I got this case to use with my new Olympus D545. It fits the camera beautifully with a slot inside for an extra card. It is leather and very well constructed. It protects the camera well and that is the most important thing.

The only drawback one might consider is, it won't hold extra batteries or the cord to down load the pics to your computer. A larger bag will have to be used for that. My plan is to find one that doesn't look like a camera bag to store my camera in this particular case along with the other accessories I mentioned for travel/vacations.

All and all, I love this and am very happy with the protection it affords my camera. The price is right for the job it does.

The camera fits snugly in the case & there is a compartment to hold extra batteries as well as picture cards. The camera is well protected and the belt holder is an added touch. I love the opening on the top for the camera handle. It is wonderful quality for the price.

This camera case works well with my olympus D630. The width is perfect but there is unnecessary extra space lengthwise. I bought this camera because it is very small but the case sort of negates the whole space advantage. It is a very durable and secure case. I feel comfortable using the case to protect the camera in all situations.

The camera case was great for the price. Fits the Olympus D580 just fine. Clipped it to my belt and off I went.

This little leather case fits like a glove with the camera, a good thing, but there is a bit of leather fabric that gets pulled down toward the inside and it seems that over time the leather may rip with the movement of getting the camera in the case. also, very pleased that the FE110 fits in with the spare batteries inside the case, although it is designed for the spare batteries to hang comfortably on the side.

Unfortunately I have to give it a 3 star. The size was what I was looking for and for the price I was happy with how it looked. The downside was the front buckle slipped out of the strap and did not stay attached. There is no zipper or any kind of a top cover other than where the buckle closes in the front. So if that doesn't keep snapped while you are walking and holding the top, all my gear could have potentially fallen out on the concrete. I would definitely recommend whoever gets this, to take a close look at their buckle and do a self sew job as a reinforcement.

I Love this camera bag. It is just right for my D5200, telephoto lens, 55mm lens, batteries, charger, and accessories.

Best Deals for AmazonBasics Medium DSLR Gadget Bag (Orange interior)

I got this bag for my recently purchased DSLR, and it works perfectly. It's small enough to not get in the way, but it's large enough to fit the camera, the lens (maybe even two, but I only have one), and all the little accessories that come with it (cords, chargers, memory cards, manual, etc.). There are two dividers on the inside that are attached to the bag with velcro, so you can adjust them to make sure your camera and lens are snugly protected. For an amateur photographer or someone just using the camera for basic purposes, or at least for me, it provides more than enough space and protection.

Well worth adding it on for free if you can. I cannot say it feels like a top-end case, but for most carry chores, it works fine.

I am sending my old T2i and two lenses (with other equipment) as a gift for my 12 year old granddaughter. At first, when I saw the size of the package, I was really sure it wouldn't be large enough, but it's perfect.

I'm waiting for delivery of an 18-55mm kit lens to add, but once that's in (and there's still plenty of room for it), this bag now contains:

Canon T2i camera (gripped)

55-250mm zoom lens

7 or 8 SD Memory Cards

7 batteries

Shutter cable release

portable battery charger

And in the compartment for the tablet (Kindle Fire in this case), David Bush's Field Guide to the Canon T2i.

This is going to be the perfect place for her to store all of her equipment and keep it safe and sound, and dust free. It's also a perfect (and inexpensive) day bag.

The bag and extra lens are going to be a surprise, so shhhhhh... please don't tell her. We'll just blame it all on Santa.

It is small. It is a little snug when the extra battery is in the side pocket. On the bright side, it protects my camera in my purse, but I did buy another unit that was bigger to accommodate two batteries and my cables for computer/camera transferring of pictures.

I had this for around three years. It still protects my camera nicely. I have a Sony Cybershot W300 and it fits well. Padding is nice and I never feel like my camera is in danger, unless I throw it across the room or intentionally try to break it. I'm not saying it will survive any falls, but it has a decent amount of padding to leave my mind at ease.

This is a GREAT backpack. The slots are Velcro, so your able to make them bigger or smaller, or remove them all together to make more room for your other gear. The tripod holder does its job quiet well. I was climbing a steep hill and was almost upside down at one point and still didn't lose my tripod! Really nice for traveling, it gets rainy in the London area, so the cover came in handy while walking from one place to the next. LOTS OF ROOM! I was able to put my camera, 3 lenses, cleaning kit, extra battery with charger, 3 days worth of clothes, tripod, and 12 inch laptop with room to spare when I did any weekend travel while I stationed in England. It's very comfortable whether walking in a city, or hiking up a mountain, this guy does its job.

I've used a standard Canon bag for my camera rig for a few years. But it never felt strong enough or sufficiently protective for my gear. Plus, the Canon logo felt like having a "STEAL ME" sign when I carried it in public.

Recently, when putting together a new rig, I decided to look for something more heavy duty and a little more anonymous. (I know that other photography enthusiasts can always spot photo gear, but anonymous to the lay person...) I read a ton of reviews on a bunch of different items, and ended up going with the Aktiv Pak AP400.

This bag isn't particularly pretty, made of a coarse, matte black material and very little in the way of decoration. There are straps, clips, zippers and pockets all over it. It's meant to take abuse and keep on functioning. And it is BIG. This isn't a 'carry your camera around town and snap some quick pics' kinda bag. This is a 'lugging all my gear to a location for an all day shoot' or 'taking my laptop and camera rig on the airplane' type of bag. It's got space, very functional extra pockets, and a pretty flexible velcro padding system in the main compartment that is easy to rearrange to your needs. The inside zipped pockets are thoughtfully designed with meshed plastic covers for easy visibility and leather covers for the zipper pulls to protect your gear. The laptop storage in the back _just_ fits a 17" and keeps it snug against your body. The padding on the back is sufficient and the chest straps are strong and comfortable. The chest and waist straps do a nice job at distributing weight and making it easy to carry a lot of gear which I do (detailed below).

To give you a real-world example of how I use this bag, here's the rig I've been carrying around this weekend:

. Canon 60D with vertical grip (lens always off in the bag)

. Polaroid PL-144AZ flash

. 17" MacBook Pro with neoprene sleeve

. Canon 50mm f1.4 lens (small and very light)

. Canon 100mm f2.8 macro (long and a little weighty)

. Canon 100-400mm f 4.5-5.6l is telephoto (huge and heavy)

. Manfrotto tripod, fairly heavy (strapped into the dedicated tripod holder on the right side)

. Manfrotto monopod, very light (kludged into the left side pocket and held tight by the main compartment strap)

. various other smaller equipment lens pen, mouse, cords and cables, etc

This is a pretty significant amount of weight and bulk, and the Aktiv Pak carries it very well. It does, however, make me look a bit like a Ghostbuster wearing a proton pack but I don't consider that a bad thing. :) Getting through narrow doors can be a challenge as well. If I'm going an area where that bulk on my back is inappropriate, I switch to using the top handle. It's sturdy and comfortable, but I don't trust it to hold all that weight reliably for long. (plus it's pretty hard on the shoulder)

Without the tripod/monopod attached, this just looks like a standard backpack, just with a a lot of straps and things.

Bonus built into the bottom of the pack is a rain guard you can pull out and completely cover the bag with. It seems a little difficult to situate well over the bag and keep in place. But it's very easy to put back in its compartment, and it contributes a little extra padding to the bottom of the pack.

Overall, I really like this bag. It's incredibly functional and understated, which is exactly what I was looking for. I've only had it a for a few weeks, so I can't speak for its longevity yet, but I expect this bag will hold up for a long time.

I really liked the Camera-Lap Top back Pack that I recieved from this company. It had enough compartments for me to store my equipment as a carry on, meeting airline requirements. It was shipped and recieved in a timely fashion. My only problem was that on my first usage some of the threads on the shoulder strap started to weaken. It may have been my fault as I tend to throw my back packs over one shoulder thus only using one strap. I contacted the company and they were willing to exchange the product for another one. Again it was my fault for not reading the return policy for this company. They wanted me to return the item in the original package, with tabs, and invoice. Since I had no clue where those items were (I was on the road for two weeks) it was agreed I could re-pack the item and use my Amazon.com e-mail as the reciept. I checked out how much it would cost to have the item shipped back to the company. It cost more to send it back then it was to have it repaired at a local shoe shop/luggage repair store. I chose to have the item repaired. The Luggage repair shop placed double stitching on the shoulder straps. I am now happy with this product.

reasons to buy this bag..1)ITS CHEAP! 2) its well made. zippers and material are rugged and durable. 3) if you're like me who don't like switching lenses and carry 2 camera bodies with lenses attached. 4) u can carry additional lenses and flashes. 5) u can attach a tripod on its side. 6) it has a rain cover to protect your camera from the elements. 7)you can carry a 17" lap top also or u can put your bracket for your external flash. 8)you can carry tons of accessories. possible cons...i was looking at the way they stiched the shoulder strap. i might reinforce it because of all the weight i'm carrying. my bag feels like 25 lbs already and i still have 2 more lenses and another flash i want to add to my outfit. it is solid but like i said with all the weight i'm carrying, i feel like i'm pushing the bag over its limit. i will keep up to date on this area. ps. i read complaints about the inside dividers coming loose.. i found the solution. take all the dividers out and re-positon them so that it forms a u [______] like this. by setting them up this way. the velcro will not undo cause it craddles the lenses. the other way, the weight of the 300mm lens if u jump up and down will cause the velco to undo and that's only if u have an empty compartment underneath it. also make sure that the velco is firmly attached by pressing on several times so it will not undo easily. i suggest putting bubble wrap on the empty compartments or place some of your accessories on the empty ones so that the inside stays firm even if u flip your bag upside down or when u decide that u have to run with the pack on. i highly recommend this bag. get it now before the price goes up. you will not regret it.

I waited until I actually had taken it on a trip to write a review, and it came through with flying colors. The only thing I found wrong was the velcro from one of the dividers pulled loose, but since there are so many of them, it won't be a problem.

All the straps & seams are sturdy, good lower strap for weight reduction, fit easily in the overhead of the plane. Lots of little extras like cinch straps, covered zippers, good zipper pull tab extensions (will be great for cold weather) even a rain-cover in a bottom pouch. The back padded laptop slot will hold a good sized laptop, and there is another front pocket big enough for my 11x14 sketch book plus pencils, because we often do that too.

Well worth the price

I love this case! It's feather-light, rugged, weather resistant, and the perfect size for my new Sony. I bought another, fancier case, but my camera's always in this one. The velcro can be a bit loud, but apart from that it's just perfect.

Well, it would fit a Nikon P7000 except for the elastic band at the top of the pouch makes it too small and too difficult for the camera to fit.

Why case manufacturers cannot do a better job in making their pouches fit specific cameras is hard for me to understand. I realize that they can't make a pouch for every camera that comes on the market, but the Nikon P7000 and similar size Canon G12 are what I would call mainstream cameras.

Pros: Stylish, durable, and lightly padded on the inside. You can zip up the main compartment to provide protection for your camera without having to always fool with the buckles.

Cons: The buckles can be a pain to fasten and unfasten. It barely fits my Nikon D5000 with an 18-55mm attached, but it still can be carried in it, along with the charger and a few cables.

I bought some time ago and it has been through a lot, but is reliable and tough. It keeps the camera safe with an internal velcro strap that wraps around the camera to keep it from being jostled. It also has a mesh pouch for extra battery and/or SD Card. The double zipper still works like a charm as well.

This bag is down right amazing! Love the color! The exterior is very firm, while the inner camera pouch is super soft and plush protecting your valuable asset! I looked for a case for my Nikon L 810, but none of them seemed to fit right; most of the larger cases were very bulky. This case is a little large, but so is my camera. I like to hike, so it is a little big for extended hiking trips, but it works great otherwise. It has a nice longer carrying strap so you can wear it like a purse. There is easy access to the camera if you need to get to it quickly. Overall, I am happy with this purchase; it is a very good value (I bought the SKY BLUE case and the color is really great!).

Loved the way my camera fit into this bag. It is light weight and cute. If you want to carry a lot of accessories I would not recommend it. You can't be wearing the bag with the proper adjustment of the strap, otherwise it is very difficult to "sling" the bag to your front.

I had to loosen the strap until it's almost at my butt to be able to "sling" comfortably.

The clip design is so-so. Wish they had designed the openings of the bags better. It's also awkward to access anything other than from the top.

In the end, I returned it and went back to my old shoulder bag.

I bought this bag in a lightning deal and for the price it was a good investment. I've been using it for about a month and it is very convenient to take with me to job sites or where ever. The camera compartment is plenty large for my DSLR and I have no problems with the bag sitting too low or anything.

That being said I do have a couple issues with the bag that I didn't notice from the pictures. First is that the bag sits over my right shoulder which feels awkward since every other sling style bag I've used has sat on my left side. The other thing that I do not like is there isn't a quick release on the strap so puttin the bag on or taking it off is a little more difficult than it should be.

Overall I would recomend this bag but had I known those two issues that I stated above, I probably would have gone with a different bag.

This is a great camera backpack, and for the price, can't really be beat. However, there are a couple of things that I dislike about the bag.

1) The padded dividers are quite thick and take up a chunk of space within the backpack.

2) The hammock system for the camera is neat but it also results in a lot of wasted space at the top of the backpack on either side of where the DSLR body sits.

3) The zipper for the main flap goes down all the way to the bottom but due to the rubberized "bucket" at the bottom, has to stop above the bucket section at the base of the backpack. This is inconvenient because the lower most compartments of the backpack are hard to get at since the flap cannot be pulled apart any more. That space is pretty much dead space because anything that is stored in there will not be easily accessible unless you lay the bag completely flat and then struggle a bit with pulling your lens out of the bottom most compartment.

4) The pouches/flaps in this bag are not very useful due to their lack of having any real capacity as they sit flush against the body of the backpack. This is my single biggest gripe for the bag because the other points made above are more easy to overlook. I especially find it hard to store my GND filters and polarizer along with adapter rings and cokin filter holder in the front/side pouch which is where I should be able to store them for easy access.

Don't let my list of negatives fool you. It is still a great backpack. I just decided to list these points because I didn't really see them in any reviews I read when researching the backpack. If I had, I might have considered a different backpack that had more pouch space for accessories.

Edit I just wanted to clarify that while my review might perhaps sound more negative than the 4 star rating that I gave this bag, I just chose to list the few complaints I had, that I did not find in any other review at the time of purchase. There are plenty of great things about this bag, and I encourage you to read the abundant positive reviews here on Amazon to learn about them. I've owned this bag for almost a year now and I still like it. My camera has always felt safe in it. Since I don't carry more than 3 lenses at any given time, I have plenty of room in the bag for some of my other accessories.

Click Here For Most Helpful Customer Reviews >>

Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program This is a very well thought out bag that really stands out from others in its class. For someone like me, who travels with their gear and does a good bit of hiking and camping, a rugged bag is essential.

The organizational possibilities are endless with this pack. The interior is composed of numerous foam components (coated in soft felt) equipped with Velcro. It is super easy to rearrange the padding inside to give any lens a snug fit. I threw in my 200mm zoom and 1.4 prime lenses today, quickly readjusted the padding, zipped it up, and I was out the door without a worry. Of course, I still had room for about four other lenses. I also had my 20-year-old Minolta camera in there, and the design of the hammock and the way the padding angled around the camera body gave it a very secure fit. The memory foam designed to sit on top of the camera body is dense, but it is covered in felt and seems safe enough to have pressed against the display screen of a DSLR. In short, there is no need to worry about harming your gear with this pack, which is important because many of us don't have the most rugged equipment in the world. The padding also gives me peace of mind for hauling my laptop around. My 15.4" laptop fits like a glove in its designated spot and the padding extends to all sides of the compartment (even on top where it zips).

I have taken this pack with me on a trek through the snow on one occasion. I had no problem or hesitation setting it down in the snow. The bottom is very durable and waterproof, and the pack does not easily tip over. I've even packed it lopsided and had some of the flaps hanging open, and it still didn't tip.

While the main features of this pack are great, the little things Caselogic added are a nice touch. Aside from the main two compartments (for camera equipment and laptop), the ancillary compartments on this bag are useful. There are two pockets on the inside flap of the camera compartment and several pockets accessible from the outside. Each of these has its own padding to some degree, and within most of the pockets are different sized pouches just right for fitting any type of smaller equipment (e.g., batteries, film, memory cards, lens filters). The tripod straps on the outside of the bag seem very durable and large enough to hold most any sized tripod, although I have not yet tried taking one out with me. Finally, it helps that the shoulder straps are padded. When this bag is loaded with a laptop and photo equipment, it gets pretty heavy, and it helps that the full length of the straps are padded.

There's not a lot to complain about with this pack. In fact, I only have one gripe, and it is too minor to merit the loss of a star from my rating. With the amount of padding on the back of this bag, it's going to press against your back when you have it loaded, and it doesn't take long to build up a sweat. It would have been nice to see Caselogic design this pack with an airflow system that holds the pack just far enough off your back to let air through (like with newer hiking backpacks). Maybe that will be the next step. For now, though, this concern is too minor for me to complain.

Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program WOW, is where I will start, this case gets 10 STARS! In the past I reviewed the Case Logic XN SLR-6 med. case and it had MANY flaws. ALL of those flaws have been corrected on this new SLRC-206 case. The area where the camera body goes is now UNIVERSAL! ANY body will now fit this case even with a Canon 300mm L lens attached, hood reversed! My 20D even fits perfect with a battery grip attached, It is totally universal, BEAUTIFUL! There is now padding all around even the flap that goes around the top over the camera body! The padding is very substantial all over this case, even the small pieces that hold your lenses in place are very thickly padded, moveable and and contoured to hold everything secure. Everything inside is moveable with velcro, even the rubber sling piece the lens slips through, completely adjustable for any use, you can even take out everything inside and use it as a regular backpack! I LOVE THIS CASE and I thank case logic for listening to my review and correcting every single flaw of the XNSLR-6. Even the bottom was well thought out. It has a hard water proof bottom. The zippers are extra big and zip with ease, there are plenty of compartments inside and out. There are velcro tripod straps on the side and another compartment on the other side. There is a handle on the top very well reinforced and well padded shoulder straps and padding on the back where it rests on your back. They thought of everything! All of these GREAT features and best of all this case weighs literally NOTHING! It is very substantial but feather light so go ahead and fill it up, it holds a ton of stuff even a laptop and the weight will be what you put inside not in the case itself like most competitors. It also looks great and the bright yellow interior GREATLY helps you see what's inside, I hate a case with a black interior when you are packing mostly black photo gear! This bag is a 100% improvement over the XNSLR-6. I can't think of one negative thing to say and thats just not normal for me as I am very hard to please. GET IT! This is an AWESOME case!!!!

I noticed there are no interior dimensions mentioned for the photo side of this case just the laptop side so here you go:

The camera gear side interior measures 16.5'' tall x 11'' wide x 6.5'' deep, about the size of your average backpack with tons of room. Will easily pass as a carry on bag!

Honest reviews on Case Logic SLRC-206 SLR Camera and 15.4-Inch Laptop Backpack (Black)

This is my second second Case Logic Backpack this size. The older model was ok, but didn't feel durable, and broke a couple zippers within months, so I was a little hesitant about this one. This model does seem a little heavier, more durable, and the zippers seem to be better, but the side straps for the tripods didn't last long. One broke within a month or little over. They are pretty good bags, wish they would be a little more durable. Because of that I have to go 3 stars...

It has been a long trek for me finding the perfect bag, so far this Caselogic bag comes close but still no cigar... I am looking for a bag I can bring to work daily to carry my laptop and most if not all my camera gear and not look like a luggage is on my back.

The good:

Excellent padding throughout the entire bag.

Hard bottom for stability & protection.

Divider padding is thick (see bad).

Memory foam cover of the camera slot.

The bad:

Shoulder strap is thinly padded (My Canon branded camera backpack has a beefier shoulder strap).

Very tight fit for my 50D with battery pack, needs alot of forcing to zip closed (Canon 1D & battery grip pack owners beware).

Dividers are too thick, wasting valuable space (easily remedied).

The camera holder suspension slot is too tight, I can't insert the camera with the hood on (24-70mm). Going in and out the camera gets stuck. (It can be removed)

I have 3 bags currently (Canon & Lowepro Computrekker Plus) this Caselogic bag is an excellent size, not too big, and I was able to fit all my gear plus my MBP 15". However the bad listed for the battery pack prevents me from using it everyday. In addition the straps on the Caselogic slr206 concerns me on the long term reliability.
