Best Waterproof Bag Cases Pouch for Digital Cameras Deals
My wife and I are traveling to Alaska this summer and I heard that it rains a lot in some of the cities we will be in. I bought this case to protect her compact camera from rain (not diving). It appears to work but it is hard to use the zoom on her camera through the flexible case. It can be used but with difficulty.

Review of Lowepro Event Messenger 250 Photo/Laptop Digital SLR Camera Case
I purchased this to hold my Canon PowerShot, a future ultra-book, and miscellaneous paraphenalia. It has stood up to the test of time and performed flawlessly, even to holding the now purchased ultra-book.
The configurable partitions make it a breeze to customize the bag to whatever you're carrying that day.

This one is cute, and works just great. What I like about this camera case is that it looks like fun, it speaks for my style "someone who is not taking life too seriously". My friend complimented me with this one, and asked the rather annoying question if people actually still own digital cameras. Haha. I would definitely recommend this product, and this one will go with me to my future travels.

Great fit for the Panasonic LUMIX DMC-LX7, I didn't buy from Amazon because I bought from the Camera shop where I tried out about a dozen small camera bags, and found this to be the smallest bag that comfortably fits the LX7.

Reviews of Brenthaven BX-2 Holster Bag
I just checked this one for size with my D600. I was annoyed by many of the holster packs that have room to spare but in the process, create a large bulky holster. This one's for those of you who want a conservatively sized pack. Your camera won't be swimming around inside. It may not have room for spare lenses (other than very small ones) but for my setup or someone with a similar size or smaller lens, this one's a pleasant change.
Good padding, but a great padded case for just body and basic lens.

I like backpack type cases, whether for computers or cameras. It leaves your arms free, although you have to put the pack down to get things in and out of it. It holds my DSLR with a lens on it and three other lenses, including a very big 80~200 zoom. It has plenty of pockets and places to store things, and the tripod holder works very well. I also like the handle on top that lets you just pick the pack up and go.
Full, it's quite a load to carry, but I think I'd rather have it on my back than slung over my shoulder. However, it's hard to say whether this pack is the one for you. A shoulder bag is easier to get things in and out of, and a belt pack is very convenient if you only need room for a few items.
Carrying the equipment when its in the bag is much easier on my shoulders than my old Domke shoulder bag. I don't have much of a problem with getting the camera out and changing lens as I don't often change lens when I'm on the run (usually when I want to swap lens frequently is when I'm standing still taking lots of pictures of some event such as a sporting event).
Secondary storage area is great for carrying other stuff -book, snacks, video camera (small), etc.
Very happy with the bag. Much preferred over my old shoulder bag.
So, even though it's called a "mini" trekker, it holds a ton of stuff. Of all the bags I have and have looked at, for me this is the most functional.
This thing has been on hundreds of trips and still looks and works like new. There are lots of good bags out there, LowePro makes really nice stuff. This bag is worth looking at before you buy anything else.

I use the bag with my Canon 5D + 4 lens (70-200L, 24-70L, 16-35L and 85mm) and a flash and that pretty much fills up the primary storage area. The adjustable pads made it easy to lay everything out, but it is packed tight.Carrying the equipment when its in the bag is much easier on my shoulders than my old Domke shoulder bag. Good little backpack. Has plenty of room, for it's size. Fits in plane overhead compartment with no problem, even when full.Honest reviews on Lowepro Mini Trekker AW Backpack (Green)
I bought one of these about 13-14 years ago. Back then it didn't have the AW feature. But in other respects the bag hasn't changed much over the years... I used to carry 2 x Leica SLRs and a set of lenses, 24mm or a 35mm (not both), 50mm, 90mm, 200mm, along with a Sunpak flash, film etc. Now I carry a Lumix DMC-FZ20 bridge cameray, FZ20 lens hood, LX7 backup P&S, Samsung Camcorder, and a bunch of batteries, chargers, and misc cables. In the front flap I carry either a 15.6" laptop or a 10.1" Netbook. So, even though it's called a "mini" trekker, it holds a ton of stuff. Of all the bags I have and have looked at, for me this is the most functional.

I bought this backpack based on the two previous reviews, and I have to say that I'm pleased with it, overall. There are a couple of little things that I haven't adjusted myself to yet, since I haven't used the backpack a lot yet. But I haven't found a good way to attach and carry my tripod. When I figure that out, I'll have no complaints at all. I also have a little problem with one of my cameras fitting into one of the camera compartments. My Nikon D200 has an added battery pack on the bottom, which makes it a little too tall to fit in the designated place, but it looks like I can reorganize the compartments without too much trouble, so I plan to try that.Friday, September 19, 2014
HAKUBA USA INC PSTC400 LIGHT STAND CASE Reviews
I actually bought this bag for a fairly large tripod that is easier to carry around with a bag than without it. I gather that what applies to the tripod applies to lightstands as well though.
Well made bag. A nice touch is the velcro divider in the side pouch the pouch is big enough to warrant it. The double zipper design that opens up on one end and goes almost to the other end provides easy access to your gear inside. Protection will be adequate; it's well padded for daily use. But I wouldn't use it to check my tripod for a flight the bag will not protect for abuse by baggage handlers.
A bit disappointing are the straps at the bottom of the bag. The idea is that you can use them to tie down your gear, but the use of camera strap style buckles (as opposed to backpack style quick-releases) baffles me. Every time you want to use the straps you have to weave the one end through the buckle. Was a snap-release that much more expensive for a bag at this price? For this reason I rate this bag with only 4 stars, not 5 because outside that this bag offers tremendous value for money.
It's just the right size and fits in my trunk (Maxima). I shoot weddings and take this bag filled with (2) 10' light stands, (1) Promaster Tripod, (2) 32" umbrellas, (1) light pole, (2) extension cords. There is also a side zippered pocket that holds hardware/brackets. This is a really nice bag for the price and would highly reccomend this one if you want/need to carry several stands/tripod. I could probably fit one more inside if I had to.

For those who want a shorter case, Hakuba makes it, but this one does 2 2214 lightstands, SLIK pro 700 tripod with tall joystick head, plus although a tight fit, a couple of foldup softboxes and umbrellas and their brackets. Fortunately its tough zipper seems able to hold it all in. The shoulder strap is adequate, but not comfy enough to avoid the nice grips. A bit too much gear for one bag but since I need another traveling lightstand, another PSTC400 will even it out, It seems very well-made and -padded. It's only a little more money for this higher level of quality. While there is still an argument for studio strobes, the trend out of the studio, toward lightweight portability and shoe flashes is well-served by protective cases such as this. Recommended.Best Deals for HAKUBA USA INC PSTC400 LIGHT STAND CASE

I was looking for a large bag for my tripod, most other bags are small and not well made. I am able to fit not only my large tripod, on my shoot last week I was also able to fit my camera tripod, 2 light stands, 1 mic stand. That normal would have cost me 3 trips to the car and back. I am very pleased with this bag, fits in the car (side to side) and keeps my fluid heads protected. I will get 1 or maybe two more of these and I love the size and construction top notch for professionals.Find helpful customer reviews and review ratings for HAKUBA USA INC PSTC400 LIGHT STAND CASE

Review of Canon PSC-2000 Leather Case for G2 (Brown)
This product is shown as a recommended accessory for a Canon G3 camera. I purchased one and found it will not fit a G3 camera under any circumstances. It is designed for the G2. You should take this item off your accessory list for the G3 camera.
I already have a couple of bags in different sizes with pockets, etc. This is leather protection, it's not a bag with a bunch of gadget pockets and it wasn't intended to be a bag. I like it because I can carry my G2 with me and know it's protected and I can begin taking pictures much faster than if it were in a bag. The swivel screen still works and you have access to all controls. But no easy access to battery and CF compartments, which is a downer but really, there's no way around that.
It comes with a leather strap to replace the nylon one that shipped with your camera (if you choose to). It is just as long as the nylon one so I can carry the camera easily like an ammo belt with the camera itself behind me on my back. This is a safe, secure way to carry the camera and I don't even know it's there.
I like the case, I think it's perfect for taking the camera somewhere with a minimum of fuss, and it fits in a motorcycle saddlebag. Easy to use and carry protection, with a nostalgic, classy look, nothing more, nothing less.
The best part of this experience was Amazon's return policy. What a breeze! I've never seen such a simple way to return things. Heck, they even paid the postage!
Yes, the case is in two parts, but this is how standard SLR cameras have been made for years. And contrary to what other are saying, you do not have to 'take one part off and set it aside in order for you to use the camera.' While not recommended during extensive use, you can have the upper part dangle. This is simply how old-style SLR camera cases have been made for years!
And yes, accessibility is limited with the case, but I really don't know how they could have made the case be protective without it limiting some of the access. The ports that are available are the power and the PC connection ports.
Look, the main reason why I bought this is because I don't want the body of the G2 scratched up, and protected from minor bumps and drops. The case does this fine. And it good looking to boot.

The perfect case is an illusion. I mean, even a small bag is a bag and you have to take the camera OUT of the bag and find a place for the bag while shooting, right? So why is the fact that this has two pieces, one of which you need to find a place for while shooting such a big deal? Beats me.I already have a couple of bags in different sizes with pockets, etc. This is leather protection, it's not a bag with a bunch of gadget pockets and it wasn't intended to be a bag. Yes, the case is dark 'chocolate' brown. I actually like it... It actually adds to the "classic" look to the case.Yes, the case is in two parts, but this is how standard SLR cameras have been made for years. This case looks and fits great. I hope Amazon sells this in black. I unknowingl bought a brown from somewhere else (still looks great but it's a bit of a disappointment because silver would look great with black). I am satisfied with this buy overall. A few notes on usage: it's somewhat inconvenient because this thing comes in 2 pieces. so when you take pictures, you'll have to put one piece somewhere else. The piece that is attached to the camera allows you to use the power and other ports/outlets but you'll have to remove it to change the flashcard. i am satisfied over all though.Sunday, April 6, 2014

As a hobby photographer I was looking for a bag to store my light stands and umbrellas when not in use. Most bags I have found are designed to hold items much longer than I need (or are too expensive or both) so I took a chance on this 30" bag as the price was right. The bag will zip open on one end for access and also has a zipper that runs the length of the bag. There are two internal "sleeves" running the length of the bag. Each will hold one light stand. My stands are 6 and 7 feet with collapsed lengths of 27.5" and 28.5" respectively. This 30" bag is just (barely) long enough for my taller stand. The smaller stand seems to be made for this bag (or vice versa). I have a shoot through and two reflective umbrellas and unfortunately this bag is too small to hold all three plus two stands. It will hold two stands and two umbrellas however. There is a zippered outer pouch that easily holds my two umbrella/flash brackets. (one of my stands came with a bag that will hold two umbrellas so I'm covered there) There is no shoulder strap on the CowboyStudio bag as another reviewer has stated. The bag does have two carry strap "handles" however that Velcro together like a gym bag. They have been sewn on about 1.5" off center. How do you say quality control in Chinese? Even though this item came sealed in plastic the bottom of the carry bag was very soiled--like it had been put down on a dirty floor. All said, this carry bag will be fine for my needs and may do the same for you. Just be sure to measure carefully. This may be a 30" bag but that is an OUTSIDE measurement. For infrequent use you can not beat the price of this bag.

Review of Interfit INT437 Super Coolite 5 kit Bag with Wheels (Black)

List Price: $115.99

It's a nicely made bag and made of quality material. I purchased it to travel and carry my equipment but after receiving it it was really bigger then I realized!I had purchased the Super Coolite 5 lighting equipment from Interfit. I was disappointed that it did not include a bag, which is a must have and should be included, shame on Interfit. They do sell seperately of course the Interfit INT437 bag which is specifically designed for this lighting equipment. Everything fits very nicely. There are two levels to the bag. At the bottom of the bag are four flexible straps that are designed for the two tripods that come with the Super Coolite 5 lighting system. The straps fit very snug around the tripods. No sliding around in the bag. I placed the power cables, softbox rods, softbox covers, external softbox covers in this section as well. I also placed my own circular reflector there as well. I also should have enough room for my camera tripod as well. The floor of the second level is then placed over the bottom section and is attached with velcro. On the upper level there is a padded divider secured with more velcro with the flexibility of three different areas it can be placed. On the right I placed the two high contrast metal reflectors. The fit is secure with very little lateral movement. On the left I placed the light bulbs. I kept the plastic casing, (which easily snaps open) with the thin paper material around it. I also kept the original shipping cardboard frames for the light bulbs which give you additional padding for the fragile bulbs. The fit was perfect, almost like it was designed to store the light bulbs in their original packaging. Below the light bulbs I placed the two Super Cool Lite 5 Heads. I secured bubble wrap around them to give them some extra protection, although the box seems to be padded fairly well. I just like the extra insurance of extra padding. There is black secured cover split in the middle that connects with velcro that covers the top section. The zipper works well. The wheels appear sturdy enough. Straps appear strong. So far the bag has been great and for the priced I paid $47.00 compared to the $97.00 MRSP is a bargin!

Cheap Koolertron Big Size DSLR SLR Camera Canvas shoulder bag for Sony
EDIT: After placing the review below I was contacted by the company that is selling this through Amazon and I was given a refund for my purchase. I have been using the bag now for a couple weeks and I am actually liking it. I still don't like that what is listed is not what you get but the bag is pretty nice. Since I do feel bad that I am still using this after getting a refund, I am going to order another product from the company as a show of support for their quick response.
This product is not as advertised. This is advertised as a Koolertron bag and this is just a chinese knockoff. While the bag itself isn't half bad, this should not be offered for sale on Amazon if the listing is inaccurate and the customer will be purchasing an inferior product. Sure, I contacted customer support and i was offered a shipping label to return the bag. I can do that, sure. But what should happen is this item be taken off of Amazon until the listing isn't just a bait and switch and at least half of your purchase price should be refunded.

The bag itself is not bad at all. The make and structure of the bag seem to be well put together. However I feel pretty misled given the description of the bag states it is a KOOLERTRON and it is not, it is a chinese dupe of the bag I thought I was ordering. I assumed given that the order was fullfilled by Amazon this wouldn't be something i had to worry about, which I why I order from here and not ebay. We are Amazon Prime customers and order litterally every month, I'm sad to say even though the bad itself is nice, the bait and switch was disapointing....Best Deals for Koolertron Big Size DSLR SLR Camera Canvas shoulder bag for Sony
Misleading advertising, bag is not a koolertron. It says backpacker on the label. Don't know why it is being sold as a koolerton. Not all that troubled by the mislabeling. It is a very large bag, not really well made I wouldn't trust zipper and trim for a long journey or photo safari, but looks like it will be OK to drag 2 small cameras and some lenses to work and back in my car. Appears to be missing 1 large divider insert.Honest reviews on Koolertron Big Size DSLR SLR Camera Canvas shoulder bag for Sony
This bag is advertised as a Koolertron but it is not, it is according the label a Backpacker. Amazon should bann this seller because of missleading advetisement. The bag itself is not bad but i expected somthing more for this price and not a cheap knockoff where they can not even copy the nameplate. thanks for tricking me.Find helpful customer reviews and review ratings for Koolertron Big Size DSLR SLR Camera Canvas shoulder bag for Sony
I was really disappointed with this bag. I had done my research and thought I was ordering a koolertron bag. The bag I was sent, although very similar, was cheaply made. The faux leather on the bag started to rip the first time I used it. The canvas is decently made. The bag itself is huge. I read the description, but did not expect a bag that big. This swallows my laptop, Dslr, three lenses a mini tripod and an external flash with so much room left for more. I will probably not order from this seller again just because I feel like I was being cheated. If you are not going to sell a koolertron bag, but rather a look-a-like you should not be selling it for the price of a koolertron.Tuesday, March 4, 2014
Discount Neoprene Sleeve Case (Black) for Canon PowerShot SD1300IS 12 MP
Customer Ratings:
List Price: $22.98
Sale Price: $5.54
Today's Bonus: 76% Off

This case is snug, but usable, on a Canon SX260. However, this is a perfect fit for most pocket cameras that are not bulkier than normal.
The case is cushioned enough to provide some protection against impacts. Zipper quality is very good; operation is smooth.
I have a second case that I use as a wallet when traveling. There is more than enough room in the larger compartment for credit cards and currency, and the smaller pocket is perfect for coins. The compact size allows you to easily place your items in your front pocket, providing you with more protection against theft than if your wallet were in a rear pants' packet.
Bottom line: A well constructed and versatile case with quality zippers.

Best Clik Elite Nature Camera Backpack Deals
Wow! Finally, after much searching, I've found the right pack. I've tried quite a few so far. Over time, my goal became to find a camera backpack WITH hydration. The Clik Elite Medium Nature is IT. This pack has many adjustments on it to find your comfort zone. Almost everything is in the right place, and works as it should. The zippers are very, very solid. The camera compartment holds my 70-200 2.8 Sigma, my 24-70 2.8 Sigma on my Nikon D300s camera, and my Sigma 10-20 wide angle lens. It's a tight fit, but a perfect one. The pocket for the hydration pack (NOT included--picked up a camelback reservoir at REI for a reasonable price) will fit up to a 70oz reservoir, nice and tight, with room to spare for other gear/camera accessories, food, more water, clothes, etc.
Cons? It could be easier to get the camera out. It's a pretty tight fit, and though I've moved things around multiple times, the way that works best is still difficult. Also, this bag is not really all that light. So once you get your camera gear in there, a monopod on the side (it is also missing a dedicated tripod strap/attachment), reservoir and whatever other stuff you need/want, look out. For backpacking, it's fine. For biking (which is why I bought it), it's a little heavy. But hey, what doesn't kill you makes you stronger, right? Heh... at least that's what I tell myself as I'm lugging my gear up the hill in this bag.
But those minor faults aside, this is a great bag that you can take just about anywhere.
My observations...
Camera area: Easily fits a bunch of gear. I carry a Canon 7D with a 28-135mm lens attached, a 75-300mm lens, an external flash with diffuser and I still have room for another lens or two. I own a Sony A100 also and have plenty of room to add that camera with a lens or two in addition to the Canon if I choose. Of course back packing / biking / skiing etc. ensures I keep my weight limit as low as possible but I could pack this additional camera with ease.
The rest of the bag:
-It comes with a water bladder (70 ounces). Yes, a little bigger would be better but this is the only pack I have found that carries any water at all along with my camera gear.
-Top section is not huge but it is sufficient. On a hike up a mountain I was able to pack a large sweatshirt, sandwiches x2, a bag of trail mix, gloves, hat and some other odds and ends. My light weight, cheapo, Wal-Mart tripod easily fit on the right outside of the pack (my good tripod would have been way to heavy). I also had a knife, military compass and 4 maps. There was also room in the front flap for an extra memory card and remote. I could have fit a little more in this bag had I chose to.
Comfort: I spent 20+ years in the Army. Many of those years were spent carrying rucksacks. This bag rivals the best the Army could provide. Of course this bag carries a lot less but, I found it to be extremely comfortable. The bag is heavy when compared to the lightweight packs on the market today but none of those will protect your camera gear nor will they organize it like this bag does. In addition, I doubt those lightweight bags have the build quality this bag possesses.
-The ladder system is excellent for comfort control. I am 6'1 and weigh 205. I tried several adjustment until I found the one that worked well for me.
-The shoulder straps are pretty good. A bit wider might be better but they are padded very well and do not tire my shoulders out.
Speaking of build quality: I can't say enough. This is a rough, tough bag that should last for many years to come.
***I took one star off Quality of Build because the chest strap stitching came undone. The strap was fine but the stitching broke. I noticed the poor stitching on this one spot when I first received the bag. Sure enough the strap disconnected. Rather than return the bag i will simply sew it myself. I inspected the rest of the bag and this seems to be the only spot where the quality was less than great. Though I am not happy about that, the rest of the bag appears rock solid.
-It comes with a rain cover that hides away underneath and is easy to pull out if heavy rain starts.
-I also bought the chest pack with it. The back and chest packs work awesome together.
Bottom line...
-This bag is $20ish more expensive than it's rivals but I found it well worth the cost. It is a great product.
If you want a bag that carries your photo gear, gives you room for other gear and let's you carry some water, buy this pack.
Perfect bag for the active outdoors person.
When I first got the bag more than a year ago, I was turned off by its weight and by the limited space in the lower camera compartment, but the Clik Elite really proved its worth in the field.
It doesn't have the mammoth equipment capacity of a large dedicated photo backpack, but those other backpacks are not going to have the same level of durability, comfort, or versatility. The balance of space in the lower and upper compartments is adjustable, because the separator between the two is velcro on three sides. I was able to make enough room in the bottom compartment to fit two larger lenses (70-200 f/2.8 and 300 f/4 with teleconverter) and my camera with mounted mid-range zoom (17-55 f/2.8). The upper compartment was still quite large and had room to carry additional photo gear (small flash, 1-2 smaller lenses in individual cases, filters, or even an extra camera), plus food and other gear like electronics, notebooks, and clothing.
There are plenty of zip compartments both inside and outside to secure specific items like sunglasses, a phone, wallet, filters, memory cards, remotes, and so forth. The big mesh outside pocket can easily take two water bottles. I don't use the inner hydration sleeve, but it's there if needed, and if not is easily tucked away with a velcro strap. There are a number of small touches like this that make you realize a lot of care was taken in the design of this bag.
The main straps are very comfortable and adjustable, and that plus the non-camera storage was what really pushed me towards using this pack over others. It was easy to get most of the weight onto the hip belt, with the right level of stability and support from the shoulder straps.
The rain cover is huge, which means you can have all kinds of stuff crammed into or hanging on the outside of the pack and still cover it all in the rain. I prefer to carry my tripod strapped to one side of the bag, which is easy to do, and the rain cover can handle it without issue.
The pack has no problem fitting into overhead bins on aircraft. I haven't tried stowing it under a seat, but I'm guessing it would be a tight fit.
The other new bag I tested was the LowePro Flipside 400, with its main advantage being the novel reverse access to the camera compartment: it's secure and lets you put the pack down and get the outside of the bag dirty instead of your clothes. This would be a great addition for Clik Elite, but probably a lot more difficult with an upper/lower compartment design.
The pack is very comfortable and rides just right thanks to the great adjustment system. I've "humped a ruck" quite a bit in the Army and those packs don't compare to this one. I've read some reviews that say the shoulder straps are a bit on the narrow side. While I would agree that it would have felt nicer if the straps were 1/4 to 3/8 inches wider, I was still happy with how the felt.
Workmanship and materials are excellent. I was never able to test the waterproof qualities or the rain cover as it never did rain when I used the pack. I had shopped on line for three weeks before purchasing this pack. There were some that carried more camera gear, but only camera gear. There were a lot of packs for much less money, but they didn't have the features of this pack. I finally figured that if I was going to tote $2000 worth of photo gear around I ought to have something that would protect it and carry well.
It is well worth the money.
This bag is a great size enough room for a couple of bodies and lenses with enough room for the other stuff you might need when travelling without feeling like you have a trunk on your back. It's very configurable and has just the right amount of padding enough for your gear to feel protected without feeling like you are carrying more cushion than camera.
The quality of the bag is VERY good and feels like it will stand up to real use for a long time. The details really bring this home sealed zippers, well thought-out organizers, rain cover, etc.. You can tell thought went into this bag. It's also nice that Clik has some additional items that can be paired with this bag to create your ultimate system.
The straps on this bag are adjustable to the size of the wearer via the "ladder" system. That flexibility is probably welcome if you are at the ends of the spectrum, but it seems like overkill and a lot of complexity and pieces for me especially considering I'm going to adjust it once and leave it there. I'd also like more instructions on adjusting it not the basic mechanics, that's pretty simple, but how it should fit/hang/etc.
I have not given this bag it's first real test on a trip, but in testing it out at home it is VERY comfortable and can make a remarkable amount of gear feel quite light.
The hydration pack is a great addition. It is curious tho that some of their smaller bags tout the value of the hydration pocket being totally separate from the camera compartment but in this one it goes inside. It is also odd that this holds a smaller bladder than some of the smaller packs, but it's b/c of the way the hydration pocket is laid out relative to everything else (it only goes part-way down the back.
Cons? It could be easier to get the camera out. It's a pretty tight fit, and though I've moved things around multiple times, the way that works best is still difficult. Best Deals for Clik Elite Nature Camera Backpack
I'm regularly evaluating the camara bag options on the market, searching for the perfect choice. For travel and hiking with a decent-sized set of gear, this is the best one I've found so far. I prefer a single bag that can be both a carry-on for travel and a main day trip hiking bag once at a destination. When I first got the bag more than a year ago, I was turned off by its weight and by the limited space in the lower camera compartment, but the Clik Elite really proved its worth in the field.

Honest reviews on Clik Elite Nature Camera Backpack
I just got back from a 30 day tour of the western states and this pack proved invaluable. First, it carried all my gear in a safe and organized manner. It toted two complete DSLRS, a 200mm telephoto, lens extension barrel, a 50mm lens, filter pack, extra data cards, lens cleaning equipment, and a tripod. This was a car camping trip and knowing where all my gear was made things much easier. Second, its non-camera storage space was great for carrying snacks, compass, knife, and other emergency gear, plus the pocket for my Platypus 70oz water bladder. This came in real handy hiking around the Grand Canyon and the Petrified Forest where temps were in the mid to high 90z. Quite frankly this pack can be loaded quite heavy. I carried all my gear as I never wanted to be far away from my car and need a lens or spare body. The pack carried it all and with water probably weighed thirty pounds! The pack is very comfortable and rides just right thanks to the great adjustment system. I've "humped a ruck" quite a bit in the Army and those packs don't compare to this one. I've read some reviews that say the shoulder straps are a bit on the narrow side.
