I have recently gotten a Nikon 1 J1, and it fits perfectly into this product. In the bag, I can fit the camera (with a lens attached to it), a lens hood, a charger, and another lens. There's also plenty of space for SD cards. The interior is soft and plush. I know my camera is well protected in the bag, and it seems very rugged.

This bag was totally made for the Nikon 1 J1! At first I looked at it and said there was no way that I can fit all my camera accessories in it, but I was proven wrong. It fits the camera, the 10-30mm lens, the 30-110 lens, lens filters, cleaning kit, SD cards, and battery charger with still more room to fit a few other things.

It doesn't have compartments but it does have padded velcro separators so you can adjust the size of the compartment that you need. It's well padded so you know the camera is well protected.

Overall it's a great little bag made for my Nikon 1 J1. Much better than the camera case I had bought for it. I also love the silver color because it goes with my white camera perfectly!

This holster/bag is a perfect fit for the new generation of small (but not pocket) digital cameras. I have a Sony DSC-HX1 and was looking for just a simple belt loop holster type when I didn't need to carry anything more than maybe a memory card. Though, I would really like a true holster like those found at , I couldn't justify the $200-300 prices. This bag appears to be well made with a soft yellow no-scratch interior. A nice added feature is having a rain cover included that I didn't know about. If the size is right for you, it's a good choice. By the way, my Sony is H 3.4 X W 4.6 X Depth 3.6. Even with the lens cover and neck strap, it fits snugly without a fuss.

Snugly fits my Sony DSC-RX100, which adds to the overall compact feel. Mostly pros, love the hard shell and material feel and the water protection for the zipper. The adjustable Velcro belt strap is a nice touch. Got a small pocket inside pocket as well for memory cards etc.

Only con is the inside of the zipper has no soft lining, so it might scratch the LCD. That doesn't mean it will. If you have LCD protection on your camera, that shouldn't matter.

This is a worthless and potentially damaging case for the Sony Cyber-shot RX100. Sony literature, included with the case, says the case is for use with the DSC-H30V, 30, 20V, 10V, 10, 9V, 9, 7, 90, & 70, BUT NOT RX100.

The case has major design flaws for the RX100. Specifically:

(1) Case has insufficient depth to accommodate the RX100 safely without applying undesirable, overall pressure that can damage either the lens, or the rear LCD screen or both.

(2) The interior of the front portion of the case has a large and rather thick, internal flap with Velcro fastener that closes an internal pocket presumably for storage of SD cards. The flap's location puts undesirable pressure on the iris opening cover of the front lens assembly potentially damaging it, OR pressure on the rear LCD screen potentially scratching/cracking it depending on which direction the camera faces in the case.

(3) The case's front and back covers must be squeezed together to close the zipper because the camera's depth is greater than the inside dimension of the case. This zippering action squeezes the camera in the case and against the rough internal pocket clasp. Two damage scenarios are likely: (1) If the lens' rather delicate, automatic-closing iris comes in contact with the clasp, it may be damaged; (2) If the LCD screen comes in contact with the clasp, it may be scratched or cracked. Under normal use, the camera will shake within the case increasing the damage potential. In addition, camera users have reported that the LCD screen scratches easily.

(4) Literature included with the case does not indicate use with the RX100, although it is advertised as an accessory for the RX100. It may be convenient for Sony to offer this existing case as a RX100 assessory, but, quite simply, the camera does not fit comfortably, without stress, in the case.

(5) Overall, I consider this a useless and potentially damaging case for a camera valued at $650.

So, by now many are saying, "Why all the fuss? This is just simply a case!"

My point exactly! Why can't Sony just simply design a case that fits and provides proper protection for the RX100, instead of using a one-fits-all, universal design more suitable for less demanding applications?

It doesn't hold much in the way of accessories but that's the only "slight' negative. It will protect your camera from a bump or a short fall due to it's hard shell in the front and overall protective quality. I position my camera front facing the hard side when I put it in the case. Recommended!

I love my X100. Best camera I've ever owned that gives me a desire to take photographs. The look and feel of a rangefinder camera makes the X100 a compelling camera.

The leather case makes it more so!

$139? Compared to the camera price, it's about 13% of the cost of the X100. Perhaps that makes it more palatable. By itself it's a hefty price for a case. However, once you put the case on the camera you forget the cost as emotions take over and you realize the case and camera were made for each other. They are both crafted and designed well, both needing each other to complete the look, feel, and emotion of owning the X100.

The case is made well, and should last for many years if treated right. It works as it should, and will give passerbys more reason to stop and ask how old your classic camera is around your neck. :)

This case is awesome. I got it as a present so not sure which store it came from, but it came in a nice black box and I'm pretty sure that mine is authentic as it's very well designed! I've read some people got a fake one that doesn't fit their camera perfectly... it should, mine does, and that's the whole point of a case like this!

From completely protecting your camera to taking a picture is 1 second. You just lift the magnetic flap on the bottom and lift the front protection over and under. You can even put the lens cap away and use this case instead as you walk around. The front center part is flat and hard so the lens is safe. The case is made of two parts. And you can remove and put back the front part very quickly as it's secured by two snap buttons. I usually take it off and put it in my backpack as it's kind of weird the way it's just hanging down there...

The bottom part is also easy to remove/put back, and you need to do that when you wish to change the battery or the card. Bottom is nice and flat so you can set the camera on the concrete without scratching the fragile aluminum. This camera is so easy to show signs of wear even after a gentle use when not using it with the case. The aluminum (or whatever metal this is) is like a dent magnet. Slightly brushed against it with my keyboard the other day and it got a scratch... but whatever, the camera is a tool even if this one's also a good looking one. Using this case looks like will keep it in one piece for a longer time, which is a good thing because I love this camera and it doesn't have any alternatives on the market at the moment.

I like the case because it's there when you need it and quick to get out of the way when you want to take a picture. Oh and it maintains the same style as the camera.

This case appears to be a fake. I had an original case from Fujifilm and bought this to replace the top half, which I had lost. This product is made a very different type of material. It may be leather, but it is definitely a cheaper quality leather or possibly vinyl. The base on this also doesn't have the flap on the real product for accessing the battery and memory card door. The word "Fujifilm" is embossed on the case, but the lettering doesn't look like the original. The case did come in what appeared to be a real Fujifilm box, but the box had clearly been opened and resealed and wasn't in new condition.

This is really appalling, as the knock-off cases on Amazon sell for $25. If you are okay with a knock-off (which are probably about as good for protecting the camera), buy one of those. If you want the real case from Fujifilm, don't buy this one.

I love my Fuji X100 camera and this case is a perfect fit. The X100 is styled like the classic range finder camera, something my parents would have used in the 50s & 60s and this case fits the retro style of the camera.

It fits the camera like a glove and I like how the top protion is removeable at the flick of a snap. Also the way the top portion folds up and over the camera and down when ready to shoot is very handy.

Yeah it pricey but what isn't in photography? I just had to have it.

This is a terrific case just as described; however please remember to keep one thing in mind...

It will only fit the camera as is, in other words even a filter will have an impact on the cases ability to close completely as designed. As such forget a lens hood etc.

I use this case with my Olympus Tough-8000. I have a spare Li-50B battery for my camera, which fits in the small velcro pocket. I also use a micro-SD card in my camera, and have a micro-SD to USB card reader, which fits securely in the elastic/mesh pocket. At first, I had concerns that either the battery or the card reader would slip out and get lost, but both remain very secure. The large pocket for your camera allows you to slide the camera in and out very easily. The material in this main compartment is really high quality, it's very soft and well padded (though supposedly my camera will survive most anything!). I toss this bag with my camera, battery, and card reader into my pack or purse or wherever, and don't worry about any of it. This bag is a great size, is well constructed, and looks great. The shoulder strap is very adjustable, so you can carry it completely across your body or on one shoulder, or there's a belt-loop. The rain cover is a great extra feature too, though I haven't gotten to actually test the water-resistance/proof of it. I love this bag, it is much more protective than a similar bag I used to use, more sturdy, more reliable, and better looking for pretty much the same price.

This case is excellent. You feel that the camera is safe in there, and there's enough space for a spare battery and SDHC card.

I have a Lumix LX3 camera and this case is just a little bit tight. The only problem with this case, is that you need some time to take the camera out of the case and vice-versa. When you are storing the camera, you need to fold and adjust the strap of the camera properly into the case, so you can close it. It's excellent when you are carrying your camera around, but not that practical when you need your camera a lot. Sometimes I don't take a photo because I'm too lazy to deal with the trouble of taking the camera out and store it back again.

Just bought a Sony DSC-RX100 and spent ridiculous amount of time comparing numerous camera cases both in-store and online. Bought the Apex 30 because of Lowepro reputation (owned other Lowepro cases in past) and what appeared to be rugged construction. Having received the case I can only rate it as OK.

Pro:

Good size to comfortably fit RX-100, couple of batteries, SD card, maybe a filter later.

Well built, but nothing that special. Like rubber bumper on bottom in case of drop.

Con:

Zipper not that smooth. Also zipper catches on orange fold at internal pocket often.

Cumbersome design where second pocket is internal to same pocket as camera. 99% of time you just need your camera.. but 100% of time you need to move internal flap out of way to reach camera makes camera compartment cluttered. Better to have a second zippered pocket for accessories.

Thin shoulder strap seems cheap and I assume uncomfortable after long day of dragging camera around.

Construction really not that much more rugged than other cases (other than rubber bumper).

Hard to clip shoulder strap to rubber band type side attachments.

Not bad but not as good as I expected.

After much research and comparisons, I felt the Case Logic DCB-302 case (http://www.amazon.com/Case-Logic-DCB-302-Compact-Camera/dp/B003F7DWH8/ref=cm_cr_pr_product_top) was the clear winner for the Sony RX-100. Surprised this case was better in design, construction and appearance than others from Lowepro, Sony etc but that is what I found.

The case is well made and has both a shoulder strap and wide loops for using it with a belt instead or in combination (slows down the thieves considerably when there is both a shoulder strap and a waist belt). The outer pocket is large enough for a few filters and lens cleaning supplies. The interior has room for a Four Thirds camera with a lens attached and room for a second lens as well.

There is not room for a full size flash, like the Metz 50 AF-1, but for people who are never going to take a flash or use a camera with an internal one, this case will be large enough. It is probably too small for use with a Four Thirds DSLR like the Olympus E-5, but it is fine for use with the mirrorless models. It would also be a good size bag for use with a small camcorder.

The main compartment is just big enough to carry the epl1 with the 14-42 lens and a Panasonic 45-200 lens sitting in its hood, if the divider is removed from the case. My VF2 viewfinder case is attached to the camera strap and fits nicely inside also. In the front pouch I have a spare battery, lens wipe, and a pouch containing a b&w +2 close-up filter, a b&w 2 stop ND fiilter, and the connector kit for my ipad. One side pocket holds the lenspen and the other my cell phone. When out and about this small package attaches to my belt leaving my hands free but still with the ability to quickly grab the camera. Ha, and no camera bag shoulder strap hastles. I do wish that one of the side pockets was bigger to hold a water bottle. The bag is well built and seems to have enough padding for equipment protection. If you want to travel with an almost complete 4/3 system in a small package, this bag is hard to beat.

I purchased this product for my Nikon D300. I have several lenses and other equipment in my photographic arsenal. These include:

All fit nicely within the main compartment. I chose this model because I like the added security of the opening being next to the body and not where some passerby can easily get to the contents. In addition I do a lot of nature photography and having the ability to get to my camera equipment by just spinning it around and without having to lay it on the ground is also an added plus. I have seen other photographers needing to remove their camera pack, place it on the ground to get into their pack. While this may not seem like a big deal, when you are shooting desert photography, laying your pack down and getting cactus needles embedded against their back makes for an uncomfortable rest of the day.

I was using the lowepro slingshot 200 before I bought the Flipside 300 and had trouble with the shoulder strap falling off my shoulder when I was hiking. This became quite annoying and frankly the slingshot was very uncomfortable on hikes. I want a pack that is lightweight, small and comfortable but will carry the essential photo gear when I hike. The Flipside rocks. The breast and waist straps keep the weight on the waist and not the shoulders. I love the tripod carrying option as well. It holds my Canon EOS7d with 70-300mm lens attached, 2 wide angle telephoto lenses, a 100mm macro lens and speedlight flash. The removable inside pocket holds an extra battery, charger, 3 polarizing filters, extra batteries for flash and a close up filter. There is also a water bottle pouch and a small zippered section for compact flash cards and a few personal items. Not a lot of room for non photo gear, but I cannot carry a lot of weight on my back, and I manage to tuck small bags of tail mix and dried fruit in the pack. I only want the essentials. This is not a backpackers pack it is a day pack and works beautifully for that purpose. The pack weighs about 20-25 lbs with all my gear in it, including the tripod. That's enough weight for me to carry. There is also the option to wear the camera around my neck and this opens some space for a light jacket or sweater inside the pack. Another nice feature is that is does not look like a photo gear pack and so does not attract attention in that regard. Also it opens from the inside so no one can pilfer without you knowing about it. I have used this pack on many hikes and find it suits all my needs.

The pack is rigid and well padded and I do not worry about my gear inside getting damaged. The pack feels as if was built to last with durable materials and solid stitching. I bought this backpack from Amazon almost a year ago. I've since used it many times, and have nothing but praise for both it's design and ease of use. I can fit my digital SLR, three lenses, my small digital camcorder, and there's even room for my wallet and cell phone! It's very roomy! Of course, the more you carry the heavier the bag gets...but still it is so well designed that it feels like you are hardly carrying anything at all. And the best feature (in my opinion) it only opens from the back, so you don't have to be worried about anyone unzipping and stealing any of your expensive camera equipment :) I can't recommend this backpack enough!

Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program This camera case is basically for any camera smaller than an SLR. It is like a regular camera gadget bag only smaller. The internal dimensions are approximately 7 x 4 inches by 5 inches deep. Within that standard block-shaped space you can position two included dividers to create up to three cells to separate your camera and any other equipment you might care to carry along with you.

There are two dedicated memory pockets under the lid. The pocket in the front of the case should not be used to carry anything that is small enough to slip out or smooth enough to slide out, because the pocket cannot be sealed. Things are held in the front pocket by the lid flap. The strap has a nice anti-slip area, which is a nice touch. The case is made of quality material throughout.

A permanent strap "handle" is convenient for carrying it like a little suitcase and two permanent straps on either end can be used to clip things to (or whatever your imagination can come up with).

It's a nice, quality product. But...

I don't like a flap whose only practical use seems to be to help keep things in the front pocket. If you were to remove the flap and make the front pocket sealable, you'd have a better product in my opinion. In case you didn't know, the contents of this case are kept safe because the lid is zippered. The latchable flap is just an annoyance to me.

There's one other weird thing. I would have liked it much better if the shoulder/neck strap and the small permanent carry strap were located in the middle of the case, right over the center of gravity, rather than on the corner of the case. Unless you carry it in your hands, using one of the two straps will cause the case to be tilted. That's just weird and awkward to me.

I gave it four stars instead of three because the very features that I don't like may be useful to someone else. The material is tough and the design is simple. But the flap and the offset carrying straps bother me.

It is being marketed as a bag for 4/3rd's style SLR's, but it has many uses beyond that as well (my Nikon D50 and lens can fit). Overall, the construction and quality is nice, however, for the price I would have expected better design, ergonomics and storage options.

Pros:

-Good material construction

-Small & lightweight

-2 dividers than can be placed anywhere within the bag

-2 memory card pouches

-Buckles and zipper closure provide options

-Clean, sleek look

Cons:

-Interior bag fabric not bonded to the padding could come loose or stretched after repeated repositioning of the dividers

-Expensive for the small size and limited storage options

-No zippered/velcro pockets other than for memory cards.

-Poor carrying ergonomics the strap and handle are positioned off-center, and feels like the camera can fall out if the flap isn't zippered shut.

The exterior construction is nice, the top flap can be either zipped shut, or simply buckled. The watchout here is that the strap and handle are not placed well. If your camera is in the bag, but the bag isn't zipped or buckled, you may find the camera tumbling out as you pick up the bag. Additionally, with the buckles attached to the underside of the flap, they're hard to get to and limited in adjustment.

Two dividers, one full depth and one 1/2 depth, allow you to create up to 3 compartments inside the bag, or you can remove them completely. The dividers stick anywhere within the bag, not just in certain spots. This lets you fully customize the interior. If you often rearrange the dividers, be aware that as you pull them off the sides, it tends to stretch the interior fabric. Over time, I could see the fabric stretching out.

Removing all the dividers, I was able to fit my Nikon D50 camera with 15-105mm lens in the bag. Granted, nothing else would fit, but this does make it a suitable bag for entry-level DSLR owners your camera and lens will fit, but you just won't have extra room. That makes this bag nice when you only want to carry just a camera and its lens, and don't want to deal with a huge bag.

With only one general-use pocket, which cannot be secured, valuables like a tripod mount, battery, etc don't feel secure. I would've preferred the pocket to either zip shut or at least have a velco tab, especially with the way the bag flips forward when picked up by the handle or strap.

I'm honestly stuck between 3 and 4 stars on this one, but feel it fell short on overall value ($50 at the time of this review). It's a quality bag, but a bit pricey and could've had some better ergonomic and design options. A simple bag might be worth the cost if it's perfectly designed, but I don't think Lowepro hit the mark on this one.

Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program The interior dimensions of this bag are approximately 7" x 4" x 5". It looks like a little lunch bag actually. It is well padded. I like that the padded separators are adjustable (with velcro). The position of the shoulder strap is kind of strange, located at the back of the bag. This is not a problem when I'm wearing the bag over my shoulders, but when I'm handling the bag it tends to tip forwards. A bit awkward, but I guess this will just take some getting used to. I like the small handle on the back of the bag. It has two small interior pockets for memory cards. Overall I would say that this is a good quality camera bag, but too expensive at the current price of just under fifty dollars.

Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program I have probably a half a dozen LowePro bags (the downside of having a photography hobby) and this bag is the first one that I thought was a bit of a disappointment. I like pockets on camera bags because there's no shortage of stuff you carry, from memory cards to misc cables.

Like all of the LowePro bags I have, they're built ruggedly very well padded and can handle some abuse. Something this small should feel like it should take some abuse. The camera fit a T2i with kit lens pretty snugly, but it's designed for those who went for the 4/3rds cameras. I'd even use this for a larger megazoom digital camera.

The price is what causes me some reservation. At $50, it's far more expensive than their other bags this size. I'd recommend something like the Lowepro Edit 100 Camcorder Bag (Black) or the Lowepro Adventura 170 Camera Case (Black) simply because if you've already bought a camera and an extra lens, you're on your way to spending more money on the camera for additional accessories.

This is a decent bag, but the price kills it.

Camera fits , and has a place to put sd hc card in plastic case and battery in plastic case. This is just for carrying the camera around , you would need a bigger or extra bag for cords, manuals , and whatever.

I already had 2 of these cases and needed another one because I could'nt find it local. I use these cases for a (Samsung WB750, WB150, Nikon S9050) and they fit these cameras perfectly. The case is well made and has a very soft interior. These cases are strong so I don't worry about the camera when there in them. If this is the size you need then go for it. Great Case!!

One piece of advice I received as a newbie photographer was to always keep my camera with me. I was tempted to purchase one of the many "camera purses" but kept being deterred by the cost. Instead, I got this little insert bag to use with a regular purse.

The bag is perfect for what I need. I shoot a Nikon D5100 with a 35mm lens. The camera fits in the center pocket of the bag with the lens attached. I have room on one side for my little speedlight and on the other for my battery charger. My ExpoDisc 52mm Neutral White Balance Filter EXPOD52 would fit in the bag if I removed it from its pouch, but I don't like to do that, so I usually clip the pouch to the strap on top. There is also a little zipper pocket on the front of the bag that I put an extra memory card in.

This bag fits well at the bottom of a backpack as well as in a fairly large purse. It protects my camera well and I feel safe toting my camera around with me. Since I don't carry much equipment, the size is perfect for me; however, if you carry multiple lenses, speedlights, etc., you will likely want something bigger. For every day use, though, this is a great bag.

I bought this for traveling to fit my Canon Rebel t4i with a standard kit lens and 300mm lens. It fits with the charger, both lenses and a cleaning cloth, with some room to spare. Fits in the bottom of a backpack so it's great for carry-on and isn't bulky. I'm really happy with it, exactly what I was looking for.
