This product is very good, does not create too much glair or darkens the display too much.

As always, I am still looking for one that is easy to apply, and this was no exception. Painfull, but it does feel more robust than some I have used before.

The only thing I don't like about this item is that it's not a flat glossy plastic like the ones you'd get for a smartphone. This one is more like a rubbery plastic and has ripples in it(it's hard to explain)

It works great in most situations, but it does catch weird glare on the screen sometimes.

I'd still recommend it, I just wish it looked like a glass screen still.

Shield Zone's Invisible Shield, intended to protect the LCD screen on digital SLRs, might work very well. If you can install it. Getting it onto your LCD screen seems easy, and maybe it is if it all goes perfectly to start with. But be warned, any wrinkle, any slightly off-the-mark initial placement and you are stuck with a mess. Try to move the shield without touching it--impossible. Touch it (even with the provided lubricant) and you end up with a smudge, a bubble, or worse. Fortunately it was a lot easier to remove, and toss in the garbage. It's only $12 which seems pretty cheap to protect an expensive LCD panel, but you get what you pay for.

I feel this is a good product for protecting the screen on your camera from scratches. Who knows what would happen after a solid hit!

I do prefer the solid pastic piece that is specically cut for your camera and designed to protect your camera screen from the world of hard knocks! In my case, the Canon EOS 40D.

Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program My rating: 4.5 out of 5. The reason is because I would have preferred the padding to be slightly thicker all-around, but the case still provides decent padding.

The inside of the case has these measurements:

7.5" vertical height from bottom of case without soft shelf.

Dimensions of bottom of case is 4" x 3.5"; Dimensions of top of case is 5.5" x 4".

INSIDE SPACE: The case comes with a soft shelf that attaches to the velcro sides on the inside. The shelf allows you to create a hidden space of 2" to 3" in height, leaving a 4" space above. You can put a smaller device in the top for a better fit, or two different devices in the case. I keep my Canon SX210 Digital Camera in the hidden space, and I put my Panasonic HD Camcorder in the top space. The shelf can also be used as a divider to create space for two skinnier, but taller devices.

POCKETS: There's a flat pocket in the top flap that measures 5" x 3" for fitting about 8 memory cards.

There's a pocket in the front that can hold a digital camera, or a personal recording device, or battery and battery charger, or an A/C plug.

PADDING: The base has a tough, thick padding, about 1/2" thick. The padding in the rest of the case is about 3/8" thick. I would have preferred if the padding was either 1/2" thick all around, or even a 5/8" thick padding. It would have been a perfect case then, but it's still offers great protection.

I don't use this case for my DSLR. It does fit my Canon XSi DSLR, but not with the lens attached. I can store the 18-55 lens in the bottom space, and the body on the soft shelf. The bottom won't hold the 55-200 lens, or the camera body. It will only hold small lenses.

This is an excellent case. The handle is tough and padded well. The zippers are high quality, zip smoothly, and don't jam at all. The shoulder strap is a flat, thin piece of fabric, not padded at all. It's not really uncomfortable, but it would have been nice to have a padded strap. The strap reaches a maximum of 20" down off the shoulder. Other than the padding issue, this is a near perfect case based on my use. 4.5 out of 5.

Lowepro has the good reputaion on camera bags, but first I was very concerned about the size too small for Canon 60D & 18-135mm lens, while I didn't want a big toploader. After reading everybody's reviews here, I was convinced that it should work and I have given a try. Wow, it worked. It's big enough for the camera, or it may be a little tight to somebody else. For me, it is the perfect size. I can put my extra battery and hood in the front pocket, and memory cards inside the lid pocket. If I fly, it can be put in my suitcase or backpack. When the weather is bad, I can easily take pictures and put camera back to it for good protection. For light travellers, it's highly recommended to have this bag for Canon 60D.

Update: I can carry 2 lenses: one with the camera in the bag, and another one like 70-300mm in lens bag attached. I can put 60D & 17-55mm F2.8 lens inside. I thought, only Tamron or Sigma 17-50mm f2.8 lens would fit, and I really wanted to use it to carry my new general purpose lens. Glad to find out that I was wrong.

Best Deals for Toploader Zoom 50 AW Shoulder Camera Bag by Lowepro

Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program I'm a portrait photographer, so the bag that I carry around usually is large enough for a number of different lenses and flashes. That's definitely not enjoyable when you're heading to the park with your kids or taking a bike ride. This bag is ideal for traveling. It's compact and yet has more than enough room for my body and my favorite walking around lens (28-75mm) with me. I love that there's an easily accessible front pocket as well it's the perfect place for me to put my cards and cash so that I don't have to carry a purse around as well.

One of my favorite parts about this bag, though, is something that I didn't expect. The other day my husband and I got ourselves and our children up at the unholy hour of 5 am to go to a fishing derby. Of course it started sprinkling and then the rain came down. I got worried about my camera until I remembered that the bag had built-in rain gear! I slipped the rain covering out of the back of the bag and wrapped it around the bag. It stayed on beautifully and kept my camera gear safe. Any photographer will tell you that when you're not prepared for the rain, it can ruin not only a shoot, but also your camera, costing you thousands of dollars. That's why I was so appreciative of the rain covering.

This has become my favorite walk-around bag, and considering that I have a number of different bags, that's saying something. Lowepro did an awesome job creating this bag, and while it may be the first bag of theirs I own, it won't be the last.

Honest reviews on Toploader Zoom 50 AW Shoulder Camera Bag by Lowepro

Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program I prefer using this style of bag when going out with just a single camera-lens setup. This Lowepro Toploader has everything I need and then some. It's just (barely) large enough for my Canon 20D with Tamron AF 18-270mm Zoom Lens attached. Pocket for extra batteries and cards, and the rain cover is a nice touch that I haven't needed but appreciate being there for emergencies. I am not sure the padding would be sufficient to prevent breakage should the bag be dropped and would like to see a tad more, but overall, I am very happy with this bag.

Excellent bag. Was looking at reiveiws and was hoping it would fit my Nikon D5000 + Tamron 18-270pzo. It is a VERY nice fit. Thought others might be wondering since it is rated for a 50mm and obviously 270mm seems a bit out of the range!

Easily fits my Canon 6D and two primes ( the 50mm 1.4 and 40mm 2.8 ) But will also fit the 6D and one larger sized lens like the 24-105 or 17-40 with some room to spare. This bag looks good, feels good, and even smells good. A lot of attention to detail went into it. I'm very pleased with the construction and quality of materials. Well worth the price IMO. Highly recommended!

Great bag, a pleasure to use. Looks awesome and inconspicuous. Perfect for an interchangeable lens camera with a smaller extra lens and accessories.

Best Deals for ONA Bowery Shoulder Bag/Insert (Field Tan)

It's tougher to design a small bag than a larger bag. A small bag with thick padding will carry very little, too thin on the construction and it is flimsy and lacks protection. Ona did a great job designing and building this bag. It is small enough to be carried everywhere, yet it is unobtrusive easily fitting the body without the unbalancing feeling of a medium or large bag. It will fit many configurations of camera/lens/accessories. It won't carry everything all at once, rather it fits one or two lenses. I purchased it to carry my camera and a flash unit, maybe fitting in a pancake lens also. Beautiful construction, this will last a lifetime, it is one of those bags that will look better with time. One last thing, there is no velcro, zippers or plastic buckles.

I got this case to use with my new Olympus D545. It fits the camera beautifully with a slot inside for an extra card. It is leather and very well constructed. It protects the camera well and that is the most important thing.

The only drawback one might consider is, it won't hold extra batteries or the cord to down load the pics to your computer. A larger bag will have to be used for that. My plan is to find one that doesn't look like a camera bag to store my camera in this particular case along with the other accessories I mentioned for travel/vacations.

All and all, I love this and am very happy with the protection it affords my camera. The price is right for the job it does.

This camera case works well with my olympus D630. The width is perfect but there is unnecessary extra space lengthwise. I bought this camera because it is very small but the case sort of negates the whole space advantage. It is a very durable and secure case. I feel comfortable using the case to protect the camera in all situations.

This little leather case fits like a glove with the camera, a good thing, but there is a bit of leather fabric that gets pulled down toward the inside and it seems that over time the leather may rip with the movement of getting the camera in the case. also, very pleased that the FE110 fits in with the spare batteries inside the case, although it is designed for the spare batteries to hang comfortably on the side.

The quality of the case looks nice and classic.

but will be too tide and cannot close when put on extra filter (such as UV protect lens) and the front cap

But still a beautiful case. I will definitely buy another one when I bought my DP2 Merrill

the only problem is , the designer didn't consider the filter, with filter and lens cap, the room is not enough, you must take either filter or cap, when you use the case .

If this is the size and format solution you need, it's a great backpack. It is my primary main bag at this point, and when I travel, is what I carry on the plane with me. As a backpack such as when hiking, though, I don't think it's the best solution. For that, I use a ThinkTank Speed Freak. Because this bag holds a computer (up to a Dell 8600 size), it is a great travel solution if the camera part is big enough for you. I can get a (all Nikon) D200, D70, 70-200 f2.8, 12-24 f4, 18-200 VR, SB-800, CP8400, spare batteries, chargers, filters, and a few other accessories in the main compartment. I don't put anything in the ouside pocket to get on a plane, as then it's too thick for the overhead. This bag will fit under the seat in every plane I've been in, including commuter's. It will fit in every overhead except the commuters. These appraisals are with a computer in the bag, too. You WILL get flagged by TSA, as there is just too much stuff in a bag like this. But I've never been delayed, just had them look through it for 1 or 2 minutes. What I've heard is if you have a lot of stuff, and it's NOT organized in a bag like this, that's when you may have more trouble. If you have more equipment than I do, possibly the Plus version would be better. But, keep in mind that one will be too big for some airlines for a carry on, especially international. Also, this one is VERY heavy when fully loaded, so the Plus would be just that much heavier.

In terms of what the bag is "intended" for, backpacking or hiking, I at least would not use it for that. I want more instant access and you have to take this off to get at anything. When full, this bag is VERY heavy, and if you were hiking or backpacking you DON'T need that much equipment. If you think you do, you will simply be very unhappy IMO. Further, you won't take a computer on a hike (well, I certainly don't), and the computer pocket just adds thickness (at least 2 inches even when empty) if not carrying a computer.

But as a primary storage solution and travel solution, I like this bag.

The AW cover is fine and well designed, but since I don't use it for hiking I probably will never use it. But it's nice to know it's there and it takes up literally no room.

It's made very well. It's been on at least 6 trips and looks brand new. It's very excellent protection for the computer and the main compartment (altho' the ouside pocked isn't padded). The straps are comfortable, and up to the task when fully loaded. The dividers are very flexible, and you should be able to make it work for any equipment that will fit inside. I have never received any hassle from TSA when carrying this bag full of gear.

I also have a LowePro Sideline shooter (smaller waist bag that I've actually outgrown), and that has been a great bag for me, too. Just to say that bag has been through the wringer, and still looks great and works great. Lowepro makes quality stuff.

Would I buy the Computrekker AW again? For travel, probably. Although for that I might consider one of the rolling options by Pelican or Lowepro instead, altho those are all larger and that I wouldn't like. I would also consider the ThinkTank Airport bags instead, too.

This is a great bag if it's the right style for you. There's absolutely nothing wrong with the design or construction of the bag. Just think about what you really need before you buy anything, as there are a ton of great choices out there, of which this is certainly but not the only one.

This thing needs a manual! I ordered it after realizng that my laptop and my camera were never going to get along in normal briefcases, backpacks, or photo bags. I started searching the net for combination camera and computer bags and this is where I ended up. The bag arrived today and it exceeds expectations. The product description did not communicate to me that there is a roll-up waterproof cover that comes out of the bottom of the backpack to cover and protect the backpack in the rain (why doesn't my backpacking pack do this????). The product description does not do justice to the wealth of pockets that are on the front of the bag. About 85% of the depth of the pack is consumed by the camera equipment compartment. The remaining 15% is dedicated to the laptop compartment. Not a problem unless you were hoping to carry 2 laptops in that compartment. Can't wait to trave with this. This is going to be great!!!

Best Deals for Lowepro CompuTrekker AW Camera Backpack -Black

The camera compartment is this bag is good, holds an EOS 20D with an attached 70-200 f/2.8l IS USM, and room for more lenses. There is also enough clearance to permit the battery grip. If you plan on using this with a laptop I would not recomend it. If you have a widescreen laptop (ie Dell Lat 800/810, Insp 8500,9500, etc) the zipper barely closes, with one corner pushing out on the zipper, necessating the Computrekker AW Plus. If you have a smaller laptop, you should be okay. However, unless you have an ultra-thin laptop, the compartment isn't thick enough-it's tight enough that the screen will be pressed into the keyboard, scratching the screen. Also, the corners of any laptop could come in contact with the zipper area where there isn't padding. If you drop this case, your laptop could get a cracked corner. This case isn't an all-in-one solution to the laptop & camera combined. Again, it's fine for camera/lenses, fits decently, doesn't scream camera inside. The laptop compartment however could be used for folders, papers, etc.

Honest reviews on Lowepro CompuTrekker AW Camera Backpack -Black

The Lowepro CompuTrekker AW is a great bag! When I first received it, I realized it was much larger than I expected. However, once I started using it, I realized that it is designed very well. I enjoy photographing/video taping my baby daughter. I'm able to fit my SLR with a few lenses, video camera, digital camera, film, and all the associated accessories with ease. I currently don't use the laptop slot, but I thought that would come in handy for holding books/manuals/maps/etc. When I do eventually go into digital, I'll have that space for a laptop. The straps are extremely comfortable and the tripod holder is a nice added touch. I hope not to get caught in severe weather, but it's nice to know there is the all-weather (AW) built-in cover.

Overall, the bag is well-designed. It is well-padded, has enough pockets for accessories, and comfortable. The only drawback is the size, but then again, you can't really go smaller to carry what I carry. If you want to shave weight/size, consider the standard mini-trekker without the laptop pocket.

Lowe (who KNOWS ergonomics when it comes to packs) has a real winner with the computrekker. I also own the SlingShot 100. Why own two bags?I bought the computrekker first then realized:

It's too big for a field bag. In the field, quick access to my gear is cumbersome at best. You have to take the bag off to get to the stuff. Photo-ops don't wait for you to take the bag off and get the camera and the lense and flash.

Also the tripod attachment system is a bit complicated to untangle once you get your tripod on. I don't use the 'beaver tail style' fold down holder.

I'd redesign it closer to the ice-axe handle loops on expedition bags. I just use two adjustable tension bungie straps to hold my lite carbon field tripod.

The computrekker carries everything I need when I TRAVEL on mass transit or car. Cameras, lenses, flashes, tripod, cables, cards, batteries, books, magazines, ALL fit wonderfully and are well protected. And it easily rides with me on an airplane. No need to carry separate laptop and camera bags.

But when I get to my destination, I transfer whatever I will need for the day in the field to the SlingShot 100. The slingshot doesn't have a tripod holder, but I just drop one leg through a loop on the bag and secure with smaller bungee.

Update June 2008:

After at least a year of using this back it is still holding up well. I have to say that I have actually taken it on hikes to falls and cliffs. And again, it is not that well suited for backpacking. It is still great for transporting stuff when traveling (planes, trains, autos), but into the woods I'd leave it at the hotel or in the car. Besides I would not carry my laptop into the woods. Just bring more memory cards and have a camera with a large LCD.

UPDATE JULY 2008

So, I'm selling this bag. It is still in great condition and a top notch performer. I have my eyes set on the LowePro Rover. I am going to Kauai in October (the wettest place on earth) and I want total waterproof protection for my gear. This computrekker will serve some lucky buyer well!

I couldn't be happier with my purchase! I bought this package in 2008 because my husband and I were going to Hawaii in October. The waterproof case worked out perfectly! We snorkeled all over that island and got awesome pictures of all the creatures in the ocean as well as underwater pictures of our each other and our friends. Best of all there were no leaks, so my camera stayed perfectly dry! The camera case and cleaning kit were also very useful. Being on the beach the majority of my trip got a lot of sand in the cracks of my camera, but the cleaning kit took care of that problem, and the camera case was big enough I could fit my personal items as well so I didn't have to carry a purse. I would recommend this package to anyone!

I bought this case for my Pentax S5z and it was too big, which resulted in the lens part of the case getting into pictures. This destroyed around 90% of my pictures.

Otherwise the case worked, meaning it did not leak, but I used it only once as it is pointless to use it with this camera. I strongly discourage to buy this case if you want to use it with Pentax S5z (and possibly other cameras of similar size).

Best Deals for Underwater Case for the Following Pentax Optio Digital Cameras: S

Honest reviews on Underwater Case for the Following Pentax Optio Digital Cameras: S

This is a great piece of kit. It's basically a souped-up plastic bag but has a heavy-duty ziplok, a long sleeve that rolls tight and then two velcro tabs that hold the roll-up closed.

I've been using it a lot over the last two days and it has survived several runs down a log flume plus a fair old bashing around in the pool with the kids. I don't know what it's like at depth I'll give it a trial some other holiday.

The picture doesn't show it too well but the black circle actually sticks out a couple of cm to allow the lens to project when the camera is turned on. The glass at the end is very clear and doesn't hold drips. The controls are easily accessible through the plastic at the rear and the video screen is also easy to view.

All in all a great addition for the cheap family camera.

I love the Kata photo bags. Every one I have tried has been well made and very functional. This little bag is no exception. The bag provides a compartment for a compact camera, and room for accessories or personal items.

I selected this bag for use with the Nikon V1. I have the camera body, the 10-30 and 30-110 lenses, and the flash. The body with the 10-30 lens attached barely fits into the main compartment. The case bulges a little at the top and is a tight fit. The bottom compartment is far too small for anything more than the flash and the flash is very small. The bottom pouch is probably an inch or so deep and heavily padded, so you can't do much to "stretch it".

So my rating of a 4 reflects a solid choice but no special features or functionality to make it a "wow".

Click Here For Most Helpful Customer Reviews >>

If your looking for a svelte and absolute minimum size in a bag to fit your V1, 2 lenses and SB-N5 flash than this is it.

The main top compartment is large enough to hold either:

Snugly fit your V1 with the 30-110 lens attached (hood reversed), in a lens down position.

Easily fit the V1 with 10-30, or 10mm f2.8 lens attached, in a lens down or lens forward position, plus SB-N5 flash next to the camera,(which is not possible with the 30-110 lens attached.

The bottom compartment is large enough to hold either of the following:

Snugly fits 30-110 lens only, with hood reversed, (a little tight due to the larger diameter of the lens hood, but it works.)

Easily fits 10-30mm lens only.

Snugly fits 10mm f2.8 and the SB-N5 flash together.

Easily fits SB-N5 flash alone.

As already mentioned, some of the fits are snug and leave no room to spare, but nothing is forced and all zippers can be easily closed with the combinations I have given. Also all these fittings were done with a hand strap attached to the V1. Note that this bag will not hold all three lenses and camera together. For a three lens kit you want the Tamrac 3440 Rally Micro, or Lowepro 120 bag.

One more thing. The tiny yellow bag attached to the top inside with Velcro must be removed before these fits will work. However, I have found that this tiny yellow bag is a perfect size to put my polarizing filter in and then slide it into the narrow zippered side pouch. I was looking for a tiny pouch for my filters and this works great!

Padding is adequate and not overdone which keeps the bag svelte and light. Construction quality is very good and on a par with the excellent Tamrac bags but with less bulky padding.

All in all Kata KT DL-MX-40 is a good choice for keeping the a Nikon V1 2 lens kit as small and compact as possible while still affording good padded protection. Also men will like the fact that this Kata bag looks like a camera case, and not a purse!

Best Deals for Kata KT DL-MX-40 MarvelX-40 DL Camera Pouch - Black

Case Logic is usually my bag of choice, but this is something different, maybe even a bit odd (which usually gets my attention). I shoot mostly primes with my Pen E-PL5 and this case perfectly handles the Pen, Lumix 20mm pancake, Olympus 45mm, a couple SD cards and a couple batteries. It'll also handle the Lumix Leica 25mm when attached to the Pen, but just barely. Forget anything else bigger.

Also works great with my GX1, but neither camera can be stowed with the flash or view finder attached.

Nicely padded, appears to be well constructed and the separate compartment makes lens switches a bit easier in my opinion.

Highly recommended for prime lens shooters.

Honest reviews on Kata KT DL-MX-40 MarvelX-40 DL Camera Pouch - Black

The bag is excellent. It offers good protection to my Nikon J1, spare battery, 2 additional lenses, a few memory cards and, if you leave a lens out, then the battery charger can be accommodated. I have used this bag in many situations and for many months now and still recommend it wholeheartedly. It is small, per its specification, but this makes it useful. I find myself willing to carry it around and hence, I have a good camera with me when I need it. I can't always say the same of my DSLR Nikon D90 and accessories which I frequently judge to be too bulky to carry around. A great bit of kit!

I have a Canon EOS-M with the 22mm pancake lens and the 11-55mm zoom lens. I was looking for a relatively small case that would allow me to carry the EOS-M, the lenses, a spare battery and an extra SD card. The case needed to be fairly small and have a belt loop. After researching many brands, including Lowepro, Case Logic, Tamrac, Crumpler, Manfrotto, and many others, I was not able to find the right fit nor the right size. Either the cases/bags were too big, too wide to carry on the waist, or too small. So I decided to check out the Kata website to see if they had something interesting.. and they did: The MarvelX-40. Granted, it was a bit more expensive than the other brands, especially the Case Logic cases which are a bargain here in Amazon.com (I do have some case logic cases and they are well made), but it seemed compact enough for my needs so I ordered. When I received it, the case/bag was a bit smaller than what I expected, but everything fit like a glove. There are only 3 compartments: (1) top, (2) bottom, and (3) side. The camera with the 22mm lens fit on the top compartment and the 11-55mm zoom lens fit on the bottom one (or viceversa). The memory card and the extra battery fit in the side compartment. If you insert the 22mm on the top, you have space to fit the battery charger next to the camera.

This case is definitely a keeper. It is my third Kata Bag and they are all built to last. The material is thick, and the interior is well padded. It is not a small case, but it is not a camcorder style case (bigger) either. For my needs is just right.

I bought this camera case about a month ago. It wasn't exactly what I was looking for but it has turned out to be worth it's weight in gold. I have a Canon Elph Powershot camera and this case fits it like a glove.

As luck would have it, I dropped this out of my pocket, while carrying my jacket last weekend. I never knew it, until I found it the next day.....AFTER a long serious thunderstorm. This case kept my camera fully protected and there wasn't even a hint of moisture inside it.

If all you are looking for is a case to protect your camera, without room for accessories, this case should be on your list for consideration. In a pinch, you can also use it for your iPod Touch, as it stretches just enough for the Touch to fit. My daughter uses it for this, from time to time.

Very compact and well made camera pouch. The product came as advertised. My camera fits well in the pouch and the pouch fits well in my pocket or clipped onto my belt (clip not included).
