Well the item looks exactly in person as it does in the picture. My Samsung TL220 camera fits snuggly in the case with no extra unwanted space for my camera to move around in. I hate to rip on items, but this bag is awful. I wound up giving it away for nothing and buying a much nicer bag for less.

Disregard the picture, this bag is not the well-constructed, rugged leather bag you think you see. It's light, flimsy and feels very cheap.

The worst part is the main zipper that (allegedly) holds this bag closed, supposedly securing your valuable camera. I had this bag less than ONE week before the zipper quit holding. You know the deal, the teeth come apart and the zipper is hopelessly stuck in the middle. Tug it back and try again, same thing. Why, why, why do companies make products this poorly???

Stay far away from this bag. I hate to give this type of review, but I got burned on this one. Don't make the same mistake.

I got this bag free with a purchase of something from Ebay almost two years ago. As for construction quality, it feels really cheap. The 'pleather' its made of is extremely thin and ripable. This is a good thing sometimes, though as the bag will readily fold up for easy storage. Within two months of carrying the bag, the part where the handles connected to the top of the bag ripped. They were still connected at the sides, but it was a very unsightly thing. There's almost no padding in the bag, so I took out the dividers and laid them on the bottom for padding.

Having said this, the bag did do the job, and do it well for two years. It carried the following:

Nikon D90 gripped

Nikon 50mm F/1.8

Nikon 70-300 F/4-5.6G

Sigma 105mm F/2.8 Macro

Sigma 10-20 F/4-5.6

Nikon 20-80 F/3.3-5.6 in side pocket

Nikon SB-600 in front pocket

Card Reader, 67mm CPOL filter in other side pocket

So it carried quite a lot while it lasted. It was insanely easy to carry around and the top pocket made for easy access to camera goods. Unfortunately, my equipment has grown too extensive to fit in this bag (and one of the straps on the sling strap broke =/), so I have to get a new one. Ive had a larger, professional bag while I had this one andn chose to carry this one because it was so easily portable and accessable. Be warned, though. If you dont really baby your equipment, this one might not last you too long. Just dont go throwing knives and razors at it and it should do the job quite nicely.

I don't understand why people give this case bad reviews. I have two large slr camerasa Nikon d70 and a Fuji S2 pro. I bought one for the Fuji and liked it so much , I bought another for the Nikon. You don't pay 10 to 20 dollars for a plastic case and expect it to last forever. I take care of my cases and they work fine for me. If you want durability, pay 50 to 100 dollars for a leather case.

I've had this bag for three or 4 years. It was fine for a while, but the materials are actually quite shoddy. It recently started to fall apart. The webbing and handle has shredded and I'll have to buy a new case.

I have used this bag frequently for the last 4 years: S1 to S5 Canon camera + batteries + wallet + PDA + passport = everything I need fits in it, without being too big of a bag. Now its time to buy a new one because the band is starting to fall off. But, hey for 4 years (!) is not that bad.

I hope that the bag is nowadays still the same quality.

I have never had any other bag for my camera, so can't really compare it with other bags.

For a few bucks I am buying it again.

This case is durable, solid and well padded for the samsung digital camcorder I bought. The samsung digital uses the sd cards. There is a flat piece you can pull out from inside the case that has small pockets to hold the media cards. The camera, which is barrel shaped and compact, takes up most of the space inside. There is no space left for the electric cord needed to recharge the camera. I could cram the cord and large plug in the bag on top of the camera, but I would certainly scratch the camera. Perhaps if I were to use an old sport sock and shove the cord in the sock and the sock in the case that would work. Not the classiest of solutions, but something to ponder. If you can use your electric cord for a belt or necktie, this is a great case. If you can go without your electric cord, again an awesome case...Definately a compact case...

Case Logic makes some of the best cases on the market. It could use an additional outside pocket but it is still a fantastic case. It is padded sufficiently to protect your electronic gear. It is soft but will not loose its shape due to the unique construction. If you find the size you need you may want to consider case logic.

I use it to carry my Sony RX100 in my purse. There is probably only 1/4" spare room on the side. I have a wrist strap attached to the camera. Any 'improvements' would detract from the simplicity. The magnetic catch is probably my favorite feature.

I wanted a small belt case for my RX100, and picked this one for the following reasons:

* Neoprene provided good padding-to-bulk ratio.

* Magnetic closure magnets do not break.

* Small profile

So what's wrong?

* It's a little wider than necessary for the RX100. There's not much wasted space inside, but fat seams around add bulk.

* Belt loop (sewn in) only fits narrow belts. No wider than average belt would fit it.

* No side protection. Only some elastic to keep the camera in place.

* The magnet is a bit weaker than I'd hoped, although it works.

It's a good case if you want to toss the camera in your purse or backpack.

Standalone it works, but could be better.

It fits the camera like a glove and closes with a magnet. The back has a belt loop which is so tight it can be used as a horizontal battery pocket, especially if I sew one side shut (though I might not even bother).

Got this for about $20 and happy with the price and size of the bag. Beats paying over $60 for a Canon or other branded bag. Cushion is decent, don't throw your bag around and you will be fine.

This turned out to be quite a bit bigger than I had expected. I can cram 2 lenses, hoods, 4 spare batteries, Canon T2i (550D) camera body with battery grip, spare filter pack, and more, and still have tons of extra space.

The bag is made out of a fine nylon, kind of like a seat belt material, with layers to protect the interior from moisture. A strong clipped shoulder strap is also included, so you can lash it on with no worries and go out after the shot. Beats the bag Best Buy tried to sell me for $100!

I can't find a SINGLE THING to say about this bag aside from the fact it wasn't free!

I purchased this several months ago and I'm just now getting around to posting a review. When I first received this bag, from the outer looks and feel of it, it was perfect, just what i was looking for and AT THAT TIME the only thing that could have made it better is for it to have had a hard, drop proof outter shell, however, for what i bought, i was satisfied. But, sadly, that very quickly changed. after about the 20 times of zipping and unzipping (normal average use for photoshoots, NOT just zipping and unzipping over and over again just to be doing so) the main opening zipper, the fabric (satin type material) started tearing and fraying away from the zipper and has just continue to do so even though I baby that area and take very gentle precautions when using opening/closing the case. The main zipper itself is in okay shape since the fabric tore but seems a little wonky now, but still zips and unzips okay at this point. That is seriously my only complaint, however, i didn't even want to give it two stars but "one star" represents "hating" the product as a whole...I don't hate this product, i do hate however that it was poorly made in that area that covers your gear. There is no need really for me to even have the zipper on there now because that satin material just keeps getting worse and is now just an ugly eye sore every time i open my bag. This bag, other than my complaint is awesome for the price, it's roomy enough to hold a canon t2i with battery grip attatched, strap, a 50mm prime lens, an 85mm prime lens, an 18-270mm zoom lens, 2 speedlights, wireless remote, 6 memory cards, 20+ AA batteries, plastic diffuser for speedlites, boxed diffuser for on camera flash, several snap on colored diffusers/bouncers for on camera flash, 3 lens hoods and probably a few more little things i could get in there....it's roomy, you can adjust the size of each compartment due to the removable padding with attached velcro...two nice (fairly deep but could be deeper) side pockets, on the front of the bag another zippered compartment that is almost the whole length of the bag itself, a little shallow in depth but very useful. If it weren't for the fact that my material worked loose, frayed and started tearing (and continues to do so)on top of the bag, then this would have gotten a 5 star rating. I still use this bag, as I don't have room in my hard shell (briefcase type) polaroid brand case. I THINK I'm gonna try a fabric type glue or fray stop liquid or even clear fingernail polish in hopes it won't fray and tear anymore....the strap is awesome as well, very sturdy and makes my equipent feel safe when carrying it on my shoulder like a purse. I would recommend anyone getting this bag as a cheap alternative to a more expensive name brand bag and maybe get you some fabric stiffener type stuff (spray or liquid) and "treat" the thin, flimsy satin type material that covers your gear ..let that dry and use a few coats and you'll have yourself an awesome case. I hate leaving bad reviews because this is a very good case other than the tearing issue i had....have a blessed day and SHOOT ON

The backpack is HUGE. if you are looking to hold a couple cameras plus lenses this is great for you. there are also tuns of pockets. two things i did not appreciate: the plastic cover was never recieved, and every zipper pull i have pulled has broken. they must be cheaply attached. the tripod is great i have used it once so far. it is easy to figure out and set up/take down. overall alright product.

I ordered this bag for my wife's new Nikon DSLR and this bag can hold everything. In fact its almost too big, but we would rather it be to big than not big enough. Only issue I have is the tripod doesnt want to strap on to the side of the bag very easily. It took a good effort and didnt really mount on securely. But all and all it was a good price for what you get.

I just got this from a B&M store and returned it the next day. I have a Nikon D7000 and it was really tight. The velcro part of the quick-access rubs on the camera strap, causing it to fuzz (this is just after 4-5 times trying to store it in). On the positive side, the shoulder strap adjustment buckle is placed correctly and is very convenient; as opposed to the Lowepro slingshot where the buckle is on the bottom part of the bag causing you to contort your arm just to adjust/release the shoulder strap.

I've owned several Tamrac camera bags. Now i decided to give Vanguard a try and i can say that this is by far the best camera bag I've had. I bought this bag to use with my pentax K7 with lenses: 18-55mm, 50-200mm and 55mm. They all fit exactly right. The camera can be taken out in just seconds. The room for accessories is great. I can fit two extra batteries, an extra memory card, cleaning kit and snacks. And there's even more room to fit my North Face 50/50 Flight Series bottle in the outside pocket. The expansion feature and the rain cover are great extras. I'll be going this weekend to test it in the wild.

The side opening was too small for my Canon 5D Mark II. I guess with a lot of effort, I could force it in, thats without the neck strap. And once it's inside, you could only really fit one more lens inside the pack. It would be a really tight cramp. My 5D Mark II has a 24-105mm L attached by the way. Get this bag only if you have a small camera.

Other than that, the quality of the bag is really cool. I like the size of it. It has a nice compartment on top for accessories and the shoulder strap is pretty comfortable.

The bag itself is great. But i think they're selling it a little to broadly. I bought it for my Canon 60D, as it said it would fit, and it does, but it's a tight squeeze. In addition i was fitting a 18-200mm, a 70-300mm lens, and a speedlite 430ex. Will return it to upgrade to the vanguard up-rise 43. No fault given to the bag, just in how they were selling it.

The bag is nice, but it was too small for my HS50EXR Fujifilm camera. The velcro dividers could be moved, but a different setup was not really an option. It could really only be fitted in a single pattern, although you can move the dividers a little.

Good bag, but not for me. I am trying another.
