This is the perfect size to hold my camera and a few extra items. The carrying strap is great for toting my camera wherever I want to take it.

We chose this camera case because it has several pockets with is great!!!! I just wished it was a little bit bigger to have more space for the cords, because we like to keep everything together that goes with the camera. I chose this particular one because it would fit on his belt loop and not be too big to get in his way.

This camera case was just like the pictures, and my camera fits in it very well.

Recommend this to anyone.

This provides your camera with protection from scratches and minor bumps. Not too much padding, but doesn't add much bulk either.

The Panasonic Lumix LX3 just fits with a little bit of wiggle room. I like the fairly compact size of the LX3, and didn't want a case that made it something large to carry. The attachment clip is a handy addition.

I bought this pouch about 6 months ago to store my Olympus XZ-1 camera in.

Overall, the pouch is not bad. Good quality materials and craftsmanship. The magnetic closure is pretty neat too, and works well. It also comes with a clip to hang it on a belt or a packpack.

However, it only provides limited protection for a camera. It will protect the camera from slight bumps and scratches while it is stored in a backpack or something, but I would not trust this pouch to protect my camera from a drop on the floor or any hard surface.

Overall, it is a neat pouch, but I would not buy it again to store my camera, I would look for something sturdier.

Pros:

Good quality materials and craftsmanship

Magnetic closure is very convenient

Comes with clip

Does not add too much bulk to your device.

Cons:

Feels like it does not provide enough protection or cushioning, which is why you need a pouch or camera bag in the first place, right?

Best Deals for Tasca 30 Camera Pouch by Lowepro

The Tasca 30 is great for point and shoot cameras that are too large to fit in your pocket and when you don't want to carry a camera in a case with a strap. Just attach it to the belt loop of your pants.

The downside is that the magnets that keep the pouch closed tend to shift around and need to be repositioned often.

Honest reviews on Tasca 30 Camera Pouch by Lowepro

This is one of the best little pouches I have ever owned. Containing no complicated closures or zippers, accessability due to its magnetic closure is very simple. It also boasts a very handy clip. I use the pouch for my compact video camera and keep it clipped to my handbag or backpack for easy access when traveling. I love mine so much that I purchased this one for my son to use for his camera. He loves it too!

I have used this case for over a year now and I love it. Not too bulky yet provides the needed protection. I often attach to my short by the carabiner and hardly know my camera is there. Very cool. I have a slighly larger point and shoot panasonic lumix with a wide angle lens.

Perfect size, lots of pouches for accessories and manuals and of course you still have room for the actual camera. Comes with a shoulder strap that is easy enough to remove.

It's cheap and a bag. What more do you really want from a bag?? I suppose it could drive you to work, but then it wouldn't be a bag.

Best Deals for Pearstone Onyx 1030 Digital Camera/Camcorder Shoulder Bag

I got this bag for my new X920 camcorder, it fits perfectly with Wasabi VW-VBN260 (the bigger one). I put on UV filter and lens hood, it still fits nicely. I put three SD cards and two extra batteries, there is still space for little things (not Wasabi charger though). I used for family vacation early this month, it was very comfortable on the shoulder, easy to take out / put in the camcorder. I would recommend it to anyone who's shopping for bags for X920 or similar.

This bag was a excellent value: the perfect size for my digital camcorder and several accessories. The linning is strong and won't rip on you when you overfill. There are lots of pockets for storage.

I purchased this bag specifically for my Canon VIXIA HF G10 Full HD Camcorder. The camera and accessories (including extra battery and cables) fit nicely without being overly stuffed. The shoulder strap is comfortable, but I prefer to use the carry handle. Seems to be put together well and will probably help protect the camera if I ever drop it (knock on wood).

Tenba 638-341 Messenger Camera Bag (Black) Reviews

Tenba 638-341 Messenger Camera Bag
Customer Ratings: 4 stars

I guess there is no single bag that meets everyone's needs and all the major manufacturers have features the others lack. Its the same with this Tenba Messenger bag. First, the good. Its light. Current pro digital SLRs are simply too heavy (I've seen guys doing "street shooting" using roll around bags!) so shaving a pound off the bag weight is terrific. Next, the reason I bought the bag--it opens at the top! Eureka. After you've had to use 2 or 3 hands to mess with clips or even set your bag down to open or close it, you realize the easiest & quickest way to open a camera bag (or a box of corn flakes) is from the top. While this bag doesn't have the superior, double zipper arrangement that really gives unlimited access, having just a slit does help conceal what's in the bag. Of course, once you pull out your 5D with giant white L lens, people will probably guess the bag is not full of old socks.

Now for the less good. Remember that great top access? The top flap has no rigidity at all. So, when the bag is on your shoulder and you tug on the zipper, its like trying to zip a jacket that's crumpled up. You have to straighten the two sides of the top flap, so now we're back to needing 2 hands. That's still better than having a bag with clips on the bottom but there's another hitch. Even with everything zipped and latched there's a lot of clearance between the top flap and the interior of the bag. In other words, for small lenses, you don't even need the top zipper; you can reach under the sides of the top flap even when its "closed". So not a bag for wet weather.

This is just my personal taste but the type of shoulder pad Tenba uses on this bag is like an SUV. Big enough to call attention to itself yet not very comfortable. True, it does not slip but it tugs. My preference is the suede pads used on the better Tamrac bags, which miraculously don't slip yet are super comfortable. But that's personal taste and I can just clip on a Tamrac strap. Lastly--and this shows Tenba really does listen--this bag has the usual enormous strip of Velcro but it also has a fold-down flap to cover the Velcro so you don't announce yourself every time you need to take a photo.

All taken into account, on a dry day, with the top flap unzipped, and for just over $100, its a nice bag but (my opinion) not as well thought out as other Tenba bags.

I subjected my new Tenba large Messenger camera bag to an admittedly severe test in France the past three weeks. I carried a Canon 5D2, a 70-200 zoom and four small primes all over Normandy and Brittany. Through airports I added my small laptop and a mesh bag of chargers, cards, card reader and other assorted stuff. So, the bag was admittedly rather heavy.

First of all, I really like this bag. It carries well, at least in part because of the well-padded strap. I am under no illusion that it does not look like a camera bag. Fully loaded, it couldn't be anything else. I do like the upper zipper access to the bag, allowing quick access to my camera with current choice of lens. I even did lens changes through the upper zipper. The bag accommodated my 70-200 zoom, even with the hood attached. In rainy weather, I kept a folded Velcro wrap between the lid and the contents. A user would do well to keep a plastic sheet to put over the entire bag in a downpour.

I carried it in very crowded cities and had some concern that a skilled pickpocket could access my lenses through the gap in the top on each side of the bag. I have heard other users say a zipper closure might be helpful in such situations.

In general, whatever one carries in the bag, whether body, lenses or small laptop is easily accessible, which is what I wanted.

I have one concern. After a few days of carrying the bag, I noticed tiny metal bits around the attachment points for the strap clips. On closer inspection, I see fairly deep cuts in the rounded portions of the strap clips. If I were a pro, carrying this bag often with this kind of weight to press conferences or to weddings, it looks as if I could expect one of these clips to snap eventually, dumping my gear in the floor.

Tenba should consider a fix for this. The triangular attachment points are super hard metal, just as the advertising material claims. However, the edges have very sharp angular corners. These are rough on the clips, which are made of an obviously softer metal. I suggest rounding off the attachment fixture edges and/or using a harder metal on the clips.

Again, I love this bag. Tenba obviously consulted working photographers when they designed it.

I really like the Tenba Medium camera bag. My only complaint is that it is a little big for overhead plane compartments. Other then that it held 3 lens and the camera wit a long lens attached plus a host of other odds and ends.

Honest reviews on Tenba 638-341 Messenger Camera Bag (Black)

I was reluctant to buy it because of its size. It looks smaller in black, and it holds as much as they say it could. It also has a hand held strap that can be attached if needed.

When the bag arrived, my first thought was 'omg it's huge' for a girl. Very roomy with lots of compartments for accessories and personal items. Could fit in my 12.1" laptop as well. Material felt a bit thin but I guess that's what made it light. Removable padded compartments allowed me to use it w other large bags. Overall good but may be more suitable for men and pros. Hope to see more camera bags designed for women.

Travel Blue Le Pocket Water Resistant Neoprene Pouch, Pink, One Size
Customer Ratings: 3.5 stars

This is just as described, size is correct in description (5" x 3" x 3/4") The zipper looks good quality.

I bought the "mint blue" hoping that the color would be like shown in the picture, and it is a very nice shade of turquoise.

My only concern, and the only reason I did not give 5 stars is the inside stitches for the rather firm rubber logo on the front. The stitches, in a nylon thread, can be felt and I am concerned they may scratch the screen or lens.

My solution was to carefully remove the logo and the stitches, to leave the inner, smooth fabric free of anything that might scratch a lens or screen. The stitches for the belt loop are softer thread and should be okay.

There is a 24 month manufacturer warranty, that may be voided as I removed their logo.

There is also a unique number on the sewn in label inside the pouch. This number can be registered, then if you lose the case the finder can email the company with the number. They do not state what happens next, but it might be a useful feature if your phone or camera is in the case when it is misplaced, and the finder notices the label and goes to the website.

Overall, I'd recommend this pouch.

I really enjoy this bag. I've had it now for over six months, I use it for work daily, sometimes for photography, and even on a vacation. I purchased it primarily because it was both a real photography bag and in addition a normal day to day backpack.

Good:

Holds a 17 inch widescreen laptop

Holds my SLR and two additional lenses

Well constructed

Extremely comfortable straps

Large chest strap is removable (has concealed Velcro)

Two large side pockets and two side "quick access" pockets are very convenient

Top zip pocket (above top compartment) is almost hidden and offers more storage then you'd expect

No chance of spilling any content when opened with the bag vertical

Water bounces off of it

Wall splitting bottom and top compartments is removable

Bad:

The bag has this mesh stuff on the back padding which feels like a cheese grater as it rides up and down your back (fine with a jacket on, but painful after wearing just a t-shirt for several hours)

The side pockets have this wire mesh within them, so when you dig your hand in to dig stuff out which is at the bottom of the pockets (e.g. coins, memory cards) you pull your hand out and it is bright red from brushing against this stuff. Really offers little benefit being there too, as it only exists so you can have three compartments in the side pockets rather than two (and the third is so tiny and inaccessible that it is almost useless).

No "real" rain hood.

I'd give this bag a 4.5/5. I'd buy another Tenba. To be honest if they fixed the side pockets so they didn't have the wire mesh within them (which is a huge design flaw) I'd be very pleased. The rain hood and back-mesh issues I can live with (as I said, clothing choice can mitigate one, and you can purchase after-market rain hoods)...

I looked at several similar camera/laptop/personal gear backpacks and this is by far the best. It's comfortable, unobtrusive and small enough to fit under the seat of even the smallest commuter plane, yet holds an amazing amount. In the camera section, I can fit a pro DSLR with 28-105 lens attached, 70-200 F2.8, 17-35 wide-angle, and battery charger. In the other compartments, I currently have a small laptop, Kindle DX, GPS, packable rain jacket, toiletries, various memory cards, a snack, and a paperback guidebook, and there's still a little room to spare. It's a great investment and a real bargain at this price.

This is by far the best bag I had ever bought and it din't broke the bank either. Before ordering this one I ordered a Booq but i return it as the price wasn't in pair for what I got.

This one in the other hand it only cost me $140 here on Amazon and is a solid bag. Its big it has lots of pocket and it just feels strong.

Zippers open and close with no issues I can fit my Macbook Pro 13" with a Be.Ez Sleeve. A Canon Xsi a 18-55 lens and a 70-200 lens. I also have space for charges, cables, usbs, ipod, Kodak Mini Camcorder a spare T-Shirt some snacks and some room to spare.

This is a most buy.

I have bought and sold several camera/laptop backpacks trying to find one that carried what I needed.

First, I don't carry more than 2 lenses and a flash, have a 14" laptop and of course have an iPod, Kindle, travel wallet, glasses, phone(s)and more crap than I really need.

This carries it all. I love the pockets, the top area, the fact I can pull out the bottom and still take a camera but put other stuff in it like a backpack and STILL have all my handy pockets and such.

The straps are great when it is loaded down also.

But Tenba, we need some shoulder strap pouches that work. I had to buy Manhattan Portage to get the right direction on my velcro attachment points.

Tenba makes great bags. I have one that is at least 10 years old and I use it for my work where I just need a darned fine camera bag.

I haven't taken it out for an event yet, but I was able to pack all of my camera gear into the bag.

I had to rip out most of the compartments, but I was able to squeeze in my 50D, 24-70 f/2.8, 70-200 f/4, 50 f/1.4, flash, lens hoods, charger all in the camera compartment. Not much room to spare. The lower portion of the bag is not as usable for equipment, except for stuff that you wouldn't go for often, not too accessible.

The notebook fits a 15" as described with some other compartments for misc camera/laptop accessories.

You do have to completely take off the bag, uncurl the straps around the bag and then unzip for your equipment. Definitely not for accessibility, but your stuff is definitely secure from the random person reaching into your bag. Not many compartments outside the bag, maybe for some paper on the left and right side.

Update: 2012-01-16

I took this on a trip last year overseas and this bag was perfect. Doesn't look like a camera bag so it was definitely inconspicuous. I do have to say that it's inconvenient to open and close on the move, but when on the ground everything is accessible. When i fully packed it with my laptop and camera gear, it was hard to close the bag because it was filled up. It would be nice to have pockets for other stuff, or even a water bottle as reviews have mentioned in other areas. The side pockets are useless, doesn't really fit anything, except paper.

Crumpler makes great bags, I own two this being my second. It easily held all my gear for a trip to Yellowstone last summer (though I did have to remove my battery grip for it to fit). It's very comfortable to wear and I plan on taking it with me to Chicago this summer. The only thing keeping it from earning a fifth star is that when the bag is stuffed to the brim with gear, the side pouches are difficult to get into. Don't hesitate to buy this bag!

No better nor worse than other competing products; installation can be messy, bubbles need to be worked out, overpriced. You're paying more for the packaging, the necessary liquid spray, the little rubber squeegee, and the small microfiber cloth. I've used other products that were easier to install, less expensive, and just as durable.

Best Deals for ZAGG NIK1V1S invisibleSHIELD Screen Protector for Nikon 1 V1

Well, after reading horror stories about installation from other users (most of whom were applying on Ipads or Ipods) , I was a little nervous about this product. I finally installed it tonight and it wasn't too bad. ZAGG claims that micro bubbles will work themselves out after 2 -6 days (interestingly the instructions on the box says 4-6 days but the enclosed paper instructions says 1-2 days, we'll see. The shield fit the viewfinder perfectly and the small imperfections aren't a huge distraction. They should be more specific about the amount of application solution to apply as I'm sure this could have helped the imperfections. If I can edit this review, I'll let you know.

2 days later, it is evident that the micro bubbles aren't going to work themselves out but I would still highly recommend this product. Way better than the cut to fit screen protectors that go for 20 for $19.95. It's apparent that this thing will last.

For 39 dollars.... What a DEAL! this thing is rugged, stylish, and most importantly super padded and super functional. holds my d5000 with either lens attached, 18-55 or 70-300, the other lens, and flash with room to spare. easy to hook up tripod with handy side strappage. so glad i finally got a great looking bag that holds it all!

Inside and out, this bag is incredible. Better than I imagined, even. It's built like a tank, heavily padded, and doesn't look like a camera bag. The interior pads can be moved around and repositioned via velcro inside the bag, so I have no idea what people are talking about when they say their camera won't fit. The strap is really comfortable. It's been a joy to use, and I feel that my gear is safe the whole time. I sometimes wonder how many people around me realize that I'm packin' a camera, lenses, and other gear inside this bag as I walk by.

Here's what I fit:

-Canon T3 with a lens attached facing up

-three lenses total

-speedlight

-small telescoping tripod

-macro extension tubes

-remote shutter cable

-charger, extra battery, memory cards, etc.

Lots of room, good construction, and to me, it looks good too. Can fit a Canon EOS 7D with battery grip and 28-135 lens, two other medium lenses, flash and accessories. Comfortable shoulder strap. Last but not least, excellent price.

Honest reviews on Opteka Excursion Series C700 Weatherproof Canvas Shoulder Bag

In our studio we have a lot of bags. Most of them are Tamrac and Lowepro. They're excellent bags. But we needed a basic, medium/small bag for shooting on the run. It needed to be durable, spacious and compact. I stumbled on the Opteka bags while trying to find a simple canvas bag that was something like one of the very old ones we have here. When I cam across this one, I was skeptical because the price seemed almost too reasonable. I took a chance and bought the bag. When it arrived, I was blown away. This has all of the construction quality of the more expensive bags from Tamrac and Lowepro, and in some ways surpasses their quality. For example, where Tamrac always uses heavy duty plastic buckles, Opteka is using actual metal ones. It's 2011 and I didn't even know anyone still did that. Needless to say I was really impressed.

Size wise the bag is great too. It's compact on the outside, but holds quite a lot on the inside. This bag, all at once, comfortably holds:

-Canon 5D Mkii (without lens attached)

-24-70mm 2.8L

-85mm 1.8

-50mm 1.4

-35mm 2

580EXII

And after all that It still has room for wireless triggers, extra batteries, memory cards, filters, diffusers and lens hoods. It's really a remarkable product.

There are only three real cons that I can see.

First, the opening at the top of the bag is a bit snug. When I purchased it, I'd imagined that the opening to access the equipment would be very large so that you could easily see everything in the bag at a glance. It's a little confined in that department. But I've actually found this to be beneficial. The weight of the bag, and the design allows you to keep shooting with the bag over your shoulder and if you simply keep the flap pulled back, the smaller opening allows you to quickly access gear without having to set the bag down, and without worrying that things are going to fall out of the bag if it's tipped a little too far in one direction.

Second, the dividers inside are velcro, much like the other bags on the market. However, the velcro is placed in such a way that there's only really one or two arrangements you can make with them. I'd have liked to see dividers that were more versatile. At first I was disappointed with this because I wanted to be able to construct the inside so it was as much like our other on-the-go bags as possible, in terms of where things belong in the bag. But, I found an arrangement, that was a little different, but still more than adequate.

And lastly, the styling is a little funny. The picture makes the bag look like plain classic styling, maybe a bit adventurous even. But upon closer inspection, it actually looks a like it has some Native American styling or something. I think it looks fine, but I'm sure some people would be turned off by it.

As others have mentioned this bag holds a lot of gear. One of the biggest selling points for me is that is that is can be used as your second carryon on an airline. As big as it is, it is designed to fit under the seat, so it counts as your hand held carry on. I've traveled with it many times and never had to gate check it. It's a little tight on the commuter planes, but I've always been able to carry it on to the plane with me.

Generally I have two camera bodies and an assortment of lenses, flashes etc. It has separate compartments for extra flash cards and batteries as well as a few other pockets useful for battery chargers, note books etc.

I've been using my Tamrac Pro12 bag for several years and it's still in like-new condition. The bag is plenty large enough to hold all my gear with room to spare. The dividers allow for a large variety of layout options and has plenty of pockets for accessories. The bag is well padded and made with a tough snag and rip resistant fabric. All the seams appear to well stiched too, with box-stiching on all the major stress points. The carry strap is contoured, well padded and slip-resistant which makes for a much more comfortable day of lugging heavy camera bodies and lenses around.

Every couple months I recommend spraying the outside of the bag down with a quality water-repelling spray such as that used for tents and other camping gear. This will do wonders for weatherproofing the bag to prevent your delicate equipment from getting damp if you're out and get caught in an unexpected rain.

This bag is GREAT. I use it toghter with a tamrac backpack. But i prefere this one. It's nice and big. and easy to adjust to your needs.

I use this bag when i travel by plane as my handluggage. It fits my basic travel camera gear and some other stuff like a book and a bottle of water.

The strap is good and doesn't hurt.

Honest reviews on Tamrac 5612 Pro 12 Camera Bag (Black)

Have been able to my Canon 20D, 70-300mm lens,Canon Elan,70-280mm lens, a 50mm lens, 580 and 430 flashes, Turbo Z,Epson P2000, all of chargers into the main compartments. Multiple cables, extra batteries, manuals, cleaning gear, and everything else required for a shoot. Love the room and all the little small pouches to stash stuff in. Only minor complaint is the number of zippers and buckles needed to access main bag. But I am anal and always zip and snap them and will never pick my bag up and have all fall out. Price was unreal. Buy it.

I had a Tamrac bag that gave good service for a number of years and wanted a larger bag. I investigated Tamrac bags at their website to be able to make comparisons between products.

This camera bag has plenty of space and is very well made. I do miss the opening in the old bag that could hold my 8x10 grey card,a notebook and my camera manual The partions inside are formed to support your camera with lenses mounted and you can customize since everything is anchored with velcor strips. The bag seems very durable, and is very roomy as this is one of their larger bags. Quality at a reasonable price. :)
