We were after a good strong bag that wasn't too bulky to hold a camera and extra lenses while hiking. This bag certainly fits the bill in terms of quality and a range of zippered pockets for holding all sorts of things things. What isn't so clear--and it could be just us--is exactly where your SLR is meant to be stashed. The largest interior pocket has two lens holders on either side of the pocket, against the edges, which leaves a sort of "T" space in the remainder of the pocket. If you place the camera in this "T" with the lens pointing down into the long leg of the "T" if kinda sorta fits, but it isn't ideal. I'd been expecting a proper padded compartment for storing the camera in this bag, but it's just not there.

Little smaller than Lowepro 200 (which is $15-$20 more than this) but easily accomodate a SLR kit. I've packed following in my Lowepro 100 :

Canon 10D body with 17-40mm f/4 L lens attached

Canon 420EX Flash

Canon 55-200mm USM lens

Canon 50mm f/1.8 prime lens

Some more small stuffs like Omini bounce , charger

Apart from this you could keep all you flash cards , wires in the front zip.

Sorry but you can't accomodate any more stuffs in the bag. If you have more lenses or body then you should go for Lowepro 200. But I belive most of the ametures use to have a body + 2lenses+ Flash. This bag should be perfect for that.

I bought this to carry my DLSR and a tele lens, and the usual accessory stuff. I wanted to keep it small and minimal for day hikes and this one does that very well. It's very well made and fits everything nicely and I would be completely happy with it but for one thing for us big folks (I'm 6' 3"), the pack just doesn't fit well. I can't use the chest strap (which I really need for the hiking bit) because the bag tends to ride lower on the back for me, and that puts the chest strap at my neck. The lower waist strap is just not useful for me for the same reason.

Overall, I would recommend this bag for a normalor smaller-sized person for the above reasons. The features and quality easily make it a "5" rating, and it absolutely fits what it says it does. But I'll probably have to look for a larger bag just to fit my frame even though I don't need the room.

I strongly recommend this Lowepro high quality product.

After I put my Canon EOS 20d with a 70-300mm lens on it, there is room for 3 medium sized lenses. (Alternative combinations are possible such as two lenses and a flash, or another SLR body and two lenses.) There are also small pockets which are good for memory cards, manuals etc.

It provides cushion with enough padding. It is comfortable to carry on your back.

I bought this bag in January 2007, when I was in Las Vegas. I paid $69.99 for it, so it's considerably cheaper on Amazon. Since then I have taken it halfway around the world and is now used in Iraq, which is a great place to test durability on about anything, as the dust here is legendary.

I bought this one because it is small, and has just enough room to fit my Canon Digital Rebel XTi, as well as a wide angle and telephoto lense with no problem. There's still room for at least one more lense and a small flash, if I choose.

This unit also has numerous pockets for CF card and battery storage and all the inside compartments are velcro, so they can be adjusted to suit any camera or user. I keep the lense part of the camera bay long so no matter what lense is on the camera, I can put it away quickly.

The outside of the bag is water repellent, although I haven't tested the effectiveness of that yet. I'm from the Northwest, so I'll get plenty of chances when I return from Iraq.

Another review mentioned the chest strap almost being a neck strap...I can see that, as it does ride high. It is somewhat adjustable though, although their range of adjustment really should have taken it lower down the straps. I adjusted mine all the way down and it made it better.

All in all, I highly recommend this camera backpack. I've had a few Lowepro products before, and they are normally very well thought out and made with very good quality.

This case is perfect for my Cybershot DSC T5 or any similar sized camera. My camera fits snug and it's the least bulky case I've come across. It even got a place for me to for an additional memory card or battery. This poses an excellent feature to me.

Both the back and the front of this small case are designed with a hard stiff front and back designed to protect the LCD monitor. It provides plenty of protection to my camear. It even comes with screen protector. What else can I ask for?

I purchased this case knowing it was a hard case, but I honestly just liked the color! I had recently purchased the "pink" Sony Cyber-shot camera. The case is a beautiful pink color and is very hard and durable. The case, if dirty, can wipe clean. The inside has a restraint strap so your camera isn't bouncing around in the case, and a little net pocket for supplies.

Beware. I bought this case because it advertised that it held the camera and had a pocket for extra battery or memory card. Well, if you open the camera case the extra battery falls out. There is no way that the pocket could be intended for a battery or a memory card. It is very large and it doesn't hold it in at all. It seems sturdy enough and my camera fits fine. You'd have to be crazy to think this was a safe way to keep your memory card or very expensive battery safe. Premium case, I think not!

Works great for my Cybershot. Slim, cute, offers good protection.

Doesn't afford a lot of extra room for anything else in the case though, even though there is a small pocket on the inside. Can fit memory cards and such but I tried putting the sync cable in there and it wouldn't zip up.

Cheap Lowepro Apex 10 AW (Arctic Blue)

I purchased the AW10 for the Canon SD850 and it fits snug, but I'm not forcing it. An earlier reviewer thought the AW10 was too small, but I think it's just right. Make sure the front of the camera faces the front of the case, handstrap on top. This allows for a better fit.

What's special about this case is the built in cover. The cover is attached and stuffed into a compartment in the back of the case. You can't lose it and it offers protection against the elements. I still wouldn't want to be exposed to a downpour, but a light rain or mist should not be a problem.

My only nit-pick is that it has only one zipper. On a different Lowepro case that I used with a Canon A85, it had two zippers. The advantage was that I would keep the handstrap outside the case and have the zippers meet the handstrap.

This is a great case, as I would expect from Lowepro. Unfortunately, although the Lowepro website indicated that it would fit my Canon SD870IS, I had to really force the camera to make it fit. If you have an SD870IS, go with the larger Apex 20 AW. I got the larger case and am very satisfied!

The case seems fine, well made, with a smooth zipper. But the Canon Powershot A570IS doesn't fit. It almost fits, and could probably be forced in, but I'm afraid to smash the shutter release hard enough to find out and I'm certain my 10-year old couldn't make it fit.

I was looking for a compact case for the Canon S90. I was hoping for a belt loop (with "quick release" -so that I wouldn't have to take off my belt to remove the case), a snug (but not overly restrictive) fit, waterproofedness, and a small overall size. I had considered several options, including Kata, Lowepro, Mountainsmith, and Case Logic cases, but ultimately found this one to be the smallest one that still fit my requirements (at the time -note that my purchase was in 2009). I posted a review of this case on POTN, but I'm not sure if I can post a link here. Comment below if you want more details, or Google "tenba mixx s90 tigerotor77w."

Pros:

+ Compact size overall. It'll fit comfortably in a jacket pocket.

+ Keeps the S90 secure. With a velcro flap and an elastic "lip" around the top, the S90 falling out isn't very likely.

+ Construction is excellent. No frayed threads, secure velcro, solid-sounding clasps for the belt-loop.

+ Room for an extra battery or memory card.

+ Integrates well with my Tenba Messenger via the belt loop.

+ Matches all my requirements (see second sentence of review)

Cons:

A little bit squarer than it is rectangular, so there is some extra room in the sleeve holding the S90. The case is thus also slightly larger than it "needs" to be for this camera.

The elastic isn't "tight," but it does constrict the opening of the case enough that you won't be able to "quick draw" the S90. A snug fit has its disadvantages, too.

Overall, I'm very pleased with the case. I admit that I tend to use an Oakley microfiber bag instead of this one most of the time (for jeans pocket carry), but any time I plan to go on an extended outing (hiking, say, or if I want to leave the camera in a work bag for just-in-case shots), I've been using this one. Definitely a solid choice!

I was shocked when th Camera pouch arrived. I guess I should have paid more attention to the size!! Product Dimensions: 1.2 x 4.2 x 3.2 inches. It's barely big enough to get my car key and car door lock remote in. I have never seen a camera small enough to fit into this case, although I'm sure they must make one out there that would!

It looks to be of reasonable quality of a nylon type fabric with velcro closure.

The camera bag I got with the "kit" had a large open area, great for camera and lenses to bang against each other. I did a little research and found this bag for a "compact SLR" and it was exactly the right solution for my entire outfit (NEX-5N, 16mm with 12mm wide angle adapter, 18-200 zoom, electronic viewfinder, extra battery). It comes with various color bands (I choose black, but now wish I had selected a red or something... sigh). Handy carry handle and strap (strap folds inside if you want to carry by the handle.

And, each item is in its own padded compartment. Just what the doctor ordered!

Bought this bag to have something spacious and nice looking for my Panasonic GF3. I can fit everything I need in here to include the camera with lens attached, extra zoom lens, 2 filters with cases, lens hood, lens cleaning kit, various cables, extra memory cards, and I still have a fair amount of room to spare. Shoulder strap is nice with non slip coating so it stays put. Bag looks great without screaming "I have expensive gear in this bag", would pass as a regular man-bag, not that I carry one normally. Quality is great, feels durable and well-made, should last as long as you need it to.

sturdy case, looks slick and is very functional. I use it with a casi exilim 10Mpx and if fits pretty tight vertically and has extra space horizontaly as it was not designed specifically for that camera, but is thebest case I have seen so far... easy to carry with you. It does have, however a metallic plate for the manufacturers logo and includes a couple ribbets kinda sticking inside (covered with fuzzy fabric), so Im just very carefulll to not let my delicate screen touch that side of the case and turn it back to it.

Bought this case for my newly acquired Panasonic Lumix ZS-19 since it was relatively cheap and looked like the real deal. I received the case and it looks exactly like pictured. Its exterior is pliable yet rugged enough to have been dropped and still protect your investment. The inside is separated into 4 suede-like drawers that opens up fan-style with the case. Two smaller ones are on the inside of the case with bigger ones on the outer part. The inner drawers are nice for accessories like sd-cards or even credit cards if you wish to bring this case as your wallet.

As for the fit, the camera is snug in either outer drawer with a little wiggle room for some cameras that are slightly bigger. Note that this will fit the ZS-20 as well since these are basically the same camera.

Overall, this case is a great buy for those cameras with similar dimensions and I highly recommend it to anyone in need of a case for their ZS-19/20. Looks legit and is listed at a great price.

bought this for our daughter, who lives half the year in Borneo as a research scientist. it's great! maybe we won't have to replace her camera as often...? it's easy enough for her to open, but a little complex for the orangutans who often hitch piggy back rides to figure out quickly (they do so love cameras, and do have opposable digits...). think I'll get one for myself.

I bought this case for my Canon 230Sx camera. It seems like such a sturdy little case and it's compact size is great to fit in your purse, pocket, etc. The trade-off however it it's snug interior. The velcro retention strap is barely big enough and I think messing around with getting the camera in and out of it will be more hassle than I want to deal with. Unfortunately I am going to return it. If you're not an impatient person, or if your camera is a tiny bit smaller, I would certainly recommend the case. The zipper, construction etc seems to be better quality than the others I've seen.

I've had this for over a year now and it has never let me down. I like how the inside moulded to the shape of my camera and was snug enough that--over the year of backpacking across Europe, going to university in a new country, and more than a few "outdoorsy" trips--this case has held up amazingly. I've climbed Mont Blanc with this thing attached with a carabiner to my CamelBak and it never fell off or ripped anywhere. The seems are strong, the zipper is sturdy, and the little pocket inside for an extra memory card and battery is nice too. Overall, I got exactly what I paid for and, all this time later, though it may be a bit scuffed, I still happy with this case.

Good camera case. I like that it is is stiff and feel that it will actually protect my camera. It just barely fits the SX230 though. I cut out the velcro strap for holding the camera in place because it wasn't quite long enough to go around the camera. If I had a slightly smaller camera, I would rate it much higher. Also, the mesh pocket doesn't do a very good job of holding in spare memory cards, but that isn't a big deal to me.

Overall: Good case. The SX230 fits, but just barely. It is a really snug fit. Some people may say it is too snug.

Discount Lowepro Napoli 30 Camera Case (Black)

I've had this case for a while now, and I really like it. The build quality is high, the leather is very nice (with one exception), and it's a perfect fit for my Sony HX30V and RX100 cameras. I'm sure you could get a Canon S90 or S100 to fit easily, but my Olympus XZ-1 was much too tight even with the lens cap removed.

Embossed in the leather is a small, classy Lowepro emblem. The case is semi-hard on the front, back, and bottom, with soft leather on the sides. Supple suede leather lines the padded interior, along with a small soft nylon sleeve just large enough for two SD cards to sit side by side.

I'm not a fan of zipper tops (too long to whip out and get a shot) or velcro (too noisy, I prefer stealth for better candid shots), so it's nice to have the magnetic enclosure. It's secure enough to go jogging without worrying that the camera will escape. Yes, I really do go jogging with my camera sometimes.

I wear this on my belt every day, and the belt loop has stretched a little bit, but not so that it's a problem. Also, it's not weather proof, or dust proof, so the camera will get wet in the rain (unless you pull your jacket down over it, which is easy to do given it's small size) and your camera will get a little dusty due to the small openings on the sides near the top. It's nice enough to wear to the office, however, not so nice that it draws attention in casual settings. I have accidentally dropped my HX30V from about three feet up onto tiled flooring, and thankfully it did protect my camera. The soft interior suede, and the silky feeling nylon sleeve have been trouble free, but I did rip out the nylon model tag because I have had issues with those marring the screen in other cases.

The only issue I have with this case (and what kept it from 5 stars) is the small black suede leather panel on the right side of the front face. It gets marred quickly and easily. Between the belt buckle in the car, numerous office chair backs, a ferrel cat clawing it's way up the right side of my body, small children attacking me with whiffle ball bats, and the occasional twig, branches, and bushes on the trail, it's pretty much done. What's nice is that it's almost completely worn the suede texture off, and it looks more like a duller panel of smooth leather now. It's not like anyone has looked at the case and gasped or anything, but it is easily noticeable. What is delightfully surprising is that the rest of the leather on the case is completely unscathed. This wouldn't prevent me from making the purchase again, or recommending it to a friend, but seriously Lowepro, lose that panel, and you have a 5 star case in your lineup.

Fits my Sony RX100 very well. The magnet flap holder is much nicer than velcro and works quite well when the case is attached to your belt. I'm subtracting a point for its weak styling.

This case was too small to fit the Lumix dmc-lx5 as suggested in one of the reviews here. Kata DF-408 DPS works much better.
