Customer Ratings: 3 stars

An Lx7 does actually fit inside it, but it's snug to get in and out. An extra 1/4" in every dimension would probably make it substantially faster to load/unload. While I haven't yet used it in the field, I suspect it will take 5 to 10 seconds of solid concentrated effort to get the camera out and ready to shoot with. However, the quality looks good, it will keep the LCD from getting scratched, and it does actually hold an Lx7, so I can't give it less than 4 stars in good conscience.

Perfect for the LX7 easy in, easy out. Attaches to belt with velcro clip, but also has shoulder strap. Extra room forbattery.

It's just too small. I tried fitting the camera in there, and I could close the zipper, but it seemed to put some real pressure on the lens, which I certainly don't want to do. Too bad, it looks good otherwise.

It's a little difficult to fit camera in the case when the strap is on but still a good case.

If you put the strap on the Lumix LX7 camera then the fit in the back pocket is tight. There is no space in the front to carry the charger.

I ended up using the camera bag of my old camera for the Lumix LX7.

This case is well made. The magnetic latch stays in place when intended, but is easy to open when retrieving the camera with one hand. Similarly, the clip easily attaches to the belt and can be removed without a struggle. The clip is not prone to sliding around on the belt or coming off the belt accidentally.

It is a perfect fit for the Pentax T10.

It is a nice camera case and the delivery was very quick and efficient but it ended up not fitting my camera. I have a Pentax Optio S45 and the case was way too small which is a bummer. So just know that it doesn't fit all S series cameras.

This is a great camera case for Pentax compact digital cameras-The belt clip is sturdy and stays secure on your belt without moving around. The magnetic closure snap is convenient. The case itself is a little snug but better that way than too loose. It is a great value for the money.

I can't say enough about this camera carrying case! It is inexpensive, durable, light as a feather, and has been to Alaska with me. It has traveled more places than many people! It is everything it is advertised and more! Absolutely love it!

This case is a nice fit for my Panasonic DMC-FH25 kind of snug, with a little bit of room. Just what I was looking for. The red is slightly brighter than pictured (at least as the colors came up on my monitors) but I'm happy with it.

For the specific vendor, the product came within the window of time specified in shipping, but took a while to leave the shop (it was ordered on Dec 25). No problem, just something I noticed because most other Amazon vendors have lightning-quick turnaround (another product from another vendor that I ordered the same day/time arrived on Dec 28, this one shipped on Jan 1).

Best Deals for rooCASE (Flamming Red) SLV2 Neoprene Sleeve Carrying Case

I bought this for my Panasonic Lumix DMC-FH25 and it fits just right.

* The pocket on the outside is small so don't expect to be able to store many accessories in there. I can keep an extra memory card in there or an extra battery, but nothing else. This should be the slim case that you use when you're on the go--in a small purse, bag, etc. You will need another case or system to store your battery charger, computer cord, etc.

* I like the wrist strap but I do wish it had an adjustable clasp on it so I was able to tighten it to my wrist or whatever I am attaching it to.

* Will show dirt but seems to clean easily. I havn't had a major stain on it yet, just small spots.

* Zipper is sturdy, which is great. It's terribly annoying to buy a case for something oyu wish to protect and have the zipper fail.

* If you attach the wrist strap to your camera you will need to place it in the case with the strap hanging out where the case zipper closes because it's a pain to try to tuck the strap in to the case each time. But that's not difficult.

Overall, a nice case that certainly serves a purpose for me!

A cute little case that fits my Lumix just right. I wish it was like my other, though; in that the zipper didn't wrap around to the bottom.

I bought this to fit the above mentioned camera since the reviews said the camera did not come with a case or charger. This was advertised as a perfect fit. It is not, it is too small however it is well made. I decided to keep it and gave it away to someone who had a smaller camera.

I have been very pleased with this case. I use it for the Casio Exilim S10. It is very light weight and durable. It doesn't make the camera bulky, so I can easily put it in my purse. I like that it also has a hook on it, so I can attach it to a bag or belt loop.

Honest reviews on Pink Digital Camera Case Bag for Casio EXILIM EX Z35 Z2000 Z29 1080

I purchased this item for my Casio Exilim Z2000. It arrived earlier than the expected arrival date, and is as described. The camera fits into the case like a 'second skin.' One side of the case is padded for protection of the camera screen, I assume, as the camera lens has its own cover and retracts into the body of the camera. The case has the clip for attaching to a belt loop or strap, as well as a looped carry strap for hanging onto. To date the case is a good purchase, although it hasn't been tested 'in the field' on any hikes or extended use. It probably wouldn't protect the camera well from a hard fall, although that has never happened to date. For the price, it seems a good buy.

To make this easier, I'll just list my review for each individual item.

The case is spectacular. It's sturdy and has so many pockets! It has straps to carry your tripod as well, which I didn't know before receiving my shipment. You can move around the velcro dividers in the main compartment to fit your camera as well. I bought this bundle mostly for the bag, and I'm extremely pleased.

The filters came in a hard case with dividers, with each filter in its own individual plastic packaging. The filters are of good quality, but the case is total rubbish. The sides are all glued together, and when you touch the edges of the one I received, your fingers will stick. It's basically falling apart. The fabric used on the inside is very scratchy, and the filters didn't fit very comfortably in it either. I had to cram them back in when I took them out. So basically, filters are good, but invest in a different casing.

The lens hood is sturdy.

The memory wallet is really neat. It has 3 mesh pockets, and comes with 3 labels for your memory cards.

I have not tested the remote, the battery, the cleaning kit, or the LCD screen protectors.

Overall, I'm very pleased with my purchase. The price was great for what I got, and I was expecting many more errors than there were. I wouldn't recommend this for professionals, but I definitely would for newbies and non-professional photographers.

Think Tank Retrospective 5 Shoulder Bag - Pinestone Reviews

Think Tank Retrospective 5 Shoulder Bag - Pinestone
Customer Ratings: 4.5 stars
Buy Now
I confess to being obsessed by camera bags. I typically buy about 2 cameras a year -typically the "latest and greatest -and se;; the displaced cameras on eBay. Since size, weight and suitability for "street shooting" candids are of the most concern, right now my "kit" consists of a Fuji X100 and Canon S95. About 75% of my shots are taken on cruises where the ship typically visits several countries and at least 10 ports, with the remainder being taken mostly on race committee boats from which I photograph sailboat races.

Unfortunately I usually don't sell off the bags that I buy for each combination of cameras and this has left me with about a dozen bags ranging from a rolling case for my late DSLRs with their multiple lenses, to waist packs that can only handle one small camera plus a spare battery and card. Until my Retrospective 5 purchase, my last favorite was a Tamrac bag able to handle these two cameras along with a decent number of accessories plus an Apple iPad 2. However, this is a bit too bulky for outings when I can leave the iPad at home or in the cabin of a cruise ship, so this hasn't proven to be as easily handled as I wanted it to be. Besides I've found that the iPad2 is less than ideal for photo storage , organization and editing; and therefore it is being replaced on my next few cruises by my good old Dell laptop that doesn't fit in the Tamrac.

Enter the Think Tank Rerospective 5: This is -hands down -the best made and most thoughtfully designed bag for a person carrying 1 or 2 small cameras and some extra gear. I keep the cameras and the most essential accessories (e.g., spare batteries, memory cards and the 2 battery chargers and the Fuji manual)in the main compartment, and then put the less-essential accessories in a zippered mesh bag that I place in the front compartment. That way my whole kit is together when I travel so that all I have to do is put the Retro 5 into a corner of my carry-on bag when I'm flying, and remove the mesh bag and the chargers from the bag when I go out shooting. Without the mesh bag and chargers, the entire kit weighs slightly less than 5 pounds, and when I fly the weight including the accessories still comes in under 6 pounsd.

The Retro 5 is superbly built and organized. Everything can have its own place as there are probably close to 20 compartments and padded separators. The only (minor) problem is that to get to some of the smallest compartments, you may have to go by feel into some of the smaller and more obscure compartments, or temporarily remove a larger item from an adjacent compartment. However this is preferable (to me at least) to having a jumble of small items sharing a few compartments and having to dump many things out to find and get to the smallest ones. This is the direct opposite of the philosophy behind the similiarly-sized and priced Domke bag which is probably the closest competitor to this bag in terms of cost, quality and appearance, but which has a bare minimum of compartments to add to its flexabilty.

The best feature of the bag is the Velco fasteners that secure not only the flap enclosing the entire bag, but smaller tabs that close off some of the larger compartments as well. The fasteners assure that the bag is securely closed, but at the same time they can be opened in a fraction of a second even by someone wearing gloves or with some loss of strength in their fingers; which is again very different from the Domke bag which has fasteners that are very difficult to manipulate by most people who are wearing gloves or on Social Security.

Finally I really like the weather-proof bag which will protect your gear in a downpour. And ... in typical Thinktank style ... you have at least 3-4 compartments to choose from in deciding where to store the waterproof bag.

Is ANY small bag worth $135? That as much money as I have typically spent on 2-3 of my other small bags. My answer is YES; this is a bag that I anticipate using with an entire generation of new cameras that I can choose from this year including the Sony Nex7, the Fuji X10, the Olympus and Panasonic 4/3 cameras, the tiny Pentax, and the fabled mirrorless Nikon pro camera. In short, DSLRs are losing ground to lighter and smaller gear, and it's only a matter of time until bags that weigh more than about 8 pounds fully loaded will be considered as cruel & unusual punishment for anyone that is not getting paid big bucks to shlep everything around!

I had been wanting to get this bag for a while, and finally took the plunge. It is a very well built bag, perfectly constructed, not a loose thread anywhere, clearly new but not shiny-new. But after checking it out for a few days, I felt it was not for me, and returned it. Here is a quick run-down of the pros and cons and the reasons for my ultimate decision. As usual, YMMV.

Pros:

1. Fantastic construction. Top notch materials all through.

2. Tons of pockets, small and large, including small pockets within larger pockets

3. Easy to open flap to get at contents

4. Very nice interior for making adjustments the entire inside is velcro-compatible

5. Great shoulder pad and excellent shoulder strap material

Cons:

1. A surfeit of pockets compared to the size of the bag. Even if one does not use all pockets (Which was perhaps the designer's intent), it is easy to misplace things.

2. Some pockets are, for me, of extremely limited use, like the ones on the outside left and right side. You can put in something flat such as a small notepad, but nothing else despite the product description which suggests one can put in a small water bottle.

3. The length of the shoulder strap is fine as long as you want to carry it that way. If you want to carry the bag cross-shoulder, the strap runs short, and you cannot unclip the factory strap to put in a longer one.

4. There is no zipper to close up the bag, just the velcro flap. If by chance I have the velcro silencers on, there is nothing to keep the flap held in place, and then if the bag flops open accidents do happen the contents of the bag will spill. Not good, and for me, the dealbreaker. I've seen it happen often enough with womens' handbags to risk it with my camera gear.

I truly wanted to like the bag and there is a lot to like. Great material, great feel, beautiful workmanship. But the bottom line for me was safety of contents if I forgot to un-silence the velcro, and more issues as enumerated above. For my own specific needs, it does not work. Then there was the issue of stuff missing it was supposed to come with a set of spare partitions that were not there.

All in all, in my opinion, a lovely bag, somewhat over-designed in some use-cases and under-designed in others (mainly secure closure missing for main compartment), that does not work for me. (I even asked myself what would make me keep it? If there was a good closure like a zipper, and the factory sent me the missing parts, I could probably live with the other shortcomings).

Best Deals for Think Tank Retrospective 5 Shoulder Bag - Pinestone

This is my second Think Tank bag and I was expecting lots of features and great quality and somehow this bag exceeded my expectations.

The material is durable cloth that looks new and used at the same time. The padding is enough to protect against bumps but not overboard to make the bag bulkier than it needs to be.

The features I really like, beyond the ample capacity for a "smallish" bag, are the numerous pockets, a very comfortable, well padded, and generously long shoulder strap, and the ability to "tune" the velcro strap closure. You can adjuct it from a very firm grip (which of course makes noise when you open it) to not holding at all (and the flap still stays closed thanks to it's weight and the flexibility of the material.

So, what does it hold for me on a typical day, you ask?

Nikon D90 12.3MP Digital SLR Camera (Body Only) with a Nikon 18-200mm f/3.5-5.6G AF-S ED VR II Nikkor Telephoto Zoom Lens for Nikon DX-Format Digital SLR Cameras attached.

Nikon 7072 Lens Pen Cleaning System (for the brush), Nikon 8072 Microfiber Cleaning Cloth, and Purosol All Natural Lens Cleaner 1oz.

TASCAM PR-10 Portable Digital Audio Recorder (Black) for example, background audio can be a nice addition to slide shows.

Manfrotto 035RL Super Clamp with 2908 Standard Stud Replaces 2900 (Black) The world is your tripod.

PicPac II 11-in-1 High Speed Memory Card Reader and 250 GB Storage Device 7625

Spare batteries for the camera, flash, and recorder, a few extra memory cards. A small flashlight.

Business cards, notepad, and pens

Even with all that, it doesn't feel heavy or look stuffed.

Honest reviews on Think Tank Retrospective 5 Shoulder Bag - Pinestone

I hate carrying around a big bag with a lot of gear, so I wanted the smallest that would take my D7000 and 2-3 lenses. The Retrospective 5 is exceptionally well made and well-thought out, but there are 2 issues that made me return it:

1) The interior is cluttered up with far too may pockets and zips, etc. And they take up valuable room and may scratch the camera or lens.

2) It's not waterproof or water-resistant. They provide a somewhat clumsy cover that takes up space in a pocket. Why can't they make it from some waterproof material like the Billingham bags? And this problem is compounded by the main compartment not being secured with a zip; you close the big flap and find the ends of the main compartment are open to the elements.

So I ended up with a Billingham Hadley Pro. Much more expensive, but it fulfills my needs better.

In fact I like them so much I bought two an R5 and R30. My "old" favorite was a Think Tank UD 40 used as my primary camera bag for a couple years, but I found continuously getting equipment in and out through the top zipper to be more difficult and tedious than I cared for. TT has now solved this problem with the Retrospective line. And like all TT products, these bags just exude quality!

This R5 is perfect for a "day bag" holding my 5DII with 24-105 and a 16-35, plus a couple filters, battery, etc, while the R30 is perfect for my "main bag" to hold all of my gear. Also, if I hand carry the camera, the R5 makes a perfect "lens changer" bag for a couple lenses including a 70-200 f/2.8 or a 100-400. The R5 can also double as the "main bag" for my complete Canon G12 "system" camera, batteries, charger, filters, adapters, teleconverters, etc. And someday should I ever get a micro four-thirds camera, this would be perfect for that as well.

All in a bag that is a perfect size, not too big, and looks great! Up until now I had always preferred the black balistic nylon material, but I can now say I really like the Pinestone cloth and color MUCH better. What else could one ask for!

The case is small, but protects the camera well. I liked the idea of a "hard" type of case for the small Canon camera we bought. It easily fits into my wife's purse and does its intended purpose, but has absolutely no space for anything else (like spare batteries, or even a spare memory card). A good product overall, but I would probably buy the Samsonite one I had before as it had plenty of places for other miscellaneous camera items.

this bag is just what i was looking for. i already own a Think Tank professional camera bag that holds several lenses, camera bodies, and my laptop. when i ordered this bag i was looking for something that would work for walking around a city. fits body and lenses up to 4 1/2 inches. side pockets will NOT fit a wallet but you can hide an id and a couple credit cards behind the memory card in the front pouch. side pockets would be good for cell phone, ipod, etc. all in all, i love this bag. i'd recommend it to anyone who is looking for something simple to take on photowalks.

I run with a Canon XTI and a mid range telephoto lens. This bag has every attribute going for it.

1Extremely well made. All seams and zippers very well made and sewn. It's not at all likely this bag will open or fail, dropping your equipment to the ground.

2Stylish.

3Carry handle is the right size for a mid size hand. Sometimes you want to take the bag off your shoulder and just carry it. Very comfortable and again, well sewn.

4Carry strap is nice and wide and comfortable. Again, well sewn.

5Belt loop I don't forsee myself carrying the bag in this fashion, so not much I can tell you here.

6Outside compartments are roomy for the items you'd want to carry such as spare memory, batteries, and maybe your cell.

Overall, the entire Amazon process was amazing, and I was able to save about $20 off the retail prices.

I will be looking into other products they make for my larger bag requirements.

Ohby the way, you can choose to zip the inner compartment, making the bag more secure and I would think rain resistant. That's how I start my day with the inner zip zipped. Once I take the camera out, I don't rezip, just close it with a well designed, and easy to use clasp.

Honest reviews on Tamrac 5515 Adventure Zoom 5 (Red/Black)

Ordered a two pack of these from the manufacturer. Have to say I'm very disappointed with them and they haven't gotten any use.

First: It looks kinda silly hanging off my bag or belt. The narrow neck kinda makes it hang funny.

Most importantly, the method of attachment is onerous: you are not going to be moving this between different packs or belts. You have to thread the entire body (which is really thick) through the neck every time. It's a pain to do, and feels like it will reduce the stiffness of the neoprene.

The neck is so short, that by the time you thread it through, you have no slack. The body of the bomb can't hang freely, but feels like it's strangled. Won't be able to fit around larger belts or thicker straps.

Honest reviews on Undfind DFB105 Fish Bomb Lens Filter Case (Houndstooth)

Let's just say that I haven't lost a lens cap ever since I bought 4 of these. Before that, I have probably lost around 2 a year. I have at least two on my backpack at all times, right on the ring of the shoulder strap so I always know where my lens caps are. Besides that they can hold my CF cards. I don't use them for filters (because I don't use filters, but I could see that being a great use too). The main thing for me like I mentioned is the caps. These things have already paid for themselves!

I own two of these Fishbombs. I attach one to my waist pack and the other around my belt. In one, I usually carry two 77mm filters on hikes and city walks. In the other I carry my lens caps so I always know where they are. They're super light and they give me quick access. It's pretty much a detachable pocket. Would not recommend for filters larger than 77mm, however. They are simply too snug and you have to get fingerprints on your filters in order to get it out. Anything under 77mm is great though.

LOWEPRO Nova Mini SLR Camera and Accessory Case
Customer Ratings: 4 stars

The Lowepro nova mini is a great bag for beginnersIt has plenty of space for an SLR, its wall charger, associated cords and extra memory cards. In addition, the bag has a fold-away rain cover if you get caught in a storm, though the bag itself is fairly waterproof. I've never had a problem with my gear getting wet in the rain, which makes it a great bag for day hiking.

In terms of comfort, the shoulder strap could use a little more padding, but overall I've found it surprisingly comfortable to carry while hiking for hours at a time. If you end up scrambling over rocks or involved in a hike that doesn't keep you perfectly vertical, the shoulder strap will not be sufficient to keep the bag from falling into your way.

One downsideThis bag does not have enough space to carry a second lens. If you want more options than the lens you've got on your camera, go with a larger bag. Otherwise, this one is comfortable to carry around, small enough that it doesn't tend to get in the way, and exactly the right size for anything you might want to pack along short of extra lenses.

Is it worth the money? Yes. unless you're looking to carry additional lenses.

This case is almost perfect for my camera. I have a Nikon Coolpix s220 and it fits in the big pocket very well. I can fit an extra memory card, in it's plastic case, and a screen wipe in the outer pocket with plenty of room to spare. Solid construction and good materials on this case. The only thing I would wish for is for it to be a little thinner, so I guess make the second pocket a little smaller. But there are other cases for that I guess. I am a guy, so I have rather large pockets, and it fits in the back ones comfortably most of the time.

I purchased this case to house a JUST MOBILE GUM PRO POWER PACK HIGH CAPACITY 4400 MAH USB. The case is very rugged, all of the stitching is perfect, no issues with the fabric or its construction. It's true it doesn't have o-rings for the clips but I added my own metal ones for $0.10 and they work beautifully (and are better quality than plastic rings).

The large pocket is lined with a soft fleece like material, perfect to keep items scratch free, the front pocket has a mesh retainer for small items.

I initially thought it was expensive for the size but am very impressed with it. It fits the GUM Pro Power Pack, its power cable, an iPhone cable, earbuds, and there is still room for my Jawbone and its cables.

I would definitely purchase other LowePro cases based on this one and its construction.

This camera case is the perfect size for my compact digital camera. I was a bit concerned about the length of the shoulder strap after reading a review saying it was too short. It's perfect for me though, and I carry it slung across the opposite shoulder so it won't slide. The case is well padded. I'm very happy with this product!

The order page says I got this back in March, 2010, so it's going on 2 years of constant usage. I'm getting another one, as the material around the zipper is fraying and getting stuck in the zipper. Otherwise, the case is in very good shape. I use it as an assorted plastic card holder, so it's on my person every day, and generally gets daily zipping and unzipping.

I got this case recently and was a little disappointed for two reasons. One, there are no plastic rings to attach the shoulder straps to for free movement of the strap clip. Instead, a short loop of strap material is where the strap clips attach to. This doesn't allow complete freedom of movement of the strap clip and it binds somewhat. Also, the case was a little defective looking in that the fabric wasn't accurately proportioned-not that big a deal because it's still functional. Funny thing, the cheaper case that Lowe Pro has does have the plastic rings but I didn't want it because it didn't have a nice sized zipper pocket for an extra battery etc. Instead it had velcro. I had a Lowe Pro case before I was very happy with it. It was very durable and I think this one will be too.
