It stands on its own and the inside compartments are partitioned by moveable velcro dividers, which compartments are very sturdy as well. Some inner compartments throughout. The place for the camera is spacious and has more netted and zipped compartments here. Zipped compartments on the outside, handy backpack shoulder straps and a hand-strap at the top. Very useful and no comparison with my previous smaller camera bag. Recommended.

Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program Externally the bag looks very sharp: dark black with only a few bright orange accents that are fairly minimal. Inside it's a different story with very bright yellow it's a bit too much for my tastes however it does help illuminate inside the backpack (think of a dim lowlight situation). The internal configurability is top notch and the Velcro does stay in place remarkably well. Additionally there is padding everywhere there needs to be and I feel safe putting my SLR and expensive accessories in the backpack without any additional wrapping. Padding and reconfigurability are the core competencies of the backpack and this is where excels so well. There are lots of smaller pouches inside and outside of the bag but their ability to support objects of any depth is very limited (great for cables though). The back side of the pack has a mesh surface to help air circulation and well as some channels to provide additional air flow.

On the lesser attractions:

The nylon material looks like Cordura which is what you would expect on a duffel bag, but it seems a little less welcome on an expensive backpack. That being said there is a more aesthetically pleasing black grid nylon used quite a bit I wish they had used that everywhere externally.

The computer pouch is directly against your back it is padded, but the rigidity can become bothersome after having it on your back for a long time.

I also worry that the bright orange accents are basically plastic/rubber sewn into the main seems, not sure how these will wear long term.

Final thoughts:

The entire backpack is fairly rigid so it can't easily be compressed into a smaller form factor. It's also obviously a backpack, and backpacks aren't the easiest to get lenses in and out of easily. I would say at least 3 to 1 the professional photographers I know tend to use more of a messenger bag for easier entry.

It's like a regular padded backpack, but inside is where it counts in terms of padding and protection. It's got moveable partitions, so you can adjust it to your exact needs. Inside it looks like a bunch of different padded mini-rooms and configurations.

It can hold video and/or photo equipment, plus a laptop/netbook/tablet up to 15". Plus all the wires have their own home too.

Bottom line: it's expensive, but made very well and will last a long time.

I am using this backpack for my video package, so it is versatile in the type of equipment you can stow in it. This case is perfect for the Nikon S01--fits with ample room to spare, has a handy clip for a belt loop, and a neck strap to carry it that way. It'll be great when out and about in town or hiking in rough terrain.

The S01 is so compact, it easily fits in a pocket or purse, so can be carried everywhere, no excues not to have a camera with you all the time, expecially with this protective case.

I'm giving 4 stars to this Cannon PowerShot camera, because it's light, has a good sized screen, simple functions. It takes very good pictures, even in low light. I tried taking a picture of a flower in my living room and it came out great in low light. The camera does not have a touch screen like new ones, but it's good just for taking pictures with a very good resolution (16meg).

When I started getting more serious about photography, I picked up a Domke bag that has served me very well through the years. But, as my collection of gear has grown, I was having to pick and choose what lenses and accessories to take with me when I was out shooting, which also meant I had to store some of my gear separately. I've been trying to find a bag that doesn't scream "HEY! THERE'S A CAMERA IN HERE!" for awhile now. A bonus would be being able to carry my 13" Macbook Pro as well, so I don't have to carry a camera bag and laptop when I'm out shooting or going on vacation.

I met up with a fellow photographer a few weeks back and saw his Snoop backpack. I was instantly sold!

This bag hold a really good amount of gear. I'm able to fit the following into it:

Canon 5D MKII body

Canon 50MM L lens

Canon 24-70 L MKII

Canon Speedlite 580 EX Flash

Canon 85MM Lens

Offbrand Battery Grip

Canon 35 L Lens

On the interior, there are 3 sections for storage. You open the bag on the side, so the storage is as deep as the width of the bag, which is pretty good. Each section comes with two velcro "shelves" to divide the space vertically. They are padded, removable and adjustable and the shelves and velcro are both very strong. I'm really impressed with that. Everything above is in the main compartment and I still have room to stash more lenses or probably even a second body. I try to maximize the space, so I put all of my lenses in protective bags and then try to fit two into each opening/level, before placing the velcro shelf in.

I use the center row for my battery grip and body (usually with a lens attached). The two outer rows hold my lenses and other gear. It's a really good fit and everything feels secure.

At the back of the center compartment is the laptop cubby. The bag holds up to a 17" laptop but it also fits my 13" Macbook Pro and iPad Mini perfectly. They are secure and don't move much at all in transit. One thing I didn't realize is that you can access the laptop compartment two ways. You can open the side, which is how you load the lenses and access the full interior pocket. But there is also a quarter length zipper on the top that allows you to swing the bag around and take out your laptop without ever putting the bag down. That feature is really well thought out and it gets used on my bag constantly.

It even has a convenient zipper in the middle of the door, so you can unzip it, reach in and grab your camera out without setting the bag down.

On the inside of the main door, there are 3 zippered compartments; two mesh and one concealed. I use the mesh compartment to store battery chargers and extra batteries. They aren't very big, so it's a stretch but it works. In the center compartment, I stash all of my memory cards and my remote for the shutter.

This brings me to my only gripe with this bag: it needs more pockets. There are the 3 tiny ones on the inside of the bag door and there's one exterior compartment that's also kind of small or restrictive on what it will holds. I was able to put my camera strap in (I usually use a wrist strap), a few cords and I care BARELY push in my laptop charger.

Even with that said, I really am happy with the Snoop. It's well thought out, it's very well made and it's discrete. I'd recommend it to anyone who wants to carry a good amount of gear around, along with their laptop, and not look like a photographer with a bunch of gear. It's a great bag.

Looks good, feels good on my back. Has plenty of room for camera, accessories, and laptop with room to spare. It could use 1 or 2 extra easy access pockets, but that doesn't tarnish my view of it.

I am a diehard Timbuk2 fan, I've had the same laptop messenger bag for the last 7 years, after switching up from a kinda-silly messenger/backpack combo... It got drowned in Mountain Dew, and I finally found it's one true flaw the laptop liner is corduroy and non-removable, so I needed to use Damp-Rid to dry it out. Other than that, though, the years of abuse mostly came out in the wash, and the sucker looks almost brand new!

Anyway, on to the new bag! I'm a film major in college, and I'm doing a documentary senior project. That, and working as a videographer for the school newspaper's website. This has forced me to start lugging my camera and a fair bit of gear around quite a bit, and the old bag wasn't up to the task. I saw the high reviews for the messenger version of the Snoop, but I really wanted something more solid/rigid, something that could also perhaps serve as my regular bag when not in uber-video-mode.

As a camera bag, the Snoop excels, and so long as it fits under a standard airline seat (fingers crossed), I'm going to be very happy with it. I haven't quite figured out how to use the tripod straps but my tripod has its own bag, so it's kind of a non-issue. I'm already kind of wishing it had a few more pockets/secret compartments like my messenger bag the diverse size and shapes of those were really handy. Still, it's nice having the wide-open flexibility that the velcro dividers provide. Doesn't look like it'll work as a book bag, though I might be able to fit a moleskin for note taking in class, along with any homework to hand in (the outer pocket is a good fit for 8.5x11" paper).

I also like that it isn't *super* obivous, the way most of the DSLR bags are, while also not seeming like a laptop bag. If I really had a long trek somewhere to film, I could see wearing this for an extended period without any trouble... Oh yeah, which reminds me this bag feels REALLY heavy when it's empty. Kind of scarily so. But it also didn't seem that much heavier loaded (I know, weird, but). Anyway, transitioning from a messenger bag, it took a few days to get used to.

I really like the design of this backpack. The main compartment zipper is on the side of the backpack, so someone that might want to unzip it while you have it on has to come to the side of you instead of right behind you, especially if you have the zipper tabs meet at your back. Feels good while wearing it. I have a 500 mm lens that I carry in addition to two DSL cameras and three other lenses in the pack. I also really like the ability to move the cushions/divider around to meet the configuration of the equipment that I carry on any given day. I am a smaller female and find the backpack met my needs and isn't as tiring to wear as others I have had.

For a case just under $2, it's a good deal. I don't yet know what I will use it for. It is too large for a Canon Elph or Sony DSC-T9, and too small for my ultra zoom.

I will probably use it to protect some items while travelling. My Treo 650 Palm / Phone fits in it with a lot of room to spare.

The case has a belt clip on it that is not removeable. It is very tight, which is good because it's less likely to fall off. I prefer a belt loop for extra peace of mind.

So, I recommend this if you have some small items that you might want to travel with or protect, but I don't know of many cameras that would fit in it needing that much space.

Update: I have been finding uses for this. One example is coins for laundry. For $2, this is a good deal.

The backpack is HUGE. if you are looking to hold a couple cameras plus lenses this is great for you. there are also tuns of pockets. two things i did not appreciate: the plastic cover was never recieved, and every zipper pull i have pulled has broken. they must be cheaply attached. the tripod is great i have used it once so far. it is easy to figure out and set up/take down. overall alright product.

I ordered this bag for my wife's new Nikon DSLR and this bag can hold everything. In fact its almost too big, but we would rather it be to big than not big enough. Only issue I have is the tripod doesnt want to strap on to the side of the bag very easily. It took a good effort and didnt really mount on securely. But all and all it was a good price for what you get.

I wondered if this camera bag would fit the Canon 7D with the 15-85mm lens together with the reversed lens hood attached it does! It is a very close fit with some bulges and I do not know yet how durable the material will be in the long run, but for now it does the job perfectly.

(The 15-85mm lens is well under 4 inches long, but a very wide lens and there is no indication of the maximum lens width in the product description. The 15-85mm lens with lens hood attached has a 12.2 inches(31 cm) perimeter and 3.9 inches (10 cm) diameter.)

I would like to note though that it will definitely take more than just a second to get the camera out of the case or back in for storage, it is NOT a fast "walkaround" storage. It does however provide some protection to scratches or bumps and it is so light and the material is so flexible that the camera bag will not take up much space in a pocket or camera backpack. For me the latter was an important plus, so I am very happy with my purchase. Also the feel of the material is very nice and you can carry the camera on its neckstrap while it is in the neoprene bag.

All in all exactly what I was looking for with the only exception that it takes some time to get the camera in and out of the case.

It fits perfectly around the Nikon D7000 with the Nikon 18-200 VRII lens attached. If one swivels the lens hood around, that fits inside the cover as well. As some other reviewers mentioned, this product doesn't allow for easy in/out access to the camera as it is a pretty snug fit. It works well in situations when one wants to take a camera along but not the camera bag. With this neoprene cover on, I just "throw' the camera in my regular bag. If you are looking for a bag that allows for quick access, I would suggest looking elsewhere. However, if you're looking for some good soft padding around your camera without too much bulk and plan to use this bag for protection while traveling, etc. but plan on having the camera out while on location, then this is product is a good fit.

I was looking for a compact holster for ocasions in which I don't want to carry my camera bag around. There were 3 other brands I came across including Zing, OP/TECH USA, and USA Gear, before I discovered the LensCoat, which I think has the best design compared to the others. Each of the brands I mentioned earlier had some sort of problem (unattractive branding, inconvenient button snap closure, ...), but the LensCoat seem to have pulled it out.

Benefits:

I recently received a Samsung HZ-15W point and shoot camera and I wanted a case for it. It is a mid-sized camera, bigger than my Nikon CoolPix S550 but smaller than my Canon Power Shot. I was familiar with Lowepro from my many years in the photographic equipment industry and they have always made quality products. This little case is no different; it is well made and well thought out.

The front flap has a zippered pocket and is perfect for an extra memory card. A spare battery will fit in the front pouch (located under the velcro-ed front flap). The main compartment is accessed by another zipper and is lined. It comes with a little attachable strap and a belt loop. The Samsung camera has large LCD screen and this case will keep it from getting scratched. A wonderful little case for my new camera.

This is a very good camera case for the money. I bought it for an Olympus 9000. There is a little bit of extra room in the main compartment but not enought to allow damage. The small zipper close compartment on the very front is just right to hold extra memory, and the 3rd compartment underneath that can hold two extra batteries. The included neck strap and built-in belt loop are nice the only thing I would change would be to add a place for the camera wrist strap to come out of. If you have it out of the zipper, the bag hangs sideways or upside down. All in all a very good small to-go bag!

This case is durable and performs its duty. It's color is as shown and matches my hot pink Canon Powershot SD1400IS perfectly. The small zipper on the front is great for holding an extra memory card and the wrist strap is ideal for carrying it around. I spilled a beverage on it and it did not permeate through the cases surface; however, it did leave a small stain that I have yet to figure out how to get rid of.

I have the Canon PowerShot SD1400IS Digital Elph in pink. I was looking for a replacement to my Case Logic UNZB-2 Compact Camera Case (also in Pink) where my camera fits snugly. I bought this Neoprene sleeve made by RooCase hoping to have a place to store an extra battery and extra memory card. The little zip pocket in front is perfect for an extra battery and memory card but the main compartment is bigger than the Canon SD1400IS itself. This case is 1/2"-3/4" inch taller than the camera and 1/2" inch wider and doesn't have the stiff front panel (like the Case Logic case) to protect the LCD screen. The zippers are sturdy, the color is right and it has the extra little zip pocket but it's just bigger than I expected and doesn't have the stiff protective panel. Am still debating whether to return the case.

At a first look this little case seems light and flimsy but it does everything it is supposed to do at a reasonable price. It's nice to have the extra protection when the camera is traveling in a tossed around carry-on bag.

Seems like a solid case. Might be a little bulky but not that bad (too big to fit in my pocket). It has an elastic strap to hold the camera down and a net/pocket on the other side to hold extra batteries/cards. Also has a rotatable loop on the outside for maybe a neck strap or something, and comes with a carabiner.

I only dropped it down a star, because I bought this point and shoot camera so it would fit in my pocket. It might fit if I had a big cargo pocket.
