downpour, and the built-in sideways camera sleeve located near the back. Great organizer front pocket for travel documents and personal items. All the pockets and build-ins remind me of Eagle Creek luggage, which I absolutely love.
Protectiveness: Your gear is completely covered in this thing.
Versatility: The internal padded dividers can be adjusted to conform to your lenses and accessories. Waterproof inside pockets for memory cards and other small items. Or you can remove the interior dividers altogether and use this as a backpack for short trips.
Build quality: This is solidly constructed, and should last for years.
CONS
Bulky: It's fairly big for a smaller framed person. I'm 5'4", and look slightly overwhelmed by this backpack. It's not heavy though (6 lbs), and it's comfortable to carry, thanks to the very padded, adjustable straps.
Looks: Not bad-looking, but a bit generic for those of us who like colorful bags.
When you unzip the front flap you will find pockets for your cell phone, MP3 player, pens, keys, documents and other small items. Opening up the main compartment, you will find 13 compartments that are all adjustable. You can remove the shelving to make them taller or shorter depending on your needs. All the compartments are well padded, so there is no fear of any damage to your equipment. Even the front flap has compartments.
This pack is also designed to take on an airplane, but with all the equipment that you can store in this pack it might take you a little while to get through security.
I can also see other uses for this backpack. If you are into research where you needed to pack out into the wilds and bring back samples of say soil or water, the padded compartments would protect your samples.
This is a very well thought out and constructed pack and I believe you would not be disappointed in owning this.

Honest reviews on Lowepro Pro Runner 450 AW Camera Backpack
Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program Whether you are a professional photographer or a serious traveler who likes to take along a camera kit, this backpack more than meets the needs of the seasoned road warrior. When I ordered this, I didn't think 19 inches was so much, but this can handle so much inside and out. It is well padded on the back and on the body straps. The lower part of the backpack has straps for support of the lower back and hips. There are two carrying handles--one on top and one on the side. There are bands to hold a tripod or monopod on the front and side. There is a side zipper to access the laptop pouch which can hold up to a 17" laptop. I have a 16 inch and it slips right in. On top, underneath the handle, there is a slot hiding a strap to connect it to other luggage. On the front the zipper reveals room to carry miscellaneous or personal items. On the bottom of the front, there is a velcro opening to access the rain pouch. Inside the main section there is so much room for carrying the camera body, many lenses and flashes, and more pockets for storing memory cards or whatever you decide. This backpack leaves plenty of room for customizing the interior to meet your needs. Right now I only own a camera body, an external flash, and three lenses. The only thing it is missing is wheels. Fortunately I have a lightweight trolley that I can use to carry this if I don't want to carry it as a backpack. It's big enough to be a cabin carry case if I take out the velco spacers. There is so much one can do with this bag that I highly recommend it if you travel and want to take plenty of camera equipment with you and know it will be well protected.Find helpful customer reviews and review ratings for Lowepro Pro Runner 450 AW Camera Backpack
Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program I had always been reluctant to buy a backpack to haul my camera gear along on photo trips. I thought it would be heavy, cumbersome, and uncomfortable. When FedEx showed up with it I was amazed at the size of the box, and even more so when I realized the big box was necessary as the bag itself is rather large. I am able to place all of my important gear in it. This includes two DSLRs, one with a telephoto lens attached and another with a wide angle attached. There was also room for a third DSLR body, three more lens, a set of extension tubes, a standard flash unit, a ring flash, with room left over for cleaning equipment, extra batteries, memory cards, etc. It also has a pouch to slide up to a 17 inch laptop and a strap to attach a tripod. Although this is a nice option I personally do not take a laptop on a photo trip. So with the pack pretty much loaded I adjusted the straps and pulled it up to my back. After making some more adjustments with the straps I was very surprised at how comfortable it felt. It is well padded in the right places and as someone with arthritis in the lumbar spine it actually felt good, sort of like a back brace. The following weekend I took it out for a half day trip to the local zoo. I had no problem carrying it for nearly five hours. The only problem of course is that when you need to switch equipment you have to take it off in order to get at it. But that is true of any backpack and can't really be considered a fault. All in all I am very pleased with the bag and I wish I had not taken so long to give it a try. Absolutely a recommended buy.Saturday, December 21, 2013

Very nice camera case! Solid construction with water proof o-ring and pressure relief valve. Protect your valuable gear with Pelican.Best Deals for Pelican 1550 Case with Foam for Camera (Silver)
these Pelican cases are the best way to keep valuable items safe & dry. the 'pick & pluck' foam is customizable to pretty much any contents you want [it comes as a solid sheet and you 'pluck' out little rectangles to fit your contents perfectly]. I highly recommend these cases to keep virtually anything protected (especially electronics)Honest reviews on Pelican 1550 Case with Foam for Camera (Silver)
Quality control isn't tops. Bottom (hinge side) seam isn't straight it bows inward and I suspect won't make a waterproof seal. Still, it enables you to put all your stuff in one place for transport. However, if water/moisture is your concern then this case, at least the one I received, isn't a reliable bet.Find helpful customer reviews and review ratings for Pelican 1550 Case with Foam for Camera (Silver)
I use Pelican cases for precision scientific equipment transport. The cases hold up to airline baggage handling with no damage to the contents. Excellent.Tuesday, December 17, 2013

I originally got this case in the taller version (Tamrac 3814) in eco green for my iphone 4 with a hard Speck case. I liked the streamlined-ness of it so much that I ordered the shorter version, this one, #3812, for our little Canon Powershot SD630 camera because it would exactly fit and not be any bulkier or heavier. The case is a nice soft but durable neoprene material to protect from bumps. It should be water resistant although not completely water proof, with a nice long shoulder strap and no extra bulky pockets. It has two zipper pulls. It has a belt strap on the back if you like to carry your little camera that way too. I Don't need extra pouches or pockets if it'll add bulkiness (and therefore ugliness). Our family really needs the shoulder straps because we can sling it over our shoulder and go. This way, we can access the camera quickly for photos, no digging in my purse to pull it out, and it doesn't add any appreciable weight and doesn't look like an obvious bulky camera case slung around my shoulder. I would have liked if it came in a medium blue or dark blue though. Got this one when they were $3.25, so it is definitely a good buy, but even at a higher price, it has the advantage of minimalism over the multitude of bulkier, multi-pouched, plain black canvassy nylon camera cases out there.

Fits the camera and provides good protection. The red color makes it easy to find when it is among lots of other stuff.Best Deals for Tamrac 3812 Neo's Digital 12 Camera Case (Rust)
With two cameras and only one case, it was a definite must that I purchase another one. The local camera store did not have anymore so it was a joy to find it online. Now both cameras are fully protected at all times.Honest reviews on Tamrac 3812 Neo's Digital 12 Camera Case (Rust)
I was looking for just a protective sheath for the camera so that I could throw it in my backpack. The strap is very long and perfect for wearing around the neck, waist, cross body, whatever. There's very little extra room with the SD980IS which is perfect because it doesn't slide around.
