I'm so tired of reading reviews that this bag is too smallcan't fit their camera in the bag WITH the flash on, etc. That's a pretty tall order for bags of this type and purpose. Next, there will be complaints because the tripod can't be attached during storage as well. This is a wonderful, comfortable bag that is best for a medium sized DSLR and two lenses and some small items. But I have carried four lenses and my DSLR in this bag without a problem. What's so hard about removing ONE lens to get to another? In addition, if you want to carry more lenses without stacking in the bag or more "stuff" you can buy accessory bags that fit very nicely on the sides of the bag. I bought two accessories bagsone holds my flash, one holds my filters (if I decide I really need them and usually I don't)I could have alternatively bought two lens bags as side attachements to the bag. This bag has the capacity to "grow" with the ingenious use of accessory packs that fit very nicely. I think some reviewers are expecting too much for a $40 bag that is intended most of all for taking a minimal amount of equipment, on the go, very comfortably and very accessibly and they are overlooking the accessory system. If you want to take all your odds and ends, of course this isn't the bag for thatbuy a huge Tamrac Expedition 7 backpack-you'll be sweating and heaving within 5 minutes but you'll have all your stuff. Please Rate items for what they are intended for, not for what your dreams are and don't overlook the accessories that fit with this bag for more storage room. I love this bag and I think the craftsmanship is great for the price. I find of the four bags I have (all for different places, purposes), I use this one the most.

I find this sling pack to be great for "field use" of my D70 digi SLR. So, I can fit the D70 with 20-70 zoom attached, a 100-300 zoom, and 50 fixed in the bag. There's also a zippered side pocket, good for memory cards, small stuff. A flash would probably not fit well in the side pocket.

The sling design fits nicely on your back, ala fanny pack style. There is also a belt to secure the pack, if your riding a bike or something like that.

The top of the bag is easy-access, with a quick release clip. There are also two side clips that help secure the top flap as well.

I think this bag is great, I spent a lot of time trying other packs on and sizing them for my gear setup. IMHO, this pack is the perfect marriage of portability, comfort, and capacity.

FYI, Tamrac makes several other sizes of the Velocity, there is a bigger pack, as well as backpack style if you need to cart your entire studio around. :-)

I had a lot of trouble finding a bag that I felt suited my petite frame. I am 5',1" and 95 pounds and I am also rather fashion conscious. I was honestly going to give up on looking for a bag because they were all either 1) incredibly ugly or 2) too large or small for my equipment. I own a Canon 30D and a Canon 70-200mm USM L lens (and hopefully more lenses in the near future).

This Tamrac bag is very versatile. You can adjust the velcro pads as you wish and it fits my lens with body attached, with room to spare on the sides for extra lenses. The front pocket has adequate room for camera accessories like memory cards and batteries, but it is also doubles as space for personal items like keys, wallet, cell phone, etc. This is one of many features I like about this bag since it means not having to carry my purse in addition to my camera bag.

In addition, it's a decent-looking bag. It doesn't look like the monster large bags (or backpacks) that they normally have available. I like that it also doesn't look like a typical camera bag, making it rather inconspicuous. If you're carrying expensive equipment I don't think you really want the world to know anyway, or at least that's how I feel about it.

Another wonderful feature is that you have the option of swinging the bag from back to front, access your camera and equipment, all without taking the bag off.

The only complaint I have about it is that it doesn't distribute the weight as evenly as I thought it would. Well, either that or I am really just a whimp and can't carry a couple of pounds -which may very well be the case.

Overall it is a good camera bag that is decently sized, easy on the eyes, well-built and designed.

I received this as a gift and it's a great bag IF your equipment fits it. My camera (300D) and 3 lenses (70-300, 18-55, and 50) fit it PERFECT, not an ounce of wasted space, no matter which lense is on the camera. I love the one strap -slingstyle. It feels safe on my back and it's so easy to swing it to the front, get the camera out fast and get the shot. With the included waist strap I feel like I could do backflips on a trampoline and not even think about the $1000s of equipment on my back. It's a great bag. No, it doesn't have space to grow and grow with all your equipment for decades to come, but that's not what it's about. It's meant to be a trim, secure bag that can hold your dslr loaded with your long zoom lens. The only thing I would change, is that I would add in a full zipper front for loading and accessories a little easier.

Please, before choosing this one, check out the Lowepro SlingShot 100 All Weather Backpack. It's a similar design and given a 2nd chance I might choose it first. However, I still give this one a 4 out of 5 because it's really well made.

If you need to carry a decent sized SLR and a couple of lenses around for prolonged periods, then I would recommend you take a look at this bag.

I bought this bag for a one-week trip to Maui, figuring I'd want to have my D200 and a couple of lenses with me for a good part of the trip. The downside to renting an open-air Jeep was that I couldn't leave anything of value inside, so I ended up carrying my bag (literally) everywhere I went. Here's my take:

Good carrying capacity it comfortably held my Nikon D200 with a 18-70mm lens; a 12-24mm lens and either my 70-300mm lens or my SB-600 flash. There was also plenty of room in the front pocket for a spare battery, some memory cards, my wallet and cell phone.

Comfortable I agree with a previous reviewer that it did not distribute the load as well as I had anticipated, but so long as the bag was slung to the front, it was comfortable even on a 6-hour hike.

Rugged It kept all my gear safe and it wasn't damaged despite lots of brushing up against rocks, sand and trees.

Handy Out of all the different camera bags I've tried, this one made it the easiest to get to the camera and swap out lenses quickly.

The bag comes with an extra strap that can go around your waist, but I found this cumbersome and it made it a little harder to sling the bag around. That said, it folds up out of the way nicely so it is not an annoyance.

The net is this bag did everything I wanted it to do and it did it well. If you're looking to carry your SLR with a couple of lenses on long walks or hikes, then this is worth a good look.

Huge box, I use it for my DVX100B and all related film equipment. I could drop this thing from an overpass or use it for hand to hand combat and it would protect the cargo perfectly. Solid handle design will never break.

Pick and pluck foam is FANTASTIC! It's the next best thing to having an expensive custom cut. Be sure to use silk fabric between the foam and your expensive equipment, as the foam has tendency to flake off in very small pieces. Note: this is not a design flaw but the nature and density of the foam itself. Water resistant a plus, solid rubber seal compressed with solid case latches, however, the wife looked at me funny when I went to give the case a bath... could I blame her?

Pelicans seem to be worth the extra 30 bucks and (hey look) made in the USA so the polymers won't degrade, weaken and crack after two years. Fine job I will be getting more for my permanent storage items I no longer wish to keep in wobbly Tupperware muy Grande.

Needed a good case for storing fragile eyepieces and other optical gear for a telescope, this did the job to a tee... now I can give those components the "drop test" and they'll survive, AND I now have a convenient way to store a dozen little breakable odds and ends. Inside there are two layers of the "pluck" foam, enabling you to create deep and shallow compartments.

For those who need the detail -I wondered when I bought this -the actual useful dimensions, when you take out the top, bottom and side padding is 18 inches across, 12.5 inches front to back and 5.25 inches top to bottom.

Measured the case twice and it is on the ragged edge of carryon size limits.If you just measure the case it is fine,but Do they count the ridges and latches area?

Time will tell but it may have been a better idea to buy the next smaller case if you want to be sure.

Overall I am very happy with this case, it is very high quality leather, handmade, fits the camera perfectly (you must have the Leica hand grip attached to the camera) and protects the camera well when tossing it in a travel bag. My only dissatisfaction with the case is that the cover is not easily detachable from the case (it folds down, but does not detach easily), which can be a bit awkward if you are trying to take a picture with the case and cover attached, but this just takes some getting used too. If you have a D-LUX 5 and the hand grip attachment and want a Leica brand case then you will be happy with this purchase.

In regards to the other review from J Gaines I believe he did not have the hand grip, which means this case will not fit the camera, so he is correct that the screw casing will not line up and this case would be worthless, only buy this case if you plan on using the Leica hand grip attachment. If you do not want to buy/use the hand grip then Leica offers two other leather cases (case and pouch) that will fit the camera, these two cases only fit the D-LUX 5 if you are not using the hand grip, so it's all a bit confusing and Leica and other vendors don't make this clear or provide much information when buying a case for your camera.

Beautiful, expensive leather case is not designed to fit the D-Lux 5. Bottom case screw will not line up with tripod socket of the camera and there is no way to make it do that short of completely rebuilding the case. This camera really needs a functional ever-ready case and this could have done the job if it had been made right. I just finished packing up this worthless junk and will send it back to Amazon on Monday. Leica once made quality accessory items.

I can't give a long-term review on this product, but I just got it a couple of days ago and while the camera fits perfectly and it will no doubt protect it from damage, one of the zipper pulls has already broken off (just by trying to zip it up). I would send it back, but since it only cost $12, and since there's another zipper tab (kind of like a suitcase where you can zip from either end), I'll keep it. Overall the best looking case and protection for your camera for the small price.

I bought a Sony DSC-HX30V around Christmas time and needed a case to go with it. This has proven to be a great product as this fits my camera and a couple of small accessories very nicely. I can even stash a few dollars and ID/license in and use it as a "purse". The straps are adjustable and can be extended to wear cross-body or shortened to quickly throw it over the shoulder or, it can be removed altogether and the case can be tucked into a larger bag. Additionally, the case is not a hard plastic, but it's somewhat firm. I've not dropped my camera while using this case, but it seems like it would provide some protection if I happen to. Great buy!!

The shell is sturdy and the outer material seems to be of high quality and water proof (though I haven't tested it in water yet :) ).

The back side of the shell has a soft interior which prevents mild strokes damages, but the front side of the shell lacks softness and I'm worried about it.

Also despite there is a little space in the inner front side to put extra stuff in, but as I said previously, lack of soft material makes it even more risky for the camera in case of collapsing on the front side.

I hadn't found a better option at the time of purchase, so I've to stick to this for now.

I purchased the AW10 for the Canon SD850 and it fits snug, but I'm not forcing it. An earlier reviewer thought the AW10 was too small, but I think it's just right. Make sure the front of the camera faces the front of the case, handstrap on top. This allows for a better fit.

What's special about this case is the built in cover. The cover is attached and stuffed into a compartment in the back of the case. You can't lose it and it offers protection against the elements. I still wouldn't want to be exposed to a downpour, but a light rain or mist should not be a problem.

My only nit-pick is that it has only one zipper. On a different Lowepro case that I used with a Canon A85, it had two zippers. The advantage was that I would keep the handstrap outside the case and have the zippers meet the handstrap.

This is a great case, as I would expect from Lowepro. Unfortunately, although the Lowepro website indicated that it would fit my Canon SD870IS, I had to really force the camera to make it fit. If you have an SD870IS, go with the larger Apex 20 AW. I got the larger case and am very satisfied!

If you're looking for an inconspicuous way to carry your camera gear, the F-800 line has your bag. They have the same gadgets and customizable camera storage systems you would expect in any other camera bag, but they hide it all behind the charming low-key style of an everyday canvas satchel. They're well made, well organized, and they look better than anything else on the market. This large size F-833, however, might be a little too big. I haven't seen the small and medium (F-831 and F-832 respectively) in person, but I can say from experience that the large (F-833) is ridiculously big. It can hold and organize a stunning amount of stuff, but it looks awkward when you put it on. The point of a messenger style bag is so you can casually walk down the street carrying thousands of dollars in camera equipment without anyone knowing. Then, if you want to take a picture you can spin the bag in front of you, whip it open and grab your camera. Because of its absurdly large size however, spinning a loaded F-833 is out of the question, and finding your camera amongst your 5 lenses, two flashes, and every other nicknack will take a decade. (Paradoxically, if you don't have the F-833 fully loaded, finding your camera isn't any easier since you'll have to search through a pile of excessive padding.) The messenger style is way better suited for carrying an afternoon's worth of shooting stuff, not your whole collection. If you need to carry the amount of stuff this bag can hold then you probably shouldnt get this bag. A backpack will handle the weight of all that equipment much more gracefully.

This case is durable, solid and well padded for the samsung digital camcorder I bought. The samsung digital uses the sd cards. There is a flat piece you can pull out from inside the case that has small pockets to hold the media cards. The camera, which is barrel shaped and compact, takes up most of the space inside. There is no space left for the electric cord needed to recharge the camera. I could cram the cord and large plug in the bag on top of the camera, but I would certainly scratch the camera. Perhaps if I were to use an old sport sock and shove the cord in the sock and the sock in the case that would work. Not the classiest of solutions, but something to ponder. If you can use your electric cord for a belt or necktie, this is a great case. If you can go without your electric cord, again an awesome case...Definately a compact case...

Case Logic makes some of the best cases on the market. It could use an additional outside pocket but it is still a fantastic case. It is padded sufficiently to protect your electronic gear. It is soft but will not loose its shape due to the unique construction. If you find the size you need you may want to consider case logic.

This Think Tank bag is perfect for my needs. Like many, I have a number of camera bags, but this is the one I turn to again and again. Perfectly compact, but also perfectly roomy for my needs. D7000, flash or two, 70-200 and an extra lens work great and I have room to add some extras as well. You have to get the low dividers in order to place additional items in the bag, i.e., your trip notebook, your iPad, etc. I personally think the low dividers should be the standard.

The picture for this case is a different color than what you get. It's a nice case it just isn't the right color. I bought this for my mom as a Christmas present to match her camera that is the same color as the case in the picture then when I got the case in the mail it is very very light pink not as shown. I waited for this case to be released before buying one for my fantastic new Canon SX210is. I looked at a number of others and just wanted one that was made by Canon specifically for this camera. The PSC-3100, which is made for the SX200is is just too big and the camera wobbles around too much with that one.

My 210is fits perfectly in this one and the quality is top notch. It does have a belt loop and also has a hole in the top to feed the wrist strap through. I couldn't be happier with it and am happy you can finally buy it! If you head over to J&R photo they have a picture of it btw... Amazon didn't have one up yet when I wrote this. (I have since posted some pictures...)

Keep in mind that you won't fit anything else in this case. There isn't room for a spare battery or SD card. It would have been nice if they had put a little pocket in the bottom or something to hold these items. However, it doesn't bother me as an SD card and spare battery for the SX210is will easily fit in a coin pocket...

EDIT: It looks like Amazon has posted an incorrect picture for this case??? I posted some shots I took of the case I received as well as pictures of the box that it came in. Maybe Canon changed the style of the case, who knows. Another customer posted a review here and stated he got the same one that I did, the one that I posted pictures of. He then states that Amazon corrected the picture on July 4 but as of today the picture of a different case is back up.

If you really care how the camera sits in the case I would suggest heading over to J&R Photo and checking out their pictures. I love the case I received but I really don't think I would have minded if I got the "other one."

Received the PSC-3200 on 12/10/2010. The case is a perfect fit for the S95. Holds only the camera. There are no storage slots for anything else. The magnetic cover catch has a button that goes in a depression so the catch stays in place. Not sure why you'd want to put the strap through the hole in case cover. Very happy with the case.

This is a very simple, elegant camera case if you are looking for something to protect your camera in your bag or purse without taking up too much space.

Be aware, however, that this case will not fit the Canon PowerShot SX230HS 12.1 MP Digital Camera with HS SYSTEM and DIGIC 4 Image Processor, 14x optical zoom (Black). Even Canon's website will promote this case as the one compatible with the SX230, but the camera is too bulky to fit all the way in the case.

This is a lovely and durable little protective case to throw in your bag or wear on your belt. I think the comment about inconsistent sizing must be on target. Mine came with my SX260 and fits perfectly. Here's the deal: The Canon S100 will slide in very easily and snugly into this case. Problem is that the case does not let you pry out the camera so readily. There are two solutions: First is to use the camera strap to pull it out comes out without a hitch. If your camera has the strap you will have no problem at all. Another option is to squish the sides so that the cardboard reinforcement buckles and gives more room for the camera to slip in and out. This is not nearly as bad as it sounds. The cardboard reinforcement inside the leather sides really is not there to protect the camera, it just helps the case keep its shape. The case's shape and functionality hardly suffers from this treatment, IMHO. Once you do this the case works fine. I carry two belt cases on occasion so the vertical orientation suits me better than the official S90 PSC 900 case.

I compared this case to the PSC 55 which works so well for my Canon SD870IS. The reason why the PSC 55 works well is that it has sloped openings on the top of the sides that allow you to pinch the camera's top and bottom to pull it out. This one does not. If you don't use a camera strap then you will have to put the camera in control-side-first. Otherwise you will end up pressing the camera's controls when trying to pull it out. Four stars because this limitation would affect an S90 too, which the case is advertised for.
