It takes a little long to get the product from China to the East coast of the U.S. but it's fine when it arrives. Nice smooth real leather texture. Classy, yet unpretentious. Fits well over the EM-5 leaving key access points (except the battery) readily accessible. The grip takes a little getting used to but, when accustomed, adds enough mass in the right places for a better overall grip and control than using the bare body alone. Nice!

The camera shown is not a Pentax Optio W30. And the silicone skin on the camera is not the product you should receive.

The actual skin does not have the wide, square opening in front. It contours around the lens area, for starters.

However, I have heard of more than one instance where buyers were sent the skin in the illustration. Be warned.

Holy smokes. If a friend had handed me his camera in this case and asked, "What do you think the case cost?" I would have replied, " I dunno, a buck fifty?" If you had shown me this case and told me it cost $150.00 I wouldn't have batted an eye. The quality of the material, the lining, the hardware, the fit, the craftsmanship, the design... it all screams quality. As an old geezer I LOVE the retro look that my state of the art G-15 is packed in. Takes me back to the 50's and 60's. Which you Gen-whatevers should embrace as cool... 'cause it is.

I am amazed, amazed that I paid just 35 bucks for this case. One reviewer complained about the awkwardness of the case dangling from the bottom snap. Well, that is awkward. And it bugged me at first. But I unintentionally unsnapped one side snap and the bottom snap, leaving the case to hang from the other side snap and this proved to be a very manageable arrangement, freeing you from having to pull the front cover off completely and stuff it under your arm or in your cargo pants or whatever while you shoot.

Back in the day we used to call Ever Ready Cases, "Never ready cases". But this guy is ready to go in a snap. And with the fast start up of the G-15 is a winner. Luv it.

I am so glad I saw this case as a recommended accessory for the G15, which I bought my wife for Christmas. It is a classy looking case, very well made, 'real leather' look (see update comment), and a good design. I know there are others who criticize the design, saying it is impractical. The case has 3 snaps which secure the case to the camera, plus a knurled tripod nut mount that screws the case onto the camera. So if all the snaps are open, the flip-lid of the case can be removed, leaving a leather case protecting the sides and bottom surfaces of the G15. If you are using the camera at home, you may want to remove the flip lid while using the camera. However, the snaps are designed to allow you to use the case with the flip lid attached. You unsnap the bottom snap and flip the lid back toward you and push it down. The two side snaps act like hinges, letting you rotate the lid back over the camera. You now have access to the entire LCD and rear control buttons....ALL of the controls are accessible. The new case is stiff, and needs some flexing to keep the flip lid out of the way so it doesn't hit your chin while shooting. Others have suggested unsnapping one of the side snaps to swing the flip lid out of the way. This works too, but I would hate to lose the lid, hanging by just one snap. The strap matches the color of the case and is adjustable. It may be made of 'pleather', but it is very flexible and easy to store in a purse or large pocket.

The only negative about the design, is that you must unscrew the tripod nut on the bottom of the case to access the G15 battery and memory card. You can minimize this inconvenience by only screwing the nut 3-4 turns, so that it removes more quickly. And yes, there is no place to store a spare battery or memory card. It would be nice to have a small pouch that would fit on the strap to carry some of these items.

Update 12/30/2012: I just re-read the description for this case and the mftr states that the case is made of 'PU Leather'. According to Wikipedia, PU leather "is a man-made material made with a split leather backing covered with a layer of polyurethane that is applied to the surface and then embossed." So, this case is not made of 100% leather, as you would swear by looking at it. So, I have modified the term 'real leather' in my original review.

After having this for a couple months, I find this case to be best for storage such as in a safe or during transport. The top cover gets in the way and is awkward to use while shooting photos, I remove the 3 snap cover and set it aside until I'm finished shooting.

The build quality and materials along with the clasic look is great but I will be looking for something that works better in the field.

This review doesn't have to be long. I love this case. The exterior is rugged and attractive and the interior is soft and protective. It has a little padding for the screen and comes with a matching strap that replaces the Canon one that came with your camera. The only downside is that its not very convenient. Removing the top takes a beat longer than pulling your camera out of a zipper case, and you have to remove the bottom to access the battery and SD card. It's a fair trade-off for a stylish and very well made case.

The Montgomery Street Courier is a great bag that unfortunately comes with a mediocre strap. The killer feature is the quick-zip side opening that provides fast access to a camera (assuming you're wearing the bag on your left hip). I used to take far too long to get my camera out of several different messenger-style bags that I've used over the years. With the Courier, I leave the wrist strap on my camera hanging out of the bag. I put my hand through the strap, pull the zipper down and grab the camera in a single move, and I can have it out of the bag in a second.

The camera compartment is 5" wide x 7.5" tall x 3.5" deep, which is more than big enough for my Olympus E-PL5 with Panasonic 12-35 mm f2.8 zoom. There's sufficient leftover space that I can put a pair of gloves or other stuff on the bottom under the camera.

There's another compartment above the camera compartment that's accessible from the top of the bag. It measures 5" wide x 3" tall x 3.5" deep, which is large enough to hold a small zoom, a couple of pancake lenses or a flash. The remainder of the main part of the bag is a tall narrow compartment ( 3.5" x 3.5" x 10.5") that fits a reasonably large water bottle. There's a padded sleeve to hold an iPad inside the main compartment, plus a sleeve pocket on the rear exterior to hold papers. The small lens cap pocket on the outside of the bag is handy, and looks to be big enough to hold a 72 mm lens cap, maybe even bigger. There are also a good number of small pockets on the front of the bag, covered by the top flap when the bag is closed. Lastly, there's a pocket inside the top flap, but it's not that useful because if you put anything bulky in it, the flap becomes too thick to close properly, as the magnets on the underside of the flap can't connect with the magnets on the bag.

The strap is the only real disappointment. It's narrow and thin and just doesn't look up to the task, even though it's strong enough. A thicker strap, with padding or something substantial would instill more confidence. A shoulder pad or rubber grips on the underside of the strap might also prevent it from sliding across my shoulder and pressing against my neck, which it frequently does. I dislike the strap enough that I'm thinking about cutting it off and asking my wife to sew on a better one. Still, despite the strap it is my favourite camera bag, and one I highly recommend for any street photographer or travelling photographer.

Update 9 March 2013: I've decided the strap's not quite as bad as I first thought, and I've upgraded it to four stars in the review title. I tried it with an add-on shoulder pad, which actually made it worse (I'm not sure if it was my choice of shoulder pad), so I'm back to using the bag with a naked strap. I still would have liked a slightly wider and thicker strap, and some sort of non-slip feature, but I can live with it as it is.

This bag does just what it says... it holds everything that I need, though it feels quite bulky. It's not too feminine and has just the right shade of grey to match a lot of outfits, and I can carry one additional lens with me. It's too bulky to carry an iPad with it, though. I like all the little compartments in the front. Overall, good quality camera bag.

I bought this case from Amazon for my Dimage X (the old one, with 2MP). It fitted nicely onto the camera, but the nasty surprise came when I actually tried to use it during snorkeling.

The shutter lag is about a second, which means that the camera takes a picture about a second after you press the button (see other review). Now try shooting fish when bouncing in the surf!

Very disappointing indeed. I hope they fixed this for the Xt, because the Minolta hotline plainly stated, that it's just the way it is for my camera, not fix is being considered. Now if you shoot static pictures on the beach, the case may be nice, but trying to frame marine life is next to impossible and makes the case practically useless for snorkelers or divers.

I was looking for a camera bag to fit my Sony NEX-5N, 18-55mm lens, 16mm pancake lens plus attachable wide angle conversion lens, and other accessories. I figured, hey, Sony makes a bag specially designed for this camera and two lenses--it's probably a pretty good bet. Unfortunately, it was a bad bet. This camera bag is a disaster in every which way. Why?

1) It is flimsy both on the outside and the inside. A drop or even a light bump would be disastrous. Plus, I get the sense that even carrying it might cause the lenses inside the case to knock up against each other and scratch each other's exteriors, because the velcro divider is super-flimsy and doesn't extend all the way to the top.

2) Unlike other camera bags I've owned, there is hardly any room for the secure storage of additional accessories, such as extra memory card, extra battery, cords, lens caps, filters, etc. My LowePro camera bag has four separate compartments that are either sealed by velcro or zippers. This thing only has one on the back, which has room for approximately one or two lens caps or filters.

3) Most damning of all is that my Sony NEX-5N (the camera the bag was designed to hold) doesn't fit conveniently into the bag. It might fit okay if I were to take off the shoulder strap, flash, and the lens hood. But obviously I can't be bothered to take off my shoulder strap every time I want to store the camera. Taking off the lens hood or flash would be less of a problem, but there is absolutely no extra room in the bag to store them. (And keep in mind that my second lens is a pancake lens--if your second lens is a telephoto lens, good luck.)

4) I haven't the slightest idea how the only other reviewer (as of time of writing) managed to fit his camera, 18-55 mm, 16 mm, and 55-210 mm lenses into the bag. I could barely fit my camera (without shoulder strap, flash, and lens hood), pancake lens, and a spare battery into the bag. This left a small amount of remaining room above the pancake lens, and I could have stuffed my shoulder strap, flash, and lens hood loosely into that space. Which is bad, because you don't want things floating around in your camera bag. But my wide-angle conversion lens (which fits onto the pancake and is much smaller than a telephoto lens) didn't fit.

I really don't write many reviews, but I hope this one helps people in the market for a camera bag for their Sony alpha NEX camera and lens(es). Do yourself a favor and buy a sturdy camera bag from a company dedicated to designing them.

I've just received this camera bag and it is perfect for carrying what I want. Versatile configuration. It has three pockets inside. On the left is a fixed partition, which exactly fits my external battery charger (the kind with the slide out prongs), and a couple of spare batteries. There is a moveable partition, which velcros onto the back and front wall to divide the remaining space. If one splits the space, the 55-210mm lens can be stood in one space, and the camera, on its side (back to the right wall, for example, and lens pointing to left wall), in the other. The camera strap can be rolled up and will fit above the lens. The tele lens fits with the lens hood reversed, and even (with a bit of difficulty) when wrapped in the bubble wrap envelope that it is shipped in. This latter configuration pushes up on the lid when closed, but will work. If one removes the movable divider, the camera can be placed in the large space with the tele lens attached. In this layout, the stock SELP16-50 lens can go into the fixed partition/pocket in the left of the camera bag. There is space above the tele lens for other stuff, one can use the divider or other padding to separate the lens/camera from the other things one wants to carry. When I put the external charger in the left fixed pocket, there is enough room to add two spare batteries alongside the charger. To get a sense of the length of this bag, it would accomodate the camera with the tele lens, with the lens in the fully extended position-not that one would carry it in this position, but this gives you a sense of dimensions. The zippered compartment in back is deeper than it appears in pictures-it will easitly take SD cards, even a couple of filter cases. In fact, the supplied charger and USB cable easily fits in this pocket. All in all, this case has the perfect dimensions for packing everything I take.

The case comes with a shoulder strap that attaches to large plastic D-rings on each side. It also has a carry handle sewn on to the front of the case, a 1/4 inch below the zipper. It's a strange place to place a handle because when one picks up the case with the handle, the case turns over so the back of the case is almost parallel to the floor. However, if I put my hand through the strap, palm against the front wall of the case, strap against wrist, finger tips curled under the bottom, it works perfectly, Still, one is likely to be using the shoulder strap for any significant carrying, so this does not seem to be a big deal either way.

Build quality. Too early to tell, I just got the case today. The main zipper seems strong and has two zips, with strong pulls sewn on. The zipper mechanism itself is plastic as is the loop on it (to which the pull is sewn). The loop looks thin and flimsy and may be prone to breaking. The zipper for the back pocket is extremely fine and doesn't look like it would deal well with rushed or rough pulling.

The nylon that the case is made of is heavy duty-this is not lunch box material. There is thick padding--3/8"-1/2"--on all six sides of the case. So this will protect your gear, but maybe not from a fall from height. It is by no means flimsy, and works well for my purpose-which is to put it in my travel backpack, where it will protect the camera and gear from all the other stuff I have in the backpack.

All in all, the build quality looks good, the case is compact, but perfectly proportioned to carry the NEX3N, the 55-210 tele lens and hood, external charger, spare batteries, a couple of filters and SD cards in their cases. And its a good looking case.

I can put it in with the flash attached though it's a better fit with the flash off the camera. I really like the size of the case because it fits pretty well in a carry on bag for air travel with the essentials needed for photography and protects the camera. It is also an easy bag to carry because it is fairly small. It is well thoughout to be used with this camers with the standard lens along with the telephoto lens and an extra battery with charger. There is a little pocket in the back for extra memory cards etc. Just couldn't fit in the instruction book.

The case arrived much earlier than promised and in perfect shape. The case fits the camera perfectly and is ideal for holstering the camera on the belt. An excellent feature is the double zippering that allows to open the case in one stroke by pulling the connecting lace between the zippers. With the zippers open the camera can remain secured very well by the top velcro flap; this way the camera can be removed from the case very fast not to miss quick photo opportunities. The bag is fairly big, big enough to hold a Canon 400D (XTi) with a lens comfortably. However, there's no side pockets! So all of your accessories have to be put inside the bag also, where they could fly around freely and hit the camera. However, it does have a lot of padding. The only thing that concerns me is the fact that the accessories are left to fly around inside the bag.

I bought this bag because of the compact size and really cheap price (less than eight dollars when I ordered it). I use this bag for little events I take pictures of like a friend's birthday party, etc. not for real jobs such as weddings since it will not fit all your required equipment. Size You can fit basically almost every camera body in the bag. If you plan on bringing a pro camera with you (which I would not recommend), you'll only be able to fit one lens (NOT a telephoto one) and maybe a battery or two (I have a Canon 5D Mark II and a Nikon D700). Otherwise, an entry level one would be able to fit more. I use this bag for either my T3i or D5100. I can fit the camera (with battery grip attached (D5100 with the kit lens attached, and a prime lens (50mm) with an extra battery and cleaning kit (in a pouch) snugly into the bag. Quality The bag is lined with padding and rubber bottom which is good. The strap though is IMO, not so sturdy and it's not that comfortable at all. Otherwise this bag is great for the price and the portability. I don't know why people were complaining about the bag as having no pockets because nowhere in it's description or pictures show it having pockets. I'd recommend this for someone who's just starting out in photography and or someone who is planning NOT to expand their lens library.

I picked up this case at Best Buy for 16.99 for SONY NEX-C3 camera. It is a perfect fit. The camera with the kit lens (18-55mm) can fit as a top loader with lens pointing down or lens pointing up front toward the Lowepro letering you see in the front.

Just like its little sibling, the Dashpoint 20, it is very well built, with adequate padding and high quality zippers offering maximum protection. You wouldn't expect anything less from one of the leading companies in camera gear protection and transportation. The case comes with a neck strap and which is pretty convenient. Additionally the top flap houses a small inside pocket for memory cards. There is enough room to store an additional battery inside the case as well. Overall very happy with it and surprised that Best Buy has a better price than here. If you are looking for a case to carry your compact system camera and a couple of accessories, you will not go wrong with this one. Highly recommend it.
