Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program For many years, I've bought and carried JanSport Backpacks (JanSport Classic SuperBreak Backpack) because they are strong, sturdy and have a long life. When I received this Case Logic CPL-108GY Backpack, I wanted to test its durability. First, I removed all the padded compartments/dividers and used it to carry novels, notebooks, pencil pouches, etc., to work, church, and most everywhere I go. For nearly four months, I have carried this backpack faithfully every day. The zippers, buckles and seams have remained intact. None have torn or ripped apart.

I own numerous electronic devices including several digital cameras, a portable DVD player, a portable film projector, portable Bluetooth speaker, and several wireless headphones. The Case Logic CPL-108GY Backpack makes it easy to carry all of these. The padded compartments/dividers inside the backpack are easy to remove and reinsert. There is a diagram that comes with the backpack; it explains every part of the backpack, which has a multitude of compartments and pockets--more than I will ever use. If you lose the diagram, there is one on Amazon's website for this product.

I took this backpack with me when I photographed animals at the Norfolk Zoo. I own a Canon EOS Rebel T3 12.2 MP CMOS Digital SLR [Canon EOS Rebel T3 12.2 MP CMOS Digital SLR with 18-55mm IS II Lens and EOS HD Movie Mode (Black)], which my parents bought me for Christmas two years ago. I was able to carry extra flash memory cards [SanDisk 32GB SDHC Flash Memory Card (SDSDB-032G-B35)] inside slots that are provided for them. Thankfully, this backpack has its own blue weather hood. It began raining rather hard at the zoo. I was able to put the hood over the backpack with little difficulty.

I highly recommend the Case Logic CPL-108GY Backpack for carrying all your electronics. It is strong, durable, sturdy and should last many years with proper treatment. It reminds me very much of my JanSport Backpacks, which I have always bought. I gave a CPL-108GY Backpack to my girlfriend, Tammy, who is an amateur photographer, for Valentine`s Day. She also likes it very much because of its multitude of compartments/dividers. Also, she said it was lightweight, but strong, compared to other backpacks she has purchased.

Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program This is a medium sized camera backpack.. a perfect size for my amateur needs. I don't want something huge, but need something to travel with that has room for my camera, a lense, and some other non-photography related stuff. I like the protected sleeve for the tablet!

I also like that this doesn't have a huge logo advertising Nikon or other big camera name...proclaiming that I have an expensive camera on board. This looks like a generic backback.

One feature it doesn't have, is a sling option with rapid access to the camera. I like the sling bags that you wear over one shoulder and you can rotate horizontally in front of you for fast access to a camera from a door on the side. Some bags allow you to convert to this configuration. This one does not.

The internal padding is of good quality and very flexible with regard to changing configuration. There is room for all my gear if I need it (I am a casual photographer) including an SLR, extra lense, flash, sd cards and batteries. You can attach a tripod to the outside if you want.

There is a rain cover that is easy to get to and stretch over the bag.. a very nice feature. I am not sure how water repellent the bag itself is without the cover.. not something I want to test!

The best features though for me are that it is fairly compact, anonymous, and has room for everything a traveling amateur photographer needs. This is perfect to take with when being a tourist and wanting access to your camera, accessories, travel book, snacks etc etc.

I've always been a big Case Logic fan. I've just always preferred their features, build quality and look. I've bought numerous CL case & bags over the years for that reason.

This bag perfectly (and conveniently) holds;

(2) camera bodies, Panasonic G5, Olympus E-PL5

Four lenses, including a 300mm zoom. Two of the lenses were usually attached to the camera bodies at any given time.

Two chargers & cables

External flash & electronic viewfinder

Misc equipment (SD cards, LED light, mini tripod, etc)

Kindle Fire HD

There's also a side strap to carry a full-sized tripod and a weather proof cover that stores in it's own pouch.

The interior compartments are highly configurable using velcro tabs.

I just returned from a week long trip and the bag performed perfectly. It held the equipment firmly, was relatively small and easy to handle (important in close quarters, like a baseball game), good looking but generic enough not to draw attention.

Highly recommended.

Honest reviews on Case Logic CPL-108GY Backpack for DSLR Camera and iPad, Gray

It's a nice enough backpack if you have a small load and don't need it to be rugged. It's much smaller than I expected. I have a manfrotto 055x tripod (a medium sized tripod) and the tripod strap doesn't come close to fitting it. The tripod strap is really only big enough to accommodate a small monopod. I feel like the description of this was misleading. So unfortunately this bag fails for me, I'll be sending it back.

Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program As the owner of a Case Logic SLRC-206, I'm a big fan of the company's camera bags. This model is even better than the bag I purchased. Like its big brother, it's comfortable, has good padding, and has excellent protective compartments in the main body that are customizable. The side velcro-slot is great for a monopod. As advertised, the back compartment has enough room for an iPad or other tablet. Unlike its big brother, it has a weather sleeve just in case you get caught in rain or snow.

If you have a small DSLR or camcorder setup for run-and-gun shooting, this bag is an outstanding choice. It's light and comfortable, while providing a good degree of protection and the convenience of a protective compartment for a tablet.

For my Canon G10 it shows how well it fits an extra battery, the battery charger, and an extra memory card.

**Note: The case also comes with a carrying strap, but I don't use it so you don't see it in the video (: **

This case fits my Canon G11 very well. It can even accomodate a Canon 270EX flash in the front pocket although it is a tight fit. I found the top loading design and velcro closure very convenient for quick access to the camera. I used this in light rain and also in sub-zero temperatures on a mountain top and found that it protected the camera well from the elements. The included strap is a good length for wearing across the front, around the neck or by your side. Highly recommended.

Update 04/01/2012

I still have this case and I am happy to report that it also fits a Fujifilm X100 camera beautifully as well. You can get a JJC hood, spare battery, 49mm filter and SD card in the front pocket with careful packing.

Honest reviews on Tamrac 5292 T92 Photo/Digital Camera Bag (Black)

It is fitting very well for Canon PowerShot SX110 IS. I am keeping my camera, four extra AA battery, an extra SD memory and a cable in the bag. good quality, good size and good price. I have absolutely no regret about this bag.

Find helpful customer reviews and review ratings for Tamrac 5292 T92 Photo/Digital Camera Bag (Black)

I bought this for a SX100IS and it fits very well; snug enough that I don't have to worry about it bouncing around, but loose enough that it's easy to remove when needed. It is made out of sturdy material and holds its shape even when empty. Making it easier to add and remove items.

The storage pocket easily holds four AA batteries and an extra memory card. You could fit more in there if you needed too. When closing it not only snaps shut, but also uses velcro to insure it stays that way (just in case the snap comes apart, or, you're like me and forgot to close it).

All in all, a very good bag for the price. I am well pleased and would buy again if I needed another bag for a similar sized camera.

This is a very nice case. I bought two more for my kids in different colors

Color is beautiful, delivery was quick, all was good for about three days of carrying this in my purse. Not talking about rough and tumble here...just normal activity...and the zipper is already pulling apart. No way would I dare clip this on my belt or loose anywhere. I would be terrified of losing my camera out of it. Such a shame, less than a month of use, and I already must replace it.

This product was just what I needed for covering my Nikon D800 with my 28-300 lens when I'm hiking or climbing in the mountains. It provides the protection I need in adverse conditions.

Click Here For Most Helpful Customer Reviews >>

If you're searching for a case that will protect your camera, this is not it. Although well made for what it is, the BodyBag Pro Telephoto by LensCoat is made of only 3mm wetsuit neoprene. It will not adequately protect your valuable DSLR from bumps and scratches. And at a cost of over $30.00, you could buy a whole wetsuit for that amount. I've returned the product and instead I've purchased an $11.00 padded/insulated lunch cooler commonly available at discount retailers. The lunch cooler is compact, well padded, cheap and provides much more protection than the LensCoat product. I would have bought a USA Gear Flexarmor which is much thicker at 6mm but a research of reviews reveals that it isn't quite large enough to adequately fit a Nikon D7000 and 18-200mm lens. Note to manufactures: Design a compact, well-padded case that fits my DSLR & lens and I will buy it.

Best Deals for LensCoat BodyBag Pro Telephoto LCBBPTBK

I purchased the item in black due to the price difference between it and the same item in camo that would match my other lenscoat stuff. it does its job to protect the camera and also fits with the battery module on and the 70-300mm Nikon lens attached. I only give it 4 stars because it is difficult to get the camera in and out of. Other than that I would recommend this product as a protective cover for your camera.

Reviews of RainbowImaging "Ever Ready" Protective Black PU Leather Camera Case

RainbowImaging 'Ever Ready' Protective Black PU Leather Camera Case , Bag for Sony NEX-3N with Short Prime Lens
Customer Ratings: 3.5 stars
Buy Now
Considering how few cases are (as of today's date) designed for the 3N, I'd go so far to say this is a must-have--especially at this price. It's a perfect fit with the 16-50mm lens, and is a true ever-ready case (unsnap the side snaps to instantly flip the top case off).

-

CONSTRUCTION:

*outer material: made out of PU (artificial leather), but I personally don't think it looks cheap or cheesy; in black, it is inconspicuous. I've seen similar cases made of a crappy vinyl, so this is certainly a step up. I haven't seen any real leather cases for the 3N anyway.

*inside material: lined with a soft, plush velvety fabric. some parts of the case (i.e. near the lens) are slightly padded to provide extra protection.

-

DESIGN:

The case is made of TWO pieces:

1. a bottom part that screws securely into the 3N's tripod mount (and serves as a tripod mount of its own), and

2. a top part (covers the lens, top, screen, etc) that snaps into the bottom part. The two parts are attached by 4 snaps (one on either side of the camera, two on the bottom near the tripod mount).

HOW 'EVER-READY' WORKS: Unsnap the side snaps and the top case hangs loosely from the bottom snaps (thereby allowing you to quickly take pictures). Infinitely better than fumbling around and removing your camera from a generic case, or worse--going case-less.

-

UNFORTUNATELY: This case doesn't play nice with accessories.

*filters: in order to use a quality 49mm UV filter I had lying around, I attached a 40.5-49mm step up ring, and then added the 49mm filter. On top of the filter, I have a snap-on cover. Albeit very thin, that's still 2 extra threads and a cover. with that extra thickness, the top case doesn't fit flush with the camera anymore. if you add one 40.5mm filter, you'd *probably* be ok.

*tripod:

1. if you have anything attached to the tripod mount, the top case will NOT swing down entirely. you better entirely remove the top case before putting any tripod/monopods on the camera (since removing the bottom snaps would be impossible if you have anything already attached...)

2. trying to unscrew anything from the case's tripod mount will most likely end up simply unscrewing the case from the camera instead. it's awkward/difficult trying to remove anything snugly attached to the case's built-in tripod mount.*

SD card, battery: a no-brainer, but the bottom piece completely obscures the SD and battery compartments. IN order to change the battery or SD card, you'll have to completely unscrew the case off. not really an issue for me, but good to keep in mind.

Swivel LCD: The 3N's LCD screen swivels to 90 degrees; trying to pry open the screen to rotate is a bit of an extra hassle. Again, the extra second it takes to open isn't really an issue for me, but I figured I'd point it out anyway.

*By FAR the most annoying setback is the fact that it is difficult to unscrew anything from the tripod mount, without entirely unscrewing the case from the camera. Every time I use my monopod with the bottom case attached, I have to unscrew my camera first, and THEN unscrew the monopod.

-

OVERALL: If you don't plan on using a monopod/tripod and are just walking around shooting free-hand, this case is PERFECT; it adds the protection of a full case, but allows you to take photos in less than 5 seconds (just unsnap the side snaps to free the lens from the case). HOWEVER, if you plan on using a monopod, or a couple filters, it'll be more of a pain than it's worth keeping on. Regardless, in my opinion this case is a must-have for the 3N.

Click Here For Most Helpful Customer Reviews >>

I have mixed feelings about this case.

First, I have a Sony NEX 3N. This case is a bit large when used with the smaller lens. It does include a very small section for at least two cards; however, I wish it would have given a bit more space for an extra battery or other items.

I put my zoom lens on and unzipped the expandable bag to fit the length of the longer lens. I was very unhappy with the padding on the lens area once I extended the case. I didn't feel comfortable that the lens was protected enough so I added more protection to the lens area before I felt at ease.

This isn't the "perfect" case for me. However, I haven't really found one that I like any better but I will keep looking.

The "Leather" case is well made, the strap is wider but flimsier than the fuji factory strap. There was no enclosed literature. Repeated requests to this vendor for to identify the brand have not been answered directly. "They must check with their inventory manager". They don't know what they sent?!! Based upon the hole cutout and stamped" Fujifilm" on the lens cover part of the case, this is seems to be a Protech or possibly an EZ photo case, both of which can be found on Amazon for 19.99. At 59-65 its not a bargain.

Even though this is advertised as a case for the X100 camera it does work fine for the X10 model which is the one I own. The leather is of excellent quality and should last a long time; happy to see that since it is not a low price case! I love that the cover is held in place with a magnet on the bottom and that it just flips open over the front and you can keep the camera in the case to use it. Just remember to put your lens cap in a pocket since there is no way to hold it in the case when operating the camera. Giving it 4 instead of 5 stars due to the lack of any additional storage space though I guess that's what keeps it sleek and fitted to the camera ;p

I've got a decent DSLR that I had a tendency to throw into whatever bag I happened to be carrying. Finally, I decided to go on the hunt for a proper bag for it. The goal was to find something different than the standard black and boring bags that I saw at every store I shopped. I already had a Manfrotto messenger bag, so a quick search on Amazon, and I came across this little beauty in white. Now every time I set it down in a room, I know exactly where it is. Nice padding, roomy, and sturdy clasp and strap. A co-worker of mine drooled over my bag, he thought it looked so good. I gave it to him as a going-away present as he left the states for Kosovo. He hasn't stopped thanking me. I ordered another one.

This bag is okay for a single SLR camera and spare batteries. There's not enough room for other accessories. The padding is minimal but that's okay with me. I don't like the metal lock. It adds weight and it's noisy. This metallic noise is annoying. I would prefer a good hard plastic lock.

good bag, plenty of room for the camera with additional times. For animals to photograph, disrupts the closure of aluminum. He makes noise during movement, if it is not locked.

The product is just like the one in the picture. But he said it would fit a D7000 with a 18-105mm, but I don't think it fits so well. I can close the bag, but it's not so smooth as it should be, I guess. I think the camera body is a bit wide for this bag and the top edges won't let it fit so well

Click Here For Most Helpful Customer Reviews >>

This camera holder is too small for the Nikon D5100 camera body and cannot accommodate a larger lense, such as a 200mm zoom lense.

Best Deals for Nikon Top Loader Holster SLR Camera Case with Multi Compartments

I purchased this camera case after trying other 'compact' cases to hold my Nikon DS5100 DSLR. I wanted as small a case as possible to use day-to-day with my camera that allowed me to carry the camera and my most critical items while traveling. I had been reluctant to move from my point-and-shoot digital to the DSLR format due to the bulk of the camera and related equipment. Although this case is many times larger than my former belt-mounted case and, with the DSLR in it, many times heavier, I believe that the picture quality compensates for this added bulk. That said, my former trials of compact cases ended up being either too bulky, poorly made, or more of a 'sock' to cover the camera. This case seems to be the best compromise so far.

The case is about as compact as I could get and fit my DS5100 with Nikon 18-105 lens (with cap/filter) inside. It just barely makes it. Good news is that this tighter fit means that the camera is pretty much fixed in place when the unit is closed. The lens points downward towards the bottom of the case, so there is some risk of damage if the case i dropped. I'm not sure any smaller case would be much better, but I will be careful. Here are my Pluses and Minuses so far:

PLUS

+ compact size and rounded shape doesn't look as imposing as other cases

+ quality of construction appears to be be very well made of high quality material

+ easy to open/close although tight fit with my camera arrangement

+ light weight despite reasonable padding, this case is very light

+ reasonable price very good price point for quality

+ nicely padded especially on the back that would rest against your body (w/ventilated fabric)

+ Several pockets for carrying smaller items (see below)

MINUS

Just a smidgen too small would be a much better fit if just a 1/2" bigger top-to-bottom and around the middle.

Interior storage pockets only would be nice to have one or two small pockets on outside (easy to access)

Padding at the bottom of the camera compartment is a bit thinner than ideal. Seems OK overall, but would be potential issue if the case fell with the bottom front hitting the floor first. I may add some padding fitted to my lens to better support the kit and protect it.

Interior pocket design makes it harder to get larger (my camera) kit into the product. Rigid panel dividing the camera area from storage area tends to waste space. I will probably cut out this panel and accept the fewer number of storage pockets. Not a great loss as I probably can't fit much of anything in there anyway and still close it around the camera.

Further to above -case holds my camera with 18-105 lens, an SD-USB reader, and some SD cards, and not much else. One item that I wanted in the case, but won't fit is the battery charger. I will have to leave that 'at home' along with my lens hood, in order to live in this case.

NOTE if you have a DS3100 or similar, you probably will fit much better in this case.

BOTTOM LINE: While not perfect, this case should make carrying/using my DSLR much more convenient. Not quite as easy as my former point-and-shoot, but easily workable.

I bought this camera pouch (Lowepro Dashpoint 30) from eBay for my Canon EOS M w/18-55mm lens and it is perfect fit. Bag is very strong but super light weight, high quality from inside and out. I own many camera bags and this one is my favorite. If you have Canon EOS M w/22mm Lens, then Lowepro Dashpoint 20 is a good fit for you.

I picked up this case at Best Buy for 16.99 for SONY NEX-C3 camera. It is a perfect fit. The camera with the kit lens (18-55mm) can fit as a top loader with lens pointing down or lens pointing up front toward the Lowepro letering you see in the front.

Just like its little sibling, the Dashpoint 20, it is very well built, with adequate padding and high quality zippers offering maximum protection. You wouldn't expect anything less from one of the leading companies in camera gear protection and transportation. The case comes with a neck strap and which is pretty convenient. Additionally the top flap houses a small inside pocket for memory cards. There is enough room to store an additional battery inside the case as well. Overall very happy with it and surprised that Best Buy has a better price than here. If you are looking for a case to carry your compact system camera and a couple of accessories, you will not go wrong with this one. Highly recommend it.

I like how it protects my camera but it is just so bulky that it won't fit in my purse well. Also, because of the zipper, it's slow to get the camera out when you want it in a hurry. So I put it in this case in my carry on bag when we travel but switch it to a string pull cloth bag for easy retrieval.
