Well the item looks exactly in person as it does in the picture. My Samsung TL220 camera fits snuggly in the case with no extra unwanted space for my camera to move around in. I have only had this product for a short time but really like this hard shell carrying case moreso than the nylon-type cases. Favorable points for me are the velcro strap inside the case to secure the camera & also the pocket in which I can carry an extra battery or memory card.

The interior isn't as soft as you might expect, and it isn't overpadded either. The foam interior is quite firm, in fact. There's also a fair amount of empty space inside, so if your item is a bit smaller than the interior it will actually "rattle around" a bit. I decided not to use it with my new camera. Unzipping it isn't totally smooth and there's a reasonable chance of fumbling the camera while opening the "clam-shell" case. This has more to do with the design concept than the construction. Better to have a case where you reach in and actually grab the camera or strap before it's out of the case. This one is an accident waiting to happen.

Cost most of the purchase price to send it back, so I kept it to organize other small items.

Tamrac is to camera bags what Hasselblad is to cameras. In other words, Tamrac is the cream of the crop for equipment storage and protection. The quality worksmanship they put into their products is exceptional, and this camera bag is no exception. It is rugged and durable with plenty of storage space for the essential gear needed for a short outing such as a day trip, making it an excellent alternative to lugging around my heavy Tamrac 5612 when the extra gear isn't needed. The thick padding holds everything securely and keeps items safe from accidental bumps and jarring. The shoulder strap has a good adjustment range and is comfortable to use even for extended periods. Put bluntly, these bags are designed to be comfortable to carry, convenient to use, and durable enough to last a lifetime.

The exterior fabric does a fair job of protecting everything from the elements, but it's best to spray the bag's exterior every couple of months with a quality water repellant spray such as that used for tents and other camping gear. This is a good practice for any fabric camera bag by any maker, not just this specific model.

As someone who is new to photography, this bag came with a digital SLR I bought used. I am so impressed with the quality and versitility that I would recommend it to anyone. I seem to have plenty of room to put my goodies in for now, and some space to grow as I acquire new lenses. I find it easy to grab the camera quickly out of the bag when needed. This is great when timing is everything, as it often is with photography.

I purchased this bag to hold my Nikon D3100 camera and extra lenses. It works great! I have two extra lenses and an external flash in it with the camera and lens and there is still room for more! It's light weight and has a great padded strap so when I carry it to events, it's not a burden. The dividers are movable so you can customize them to fit your equipment. I love all the pockets so I can easily find all my accessories! I highly recommend this bag!

I ordered this case based on the photos and dimensions on Amazon. When it arrived I was very happy with the look and build quality, but annoyed by the elastic "turtleneck" at the top of the case that is meant to hold the camera securely in place. This feature would be great, except it makes it difficult to get my Canon SD870IS into the case. If I try to slide my camera into the case it catches on the elastic and will not go in. I have to physically hold the elastic open and then slide the camera in, and this sometimes takes 2 or 3 attempts to get the camera in. Because of this annoying feature I am rating this case 3 stars.

I agree with everything in the post below. The solution to the "turtleneck" is very simple, though. Make a small cut with a scissors where the elastic band is.......making sure not to cut the band. Pull the band through the slit, cut it, and pull the band out. The case looks just as how it did, but without the obtrusiveness. 5 stars now.

Haven't really gotten to put this case through it's paces yet, but I LOVE the design! Fit the Cybershot TX-20 along with 2 extra batteries and an extra SD card or two. Has a Velcro flap to keep it closed even if the zipper gets unzipped. The double zipper design is safe and the case opens into a folio design with a double pocket (one for camera and one for access.), so the camera won't fall out as with some other zippered cases. Has a thin strap, but seems constructed well with rotating clips. The TX-20 is supposed to be shockproof, but with the added shock resistance of this case, hopefully we won't have to test that out. :)

I have several cameras that this works with, but it is snug if you have the elongated Canon or Sony cameras. But they fit well, have a shoulder strap that removes from the inner case (during shipping) and then can be attached to the outer snaps. This is your best protection if you were to drop your camera or while traveling . Nice !

I got this pack because we were about to go to Glacier National Park and do a good bit of day-hiking. We hiked a total of about 30 miles during the week we were there, and I used the pack for all of it. I loved it! It is big enough for what I needed but not too big for my small frame. I had tried an over the shoulder sling because of the side access, but that was too much weight on one shoulder. This pack worked well because it was comfortable on both shoulders, but by quickly slipping it off one shoulder, I could easily access my camera from the side entry pocket. I haven't used it without the middle divider, but I think that is a great feature for some instances. My only wish is that the divider could be adjusted up or down a little more to make the bottom or top a different size instead of just taking it out all together. But I love the pack and would highly recommend it!

First, let's describe what kinds of things i keep in my camera case.

I have my nikon d5100 and four lenses (18-55, 55-200, 50 prime pancake, and 10-20mm), two hotshoe off camera flashes, a flash sync cable, a ring light, a 5 in 1 reflector, multiple memory cards, three extra batteries for my camera, an extra set of batteries for my flash, a few filters in 52mm and 77mm, my battery charger for my camera, a three set of lens pens, a tide pen, a spray neosporin, hand sanitizer, 2 head lamps, a video light, a small flash light, a shutter sync cable, a wireless remote, and a few other small things are all kept in my camera case. This is almost all of my equipment. If found myself needing less equipment and more room, i'd leave out one of my flashes.

As an adventure girl, I tend to want to carry my gear into some tight places. Knowing full well how difficult it is to carry a vintage train case full of gear, which i had been doing, I decided to go and finally get a camera backpack.

I was hesitant to carry a camera bag with a brand name on it, and I didn't want to worry about not bringing all of my stuff when i needed it, but i knew i was going to go into caves where there would be a lot of crawling into tight places. As I prepared for this trip, I tried to remember everything i would need, and hope i had enough with me for some decent pictures.

Well, this was perfect. Other people crawling into this cave had brought bigger cameras, but mine, well I could push it ahead of me when i had to go some place really tight, but for the most part, it was always on my back. Nothing got scraped up, and everything was safe, even though i had my bag packed really tightly and I was banging into a lot of ceilings.

I'd recommend this for any other photo adventurer. You can fit a lot of stuff in here and still zip it up and count on it being safe. Would buy again in a heart beat.
